- A packing (22) for the production of a closed portion package (1) wherein the packing includes a portion package (1) with a container (4) containing a substance serving for the production of a beverage, especially of coffee, and comprising a bottom (5), a sidewall (6) as well as a lid (3), wherein the bottom (5) serves for the introduction of an extraction fluid into the container (4), the lid (3) is destined to be opened by mechanical means and/or the pressure of the extraction fluid, and the sidewall (6), emanating from a conical or cylindrical sidewall portion, has on the side of the lid a radially outwardly extending flange (20) serving as sealing edge for the lid and terminating in a roll edge (2), wherein a sealing ring (10) is integrated into the packing (22) and the sealing ring (10) is adapted to be fixed on the container (4) below the sidewall flange (20) of the portion package between the conical or cylindrical sidewall portion (6, 7) and the roll edge (2) through release of the sealing ring (10) from the packing (22), characterized in that the sealing ring (10) rests on a support (23) formed by the packing (22) and the lid (3) and the roll edge (2) of the container (4) rest on the sealing ring (10), wherein the sealing ring (10) is released from the support (23) by the application of pressure onto the lid (3) of the container (4) and gets into its sealing position below the sidewall portion (20).
- The packing according to claim 1, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) is clamped.
- The packing according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) is glued.
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing ring is fixed at the conical or cylindrical sidewall portion (6, 7) by projections (11).
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the roll edge (2) includes a raised roll, especially a semi roll or a complete roll.
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sidewall (6) is formed conically and has a cylindrical portion (7) in its portion adjacent to the sidewall flange (20).
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) has a collar (14) pointing to the conical or cylindrical sidewall portion (6, 7).
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) is bevelled at its radial outside (15).
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) consists of foamed plastics or has a layer (13) of foamed plastics.
- The packing according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) has a thickness of 100-1000 µm.
- The packing according to claim 1, characterized in that the sealing ring (10) is part of a sealing material web (24) and has a predetermined breaking point (26) for releasing from the material web (24).
- The packing according to claim 1 or 11, characterized in that it is formed as press through packing.
