Claims (9)

  1. Balloon inflatable with compressed air having at its centre a source of illumination in the form of an electrical lamp and which consists of a plurality of gussets (5, 5', 5", etc.) which form meridians and are so connected to one another that they form an essentially spherical body, with the gussets (5, 5', 5", etc.) being manufactured from a particularly air impermeable fabric and with a connection disc (7) being present at the lower pole (4) of the sphere (1) at which all gussets (5, 5', 5", etc.) converge and which connects the balloon (1) in substantially airtight manner to a support rod (2),
    characterized in that
