Abstract

A number of spaced-apart parking bays are arranged parallel to each other, preferably at an oblique angle. A manually operated input/output device (11) is arranged at the entrance lane (1), registers the departure time of an arriving vehicle, and is connected to a car park control unit (12). Based on the input departure time, the input/output device allocates a free parking space in a parking bay comprising at least two adjacent parking places.

Description

Anlagen zur optimalen Ausnutzung des Parkraumes sind aus der DE 3 739 159 , der GB-A-2 233 319 sowie der JP 11161900 bekannt.Facilities for optimal use of the parking space are from the DE 3 739 159 , of the GB-A-2 233 319 as well as the JP 11161900 known.

The invention relates to a system for the optimal utilization of the parking space of parking lots for trucks and buses, consisting of at least one access lane, at least one parallel spaced parallel or approximately parallel thereto departure lane and a plurality of intervening, at least visually marked and obliquely extending parking strip.

In the coming years, a steady increase in car traffic, in particular lorry traffic, is expected. This particularly affects highways and long-distance roads as well as the associated parking and rest areas. The upcoming eastward enlargement of the EU also contributes to this increase in traffic, whereby it is assumed that a large part of the freight traffic is handled by trucks, which also burdens the highways and main roads. Truck drivers are legally obliged to take a break at the end of a given driving time, possibly to eat and / or drink and sleep as well. During these breaks, the lorries are parked in the area of motorways and trunk roads at parking or rest areas. A parked truck - including tractors with trailers or semitrailers - requires a floor space of about 200 m 2 . Such large areas are provided by the fact that a parking lot on a highway or a main road at least one access lane and at least one parallel or nearly parallel parallel departure lane, between which there are several, at least optically marked and preferably obliquely extending parking strip. Such a parking strip usually has only one parking space for a truck.

This is related to the fact that a possibly in this parking strip behind the first truck parked second truck could only leave if the first truck would have left its parking space in the parking strip. It can be seen that not only the flowing truck traffic, but also dormant trucks have significant capacity problems brings. For refueling and parking facilities on motorways and interstates, it has already been established today that lorries are parked in front of or behind petrol stations for lack of free parking spaces in the entrance and exit lanes and thus significantly affect traffic in the area of tank and service facilities. In addition, a truck parked at these points represents a risk of accidents that should not be underestimated. This is particularly true for an access lane to a refueling and rest area. If a truck is parked illegally here, the incoming traffic can lead to serious accidents.

In order to eliminate this emergency parking lot, the expansion of existing tank and rest facilities is increasingly made. Furthermore, privately operated truck stops are being created. All this is not feasible in a short time and requires considerable costs. Furthermore, significant areas are needed, which are sealed and from an ecological point of view represent a withdrawal from landscape.

The invention is therefore based on the object to reduce the land take and the associated negative effects. In addition, the existing parking space should be better utilized.

To solve this problem, a suitable for parking spaces of the type described above system is therefore proposed according to claim 1.

Such a system makes it possible to provide two or more parking spaces in each of the parking strips located between an access lane and a departure lane running at a distance, and to park two or more lorries and buses there behind one another without they are bothered by their different departure times. Thus, the existing on a parking or rest area parking area that can not be extended in a conventional manner, much better used and thus increase the capacity. The same applies to bus stations. The system of the invention requires only a relatively small effort and brings no high operating costs.

Further features of a system according to the invention are disclosed in claims 2 to 11.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in a drawing.

This drawing shows a plan view of a section on a parking area of a tank and rest facility not shown, as is common on highways and highways, but also in truck stops. Such a parking area is used for parking or for parking trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, to which include tractors 6 with trailer 7 or semitrailer 8 with semi-trailer 9 and buses. This parking area has an access lane 1 and a departure lane 2, which are arranged parallel to each other at a predetermined distance, which will be discussed later. However, a parallel arrangement is not essential, but convenient.

Between the access lane 1 and a departure lane 2 several parking strips 3 are provided which extend obliquely and, for example, at an angle of 45 ° to the access lane 1 and a departure lane 2. This facilitates traffic to reach and leave the parking strip 3. The individual parking strips 3 are marked by marking lines 4 and thereby separated from each other. The length of the individual parking strips 3 is preferably selected so that four trucks 5 - without a trailer - can be parked or parked one behind the other on a parking strip 3, for example. Such a length of the parking strip is feasible for new parking lots without difficulty. In existing parking areas, this is without great problems and without much effort to achieve that so far there existing central access and departure lane, which was previously located in the middle between the access lane 1 and a departure lane 2, rendered useless by minor renovation work and change the previously existing mark for the original purpose and the space gained for the now marked parking strip. 3 is used. On such a long parking strip 3 but can also, as the drawing can clearly see, two trucks 6 with trailer 7 or two semi-trailer 8 with semi-trailer 9 and another truck 5 parked or parked.

However, such long parking strips 3 can only be used without problems with regard to shutdown if the lorries 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 parked in a parking strip 3 are parked in such a way that the first truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 also first and the other trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 leave only after that time. To ensure this, this car park area is assigned a system consisting of an input and output device 11 located at the beginning of the access lane 1, which device is connected to an only indicated parking space control unit 12. This input and output device 11 is advantageously mounted so that it can be well served by the cab of the truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. On the other hand, it brings no disadvantages if the driver of the truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 would have to get off. If required, the input and output device 11 may also be accommodated in a special building and operated by a person instructed to control the parking area.

In the parking lot control unit 12, all parking strips 3 are now stored, advantageously with respect to their length. Now drives a truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 via the access lane 1 in the parking area, it will be coupled by the input and output device 11, if necessary, with a located in the access lane 1, but not shown barrier may be asked to enter the desired departure time. Depending on this departure time and the detected length, a still free parking space is assigned to it via the parking space control unit 12 by the input and output device 11 in one of the parking strips 3. This assignment can take place via a display device arranged in the input and output device 11 or via a printed parking slip.

When issuing a parking voucher, it is possible to collect parking fees by a parking fee cashier assigned to the input and output device 11 and to print out the charge amount on the parking voucher. The assigned parking lane is stored in the parking lot control unit 12. Later arriving lorries 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are assigned, also depending on their departure time and length, then free parking spaces in the same or in other parking strips 3. If the entered departure time is exceeded by a predetermined time, for example 15 or 20 minutes, the used parking space in the parking strip 3 is released and then, again depending on the entered departure time and the length of newly arriving trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are reassigned. However, in order to avoid, in principle, that newly arriving trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are assigned a parking space in a parking strip 3 that is still occupied by a truck 5,6,7,8,9 that is traveling considerably late, it is advantageous in the Exit area of the individual parking strips each provide a control device 13, which monitors the exit of the trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 from respective parking strip 3 and reports this to the parking lot control unit 12. These control devices 13 may be formed by threshold contacts, light barriers, induction loops or video equipment.

In order to avoid that when a truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 moves to a parking space in an unassigned parking strip 3, errors in the allocation of a free parking space for a newly arrived trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 to avoid, it is appropriate, even if in the entrance area of the individual parking strips 3 each have an already mentioned control device 14 is provided. The parking space control unit 12 can then be informed about this control device 14 as to whether an entering truck 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 has actually entered the allocated parking strip 3. If this is not the case, the parking lot control unit 12 corrects the actually approached parking strip 3 on the basis of the control message.

According to the input and output device 11 is configured with the computer 12 so that on the same and the length of the incoming trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 detected and the parking lot control unit 12 can be communicated.

This makes it possible to optimally utilize the length of the individual parking strips 3, as can be seen from the drawing in the lower three parking strips 3.

In principle, it is also possible to additionally provide in the area of the individual parking strips 3 of a parking area for trucks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 special control devices which completely monitor the occupancy of the respective parking strips 3 and notify the parking space control unit 12.

Furthermore, it is possible to connect several of the systems described, for example in the area of one or more highways, to a central computer. This makes it possible to detect the occupancy of parking spaces over a larger area and, if necessary, to inform the drivers of lorries 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 as so-called traffic information at an early stage, which parking spaces are already complete with lorries 5, 6, 7, 8 , 9 are occupied and where there are still free parking spaces. Depending on the configuration of the central computer then the reservation of a parking space on a parking strip of a later reachable parking lot could be done.
