Problems to be solved by the invention
In a game in which various characters appear as in patent document 1, generally, the characters are provided with superiority and inferiority in performance and the like. Therefore, for example, the ease with which a character that can make progress of a game favorable can also be a cause of collapsing the balance of the game, and therefore the following adjustments are conventionally made: the degree of rarity is determined for each character, and the rate of providing the corresponding card is made lower for the character with high rarity. In other words, regarding the proportion of cards provided to the player, the proportion of cards provided to characters having a low degree of rareness is high as a whole.
On the other hand, the cards corresponding to such a character with low rareness are obtained frequently, but the game does not progress favorably, and therefore, the number of cards obtained by the player is increased and the cards are gradually not used when the game is played. In the case of a method of supplying cards in the order of storage in the storage unit in the game device, cards corresponding to characters having a high degree of rareness may not be supplied depending on the timing of the player using the game device, and as a result, the interest of the player who cannot obtain such cards may be diminished.

Detailed Description
[ embodiment 1]
Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In addition, an embodiment described below describes an example in which the present invention is applied to a game device that can provide a game article as an example of the game device and can execute the following game: progress control is performed according to game information determined based on the game item. However, the present invention can be applied to any device having a function of reading information attached to an article and a function of providing an article.
In the present specification, "a" shot "is described as a concept for classifying game contents provided with services in a game device in detail in terms of a game system, an interesting element provided, the number of game elements that can be used, and the like. The "shot" of the game content may be switched when a so-called main update (major update) for the game content is executed, for example, and the specification, the function, and the like relating to the provision of at least one of the interesting elements may be changed or expanded before and after the switching of the shot. When the switch of the ammunition is completed, for example, the storage section for delivering and supplying the article after the switch is changed to the storage section corresponding to the switched ammunition, or the storage section for the article supplied in association with the play of the game is loaded with the article corresponding to the switched ammunition, thereby supplying the article corresponding to the ammunition. In the game device of the present embodiment, after the update of the cartridge that changes the game content is performed, the player can use the article related to the cartridge before switching (old cartridge) (can acquire information to play the game) when playing the game, but can acquire only the article related to the cartridge after switching (latest cartridge) as the article corresponding to the play of the game.
In the present embodiment, for the sake of simplicity, the description is given by performing the switching of the bullets of the game content by performing the main update of the software related to the game content, but the implementation of the present invention is not limited to this, and the bullets may be switched in accordance with the occurrence of an event such as a so-called minor update (minor update) or a promotion set in a time-limited manner.
The game content provided by the game device of the present embodiment is configured so that a game card, which is an article or a use article (game article) according to the present invention, can be used when a game is played. The game card corresponds to a certain game element related to the game content. The game card is attached with card information as shown in fig. 6 (a), which includes a card ID 601 for uniquely identifying the card and a character ID 602 for specifying a corresponding game element (e.g., a character). The game card is composed of: by acquiring the card information, the game element corresponding to the card can be made to appear in the game played by the game device.
In the following description, the game article is described as a game card, but the game article is not limited to a game card in the practice of the present invention. The game article may be any article configured to be able to acquire at least information for specifying the corresponding game element, and may be, for example, a shaped object such as a game body, a key chain, or an office (figure) having an appearance of the game element (character or prop). In this case, information for specifying the game elements corresponding to the card information may be acquired from a recording medium inside the shaped object or a part of the appearance such as a coating, a label, a print, or a shape attached to the shaped object. The game article may be not only a shaped article but also any article such as a paper medium or a sticker other than a game card. In the present embodiment, the description will be given by applying a predetermined conversion operation to convert card information attached to a game article into a one-dimensional or multi-dimensional pattern (code) and then attaching the pattern as visible information to a game card so as to be printed on the surface of the game card. However, the manner of attaching the card information to the game card is not limited to such a manner of attaching it as visible information to the game card, and may be any manner, such as attaching by printing with invisible ink, recording in a recording medium such as an IC chip included in the game card to hold it as data, or the like.
In the present embodiment, a description will be given of a game executed by a game device in which a game element that is present using a game card is a character and a pattern (character image) of the corresponding character is attached to the game card. However, it goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to this, and the game cards for specifying the game elements of the game content are not limited to those configured to be able to specify the character relating to the game of the content, and may be used to specify other game elements such as a prop and an activated effect.
Structure of Game apparatus 100
Next, the functional configuration of the game device 100 according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to the block diagram of fig. 1.
The control unit 101 is, for example, a CPU, and controls the operation of each module included in the game device 100. Specifically, the control unit 101 controls the operation of each module by reading out an operation program of each module recorded in the recording medium 102, for example, and expanding and executing the operation program in the memory 103.
The recording medium 102 is a recording device capable of persistently storing data, such as a nonvolatile memory or an HDD. The recording medium 102 stores, in addition to the operation programs of the respective modules included in the game device 100, information such as parameters necessary for the operation of the respective modules and various kinds of graphic data used in the game executed by the game device 100. The memory 103 is a storage device for temporarily storing data, such as a volatile memory. The memory 103 is used not only as an expansion area for the operation program of each module but also as a storage area for temporarily storing data and the like output during the operation of each module.
The payout detecting unit 104 detects that payout of the price is performed in the game apparatus 100. The payment of the price can be determined by, for example, detecting the input of a coin of a predetermined amount or a corresponding token (coin) to the coin input port, or the completion of the settlement processing based on the communication with the chip relating to the predetermined electronic money. The game device 100 of the present embodiment is described as starting a service (game mode) capable of performing a game play experience accompanied by providing a game card to a player based on the payment of a consideration, or a service (card exchange mode) capable of providing a new game card based on a game card owned by a player, which will be described later.
The acquisition unit 105 acquires information from the game card by the reader 120 during the progress of the game provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment. The reader 120 is provided so as to be incorporated in the same housing as the game device 100 or so as to be detachably connected to the game device 100 outside the game device 100. The reader 120 is configured to be able to acquire information from the game card, and the reader 120 outputs information acquired from the article to the acquisition unit 105 after receiving that the corresponding article has been placed. At this time, predetermined data conversion processing and the like may be performed in order to convert the card information acquired from the game card into a format suitable for use in each process of the game device 100. While the reader 120 is controlled to be in a state in which information can be acquired from the corresponding article, for example, predetermined image processing is applied to an image obtained by imaging, thereby detecting that the article is placed on a predetermined portion, and identifying the article or acquiring information from the article.
As described later, the game device 100 of the present embodiment has the following card exchange modes: a new game card is provided based on a plurality of game cards satisfying a predetermined condition, information of which is acquired when the device is used. In more detail, in the card exchange mode, the following conditions are made to provide a new game card even if a game is not played: the game card, which has acquired information at the time of use, is not used for playing the game, that is, even if information is acquired at the time of playing the game later, the character corresponding to the game card cannot be made available in the game. Therefore, in order to process the game card into a state in which it cannot be used, the reader 120 of the present embodiment includes, in addition to the card information acquisition function: a pull-in unit 121 that pulls in the game card, the information of which has been acquired, into the game device 100 if the game card satisfies a predetermined condition; a holding unit 122 for holding the drawn-in game card until the exchange condition is satisfied; and a processing unit 123 that processes the game card held by the holding unit 122 so that the game card cannot be used for playing the game (these internal components are not shown) when the exchange is determined.
For example, in the case where the game card is configured to have the code 301 as shown in fig. 3 (a), the processing of the processing unit 123 may be performed by: as shown in fig. 3 (b), a printed mark 302 is superimposed on a code 301 so that the code cannot be read; as shown in fig. 3 (c), a region of the code 301 is punctured; as shown in fig. 3 (d), an additional code 304 is printed in an area 303 indicating that it cannot be used; alternatively, as shown in fig. 3 (e), the portion of the game card including the code 301 is cut.
In the present embodiment, although the reader is described as a device that directly acquires information from the game card, a device that has a writing (information writing) function may be used instead of a device that has only a reading (information reading) function. In this case, the game cards are each provided with a storage medium configured to hold and rewrite information. Therefore, in this aspect, instead of the processing for changing the appearance of the game card, the state of the card may be changed by attaching information indicating that the state has become unusable for game play to a recording medium included in the game card.
In the present embodiment, the game card processed to be unusable is returned to the player for explanation. Therefore, strictly speaking, although different from "swap", in the present embodiment, the following case is referred to as "swap" for convenience: a game card that can be used originally is returned after being set in a state of being unusable, and a new game card that can be used is provided. Needless to say, the game card as the exchange source may be accommodated in a not-shown collection unit in the casing without being returned, and the provision of a new game card in the card exchange mode in the implementation of the present invention may be realized as "exchange".
The character DB 106 is a database that manages information (character information) of each of characters predetermined to be present in a game executed by the game device 100. In the game provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment, a plurality of characters can be present in a game related to one-time play. Further, regarding the same character, it is assumed that there can be a plurality of types of game cards (different patterns, different attributes, different rarefactions, and the like) in one or a plurality of plays of the game content, and the character information is managed for each game card. Namely, it is assumed that: even the same character is managed as different character information depending on the combination of which one of the shots of the game content is and which one of the corresponding cards (pattern cards) is.
As shown in fig. 6 (b), the character information managed for one character includes, in association with a character ID 611 uniquely identifying the character, level information 612 indicating a level in the game set for the character, shot count information 613 for identifying a shot of a game card to which the character is provided, a name, an attribute, and the like of the character, and in addition, predetermined progress parameters 614 describing inherent abilities of physical strength (durability), offensive power, defensive power, motivation, and special skill, drawing information 615 including graphic data and the like for generating a screen for presenting the character when the character is present in the game, and sound data 616 for presenting sounds in the same manner. The progress parameter 614 is information to be referred to in a game in which a character is present, and progress control of a provided game is performed by using the information. Therefore, the game information according to the present invention corresponds to character information, and the player causes the reader 120 to acquire information from a game card having a character ID for uniquely identifying a character in order to acquire the character information.
The presentation control unit 107 is responsible for controlling presentation of various information to the player in the game device 100. In the game device 100 of the present embodiment, the display unit 130 for displaying images (game screen, menu screen, and the like) and the sound output unit 140 for outputting sound are provided as means for presenting various information to the player, but the means for presenting information is not limited thereto, and may be replaced or added.
The presentation control unit 107 includes a drawing device such as a GPU, for example, and performs predetermined drawing processing when generating a screen to be displayed on the display unit 130. Specifically, the presentation control unit 107 performs appropriate arithmetic processing on a necessary drawing object based on processing and commands performed by the control unit 101 during operation (during game play and in a standby state) of the game device 100, and performs drawing of a screen. The generated screen is output to the display unit 130, which is a display device in the same housing as the game device 100 or detachably connected to the outside of the game device 100, and displayed in a predetermined display area, thereby being presented to the player.
The presentation control unit 107 includes a circuit for outputting and amplifying an audio signal, such as a sound card and an amplifier, and performs a predetermined process when generating audio to be output from the audio output unit 140. Specifically, the presentation control unit 107 determines audio data to be simultaneously output based on, for example, audio data recorded in advance in the recording medium 102, converts (D/a converts) the audio data into an electric audio signal, and outputs the electric audio signal to the audio output unit 140, thereby outputting the audio signal. The sound output unit 140 may be a predetermined speaker or the like, and outputs a sound wave based on the input sound signal.
The supply control unit 108 controls supply of a game card to be played in the game device 100. As described above, in the game device 100 according to the present embodiment, the game card related to the latest play of the game content can be provided, and the game card can be provided to the player by the provision control unit 108 controlling the provision unit 150.
The providing control unit 108 controls the providing unit 150 so that the providing unit 150 generally provides one game card for one game based on the payout of the price. The game card provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment is provided before the start of a game sequence in which, for example, a predetermined game related to the game content (a game link in which an operation character is operated: a match-up game) is executed in accordance with the completion of the payment of a match-up price, and is accompanied by (fixed) information that is predetermined for each game card regardless of the content of the play. The supply unit 150 is, for example, a card dispenser, and may be configured to have a not-shown storage unit (receiving unit) for stacking game cards in a vertical direction, and include the following mechanisms: one game card held at the lowermost part of the storage device is fed out by a feeding-out unit 153, not shown, in accordance with a feed command generated by the feed control unit 108.
In the game device 100 of the present embodiment, two types of storage devices, not shown, including the first storage portion 151 and the second storage portion 152 are provided for the game mode and the card exchange mode in order to make different the supply ratio of the game cards for each level. The first storage unit 151 stores game cards provided corresponding to a normal one-time game play related to the selected game mode, and the second storage unit 152 stores game cards provided by exchanging (usage rights of) a plurality of game cards related to the selected card exchange mode.
When the providing unit 150 is incorporated in the same housing as the game device 100, the provided game card can be provided to the player by being guided to the take-out port 154 (see fig. 2 a) accessible from the outside of the game device 100. The game card provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment is an off-the-shelf card that is printed in advance, and the character image, parameters, and other designs printed on the card surface are fixed and all have the same shape and the same size.
The operation input unit 109 is, for example, a user interface included in the game device 100, such as an operation member for direction input, an operation member for determination input, and various sensors. When detecting that an operation is input to the operation member, the operation input unit 109 outputs a control signal corresponding to the operation input to the control unit 101. In the present embodiment, the game device 100 is described as including various interfaces as physical operation members, but may include a touch input detection sensor or the like for detecting a touch input performed on the screen of the display unit 130, for example.
The communication unit 110 is a communication interface with an external device included in the game device 100. The communication section 110 is capable of connecting with an external device via a network (whether wired/wireless) such as a communication network such as the internet or a cable connecting apparatuses, so that transmission and reception of data are possible. The communication unit 110 converts information input as a transmission target into data of a predetermined format, for example, and transmits the data to an external device such as a server via a network. Further, when receiving information from an external device via a network, for example, the communication unit 110 decodes the information and stores the information in the memory 103. The game device 100 according to the present embodiment is configured to be able to receive program (update program) data obtained by packaging a program of game content from an external device via the communication unit 110. When the program data is received through the communication unit 110 and a request for updating the program is received, the control unit 101 can update the program of the game content currently stored in the recording medium 102 using the received program data in accordance with the update request. In addition, the update processing of the program of the game content can be executed, for example, by: the program data recorded in the recording medium is automatically executed when the program data is inserted into an optical drive, not shown, of the game device, or the like, or is executed by a start command from the administrator after the program data is inserted.
Card exchange
Next, the details of the card exchange performed when the card exchange mode is selected will be described.
The player can obtain a new game card in such a form as to exchange the plurality of game cards by making the reader 120 acquire information on the plurality of game cards satisfying a predetermined condition. More specifically, a new game card is provided on condition that the plurality of game cards are in a state in which they cannot be used for playing a game, that is, in the following state: even if information is acquired from the game card, the corresponding character is not presented, the character cannot be made to appear in the game, or the character is no longer an object to be exchanged with the game card. In the game device 100 of the present embodiment, it is necessary that all of the game cards to be exchanged (exchange sources) are the old game cards and the game cards corresponding to the characters whose level information indicates a predetermined level.
Here, the ranking information may be, for example, a degree of rareness (rareness) set for a character (or a game card corresponding to the character), and the degree of rareness is set in order of rare, super rare, unusual, and common (in order of rareness from high to low: the higher the rareness, the lower the flow or production, the lower the supply rate, and the lower the availability of the player). However, the level information managed in the character information corresponding to the game card is not necessarily determined based on the degree of rareness, and the corresponding character may be classified based on at least one of the level determined in the game, the level of the character category, and the like, various ability values included in the game parameters, and the degree of rareness, for example. In addition, for example, the ranks of the categories determined by the rank information may be arranged in an order in which the progress of the game is favorable.
In the following description, it is a necessary condition that the rank information corresponding to any one of the game cards of the plurality of old shots of the exchange source indicates a degree of "common" rarity. The game cards provided by the exchange are those of the latest game cards in which the corresponding rank information indicates "rare" or "unusual" degree of rareness. In this case, the number of game cards of the old round of the exchange source is set to a predetermined fixed number of game cards for the sake of simplicity of explanation, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the number may be dynamically determined according to a character corresponding to the game card of which information is acquired, and the degree of rareness of the character. Note that, although a plurality of old game cards as exchange sources can be described as exchange targets regardless of whether or not the game cards are the same as the characters, it is also acceptable to include a requirement that all the exchange targets be the same game card (character).
In the present embodiment, the game cards of old shots whose degree of rarity is constant (the degree of rarity does not exceed the degree of rarity) are used as objects to be exchanged, because the game cards of the rarity are easily provided to the players, and the number of players who use the game cards for playing the game is small. In other words, a game card in which the value of the exchange source is common is a card that may be expected to be exchanged because the player needs to be lowered due to the player having obtained a game card with a higher value or a game in which a new round can be played. In particular, in the case of providing a game card that is rarely or less rare but is the latest bullet in correspondence with a plurality of old bullets of game cards (common) as in the present embodiment, it is possible to obtain a game card that can make progress of the game more favorable than collecting a game card from the game of the latest bullet played from the beginning, and to efficiently play the game, and therefore it is easy to guide a so-called dormant player, such as a game device, to stop using the game device again.
In the present embodiment, the game cards with rare or unusual denominations among the latest game cards are stored in the second storage portion 152, and the game cards are supplied from the storage portion in the card exchange mode. This is to ensure that the player who plays the latest game plays obtains the interesting elements of the game cards of a high rarity level such as super rarity, or to avoid the unbalance of the game due to the easy availability of the game cards of a high rarity level. On the other hand, if the player holds a corresponding old round of game cards, the game cards of rare or unusual latest rounds are provided at a higher rate than when the normal game mode is played, although the game cards of high rare degree such as super rare are not provided. Therefore, in the card exchange mode, the play of the game is not required, and the game card of the designated degree of rareness is easily provided, so that the player who intends to collect the game card can efficiently collect the game card of the degree of rareness without consuming the time related to the play of the game.
In the present embodiment, the description is given assuming that the game cards provided by exchange are the latest game cards with rare or unusual rarity, but the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. As described above, the game cards provided in exchange may be limited to the latest round game cards having a rarity lower than a predetermined level (e.g., lower than a super rarity (rare, uncommon, and common)) so long as the influence on the game balance is avoided and the interest of the conventional card collection is ensured when the latest round game is played. In this case, the game device can be expected to be used by the player in the same manner by setting the supply ratio of the game cards of a rare degree other than the usual value supplied in the card exchange mode to be higher than the supply ratio in the game mode.
In the present embodiment, only the game cards of the old round that are common are exchanged so that even if a game card of a high degree of rarity that may be required by the player is erroneously used, the game card of the high degree of rarity is not made unusable, but the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. That is, the game cards as the exchange sources may be limited to those having a degree of rareness lower than a predetermined level, and the degree of rareness of the target need not be limited to those having a common degree.
In the card exchange mode, since the game card of the exchange source is in a state of being unusable when the exchange is performed as described above, notification of the effect that the card cannot be used for playing the game in the future and an operation input of the approval are required when the mode is used. After that, when the game card is mounted on the reader 120 and the card information is acquired, it is determined whether or not the game card can be a game card of an exchange source, that is, whether or not the rank information 612 indicates "common" degree of rareness, based on the character information corresponding to the card information. At this time, when the rarity of the game cards is high, the drawing-in unit 121 is driven to draw the game card as the exchange source into the game device 100 and hold the game card in the holding unit 122. The acquisition of information from the game card is repeated until the number of cards held as the exchange source game card reaches a predetermined number.
At this time, when the card information is acquired from the game card, for example, an image of a character corresponding to the game card is displayed on the display unit 130, thereby presenting the character. When the game card satisfies the condition of the game card as the exchange source, the presentation is continued, and when information is acquired from the subsequent game card, images of characters corresponding to the subsequent game card are presented together. As a result, the character image corresponding to the number of game cards held in the holding unit 122 is displayed on the display unit 130. When a predetermined number of game cards of the exchange source are held in the holding unit 122, an image of a character provided by the exchange is presented instead of the character image corresponding to the game cards. In the game device 100 of the present embodiment, since the game cards provided by exchange are any one of the game cards with rare or unusual rarity among the game cards that are newly played, it is sufficient to display an image group, a list, or the like of the corresponding character on the display unit 130 and notify that the game card corresponding to any one of the characters is to be provided.
After the character provided by the exchange is newly presented, the providing control unit 108 controls the sending unit 153 to send the game card from the second receiving unit 152 of the providing unit 150, thereby providing the game card related to the exchange to the player. Further, after the code region of the exchange source game card held by the holding unit 122 is processed by the processing unit 123, the game card is similarly sent out to the take-out port 154 and returned to the player.
Providing treatment
A specific process of the providing process performed when providing the game play experience in the game device 100 of the present embodiment having such a configuration will be described with reference to the flowchart of fig. 4. The processing corresponding to the flowchart can be realized by reading a corresponding processing program stored in the recording medium 102, for example, by the control unit 101, expanding the processing program in the memory 103, and executing the processing program.
The present providing process is started when the payout detection unit 104 detects that the payout of the value is completed, for example, while the game apparatus 100 is in the standby state. In the game provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment, a description is given of the game mode in which the match-up game in which characters corresponding to game cards are present and the card exchange mode in which only cards are exchanged are provided.
In S401, the control unit 101 causes the presentation control unit 107 to present a display and a sound related to the mode selection, and accepts an operation input related to the mode selection when the game device 100 is used this time. Then, the control unit 101 determines whether the mode selection is performed in which one of the game mode and the card exchange mode is selected. When the mode selection is performed such that the game mode is selected, the control unit 101 shifts the process to S402, and when the card exchange mode is selected, the control unit 101 shifts the process to S408.
In S402, the providing control unit 108 controls the providing unit 150 to provide the game card for the payout of the consideration related to the play in the current game mode under the control of the control unit 101. More specifically, the supply control unit 108 controls the sending unit 153 to send out the game card from the first receiving unit 151 of the supply unit 150, and supplies the game card. The game card provided at this time is provided in accordance with a normal play (game mode) of the latest round, and the game card (latest round) having any one of all the degrees of rareness set for the latest round is provided at a predetermined provision ratio. When the game card is provided, the control unit 101 causes the presentation control unit 107 to notify that the game card is to be provided.
In S403, the control unit 101 determines an opponent character that is present in the battle game during the current play of the game. The battle game provided by the game device 100 according to the present embodiment is explained as a battle game performed between the user characters (Player teams) each of which is action-controlled based on the operation of the Player and the opponent characters which are present in the game as NPCs (Non-Player characters). The number of use characters and opponent characters to be presented in the match-up game is predetermined, and in this step, the control unit 101 determines a required number of opponent characters, and adds information for the match-up game related to the opponent characters to the opponent character management table stored in the memory 103. The opponent character may be determined in response to an operation input that selects any one of a preset opponent character and a task (quest) associated with the opponent character, or the opponent character may be determined so that the operation input is not necessary based on the drawing process, for example, information on the game progress status of the player recorded in another recording medium.
Further, information of one record managed by the opponent character management table and the later-described character management table for one character may be, for example, a configuration in which information of the rank information 612 and the shot count information 613 is removed from character information, and it is sufficient to acquire necessary information from the character DB 106 based on the determined character ID of the opponent character and store the information.
In S404, the control unit 101 executes a registration process of registering a character used by a player who is going to be present in the battle game during the current play of the game. The registration process is performed by causing the reader 120 to sequentially acquire card information of game cards relating to characters desired to be discharged by the player. Therefore, in this step, the control unit 101 controls the reader 120 to be in a state where information can be acquired for a predetermined period. In the registration process, for example, when a new game card is detected, the acquisition unit 105 acquires an image obtained by imaging a code attached to the card, and applies a predetermined analysis process to acquire card information. Then, the control unit 101 acquires corresponding character information from the character DB 106 based on the character ID 602 of the acquired card information, thereby configuring information of one record (which may not include the rank information 612 and the bullet count information 613 as in the case of the opponent character), and additionally stores the information in the used character management table of the memory 103. Further, the battle game provided by the game device 100 according to the present embodiment is configured such that: the player can register the character to be used not only with the game card of the latest round but also with the game card of the old round. When information is acquired from the game card, the presentation control unit 107 presents the character corresponding to the game card to the player by displaying a character image on the display unit 130 or by reproducing sound data of the character under the control of the control unit 101.
In S405, the control unit 101 determines whether the registration of the use character has ended. The end of the registration of the character can be determined based on the detection of the player performing the operation input related to the end of the registration and the registration of the use character whose upper limit number has been already completed. The control unit 101 shifts the process to S406 if determining that the registration of the use character has been completed, and returns the process to S404 if determining that the registration has not been completed. Here, the following processing may be performed: when the number of used characters registered at the time of the registration is finished is smaller than the predetermined number, the characters lent for the present battle game are selected by a lottery process or the like, and information on the characters is added to the used character management table, thereby setting the number of used characters to the predetermined number.
In S406, the control unit 101 starts game processing relating to the registered match game in which the use character and the opponent character come out. More specifically, the control unit 101 starts the following game processing: progress control is performed based on the progress parameter 614 of each character with reference to the use character management table and the opponent character management table.
The battle game provided by the game device 100 of the present embodiment is terminated on the condition that: the round of the prescribed number of times has ended, or as a result of the action of the character on the scene, all of the characters of the user character and the opponent character become unable to act (for example, the physical strength sum is 0).
In S407, the control unit 101 determines whether or not the end condition of the battle game is satisfied. The control unit 101 shifts the process to S414 when determining that the end condition of the match game is satisfied, and repeats the process of this step until the end condition is satisfied when determining that the end condition of the match game is not satisfied.
On the other hand, when the card exchange mode is selected in S401, in S408, when the card exchange is performed, the control unit 101 causes the presentation control unit 107 to present that the game card of the exchange source cannot be used in the future game, and receives an operation input of the player regarding approval to use the card exchange mode. The control unit 101 shifts the process to S409 when determining that the card exchange mode is approved, and returns the process to S401 when determining that the card exchange mode is not approved.
In S409, the control unit 101 executes a process of accepting the game card of the exchange source. The acceptance process includes the following actions: as described above, when a game card is placed on the reader 120 by a player and the game card placed satisfies the condition of the game card as the exchange source, the pull-in section 121 pulls the game card into the game device 100 and holds the game card in the holding section 122. More specifically, in the reception process, the control unit 101 reads the character information of the character corresponding to the game card from the character DB 106 based on the character ID 602 of the card information acquired from the game card loaded on the reader 120. At this time, the presentation control unit 107 causes the display unit 130 to display the image of the corresponding character based on the drawing information 615 of the read character information under the control of the control unit 101. Further, when the image of the character corresponding to the exchange source game card is already displayed, the presentation control unit 107 performs display control so that the image of the character corresponding to the newly placed game card is displayed in addition to the image of the character. Then, the control unit 101 determines whether or not the condition of the game card as the exchange source is satisfied based on the level information 612 and the round count information 613 of the read character information. In the present embodiment, when the bullet count information 613 indicates the old bullet and the level information 612 indicates the degree of rareness of the regular bullet, the control unit 101 determines that the condition of the game card as the exchange source is satisfied. When the loaded game card satisfies the condition of the game card as the exchange source, the control unit 101 drives the pull-in unit 121 to pull the game card into the game device 100, and causes the holding unit 122 to hold the game card. At this time, when the game card placed satisfies the condition of the game card as the exchange source, the presentation control unit 107 performs display control under the control of the control unit 101 so that the following is added to the image of the character: the game card is temporarily taken into the game apparatus 100; the game card is returned after the exchange; and a character corresponding to the game card is determined as an exchange object. When the game card placed does not satisfy the condition of the game card as the exchange source, the presentation control unit 107 may control the display unit 130 and the sound output unit 140 so as to present the condition.
In S410, the control unit 101 determines whether or not the holding unit 122 holds a predetermined number of game cards of the exchange source related to the card exchange. The control unit 101 shifts the process to S411 when determining that the predetermined number of game cards of the exchange source have been held, and shifts the process to S409 when determining that the predetermined number of game cards of the exchange source have not been held. When the number of game cards held by the holding unit 122 is less than the predetermined number and the predetermined time limit related to the reception process has elapsed, the control unit 101 may send out the game cards held by the holding unit 122 to the take-out port 154 while maintaining the usable state, and may shift the process to S414. In this case, the presentation control unit 107 presents the following meaning under the control of the control unit 101: since the limit time is over and no new game card is provided, the game card of the exchange source stored by the player is returned in a usable state. Further, it is assumed that the consideration paid at the start of the providing process is also returned.
In the present embodiment, the description will be made on the case where the game card placed in the reader 120 satisfies the condition of the game card as the exchange source, and the game card is held in the holding unit 122 and whether or not the condition is satisfied is sequentially determined for each game card. For example, when the game device 100 is configured to be able to acquire card information from a plurality of game cards in parallel, whether or not to perform card exchange may be determined based on whether or not all character information on the game cards whose information is acquired at the same time satisfies a condition.
In S411, the presentation control unit 107 performs presentation of a performance related to card exchange under the control of the control unit 101. The presentation of the performance includes a display change of changing the group of character images originally displayed on the game card of the exchange source by the display unit 130 to images showing characters corresponding to the game cards that can be provided by the exchange, that is, the rare or unusual game cards that have recently been played, and a notification presentation of: for the exchange, a game card corresponding to a certain character included in the changed image is provided.
In S412, the supply control unit 108 controls the supply unit 150 to supply the game card related to the present card exchange under the control of the control unit 101. More specifically, the supply control unit 108 controls the sending unit 153 to send out the game card from the second receiving unit 152 of the supply unit 150, thereby supplying the game card. The game cards provided at this time are provided in accordance with either the rare or unusual game cards of the latest round at a predetermined provision ratio determined for exchange, unlike the game mode. When the game card is provided, the control unit 101 causes the presentation control unit 107 to notify that the game card is provided.
In S413, the control unit 101 causes the processing unit 123 to process the predetermined number of game cards of the exchange source held in the holding unit 122 so that the game cards are unusable, and then to feed out the game cards to the take-out port 154.
In S414, the control unit 101 executes various processes related to the end of use of the current game device 100, and completes the present providing process. This processing may include, for example, presentation of a game result by the presentation control unit 107, notification of completion of card exchange, and transition processing to a standby state.
As described above, according to the game device of the present embodiment, it is possible to provide an item that continues the interest of the player. More specifically, the game device can provide a new game card having a certain value in the game provided by the game device to the player on the condition that a game card of which the necessity is considered to be low among the game cards held by the player is not usable for the game. In this way, it is possible to increase interest in game contents for players who have stopped using the game device and who have used the game device for a long time, and to make the device more usable by obtaining a new game card.
[ embodiment 2]
In embodiment 1 described above, the following cases are assumed: the game card is provided for the service of old game contents, and the condition that the game card is provided for the exchange of the old game contents and the rarity is common is taken as a condition of the game card using the game card as an exchange source, and the game card satisfying the condition is set to be an object of the exchange with a low degree of need for the player. However, the game card that is less desirable to the player is not necessarily limited to this condition. That is, since the interest, the intention, and the style of the game play differ from player to player, it is not possible to determine whether or not the game card is a game card with a low level of need for the player, all together with the above-described conditions.
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the following mode is explained: the usage history of each game card is managed, and it is estimated whether the game card is necessary for the player holding the game card or not, based on the period in which the game card is not actually used, and the game card as the exchange source is determined based on the estimation. In the present embodiment, in consideration of the case where the game devices 100 are installed at a plurality of geographical locations and a player can use the devices at any one location, it is assumed that the usage history of the game cards of the player is managed in the server 500 connected to the plurality of game devices 100 via the network 510 as shown in fig. 2 (b).
Structure of Server
Next, the functional configuration of the server 500 of the game system according to the present embodiment including the game device 100 will be described with reference to the block diagram of fig. 5. In the present embodiment, the following description is assumed: the game information on the article of the present invention includes information on the use history of the game card, and only the information on the use history is managed in the server 500, that is, a part of information (information other than character information) related to the game information is managed in the server 500, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, information of character information and card use history, which is game information acquired based on a game card when the game card is used for playing a game and card exchange, may be managed by aggregating the information into the server 500. Alternatively, in a system in which the game device 100 provides a service by itself without performing network cooperation or the like, all information may be managed in the game device 100. Therefore, although the game information is managed separately in the game device 100 and the server 500 in the present embodiment, the game information may be managed by one or more devices in the implementation of the present invention, and the presence of an external device other than the game device 100 and the server 500 is not denied.
The server control unit 501 is, for example, a CPU, and controls the operation of each module included in the server 500. Specifically, the server control unit 501 reads an operation program of each module recorded in the server recording medium 502, for example, and controls the operation of each module by expanding and executing the operation program in the server memory 503.
The server recording medium 502 is a recording device capable of persistently storing data, such as a nonvolatile memory or an HDD. The server recording medium 502 stores information such as parameters necessary for the operation of each module, in addition to the operation program of each module included in the server 500. The server memory 503 is a storage device for temporarily storing data, such as a volatile memory. The server memory 503 is used not only as an expansion area for the operation program of each module, but also as a storage area for temporarily storing data and the like output during the operation of each module.
The card DB 504 is a database for managing information on the usage history of each circulated game card. As shown in fig. 6 (c), the information managed in the card DB 504 has usage history information 622 indicating the usage history of the game card in the game apparatus 100 in association with a card ID 621 that uniquely determines the game card. In the present embodiment, for simplicity, only information on the date and time when the game card is used when the game mode is used in the game apparatus 100 is managed and explained using the history information 622, but it goes without saying that information on an element created based on the game content of the executed match-up game, information for identifying the player holding the game card, and the like may be included.
The server communication unit 505 is a communication interface with an external device included in the server 500. The server communication unit 505 can be connected to an external device via a network 510 (wired/wireless) so as to transmit and receive data, and the network 510 may be a communication network such as the internet or a cable connecting devices. The server communication unit 505 converts information input as a transmission target into data of a predetermined format, for example, and transmits the data to an external device such as the game device 100 via the network 510. Further, the server communication unit 505 decodes and stores information into the server memory 503 when receiving the information from an external device via the network 510, for example.
Card exchange
Next, an outline of card exchange realized in the game system of the present embodiment will be described.
In the game system of the present embodiment, unlike embodiment 1, it is further determined whether or not a game card can be exchanged based on the usage history of the game card. That is, the condition of the game card as the exchange source determined in S409 of the providing process executed in the game device 100 is different from that of embodiment 1. Specifically, the control unit 101 reads out the character information of the character corresponding to the game card from the character DB 106 based on the character ID 602 of the card information acquired from the game card loaded on the reader 120, and transmits the card ID 601 of the acquired card information to the communication unit 110, transmits it to the server 500 together with a transmission request of the use history information, and acquires the corresponding use history information 622 from the server 500. Then, the control unit 101 determines whether or not the condition of the game card as the exchange source is satisfied based on the read level information 612 and the round count information 613 of the character information and the acquired use history information. In the present embodiment, when the bullet count information 613 indicates that the bullet is an old bullet, the level information 612 indicates a degree of rareness which is common, and a predetermined time has elapsed since the date and time indicated by the usage history information, the control unit 101 determines that the condition of the game card as the exchange source is satisfied. Here, the predetermined time period related to the determination of the use history information is a time period determined to determine that the player needs the game card less. That is, in the game device 100 of the present embodiment, the necessity level of the game card for the player is estimated based on the extent of the unused period since the last use of the game card, and it is determined whether or not the game card can be used as the exchange source.
Further, for example, when a player already holds a game card corresponding to the same character, the game card may be used for card exchange without being used at one time. In this case, since the use history information of the game card does not include information of the date and time last used in the game mode, the date when the manufacture of the game card is completed, the date when the game card is transported to the installation shop of the game device 100, the date when the latest pop of game content is distributed, and the like may be used instead. In the embodiment in which the card information of the game card is acquired when the game card is supplied from the game device 100, the server 500 may manage the information of the date and time at which the supply is completed as the use history information 622 instead of the information of the date and time used last in the game mode.
In this way, even when the player uses a game card that may be used for playing in the future for card exchange by mistake, it is possible to control not to use the game card as the exchange source.
In the present embodiment, as in embodiment 1, the description has been made on the condition that the game card as the exchange source includes the condition that the game card is common and old, but the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. This condition may be determined based on the unused period alone. Further, since the value of the game card estimated to be at a high level of rarity is high and is necessary for the player, the determination may be made based on the condition regarding the level of rarity and the unused period.
[ modification 1]
The requirements for card exchange according to the present invention are described with reference to embodiments 1 and 2, but the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above.
Normally, a player can obtain a game card by using the game device 100, but in recent years, the game card may be distributed in a different way from such a normal way. However, since the game cards provided in the card exchange have a prescribed value, providing a new game card based on a game card obtained through a non-formal route instead of playing the game properly impairs fairness among players, and is therefore not desirable. Therefore, each game card may be managed by including the player holding the game card in the game information, and all the game cards including the exchange source may be associated with the same player as a necessary condition as to whether or not the game card is provided by the exchange. In this case, the information of the player holding the game card may be configured as follows: for example, in the case where information is acquired from an article having another recording medium to which a player ID for identifying a player is attached at the time of playing a game, a game card (not associated with another player ID) for playing the game is associated with the player ID, and is managed by, for example, the card DB 504 of the server 500. Alternatively, for example, in a mode in which the supply unit 150 of the game device 100 is configured by a printing device or the like and is configured to be able to generate a game card by so-called on-demand printing based on the content of the game play or the like, arbitrary information can be attached to the generated game card, and therefore, a player ID for identifying a player may be attached to the game card as card information.
In the above-described embodiment, the ready-made cards prepared in advance are stored in the storage portions, and one game card is randomly sent out from the storage portion at a predetermined supply timing and supplied to the player, but the present invention is not limited to this in an embodiment in which the supply portion 150 (or at least the configuration of supplying the game card in the card exchange mode) can perform on-demand printing as described above. In the method of providing a game card by on-demand printing, since a game card corresponding to an arbitrary character can be generated, in presentation of a performance related to card exchange, a character corresponding to a game card provided by exchange can be presented before provision, and interest related to card exchange can be enhanced. In this aspect, for example, the player can select a character to obtain a game card by exchanging from among the characters that can be presented and can provide the character, and can provide the player with a game card corresponding to the desired character. Further, for example, the role associated by the card exchange is not dependent on the game cards stored in the second storage unit 152 by the drawing process or the like, that is, even in which game device 100 is intended to use the card exchange mode, it is possible to realize fair card exchange always in accordance with a predetermined probability of being provided.
Further, the character corresponding to the game card provided by the exchange may be determined based on the game card of the exchange source. This determination may be made based on the number of game cards of the exchange source, the combination of characters corresponding to the game cards of the exchange source, the number of times each game card of the exchange source is used, and the like.
For example, the degree of rareness of the game cards to be provided may be determined based on the number of game cards of the exchange source (the more the number of game cards is, the higher the rareness is), and the character corresponding to the game card to be provided may be determined from among the characters that match the degree of rareness.
For example, a combination of game cards (or characters corresponding to the game cards) that need to acquire information from the game card as the exchange source may be determined in advance as the provision condition for each character to which the game card is to be provided in the card exchange. In this case, for example, the following may be used: instead of the group of character images displayed for the game card, an image of a character that satisfies the provision condition is displayed on the display unit 130 in accordance with a combination with the game card of the exchange source, and then a game card of a character that satisfies the provision condition is generated by printing as needed and provided.
In the aspect in which the condition for determining the number of game cards is not determined for the exchange source, the provision condition can be set for a combination of various numbers of game cards, and a situation can be assumed in which the combination of the game cards of the exchange source satisfies a plurality of provision conditions, but in this case, the configuration may be such that: the player's desired character can be selected from among the characters satisfying the condition to provide a corresponding game card. Further, when a combination of game cards of the exchange source of the acquired information does not satisfy a specific provision condition and a predetermined number of game cards can be added as the game cards of the exchange source and the information can be acquired to satisfy the provision condition, the information indicating that the provision condition is satisfied by the addition and acquisition of the information and from which game card the information is acquired to satisfy the provision condition may be notified. That is, if the card exchange is performed, the game card of the exchange source becomes a state in which it cannot be used, and therefore, it is preferable to ensure an appropriate exchange opportunity by notifying the situation when other provision conditions can be satisfied.
In the card exchange mode, the control of providing a new game card corresponding to the game card of the exchange source can be realized without being limited to the on-demand printing method in the providing unit 150. For example, the following may be used: the game cards provided by the exchange are sorted by the rank information and the character and stored in different storage units, and the provision control unit 108 controls the sending unit 153 to send the game cards from the corresponding storage units based on the game information on the game cards of the exchange source.
In addition, although the description has been made on the game card of the exchange source being the game card provided in association with the game content of the old round, the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, although the game card is provided in accordance with the game content of the latest shot, it may be desirable to exchange a game card that is less rare and that can be repeatedly acquired by the player, and therefore, the game card may be used as a game card that is not limited to the old shot but may be a game card that uses such a game card as an exchange source. In this way, even a player who starts playing a game from a new piece of game content can experience interesting elements related to card exchange, and as a result, the player can be encouraged to actively use the device. Further, although the description has been made on the condition that a plurality of game cards are provided as the exchange source, the present invention is not limited to this, and a new game card may be provided based on one or more game cards.
Further, the description has been made on the condition that the game cards of the exchange source are less than the predetermined value (level), but the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, it is also possible to provide: the number of game cards that can be the exchange source is determined by the rank information (the higher the rank is, the larger the number of game cards is), and regardless of which rank is the game card, the information of the game card of the same rank that is equal to or greater than the determined number of game cards can be acquired and used as the exchange source game card. In this case, in consideration of the benefit of the player, it is preferable to provide a game card showing the rank information above the game card of the exchange source.
Further, although the description has been given assuming that the game card provided by the exchange is the latest game card, the practice of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the game card provided by the exchange may also be a game card showing an old round exceeding the rank information of the game card of the exchange source. Alternatively, the game card provided by the exchange may be a game card showing an old round of rank information equivalent to the game card of the exchange source if the game card is set in a state associated with (given) privilege information so that the progress of the game becomes more advantageous when used for playing the game than the game card obtained in the use of the normal game mode. The specific information may be added by managing the card ID in association therewith as in embodiment 2, or may be added by information included in the card in a game card configured to be capable of adding information.
