Detailed Description
In the following, the term "automated motor vehicle" is synonymous in meaning with partially automated motor vehicle, autonomous motor vehicle and partially autonomous motor vehicle.
A core idea of the invention is to provide a method by which a motor vehicle can be registered in a secure manner at an infrastructure. This should be possible, since unauthorized vehicles should not gain access to the infrastructure. In this way, only permitted vehicles (for example, regular renters of parking spaces of a stereo parking lot) can be driven into the infrastructure, as a result of which the level of general safety of the defined driving area is advantageously increased.
In the following, the mode of action of an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained with reference to fig. 1.
An infrastructure 100 is identified, for example in the form of a parking space, a company yard, a free space with a secure entrance, a road section with a secure entrance, etc., into which the motor vehicle 30 is intended to drive and which for this purpose has to be registered in the infrastructure 100 or authenticated at the infrastructure. For this purpose, when the motor vehicle 30 approaches the infrastructure 100, a first coded signal S1 is generated by the signaling device 10, for example in the form of an electronic computing device, which coded signal is transmitted electrically by way of a cable connection via the line 12 to the first transmission device 20.
In this case, the first transmission device 20 is designed as an LED or infrared device, which is capable of wirelessly transmitting or transmitting the first coded signal S1 to the motor vehicle 30. In this case, the first coded signal S1 is preferably generated by a defined chronological sequence of the input states and output states of the first transmission device 20. Here, the infrared device has the advantages that: the radiation emitted by it is not visible to the human eye, but is nevertheless perceived by the first receiving device 31 of the motor vehicle 30.
The first coded signal S1 is received by means of a first receiving device 31, which is arranged on the motor vehicle 30 and is designed, for example, as a camera.
Thereafter, the first coded signal S1 is evaluated or verified by means of an evaluation device (not shown) arranged in the first receiving device 31 or, alternatively, in the motor vehicle 30 separately therefrom.
In the event of successful or valid verification of the first code signal S1 by the motor vehicle 30, a second code signal S2 is then emitted or wirelessly transmitted by the motor vehicle 30 by means of the second transmission device 32, the code of the second code signal S2 defining the code assigned to the first code signal S1.
In this case, the second transmission device 32 can be designed as at least one LED of a motor vehicle headlight or as an LED arranged additionally or alternatively on the motor vehicle 30. Alternatively or additionally, the second transmission device 32 can also be designed as an infrared device of the motor vehicle 30. The second transmission device 32, which is embodied as an infrared device, has the advantage here that: the radiation emitted by it is not visible to the human eye, but is nevertheless perceived by the second receiving means 11 of the infrastructure 100.
The second coded signal S2 emitted by the second transmission device 32 of the motor vehicle 30 is received by the second receiving device 11 of the infrastructure 100, which is embodied, for example, as a camera, and is forwarded to the signaling device 10 via the line 13. The received second coded signal S2 is evaluated or verified by the signaling device 10. In the event that the transmitted second code signal S2 has a valid specification, i.e., has been verified to be correct, the motor vehicle 30 is authenticated in such a way that the motor vehicle 30 is permitted for the infrastructure 100.
For example, in a further sequence, it can be provided that the barrier of the infrastructure 100 is opened, so that the motor vehicle 30 can be driven into the infrastructure 100.
For example, in other sequences, it can be provided that, in the case of an automated vehicle 30, the vehicle is controlled by the infrastructure 100, wherein, for example, the vehicle 30 is controlled in a sky parking space. For this purpose, it can be provided that suitable control commands are transmitted to the vehicle actuators of the motor vehicle 30 by means of suitable wireless communication technology, for example WLAN, mobile radio or the like.
Optionally, provision can be made for the coded signals S1, S2 to be emitted, for example, in an acyclic and/or code-loaded manner, which is transformed according to a defined time period, wherein the safety level can thereby be significantly increased for the proposed method.
Advantageously, the method according to the invention can be implemented as software which is executed on the signaling device 10, on the evaluation device of the motor vehicle 30 and/or on an external computing device. In this way, a simple adaptation of the method is supported. As an alternative configuration of the method, it is also conceivable for the coded signals S1, S2 to be embodied as radio signals which are generated by the signaling device 10 and emitted by a suitable transmission device 20, 32, for example in the form of a radio-emitting device, and received by a suitable receiving device 31, 11, for example in the form of a radio-receiving device.
Fig. 2 shows a schematic flow of an embodiment of the method according to the invention.
In step 200, a first coded signal S1 is generated by means of signaling device 10.
In step 210, the first coded signal S1 is wirelessly transmitted to the motor vehicle 30 by means of the first transmission device 20.
In step 220, the first coded signal S1 is received and verified by means of the first receiving device 31 arranged on the motor vehicle 30.
In step 230, in the event that the first code signal S1 has been successfully verified by the motor vehicle 30, the second code signal S2 is wirelessly transmitted to the second receiving device 11 by means of the second transmitting device 32 arranged on the motor vehicle 30.
In step 240, the second coded signal S2 is received by means of the second receiving means 11.
In step 250, the second coded signal S2 is verified by means of the signaling device 10.
Finally, in step 260, the motor vehicle 30 is authenticated if the second code signal S2 is validated.
To summarize, the invention proposes a method and a device for authenticating a motor vehicle. For this purpose, the compiled emission signal or light signal is transmitted bidirectionally between the infrastructure and the motor vehicle, whereby an inbound check with a high degree of safety is provided. Advantageously, the authentication procedure explained for secure authentication needs to be performed only once each.
The features of the invention are changed and/or combined with each other in a suitable manner by the expert without departing from the core of the invention.
