Description

Cabinet monitoring system
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cabinet monitoring system for monitoring a situation in each cabinet provided in a data center or the like, and more particularly, to improvement of operability of setting and modification of a monitoring screen.
Background
Conventionally, in a data center in which a plurality of racks are arranged and a plurality of servers are housed in each rack, there is a rack management system in which: in order to monitor the locked/unlocked state of the cabinet and the state of the inside of the cabinet from the outside, for example, a cabinet management apparatus that collects data such as the locked/unlocked state of the cabinet, the current and the temperature in the cabinet, and transmits the data to the outside is provided for each cabinet, and measurement data of the cabinet management apparatus is obtained from the outside by a monitoring apparatus such as a personal computer, and the management can be performed from the outside. Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
The cabinet management apparatus for collecting data in the cabinet is required to be set up because the types of the connected sensors and devices and the number of the connected sensors and devices are different according to the type of the set cabinet or the requirement of the administrator, and also required to be set up for performing communication with the monitoring apparatus through the communication network. Although this initial setting operation is performed by opening a Web page for setting using a monitoring device or the like, it is troublesome when there are a plurality of setting items, and particularly, when the number of cabinets is large and a plurality of cabinet management devices must be set, a burden is imposed on an operator.
In addition, although the Web page displayed when setting operations or monitoring the cabinet state is arranged and the like has been laid out with time and effort to easily grasp the setting or state, there is a demand for a screen to be original by modifying title characters, company logo marks, and the like on the Web page, and in response to such a demand, it is necessary to install a new image, add character fonts, and the like, which requires time and cost.
Further, since the Web page displayed on the monitoring apparatus or the like is based on japanese display, the language must be modified to chinese when the chinese circle is used. The modification of this language is not only to modify the characters of the Web page, but also to change the input characters into chinese, and thus is not simple and makes the modification operation enormous.
For example, in japanese the full-size character is a 2-byte character code, but in chinese (GB18030), the full-size character is 2 bytes and 4 bytes, which are variable in size. Thus, when converting from Japanese to Chinese, the byte number of each full-angle character is different, which causes the need of modifying the whole firmware for processing the character, and when redesigning the product designed based on Japanese into the product with Chinese standard, the software must be modified greatly.
In view of the above-described problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a rack monitoring system that, even when there are a plurality of rack management apparatuses that collect data in a rack, can perform initial setting of each rack management apparatus by a simple operation, can relatively easily modify a title character or the like of a Web page, and can input a chinese language without significantly modifying software based on a japanese language input method when a Web screen is changed from a japanese language screen to a chinese language screen and the operation is performed in a chinese language.
Means for solving the problems
In order to solve the above problems, the invention according to item (1) is a cabinet monitoring system for monitoring an environment in a cabinet in which information equipment is stored, the system comprising: obtaining environmental information including current information supplied to power supplies within the cabinet and transmitting the measurements to a plurality of external cabinet management devices; and a monitoring device which communicates with the cabinet management device through a communication network, obtains a measured value, and externally monitors the cabinet, wherein the monitoring device has a setting data storage unit which downloads and stores initial setting data from one cabinet management device which has completed initial setting including current measurement conditions and system setting for connecting to the communication network, and a read control unit, and on the other hand, the other cabinet management devices have a setting control unit which performs initial setting using the initial setting data when the initial setting data stored in the setting data storage unit is transmitted from the monitoring device.
With this configuration, even if there are a plurality of cabinet management apparatuses to be initially set, if one cabinet management apparatus is initially set, the other cabinet management apparatuses can be initially set by copying operation, and the plurality of cabinet management apparatuses can be initially set by simple operation.
The invention according to claim (2) is the structure described in claim (1), wherein the cabinet management apparatus includes: a Web page for displaying environmental information; a Web page for performing a modification operation on at least one of a logo mark and a device name displayed in a header area of the Web page; a title information storage unit for storing a plurality of logo marks or device names to be modified; and a display control unit that controls display modification of the title area, wherein the monitoring device includes: the system comprises a Web browser and a display, wherein the Web browser is used for displaying Web pages; and an operation section that performs a modification operation on the display of the title area.
According to this configuration, since the display of the title area of the Web page can be modified by the monitor apparatus and the display of the title area can be modified by a simple operation of the selection operation, the display of the title area can be easily modified.
The invention according to claim (3) is the structure according to claim (1) or (2), wherein the cabinet management apparatus includes: a Web page storage unit for storing a Web page for modifying the setting of the opening and closing control of the door of the cabinet; and a modification control unit for controlling modification of the setting, wherein the monitoring device displays a Web page on the display, the modification of the door opening/closing control is enabled by operation of the operation unit, the Web page storage unit stores a japanese language display page that can be set in japanese and a chinese language display page that can be set in chinese, and when the chinese language display page is selected in the monitoring device, the modification control unit processes all of the chinese full-character codes input from the monitoring device with a size of 4 bytes, and can limit the number of input characters to one-half of the number of japanese input characters.
According to this configuration, since all the character code sizes of the full-size characters are determined to be 4 bytes and processed for the chinese input, it is not necessary to greatly modify the firmware relating to the reading/writing of the setting data from the japanese standard, and the setting can be simply modified. In addition, since the number of characters that can be input at this time is one-half of the number of characters input in japanese and the data size itself does not change, no error occurs even if the character code size is 2 times as large as 2 bytes in japanese.
Effects of the invention
According to the present invention, even if there are a plurality of cabinet management apparatuses to be monitored by a monitoring apparatus, if one cabinet management apparatus is initially set, other cabinet management apparatuses can be initially set by batch copy, and initial setting of a plurality of cabinet management apparatuses can be performed by a simple operation.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments embodying the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a configuration diagram of a cabinet monitoring system according to the present invention, wherein 1 is a cabinet management apparatus that collects data such as temperature in a cabinet, and 2 is a monitoring apparatus that monitors the state of the cabinet. The cabinet management apparatus 1 and the monitoring apparatus 2 are connected to each other via a communication network N such as the internet to perform communication.
The cabinet management device 1 includes: an output IF 11 connected to an electronic lock 16 of a cabinet door (not shown); an input IF 12a connected to a door sensor 17 for detecting opening and closing of the cabinet door; a measurement input IF 12b connected to a current sensor 18 for measuring a current flowing through a power supply cable (not shown) for supplying power to the equipment in the cabinet, a voltage sensor 19 for measuring a voltage of the power supply cable, a temperature sensor 20 for measuring a temperature in the cabinet, and the like; a storage section 13 that stores HTML, a Web image file formed of a plurality of Web pages, setting data, and the like in addition to the measurement data; a management apparatus CPU 14 that controls the cabinet management apparatus 1; a communication IF 15 for communicating with the monitoring apparatus 2 through the communication network N, and the like.
The monitoring device 2 includes: a monitoring device CPU21 provided with a Web browser 21 a; a display 22 for displaying Web pages; an operation unit 23 for performing various operations; a setting data storage unit 24 for storing setting data and the like described later; the communication IF 25 and the like for communicating with the cabinet management apparatus 1 via the communication network N may be configured by, for example, a personal computer.
The cabinet monitoring system configured as described above completes the initial setting of the equipment at each operation, but the initial setting of the cabinet management apparatus 1 may be performed as follows. First, the cabinet management apparatus 1 uniformly completes temporary setting of its own system such as an IP address and an apparatus name at the time of factory shipment. On the other hand, system data of temporary settings of the cabinet management apparatus 1 is registered in the monitoring apparatus 2, and the cabinet management apparatus 1 as a setting target can be accessed through the communication network N based on the temporary information.
In this case, although there are a plurality of the cabinet management apparatuses 1 to be installed, there is a possibility that all of them are temporarily set to the same address, and therefore, in order to prevent a communication error from occurring, they are sequentially connected to the communication network N at the time of the installation procedure.
The monitoring apparatus 2 accessing the cabinet management apparatus 1 to be installed selects a Web page for performing predetermined initial setting from the storage unit 13 of the cabinet management apparatus 1, displays the Web page on the display 22, and performs the initial setting in accordance with the displayed guidance. At this time, system settings such as an IP address and a device name, SNMP settings such as an administrator address and a password, time settings, user login settings such as a password, current input settings such as the type of a current sensor to be used, sensor settings such as a temperature sensor, e-mail settings such as an SMTP server, and device detailed settings such as a measurement interval are performed.
In this way, after the initial setting of the first cabinet management apparatus 1 is completed by the manual operation, the setting contents are downloaded in a batch into the monitoring apparatus 2, and the initial setting data is stored in the setting data storage unit 24. Specifically, according to a predetermined operation of the monitoring apparatus 2, a Web page for copying the setting data is opened from the enclosure management apparatus 1 which has performed the initial setting, and a click operation is performed on a copy button (not shown) displayed. By this operation, the set data is downloaded in a batch, and is stored in the set data storage unit 24 under the control of the monitoring apparatus CPU 21. At this time, the file is saved in, for example, a CSV format.
The file thus downloaded and stored in the setting data storage unit 24 is uploaded to the cabinet management apparatus 1, whereby the second station is initially set. First, the second equipment management device 1 initially set is connected to the communication network N, and the monitoring device 2 accesses and obtains a predetermined Web page for uploading setting data, and displays the Web page on the display 22 of the monitoring device 2.
By performing an operation based on the obtained instruction of the Web page, the file stored in the monitoring apparatus 2 is uploaded, and the initial setting of the second station is performed in batch.
Further, in the second and subsequent cabinet management apparatuses 1, some of the settings are performed by manual operations, for example, IP addresses and device names are input, and are rewritten with data set in a batch.
In this way, the initial setting of the third and subsequent stages is performed in the same manner as the second stage, and the enclosure management apparatus 1 displays a Web page screen for uploading its own setting items on the monitoring apparatus 2 and uploads the initial setting file stored in the monitoring apparatus 2, thereby performing the initial setting.
In this way, even when there are a plurality of cabinet management apparatuses 1 to be monitored by the monitoring apparatus 2, if only one cabinet management apparatus 1 is initially set, the other cabinet management apparatuses 1 can be initially set by the duplication operation, and the plurality of cabinet management apparatuses 1 can be initially set by a simple operation.
In addition, at this time, the header area of the Web page displayed or the Web page of the monitoring screen monitoring the state of the rack can be set by user as follows. FIG. 2 shows a Web page before customization and FIG. 3 shows a Web page after customization. The description will be made with reference to this figure.
In fig. 2, E1 is a title area, which is composed of a title portion (1) displaying a device name and a title portion (2) displaying a logo, and both of them can be set by definition. The modification operation of the title area is performed by accessing the enclosure management apparatus 1 from the monitoring apparatus 2 and opening the Web screen of the modification object as shown in fig. 2, and information necessary for display modification is read from a file stored in the storage section 13 of the enclosure management apparatus 1. When both the device name and the logo mark are modified, the files of the device name setting file and the title setting file are read in.
Selecting the device name and title according with the user's preference from the read-in file, and modifying the logo mark and the device name.
In addition, the case where the logo mark has been modified into a title is shown in fig. 3, and thus it is also possible to easily modify the logo mark into other sentences. Further, the device name can be freely set, and the created device name is stored in the device name setting file of the equipment management device 1 by the operation of the operation unit 23 of the monitoring device 2, so that options can be added.
In addition, although both the device name and the logo mark displayed in the title area E1 can be modified, only either one can be modified.
In this way, since the display of the title area E1 of the Web page can be modified by a simple operation of the selection operation from the monitoring apparatus 2 side, the display of the title area E1 can be easily modified.
Next, a Web screen for inputting a chinese language will be explained.
Fig. 4 and 5 show Web screens displayed on the display 22 of the monitoring apparatus 2, that is, a state in which Web pages stored in the storage unit 13 of the cabinet management apparatus 1 are displayed, fig. 4 shows a chinese input screen, and fig. 5 shows a japanese input screen corresponding to fig. 4. The cabinet management apparatus 1 is accessed by a prescribed operation, and Web page data in japanese or chinese stored in the storage section 13 is read and displayed on the display 22 of the monitoring apparatus 2 as such.
Here, a state is shown in which a setting screen for the automatic locking time and the alarm notification time, which are times until the cabinet door is locked, is displayed, E4 is a name input unit as a character input area, and E5 and E6 are number input areas. In the case of japanese, the name input unit E4 can input 12 full-size characters here.
As shown in fig. 4 and 5, a name input section E4 of "3 nd 2 ルーム 1-1" is input to the japanese Web screen, and in the case of chinese, the name is input as "3F 2 chamber 1 column-1". Upon receiving this input, the management apparatus CPU21 counts 10 characters because half angles are not determined in japanese, but counts 5 characters because half angles are counted in 2 bytes and all full angles are counted in 4 bytes in the case of chinese input. Specifically, "3F 21-1" is 6 half-corner characters (3 characters as full corners), "cell columns" are counted as 2 full-corner characters, and discrimination of 2 bytes and 4 bytes is not performed for the full-corner characters.
In addition, in contrast to the maximum 24 bytes required for processing an input item of 12 characters in japanese, in the case of processing an input item of 12 characters in chinese, 48 bytes, which is 2 times the number of bytes, are required, and although the number of bytes becomes insufficient under the japanese input specification, there is a limit of 6 characters at maximum (12 characters in the case of a half-corner) in the case of chinese input, and if 7 or more full-corner characters are input, the management apparatus CPU21 rejects the input and notifies that the number of characters exceeds the number of characters by an error message or an error sound.
In this way, for the chinese input, since all the character code sizes of the full-size characters are determined to be 4 bytes and processed, it is not necessary to greatly modify the firmware relating to reading/writing of the setting data from the japanese standard, and it is possible to simply modify the setting. In addition, since the number of characters that can be input at this time is one-half of the number of characters input in japanese and the data size itself does not change, no error occurs even if the character code size is 2 times as large as 2 bytes in japanese.
Further, although the Web screen for chinese input has been described with respect to the setting screen for controlling the opening and closing of the cabinet door, the setting screen for managing the temperature, the power supply current, and the like in the cabinet can be set to the same character code setting, and the setting can be modified simply.
