Abstract
The circuit has a number of conducting brushes (42) which are positioned on individual carriers (47) on one or more carrier rods (48) regularly around the central axis (XX) of the rotor. Triggers (51) set the brushes angularly between making contact with a rotor ring (30) and being spaced from it. Each trigger is operated by a control finger comprising a rod (52) parallel to the carrier rods. Each rod is on an arm (54) which stands radially proud from a rotating disc (53) which is supported by a brush carrier rod. The fixed electromagnets are supplied by a control circuit simultaneously and their cores are connected to the fingers by a hinge (57).
