Abstract

In order to crush fruit, in particular grapes, the fruit (14) is squeezed in such a way that the peel or skin (15) is made to just burst. The apparatus has two driven squeezing parts (1,2) between which the fruit is directed. One squeezing part (1,2) for the fruit (14) to be squeezed exhibits gripping sections (8,9) for the fruit peel or skin (15) and receptacles (5) for the fruit content (16) squeezed out of the fruit peel or skin (15). The fruit (14) is made to just burst by squeezing, but is not reduced to a great many particles. Thus a high yield can be achieved from the fruit (14) without impairing the end product. <IMAGE>
