Abstract

The extraction process, particularly for carboxylic acids with a carbon chain of 1 - 7 C atoms, benzoic acid, maleic acid, phthalic acid and furfural, makes use of a liquid extractant which is immiscible with water, where appropriate together with a solvent which is insoluble in water, and entails using s-butyl-di-n-octylphosphine oxide as extractant.
