Abstract

DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUS BURNING OF PARTICLES AND COMBUSTION OF INCOMPLETE COMBUSTION PRODUCTS IN SUS EXHAUST GASES, which is mounted on the place of the first exhaust pot in the vehicle exhaust system or immediately at the exit of combustion products from industrial furnaces. This device performs continuous combustion of incomplete combustion products and particles in the exhaust gases of the engine sus or in some other gases where there are combustible products and particles with the help of heat released by the constant combustion of other fuels. Tangential flow of exhaust gases into the device and flow through the spiral channel excites the vortex flow in the expansion chamber (A). On its further journey, the exhaust gases meet the semi-rotating bottom (6), whereby the current bends towards the inside of the cylinder (4), obstructing the centrally placed burner (9). By passing through the flame, particles and products of incomplete combustion are heated in the exhaust gas stream above the auto-ignition temperature, as a result of which they burn out. The particles are glued to the red-hot mesh insert (11) which, with its high temperature, helps their combustion. The oxidation medium in the combustion zone is provided by the oxidation flame of the burner (9) and, if necessary, by the introduction of secondary air through the connection (2). The automatic operation of the device is provided by an electronic control unit.
