Description

光ノード装置、トランシーバ及び接続方法
 本発明は、光ノード装置、トランシーバ及び接続方法に関する。
 従来の光通信システムでは、通信装置は、通信を行うために通信相手となる通信装置と接続するための光パスを開通する必要がある。図5及び図6は、従来の光通信システムSにおける光パスの開通方法を説明するための図である。図5に示すように、従来の光通信システムSは、複数の通信装置200-1~200-3と、複数の通信装置300-1~300-3と、複数の制御部400-1~400-2と、複数の光ノード装置500-1~500-2とを備える。
 なお、通信装置200-1は、光ノード装置500-1に接続されておらず、通信装置200-2~200-3は、光伝送路を介して光ノード装置500-1に接続され、通信装置300-1~300-3は、光伝送路を介して光ノード装置500-2に接続されているものとする。光ノード装置500-1と光ノード装置500-2は、光伝送路で構成される光通信NW600を介して接続される。制御部400-1は、通信装置200の管理を行うとともに、光ノード装置500-1の動作を制御する。制御部400-2は、通信装置300の管理を行うとともに、光ノード装置500-2の動作を制御する。
 光ノード装置500-1~500-2は、複数の光伝送路と接続され、各々のポートから入力される光信号を、当該ポートに対する接続ポートとして接続関係が設定されているポートに出力する。ポート間の接続関係は任意に変更又は設定することができる。光ノード装置500-1~500-2は、複数の通信装置200,300からそれぞれ異なるポートへ入力される光信号を多重して、多重信号光を別のポートから光伝送路に出力することもできる。
 ユーザが、通信装置200-1を光ノード装置500-1に新たに接続した場合、新たに接続された通信装置(以下「新規接続装置」という。)の初期接続時に、新規接続装置と制御部400との間で新規接続装置の登録及び認証に必要な情報のやりとりを行ったり、加入者装置管理制御部420から新規接続装置に対して、送受信に用いる発光波長を指示することができる。制御部400と通信装置200,300は、制御信号を、主信号光と同じ光伝送路を用いてやりとりしてもよい。例えば、主信号光と異なる波長を用いて制御信号光を送受信する構成や、AMCC(Auxiliary Management and Control Channel)と呼ばれる低速の制御信号を重畳する構成を用いることができる。AMCC信号には、例えば、通信装置が備える光送受信器の送受信波長、送信光強度、温度などを示す状態情報が含まれる。
 新規接続装置の登録及び認証や波長設定等が完了すると、光ノード制御部410は、図6に示すように、新規接続装置である通信装置200-1から送信される光信号が通信相手となる通信装置300(例えば、通信装置300-1)へ転送されるように、光ノード装置500-1のポート間接続の設定を変更する。同様に、制御部400-2は、通信装置200-1から送信される光信号が通信相手となる通信装置300(例えば、通信装置300-1)へ転送されるように、光ノード装置500-2のポート間接続の設定を変更する。これにより、図6に示すように通信装置200-1と通信装置300-1とを接続する光パスを開通することができる。

 従来、通信装置200,300が制御部400との間で制御信号をやり取りする構成として、図7に示す構成が提案されている(例えば、非特許文献1参照)。図7では、一例として通信装置200と制御部400との間で制御信号をやり取りする構成を示している。図7に示す構成では、通信装置200と制御部400との間で主信号光と異なる波長を用いて制御信号光を送受信し、制御信号光は通信装置200と光ノード装置との間の区間で主信号光と波長多重されて同じ光伝送路を伝送される。
 通信装置用の光トランシーバとしてコヒーレントトランシーバを用いる場合、一般的に、通信装置200と光ノード装置500との間を2本の光伝送路で接続し、上り信号光と下り信号光をそれぞれ異なる光伝送路で伝送する2芯伝送のネットワーク構成をとる必要がある。この場合、図7に示すように通信装置200が備える送信ポートと光ノード装置が備えるポートとを1本の光伝送路で接続し、通信装置200が備える受信ポートと光ノード装置が備えるポートとを1本の光伝送路で接続することになる。
 コヒーレントトランシーバは、光強度が強い局発光を、入力される光信号と干渉させてビート成分を信号成分として取り出すことにより高い受信感度を得る。送出する光信号用の光源からの出力光の一部を局発光として用いることにより専用の局発光源が不要となり光トランシーバの経済化を図れるため、このような光トランシーバ構成がとられている。上述したコヒーレントトランシーバを用いて1芯双方向伝送をした場合、光伝送路中の反射などにより光トランシーバに戻ってくる上り信号光と局発光とのビート成分が大きな雑音成分となり下り信号の受信特性が大幅に劣化する。そのため、コヒーレントトランシーバを用いる場合には、2芯伝送のネットワーク構成が広く用いられる。
 図7では、2芯伝送を行う通信装置200-1は、送信ポート側において、波長λの上り制御信号光と波長λの主信号光を不図示の波長合分波部により波長多重して送出する。また、通信装置200-1は、受信ポート側において、波長λの下り制御信号光と波長λの主信号光を不図示の波長合分波部により分離してそれぞれ受信する。光ノード装置500は、各通信装置200が接続するアクセスポート側に、主信号光と制御信号光を合分波する波長合分波部530を備える。
 2芯伝送を行う通信装置200-1の送信ポートから出力された波長多重信号(上り制御信号光と主信号光)は、波長合分波部530により分離される。そして、分離された上り制御信号光は、制御用トランシーバ520の受信器で受信される。また、上り制御信号光を受信する制御用トランシーバ520と同一の制御用トランシーバ520の送信器から出力される波長λの下り制御信号光は、波長合分波部530により波長λの主信号光と波長多重されて通信装置200-1に向けて送出される。
 一方、通信装置用の光トランシーバの種別として、互いに波長が異なる上り信号光と下り信号光を1本の異なる光伝送路で伝送する1芯双方向伝送用の光トランシーバがある。この種類の光トランシーバを備えた1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置200-2,200-3を光ノード装置500に接続した場合、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置200又は光ノード装置500のいずれかにおいて制御信号光を受信できなくなる。
 例えば、図7において、通信装置200-2は、光ノード装置500が備える制御用トランシーバ520の送信器が接続される波長合分波部530と光伝送路を介して接続されている。この場合、通信装置200-2は、光ノード装置500から送信された下り制御信号光を受信できる。一方で、光ノード装置500は、通信装置200-2から送信された上り制御信号光を受信できない。
 また、例えば、図7において、通信装置200-3は、光ノード装置500が備える制御用トランシーバ520の受信器が接続される波長合分波部530と光伝送路を介して接続されている。この場合、光ノード装置500は、通信装置200-3から送信された上り制御信号光を受信できる。一方で、通信装置200-3は、光ノード装置500から送信された下り制御信号光を受信できない。すなわち、図7に示す従来の制御信号光の送受信構成では、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置200が制御部400との間で制御信号をやりとりすることができないという問題があった。

 上記事情に鑑み、本発明は、通信装置の伝送方法の種別によらずに、制御部との間で信号のやり取りを行うことができる技術の提供を目的としている。
 本発明の一態様は、1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送を行う1台以上の通信装置と、前記1台以上の通信装置を制御する制御装置との間に備えられる光ノード装置であって、前記1台以上の通信装置が接続する複数のポートと、入力された光信号を合波又は分波する少なくとも1台の第1波長合分波部を介して少なくとも1つのポートに接続され、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号光の送受信を行う1台以上のトランシーバと、を備え、前記1台以上のトランシーバは、前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する1台以上のタイミング制御部と、前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上のタイミング制御部により調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出する1台以上の送信器と、前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、接続された少なくとも1台の前記第1波長合分波部に出力する1台以上の第2波長合分波と、を備える光ノード装置である。
 本発明の一態様は、接続された1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する1台以上のタイミング制御部と、前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上のタイミング制御部により調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出する1台以上の送信器と、前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、前記1台以上の通信装置が接続された第1波長合分波部に出力する1台以上の第2波長合分波と、を備えるトランシーバである。
 本発明の一態様は、1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送を行う1台以上の通信装置と、前記1台以上の通信装置を制御する制御装置との間に備えられる光ノード装置が行う接続方法であって、前記1台以上の通信装置が接続する複数のポートのうち、入力された光信号を合波又は分波する少なくとも1台の第1波長合分波部を介して少なくとも1つのポートに接続され、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号光の送受信を行う1台以上のトランシーバが、前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整し、前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出し、前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、接続された少なくとも1台の前記第1波長合分波部に出力する、接続方法である。
 本発明により、通信装置の伝送方法の種別によらずに、制御部との間で信号のやり取りを行うことが可能となる。

(第1の実施形態)
 図1は、第1の実施形態における光通信システム100の構成例を示す図である。光通信システム100は、光ノード装置10と、制御部20を備える。光ノード装置10には、光伝送路Lを介して1台以上の通信装置30,40が接続される。光伝送路Lは、例えば光ファイバである。図1に示す例では、光ノード装置10には、光伝送路Lを介して3台の通信装置30,40が接続されているが、通信装置30,40は1台以上であればよい。
 光通信システム100において、通信装置30は2芯伝送を行う装置であり、通信装置40-1,40-2は1芯双方向伝送を行う装置である。2芯伝送を行う通信装置30は、送信用と受信用とで異なる光伝送路L(2本の光伝送路L)を介して光ノード装置10に接続される。1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1,40-2は、送受信用で同一の光伝送路L(1本の光伝送路L)を介して光ノード装置10に接続される。
 なお、図1では、説明の簡単化のため記載を省略しているが、光通信システム100は、図5に示すように複数の光ノード装置と、複数の制御部を備えてもよい。光通信システム100は、光ノード装置毎に制御部を備えてもよいし、複数の光ノード装置に対して1台の制御部を備えてもよい。光ノード装置10は、1台の通信装置30,40が接続されるポートとは異なるポートにおいて、光伝送路Lを介して他の光ノード装置又は通信装置が接続される。以下の実施形態においても同様である。
 以下の説明では、通信装置30,40から制御部20に向かう方向を上り方向とし、制御部20から通信装置30,40に向かう方向を下り方向とする。光ノード装置10の台数は、特に限定されない。
[光ノード装置10の構成]
 光ノード装置10は、波長ネットワークを構成するノード装置であり、1台以上の通信装置30,40を収容する。光ノード装置10は、複数のポート11と、複数の波長合分波部12と、複数の制御用トランシーバ13を備える。なお、図1では、説明の簡単化のため、光ノード装置10が、制御部20と各通信装置30,40との間で制御信号光の送受信を行うための構成のみを示している。しかし、光ノード装置10は、光信号を他の光ノード装置又は通信装置に転送するための転送機能も備える。
 複数のポート11には、光伝送路Lを介して1台以上の通信装置30,40が接続される。通信装置30は2芯伝送を行う装置であるため、2本の光伝送路Lを介して2つのポート11に接続される。図1に示す例では、通信装置30は、2本の光伝送路Lを介してポート11-1とポート11-2に接続されている。
 通信装置40-1,40-2は1芯双方向伝送を行う装置であるため、1本の光伝送路Lを介して1つのポート11に接続される。図1に示す例では、通信装置40-1は、1本の光伝送路Lを介してポート11-4に接続されている。通信装置40-2は、1本の光伝送路Lを介してポート11-5に接続されている。なお、各通信装置30,40は、光ノード装置10が備えるいずれかのポート11であれば、どのポート11に接続されてもよい。
 波長合分波部12は、ポート11毎に設置され、異なる制御用トランシーバ13に接続される。波長合分波部12-m(mは1以上の整数)は、第1ポートと、第2ポートと、第3ポートを有する。波長合分波部12-m(mは1以上の整数)が有する第1ポートは、光配線を介してポート11-m(mは1以上の整数)に接続される。波長合分波部12-m(mは1以上の整数)が有する第2ポートは、光配線を介して制御用トランシーバ13-m(mは1以上の整数)に接続される。波長合分波部12-m(mは1以上の整数)が有する第3ポートは、光配線を介して転送機能に接続される。
 波長合分波部12-mは、ポート11-mから入力された多重信号光(例えば、上り制御信号光と主信号光の多重信号光)を分離する。波長合分波部12-mは、分離した上り制御信号光を制御用トランシーバ13-mに向けて出力する。波長合分波部12-mは、分離した主信号光を後段の転送機能に出力する。このように、波長合分波部12-mは、第1ポートから入力した多重信号光を分離して第2ポート及び第3ポートから出力する機能を持つ。
 また、波長合分波部12-mは、制御用トランシーバ13-mから出力される下り制御信号光を、転送機能から出力される主信号光と波長多重してポート11-mを介して通信装置30,40に向けて出力する。このように、波長合分波部12-mは、第2ポートから入力した光信号(下り制御信号光)と、第3ポートから入力した光信号(主信号光)とを波長多重して第1ポートから出力する機能を持つ。
 波長合分波部12-mは、ポート11-mと光配線を介して接続されている。そのため、上り制御信号光と主信号光の分離、及び、下り制御信号光と主信号光の波長多重は、光信号の送出元又は宛先である通信装置30,40の伝送方法の種別(2芯伝送、又は、1芯双方向伝送)によらずに行われる。
 波長合分波部12-mとして、例えば、下り制御信号光の波長及び上り制御信号光の波長を反射し、通信装置30,40が送出しうる主信号光の波長帯域を透過する波長特性を有する波長フィルタを用いることができる。波長フィルタの波長特性は、下り制御信号光の波長及び上り制御信号光の波長を透過し、通信装置30,40が送出しうる主信号光の波長帯域を反射する特性であってもよい。
 制御用トランシーバ13は、1芯双方向伝送タイプのトランシーバである。1芯双方向伝送タイプのトランシーバとは、1本の光伝送路Lを介して光信号の送受信を行うことができるトランシーバである。制御用トランシーバ13は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30との間では連続光により通信を行う。すなわち、制御用トランシーバ13は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30に対して、下り制御信号光を連続光で送信する。
 制御用トランシーバ13は、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40との間では時分割多重により通信を行う。すなわち、制御用トランシーバ13は、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置30に対して、下り制御信号光をバースト光で送信する。このように、すなわち、制御用トランシーバ13は、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40との間において、通信装置40が制御信号を送信するタイミングと、制御用トランシーバ13が制御信号を送信するタイミングとが重ならないように送信時間の調整を行って通信を行う。
 制御用トランシーバ13-mは、波長合分波部131と、受信器132と、送信器133と、タイミング制御部134を備える。
 波長合分波部131は、送信器133から送出される下り制御信号光の波長を反射、上り制御信号光の波長を透過する波長特性を有する。波長合分波部131は、第1ポートと、第2ポートと、第3ポートを有する。波長合分波部131が有する第1ポートは、送信器133に接続される。波長合分波部131が有する第2ポートは、光配線を介して波長合分波部12に接続される。波長合分波部131が有する第3ポートは、受信器132に接続される。
 波長合分波部131は、第1のポートに入力される下り制御信号光を第2のポートから波長合分波部12に向けて出力し、第2のポートに入力される上り制御信号光を第3のポートから受信器132に向けて出力する。波長合分波部131の波長特性は、下り制御信号光の波長を透過し、上り制御信号光の波長を反射する特性であってもよい。
 受信器132は、上り制御信号光を受信する。例えば、受信器132は、波長合分波部131の第3のポートから出力される上り制御信号光を受信する。受信器132は、受信した上り制御信号光を制御部20に出力する。
 送信器133は、下り制御信号光を所定の波長で送出する。送信器133は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30と、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40それぞれに対して下り制御信号光を送信する。送信器133が2芯伝送を行う通信装置30に対して下り制御信号光を送信する場合、下り制御信号光は通信装置30が送信する上り制御信号光とは異なる経路で伝送される。そのため、送信器133は、制御部20から制御信号が得られたタイミングで下り制御信号光は通信装置30に送信すればよい。
 しかし、送信器133が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40に対して下り制御信号光を送信する場合、下り制御信号光は通信装置40が送信する上り制御信号光とは同じ経路で伝送される。そのため、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40と接続している制御用トランシーバ13は通信装置40との間で事前に制御信号を送信するタイミングを決定する。例えば、制御用トランシーバ13は、通信装置40が上り制御信号光を送信するタイミングと衝突しないタイミング(通信装置40が上り制御信号光を送信するタイミングとは異なるタイミング)を決定する。
 送信器133は、タイミング制御部134による送信タイミングで、所定の波長の下り制御信号光を波長合分波部131の第1のポートに送出する。これにより、送信器133が送信する下り制御信号光と、通信装置40が送信する上り制御信号光とが異なるタイミングで送信されることになる。光ノード装置10と通信装置40とは、時分割多重により通信を行うため、制御信号用送信器41は光ノード装置10が制御信号を送信しないタイミングで、上り制御信号光を所定の波長で送出する。
 タイミング制御部134は、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40が光ノード装置10に接続された場合、通信装置40との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する。例えば、タイミング制御部134は、制御用トランシーバ13が下り制御信号光を送信する時間帯と、通信装置40が上り制御信号光を送信する時間帯とが重複しないように、互いの制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する。タイミング制御部134は、調整した送信タイミングで、送信器133から下り制御信号光を送出させる。例えば、タイミング制御部134は、光ノード装置10が制御信号を送信可能な時間帯において、送信器133から下り制御信号光を送出させる。
 なお、光ノード装置10に接続された通信装置が、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であるか2芯伝送を行う通信装置であるかは、光ノード装置10に接続した通信装置からの申告により特定することができる。
 図1に示すように、各制御用トランシーバ13は、異なる波長合分波部12に接続される。例えば、制御用トランシーバ13-mは、波長合分波部12-mに接続される。制御信号光は、制御用トランシーバ13と通信装置30との間において1芯双方向で伝送される。そのため、制御用トランシーバ13が通信装置30宛に向けて出力する下り制御信号光の波長と、通信装置30が制御用トランシーバ13に向けて出力する上り制御信号光の波長は、互いに異なる波長とすることが望ましい。
 また、各制御用トランシーバ13が、異なる波長合分波部12を介してポート11に接続されているため、各ポート11と各制御用トランシーバ13は1対1で対応付けることができる。すなわち、ポート11-mには制御用トランシーバ13-mが接続されていると対応付けることができる。
 なお、制御用トランシーバ13に向けて出力する上り制御信号光の波長は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30と1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1,40-2とで共通であってもよい。なお、第1の実施形態では、通信装置30,40の伝送方法の種別によらず、制御用トランシーバ13が送信する下り制御信号光の波長をλとし、通信装置30が送信する上り制御信号光の波長をλとしている。
[制御部20の構成]
 制御部20は、光ノード装置10の制御と、通信装置30,40の制御とを行う。ここで、光ノード装置10の制御とは、例えば制御用トランシーバ13による下り制御信号光の送信制御や、転送機能におけるポート間の接続設定(例えば、転送経路の設定)等である。通信装置30,40の制御とは、例えば新規接続装置との間での認証及び登録等の処理、通信装置30,40に対する発光波長の割り当て、光停止指示及び波長変更の指示等である。
 制御部20は、光ノード装置10に接続される通信装置30,40(例えば、既に光ノード装置10に接続されている通信装置30,40や、新規接続装置を含む)に対する上述した制御を行う。さらに制御部20は、通信装置30,40が、通信相手となる加入者装置との間で通信を行えるように、光ノード装置10における経路制御等を行う。さらに制御部20は、各制御用トランシーバ13と接続しており、各制御用トランシーバ13から下り制御信号光を送信させる。
 さらに、制御部20は、制御用トランシーバ13で受信された上り制御信号光に基づいて、新規接続装置が接続されたポートを特定する。上述したように、各ポート11と各制御用トランシーバ13は1対1で対応付けられる。そのため、制御部20は、上り制御信号光が受信された制御用トランシーバ13に対応付けられるポート11に新規接続装置が接続していると認識することができる。
 また、制御部20は、各通信装置30,40が光伝送路Lを介して接続する光ノード装置10のポートに関するポート管理情報を保持する。例えば、ポート管理情報には、光ノード装置10が備える複数のポート11のうち、ペアとなるポートを示す情報が登録されている。したがって、制御部20は、新規接続装置と接続しているポート11を特定した場合、特定したポート11とペアになっている他のポート11を特定することができる。以下、ペアとなっている2つのポート11を1対のポート11と記載する場合もある。
[2芯伝送を行う通信装置30の構成]
 通信装置30は、2芯伝送を行う。通信装置30は、制御信号用送信器31と、制御信号用受信器32と、主信号用送信器33と、主信号用受信器34と、波長合分波部35と、波長合分波部36を備える。
 制御信号用送信器31は、制御信号の送信に用いられる送信器である。制御信号用送信器31は、上り制御信号光を所定の波長で送出する。制御信号用受信器32は、制御信号の受信に用いられる受信器である。制御信号用受信器32は、光ノード装置10から送信された下り制御信号光を受信する。制御信号用受信器32は、光信号を検波及び復調する機能を持つ。
 主信号用送信器33は、主信号の送信に用いられる送信器である。主信号用送信器33は、通信相手の通信装置に向けて主信号光を送出する。通信装置30が備える主信号用送信器33が送出する主信号光の波長は、制御部20が通信装置30に対して割り当てて、制御部20から通知されてもよい。波長の通知は、下り制御信号として通知することが可能である。主信号用受信器34は、主信号の受信に用いられる受信器である。主信号用受信器34は、通信相手の通信装置から送出された主信号光を受信する。
 なお、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30が、光信号用の光源からの出力光の一部を局発光として用いる構成である場合、送信波長と受信波長は同じ波長が割り当てられる。一例として、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30には、送信波長と受信波長として波長λが割り当てられているものとして説明する。
 波長合分波部35は、通信装置30の送信ポートに接続される。送信ポートは、光信号の送信に利用されるポートである。波長合分波部35は、制御信号用送信器31から送出される上り制御信号光と、主信号用送信器33から送出される主信号光を波長多重し、多重信号光を送信ポートから光ノード装置10に向けて出力する。
 波長合分波部36は、通信装置30の受信ポートに接続される。受信ポートは、光信号の受信に利用されるポートである。波長合分波部36は、光ノード装置10側から入力される多重信号光(例えば、下り制御信号光と主信号光の多重信号光)を分離する。波長合分波部36は、分離した下り制御信号光を制御信号用受信器32に出力し、分離した主信号光を主信号用受信器34に出力する。
 ROADM(Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer)等の伝送装置で構成される2芯伝送に基づく現行の伝送ネットワークでは2本の光伝送路を同じ波長の監視制御信号を用いて監視する構成が多く用いられるが、図1の構成で上り制御信号光の波長と下り制御信号光の波長が異なる場合、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30と光ノード装置10を接続する2本の光伝送路に互いに異なる波長の制御信号光が伝送される。
 2芯伝送を行う通信装置30を光ノード装置10に接続するためには、2本の光伝送路Lを引き込んで通信装置30の送信ポート及び受信ポートにそれぞれ接続することになる。この際、ユーザは、制御部20にペアとして登録されている未使用の1対の光伝送路Lを通信装置30の送信ポート及び受信ポートに接続する。この時、ユーザは、1対の光伝送路Lのうちいずれを通信装置30の送信ポートに接続してもよい。
[1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40の構成]
 通信装置40は、1芯双方向伝送を行う。1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40は、制御信号用送信器41と、制御信号用受信器42と、主信号用送信器43と、主信号用受信器44と、波長合分波部45と、タイミング制御部46を備える。
 制御信号用送信器41は、制御信号の送信に用いられる送信器である。制御信号用送信器41は、タイミング制御部46により指示された送信タイミングで、上り制御信号光を所定の波長で送出する。通信装置40と光ノード装置10とは、時分割多重により通信を行うため、制御信号用送信器41は光ノード装置10が制御信号を送信しないタイミングで、上り制御信号光を所定の波長で送出する。
 制御信号用受信器42は、制御信号の受信に用いられる受信器である。制御信号用受信器42は、光ノード装置10から送信された下り制御信号光を受信する。通信装置40と光ノード装置10とは、時分割多重により通信を行うため、制御信号用受信器42は、制御信号用送信器41が上り制御信号を送信しないタイミングで下り制御信号光を受信する。制御信号用受信器42は、光信号を検波及び復調する機能を持つ。
 ここで通信装置40-1,40-2には、制御信号の送信波長及び制御信号の受信波長として、波長λが割り当てられているものとする。1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40が備えるタイミング制御部46と、制御用トランシーバ13が備えるタイミング制御部134との間で上り制御信号と下り制御信号の送信時間の調整を行うことで時分割多重による制御信号の1芯双方向伝送を実現する。
 主信号用送信器43は、主信号の送信に用いられる送信器である。主信号用送信器33は、通信相手の通信装置に向けて主信号光を送出する。通信装置30が備える主信号用送信器33が送出する主信号光の波長は、制御部20が通信装置30に対して割り当てて、制御部20から通知されてもよい。波長の通知は、下り制御信号として通知することが可能である。主信号用受信器34は、主信号の受信に用いられる受信器である。主信号用受信器34は、通信相手の通信装置から送出された主信号光を受信する。
 通信装置40-1及び40-2が備える主信号用送信器43が送出する主信号光の波長は、制御部20が通信装置40に対して割り当てて、制御部20から通知されてもよい。波長の通知は、下り制御信号として通知することが可能である。
 なお、通信装置40-1及び40-2は、一般的に送信波長と受信波長を変えて波長多重するか、送信波長と受信波長を送信する時間が重ならないように時分割多重することが必要である。一例として、通信装置40-1には、主信号の送信波長としてλが割り当てられ、主信号の受信波長λ´が割り当てられているものとして説明する。また、一例として、通信装置40-2には、主信号の送信波長としてλが割り当てられ、主信号の受信波長λ´が割り当てられているものとして説明する。これにより、主信号は波長多重により1芯双方向伝送が実現される。
 波長合分波部45は、通信装置40の送受信ポートに接続される。送受信ポートは、光信号の送信及び受信の両方に利用されるポートである。波長合分波部45は、制御信号用送信器41から送出される上り制御信号光と、主信号用送信器43から送出される主信号光を波長多重し、多重信号光を送受信ポートから光ノード装置10に向けて出力する。波長合分波部45は、光ノード装置10側から入力される多重信号光(例えば、下り制御信号光と主信号光の多重信号光)を分離する。波長合分波部45は、分離した下り制御信号光を制御信号用受信器42に出力し、分離した主信号光を主信号用受信器44に出力する。
 タイミング制御部46は、光ノード装置10に接続された場合、光ノード装置10との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する。例えば、タイミング制御部46は、制御用トランシーバ13が下り制御信号光を送信する時間帯と、通信装置40が上り制御信号光を送信する時間帯とが重複しないように、互いの制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する。タイミング制御部46は、調整した送信タイミングで、制御信号用送信器41から上り制御信号光を送出させる。例えば、タイミング制御部46は、通信装置40が制御信号を送信可能な時間帯において、制御信号用送信器41から上り制御信号光を送出させる。
 1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40を光ノード装置10に接続する場合には、未使用の光伝送路Lの中から1本を引き込んで通信装置40の送受信ポートに接続することになる。
 光パス開通前の通信装置30,40は、光ノード装置10に新たに接続されると、制御部20との間で、登録及び認証や光パス開通に必要な情報のやりとりを行う。光パス開通に必要な情報とは、例えば送受信に利用する波長の情報や、通信対象となる通信装置を示す情報等である。通信装置30,40は、制御部20に対する上り制御信号光を、主信号光とは異なる波長の光信号として出力してもよい。通信装置30,40は、例えば加入者宅内に設置されるONU(Optical Network Unit)である。
 図1に示す構成では、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30は、1台の制御用トランシーバ13(例えば、制御用トランシーバ13-1)に向けて制御信号用送信器31から上り制御信号光を送出し、他の1台の制御用トランシーバ13(例えば、制御用トランシーバ13-2)が送出する下り制御信号光を制御信号用受信器32で受信することができる。すなわち、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30は、2台の制御用トランシーバ13を用いて制御部20との間で制御信号をやりとりすることができる。
 また、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1,40-2は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30との通信に用いられる制御用トランシーバ13と同様の機能を持つ1台の制御用トランシーバ13(例えば、制御用トランシーバ13-4,13-5)との間で、上り制御信号光と下り制御信号光を時分割多重で1芯双方向伝送することにより、制御部20との間で制御信号をやりとりすることができる。
(初期接続方法)
 次に図2を用いて、新たな通信装置30,40が光ノード装置10に接続された場合に、制御部20が新規接続装置に対して認証及び登録の処理を行うための初期接続方法について説明する。
(初期接続方法)
 第1の実施形態における初期接続方法は、新規接続装置が、認証及び登録のために制御信号を制御部20とやり取りする際に、伝送方法の種別(1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送)を申告することによって初期接続を行う方法である。図2は、第1の実施形態における光通信システム100が行う初期接続方法を説明するための図である。
 図2では、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30と、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1,40-2が、光ノード装置10に新たに接続された場合を示している。初期接続方法を説明するにあたり、一対のポート11は予めポート管理情報に登録されているものとする。例えば、一対のポート11として、ポート11-1とポート11-2のペア、ポート11-3とポート11-4のペア、ポート11-5とポート11-6のペアがポート管理情報に一対のポート11として登録されているとする。
 まず、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30が光ノード装置10に新たに接続されたとする。例えば、通信装置30が、光ノード装置10のポート11-1,11-2に光伝送路Lを介して接続されたとする。2芯伝送を行う通信装置30が光ノード装置10に接続された場合、通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31は、自装置の伝送方法の種別(2芯伝送)を示す種別情報を含む上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する。
 通信装置30から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10のポート11-1に入力される。ポート11-1と波長合分波部12-1を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-1は、通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31-1から送出される上り制御信号光を受信することができる。制御用トランシーバ13-1の受信器132は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調することによって得られた上り制御信号を制御部20に出力する。制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識できる。
 制御部20は、通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う通信装置である場合、ポート管理情報を参照し、上り制御信号光を受信した制御用トランシーバ13-1と波長合分波部12-1を介して接続するポート11-1とペアとして登録されているポート11を特定する。そして、制御部20は、特定したポート11-2と波長合分波部12-2を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-2から、通信装置30宛の下り制御信号を送出させる。これにより、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30は、2台の制御用トランシーバ13-1,13-2を用いて制御部20との間で制御信号のやりとりを開始することができる。その結果、制御部20は、通信装置30の認証及び登録の処理を進めることができる。
 なお、制御部20からの制御により、光ノード装置10は通信装置30の送信器が接続するポート11-1と波長合分波部12-1を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-1の送信器133の発光を停止してもよい。
 次に、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1が光ノード装置10に新たに接続されたとする。例えば、通信装置40-1が、光ノード装置10のポート11-4に光伝送路Lを介して接続されたとする。1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1が光ノード装置10に接続された場合、通信装置40-1の制御信号用送信器41-1は、自装置の伝送方法の種別(1芯双方向伝送)を示す種別情報を含む上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する。
 通信装置40-1から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10のポート11-4に入力される。光ノード装置10は、ポート11毎に、波長合分波部12を介して1芯双方向伝送用の制御用トランシーバ13を備えている。そのため、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1が接続された場合、通信装置40-1がいずれのポート11と接続するかに関わらず、光ノード装置10が備えるいずれかの制御用トランシーバ13は通信装置40-1が送出する上り制御信号光を受信することができる。制御用トランシーバ13-4の受信器132は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調することによって得られた上り制御信号を制御部20に出力する。制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識できる。
 制御部20は、通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合、通信装置40-1が接続されている制御用トランシーバ13-4に対して1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを通知する。その結果、制御用トランシーバ13-4は、接続されている通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを把握することができる。これにより、通信装置40-1のタイミング制御部46-1と、制御用トランシーバ13のタイミング制御部134との間で制御信号の送信タイミングの調整を行うことができる。したがって、時分割多重による制御信号の1心双方向通信が可能となる。
 これにより、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40-1は、1台の制御用トランシーバ13-4を用いて制御部20との間で制御信号のやりとりを開始することができる。制御用トランシーバ13-4は、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30との通信に用いられるものと同じ構成を備える制御用トランシーバ13である。その結果、制御部20は、通信装置30の認証及び登録の処理を進めることができる。
 なお、制御部20からの制御により、光ノード装置10は通信装置40-1の送信器が接続するポート11-4のペアとして登録されているポート11-3と波長合分波部12-3を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-3の送信器133の発光を停止してもよい。
 さらに、光ノード装置10は、通信装置40-1からの申告により通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを把握した場合、通信装置40-1が接続するポート11-4のペアとしてポート管理情報に登録されている登録されているポート11-3のペアリングを解消してもよい。この場合、ペアを解消したポート11-3は未使用状態のままであるため、制御部20はこの後に新たに接続する1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40を接続するポート11として用いてもよい。
 なお、図2では記載を省略しているが、上記の初期接続方法における手順の間、通信装置40内の主信号用送信器43は発光していてもよい。
 上述した初期接続方法では、新たな通信装置30が光ノード装置10に接続された場合、通信装置30の伝送方法の種別(2芯伝送又は1芯双方向伝送)によらずに上り制御信号光がいずれかの制御用トランシーバ13で受信され、制御部20は新たな通信装置30の種別を認識できる。その結果、制御部20は、新たな通信装置30が下り制御信号を受信できるよう、制御用トランシーバ13を制御することができる。そのため、初期接続手順を進めることができる。
 図3は、第1の実施形態における光通信システム100が行う初期接続方法の処理の流れを示すシーケンス図である。
 ユーザが、2本の光伝送路Lを通信装置30に接続することによって光ノード装置10に接続したとする(ステップS101)。その結果、図2に示すように、通信装置30の波長合分波部35が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10のポート11-1に接続され、通信装置30の波長合分波部36が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10のポート11-2に接続されたとする。
 しかし、制御部20においては、光ノード装置10の複数のポート11のうち、いずれのポート11に通信装置30が接続されているのかは把握できない。通信装置30は、光ノード装置10に接続した後、種別情報を含む上り制御信号を生成する。通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31-1は、生成した上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する(ステップS102)。
 通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31-1から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10のポート11-1に入力される。ポート11-1に入力された上り制御信号光は、波長合分波部12-1により制御用トランシーバ13-1に向けて出力される。制御用トランシーバ13-1の波長合分波部131は、波長合分波部12-1から出力された上り制御信号光を受信器132に出力する。受信器132は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調する。受信器132は、復調後の上り制御信号を不図示の制御線を介して制御部20に出力する(ステップS103)。
 制御部20は、上り制御信号の受信に応じて、新規接続装置が光ノード装置10に接続されたことを把握する。さらに、制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識する(ステップS104)。また、制御部20は、上り制御信号を出力した受信器132を備える制御用トランシーバ13-1に対応付けられているポート11-1に新規接続装置が接続されたと特定する。
 通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う場合には、送信用に利用する光伝送路Lと受信用に利用する光伝送路Lとが異なる。したがって、上り制御信号光が入力されたポート11-1には、通信装置30の送信ポートが接続されていることになる。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-1が新規接続装置の送信ポートと接続していると認識することができる。
 なお、ポート11に入力される光を検知する光検知部がポート11毎に備えられ、制御部20が光検知部の検知結果に基づいて新規接続装置が接続されたポート11を特定してもよい。この場合、光の入力を検知した光検知部は、光検知部を識別するための識別情報と、光の入力を検知したことを示す情報(例えば、光強度の値)を含むポート識別情報を制御部20に送信する。制御部20が、光検知部の識別情報と各ポート11とを対応付けた情報を保持することで、ポート識別情報に含まれる光検知部の識別情報に基づいて、光が入力されたポート11を特定することができる。なお、光検知部が、光入力を検知する対象は、上り制御信号光であってもよいし、主信号光であってもよい。
 その後、制御部20は、ポート管理情報を参照し、特定したポート11-1のペアとして登録されているポート11-2を特定する。通信装置30の送信ポートと受信ポートには、一対のポート11が光伝送路Lを介して接続されている。そのため、ポート11-1のペアとして登録されているポート11-2には、通信装置30の受信ポートが接続されていることになる。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-2と波長合分波部12-2を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-2から、下り制御信号を送信させる。これにより、制御部20は、通信装置30との間で認証及び登録や光パス開通に必要な情報を含む制御信号光のやり取りを行う(ステップS105)。
 次に、ユーザが、1本の光伝送路Lを通信装置40-1に接続することによって光ノード装置10に接続したとする(ステップS106)。その結果、図2に示すように、通信装置40-1の波長合分波部45-1が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10のポート11-4に接続されたとする。
 しかし、制御部20においては、光ノード装置10の複数のポート11のうち、いずれのポート11に通信装置40-1が接続されているのかは把握できない。通信装置40-1は、光ノード装置10に接続した後、種別情報を含む上り制御信号を生成する。通信装置40-1の制御信号用送信器41-1は、生成した上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する(ステップS107)。
 通信装置40-1の制御信号用送信器41-1から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10のポート11-4に入力される。ポート11-4に入力された上り制御信号光は、波長合分波部12-4により制御用トランシーバ13-4に向けて出力される。制御用トランシーバ13-4の波長合分波部131は、波長合分波部12-4から出力された上り制御信号光を受信器132に出力する。受信器132は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調する。受信器132は、復調後の上り制御信号を不図示の制御線を介して制御部20に出力する(ステップS108)。
 制御部20は、上り制御信号の受信に応じて、新規接続装置が光ノード装置10に接続されたことを把握する。さらに、制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識する(ステップS109)。また、制御部20は、上り制御信号を出力した受信器132を備える制御用トランシーバ13-4に対応付けられているポート11-4に新規接続装置が接続されたと特定する。
 なお、ポート11に入力される光を検知する光検知部がポート11毎に備えられ、制御部20が光検知部の検知結果に基づいて新規接続装置が接続されたポート11を特定してもよい。この場合、光の入力を検知した光検知部は、光検知部を識別するための識別情報と、光の入力を検知したことを示す情報(例えば、光強度の値)を含むポート識別情報を制御部20に送信する。制御部20が、光検知部の識別情報と各ポート11とを対応付けた情報を保持することで、ポート識別情報に含まれる光検知部の識別情報に基づいて、光が入力されたポート11を特定することができる。なお、光検知部が、光入力を検知する対象は、上り制御信号光であってもよいし、主信号光であってもよい。
 通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う場合には、送信用に利用する光伝送路Lと受信用に利用する光伝送路Lとは同一である。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-4と波長合分波部12-4を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13-4から、下り制御信号を送信させる。制御部20は、種別情報を含む下り制御信号を制御用トランシーバ13-4に出力する(ステップS110)。
 制御用トランシーバ13-4のタイミング制御部134は、制御部20から出力された下り制御信号に含まれる種別情報に基づいて、接続されている通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40であることを把握する。タイミング制御部134は、通信装置40-1との間で制御信号の送信時間(送信タイミング)を調整する(ステップS110)。タイミング制御部134は、調整により決定された送信時間帯において、制御部20から出力された下り制御信号を送信器133に送信させる。これにより、制御部20は、光ノード装置10を介して、通信装置40-1との間で認証及び登録や光パス開通に必要な情報を含む制御信号光のやり取りを時分割多重により行う(ステップS111)。なお、光ノード装置10と通信装置40-1との間では、時分割多重により光パス開通に必要な情報以外の制御信号のやり取りも行われる。
 以上のように構成された光通信システム100によれば、光ノード装置10が、複数のポート11と、少なくとも1台の波長合分波部12を介して少なくとも1つのポート11に接続され、1台以上の通信装置30,40との間で制御信号光の送受信を行う1台以上の制御用トランシーバ13を備える。各制御用トランシーバ13は、通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40である場合に、通信装置40との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整するタイミング制御部134と、通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40である場合に、タイミング制御部134により調整された送信タイミングで、通信装置40宛ての下り制御信号光を送出する送信器133と、送信器133から送出される下り制御信号光を、接続された波長合分波部12に出力する波長合分波部131と、を備える。
 上記構成のように、光ノード装置10は、各ポートに対応付けて1芯双方向伝送用の制御用トランシーバ13を備える。これにより、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30から送信された上り制御信号光であっても、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置30から送信された上り制御信号光であっても、制御部20に対して上り制御信号を転送することができる。また、光ノード装置10は、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40が接続された場合には、制御信号の送信タイミングを調整し、上り制御信号光と下り制御信号光とが同じタイミングで送信されないように制御する。これにより、光ノード装置10は、上りと下りの制御信号の衝突を回避することができる。そのため、接続される通信装置30,40の伝送方法の種別(1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送)によらずに、制御部20との間で制御信号のやり取りが可能になる。
 光ノード装置10は、ポート11を、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30との接続用のポートと、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置30との接続用のポートに分けて管理する必要がない。そのため、通信装置30の伝送方法の種別によらず、未使用のポートに新たな通信装置を接続することができる。
 光通信システム100では、制御部20が、1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置30が接続したポート11のペアとなっている他のポート11のペアリングを解消する。そして、未使用となる他のポート11を、別の新たな1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置と接続できるようにすることにより、2芯伝送を行う通信装置30との接続用のポートと1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置を混在収容する構成において、光ノード装置10のポートを無駄なく使用することができる。そのため、利便性を向上させることができる。
(第2の実施形態)
 第1の実施形態では、光ノード装置が、制御用トランシーバをポート毎に備える構成を示した。第2の実施形態では、一対のポートに対応する毎に制御用トランシーバを備える構成について説明する。
 図4は、第2の実施形態における光通信システム100aの構成例を示す図である。光通信システム100aは、光ノード装置10aと、制御部20を備える。光ノード装置10aには、光伝送路Lを介して1台以上の通信装置30,40が接続される。図4に示す例では、光ノード装置10aには、光伝送路Lを介して3台の通信装置30,40が接続されているが、通信装置30,40は1台以上であればよい。光通信システム100aにおいて、通信装置30は2芯伝送を行う装置であり、通信装置40-1,40-2は1芯双方向伝送を行う装置である。
 光ノード装置10aは、波長ネットワークを構成するノード装置であり、1台以上の通信装置30,40を収容する。光ノード装置10aは、複数のポート11と、複数の波長合分波部12と、複数の制御用トランシーバ13aを備える。なお、図4では、説明の簡単化のため、光ノード装置10aが制御部20と通信装置30,40との間で制御信号光の送受信を行うための構成のみを示している。しかし、光ノード装置10aは、光信号を他の光ノード装置又は通信装置に転送するための転送機能も備える。
 光ノード装置10aは、制御用トランシーバ13に代えて制御用トランシーバ13aを備える点で光ノード装置10と構成が異なる。光ノード装置10aのその他の構成は、光ノード装置10と同様である。以下、光ノード装置10aとの相違点を中心に説明する。
 波長合分波部12は、ポート11毎に設置され、一対のポート用の制御用トランシーバ13aに接続される。波長合分波部12は、一対のポート用の制御用トランシーバ13aに接続される点を除けば第1の実施形態と同様の処理を行う。
 一対のポート用の制御用トランシーバ13aとは、2つのポート11それぞれにおいて光信号の送受信を行うことが可能なトランシーバである。そのため、1台の制御用トランシーバ13aは、1対のポート11に接続する2台の波長合分波部12に接続される。例えば、1対のポート11が、ポート11-1とポート11-2である場合、制御用トランシーバ13a-1は、ポート11-1に接続する波長合分波部12-1と、ポート11-2に接続する波長合分波部12-2に接続される。
 また、制御用トランシーバ13aは、異なる波長合分波部12を介して1対のポート11に接続されているため、1対ポート11には制御用トランシーバ13aが接続されていると対応付けることができる。
 制御用トランシーバ13aは、波長合分波部131と、受信器132と、送信器133と、タイミング制御部134と、波長合分波部135と、受信器136と、送信器137と、タイミング制御部138を備える。波長合分波部131、受信器132、送信器133及びタイミング制御部134は、1つのポート11で光信号を送受信するために利用される。波長合分波部135、受信器136、送信器137及びタイミング制御部138は、ペアとなる他のポート11で光信号を送受信するために利用される。
 そのため、タイミング制御部134は、接続されている通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40である場合、送信器133における下り制御信号光の送信タイミングを制御する。タイミング制御部138は、接続されている通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40である場合、送信器137における下り制御信号光の送信タイミングを制御する。
 一例として、波長合分波部12-1,12-2に接続する制御用トランシーバ13aを例に説明すると、波長合分波部131、受信器132、送信器133及びタイミング制御部134は、ポート11-1で光信号を送受信するために利用される。また、波長合分波部135、受信器136、送信器137及びタイミング制御部138は、ポート11-2で光信号を送受信するために利用される。
 このように、制御用トランシーバ13aは、波長合分波部と送信器と受信器とタイミング制御部の組み合わせを2対備える。制御部20は、制御用トランシーバ13aが備える波長合分波部と送信器と受信器とタイミング制御部の組み合わせ毎に、いずれのポート11に対応するのかを示す情報を保持していてもよい。例えば、波長合分波部131、受信器132、送信器133及びタイミング制御部134の組み合わせはポート11-1に対応し、波長合分波部135、受信器136、送信器137及びタイミング制御部138の組み合わせはポート11-2に対応するといったような情報を保持していてもよい。
 また、上記の例は一例であり、1つの制御用トランシーバ13aが備える2対の波長合分波部、受信器、送信器及びタイミング制御部の組み合わせは別の組み合わせであってもよい。このような場合であっても、いずれの組み合わせがどのポート11に対応しているのかを示す情報を制御部20が保持しておけばよい。
 第2の実施形態における光通信システム100aにおける初期接続方法は、制御用トランシーバ13aの構成が異なる点以外は第1の実施形態と同様である。以下、一例を示す。
(第2の実施形態における初期接続方法)
 ユーザが、2本の光伝送路Lを通信装置30に接続することによって光ノード装置10aに接続したとする。その結果、図4に示すように、通信装置30の波長合分波部35が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10aのポート11-1に接続され、通信装置30の波長合分波部36が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10aのポート11-2に接続されたとする。
 しかし、制御部20においては、光ノード装置10aの複数のポート11のうち、いずれのポート11に通信装置30が接続されているのかは把握できない。通信装置30は、光ノード装置10aに接続した後、種別情報を含む上り制御信号を生成する。通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31は、生成した上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する。
 通信装置30の制御信号用送信器31から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10aのポート11-1に入力される。ポート11-1に入力された上り制御信号光は、波長合分波部12-1により制御用トランシーバ13a-1に向けて出力される。制御用トランシーバ13a-1の波長合分波部131は、波長合分波部12-1から出力された上り制御信号光を受信器132に出力する。受信器132は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調する。受信器132は、復調後の上り制御信号を不図示の制御線を介して制御部20に出力する。
 制御部20は、上り制御信号の受信に応じて、新規接続装置が光ノード装置10aに接続されたことを把握する。さらに、制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識する。また、制御部20は、上り制御信号を出力した受信器132を備える制御用トランシーバ13a-1に対応付けられているポート11-1に新規接続装置が接続されたと特定する。
 通信装置30が2芯伝送を行う場合には、送信用に利用する光伝送路Lと受信用に利用する光伝送路Lとが異なる。したがって、上り制御信号光が入力されたポート11-1には、通信装置30の送信ポートが接続されていることになる。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-1が新規接続装置の送信ポートと接続していると認識することができる。
 なお、ポート11に入力される光を検知する光検知部がポート11毎に備えられ、制御部20が光検知部の検知結果に基づいて新規接続装置が接続されたポート11を特定してもよい。この場合、光の入力を検知した光検知部は、光検知部を識別するための識別情報と、光の入力を検知したことを示す情報(例えば、光強度の値)を含むポート識別情報を制御部20に送信する。制御部20が、光検知部の識別情報と各ポート11とを対応付けた情報を保持することで、ポート識別情報に含まれる光検知部の識別情報に基づいて、光が入力されたポート11を特定することができる。なお、光検知部が、光入力を検知する対象は、上り制御信号光であってもよいし、主信号光であってもよい。
 その後、制御部20は、ポート管理情報を参照し、特定したポート11-1のペアとして登録されているポート11-2を特定する。通信装置30の送信ポートと受信ポートには、一対のポート11が光伝送路Lを介して接続されている。そのため、ポート11-1のペアとして登録されているポート11-2には、通信装置30の受信ポートが接続されていることになる。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-2に対応する制御用トランシーバ13a-1の送信器137から、下り制御信号光を送信させる。なお、いずれのポート11にいずれ制御用トランシーバ13aの送信器が対応するのかはあらかじめ情報として保持されていてもよい。これにより、制御部20は、通信装置30との間で認証及び登録や光パス開通に必要な情報を含む制御信号光のやり取りを行う。
 次に、ユーザが、1本の光伝送路Lを通信装置40-1に接続することによって光ノード装置10aに接続したとする。その結果、図4に示すように、通信装置40-1の波長合分波部45-1が、光伝送路Lを介して光ノード装置10aのポート11-4に接続されたとする。
 しかし、制御部20においては、光ノード装置10aの複数のポート11のうち、いずれのポート11に通信装置40-1が接続されているのかは把握できない。通信装置40-1は、光ノード装置10aに接続した後、種別情報を含む上り制御信号を生成する。通信装置40-1の制御信号用送信器41-1は、生成した上り制御信号を光信号に変換して上り制御信号光として送出する。
 通信装置40-1の制御信号用送信器41-1から送出された上り制御信号光は、光ノード装置10aのポート11-4に入力される。ポート11-4に入力された上り制御信号光は、波長合分波部12-4により制御用トランシーバ13a-2に向けて出力される。制御用トランシーバ13a-2の波長合分波部135は、波長合分波部12-4から出力された上り制御信号光を受信器136に出力する。受信器136は、上り制御信号光を検波及び復調する。受信器136は、復調後の上り制御信号を不図示の制御線を介して制御部20に出力する。
 制御部20は、上り制御信号の受信に応じて、新規接続装置が光ノード装置10aに接続されたことを把握する。さらに、制御部20は、上り制御信号に含まれる種別情報により、通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置であることを認識する。また、制御部20は、上り制御信号を出力した受信器136を備える制御用トランシーバ13a-2に対応付けられているポート11-4に新規接続装置が接続されたと特定する。
 なお、ポート11に入力される光を検知する光検知部がポート11毎に備えられ、制御部20が光検知部の検知結果に基づいて新規接続装置が接続されたポート11を特定してもよい。この場合、光の入力を検知した光検知部は、光検知部を識別するための識別情報と、光の入力を検知したことを示す情報(例えば、光強度の値)を含むポート識別情報を制御部20に送信する。制御部20が、光検知部の識別情報と各ポート11とを対応付けた情報を保持することで、ポート識別情報に含まれる光検知部の識別情報に基づいて、光が入力されたポート11を特定することができる。なお、光検知部が、光入力を検知する対象は、上り制御信号光であってもよいし、主信号光であってもよい。
 通信装置40-1が1芯双方向伝送を行う場合には、送信用に利用する光伝送路Lと受信用に利用する光伝送路Lとは同一である。そこで、制御部20は、特定したポート11-4と波長合分波部12-4を介して接続する制御用トランシーバ13a-2から、下り制御信号を送信させる。制御部20は、種別情報を含む下り制御信号を制御用トランシーバ13a-2に出力する。
 制御用トランシーバ13a-2のタイミング制御部138は、制御部20から出力された下り制御信号に含まれる種別情報に基づいて、接続されている通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置40であることを把握する。タイミング制御部138は、通信装置40-1との間で制御信号の送信時間(送信タイミング)を調整する。タイミング制御部138は、調整により決定された送信時間帯において、制御部20から出力された下り制御信号を送信器137に送信させる。これにより、制御部20は、光ノード装置10aを介して、通信装置40-1との間で認証及び登録や光パス開通に必要な情報を含む制御信号光のやり取りを時分割多重により行う。なお、光ノード装置10aと通信装置40-1との間では、時分割多重により光パス開通に必要な情報以外の制御信号のやり取りも行われる。
 以上のように構成された光通信システム100aによれば、第1の実施形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。
 さらに光通信システム100aでは、光ノード装置10aが、一対のポート11毎に、1芯双方向伝送が可能なトランシーバを2対備えている1台の制御用トランシーバ13aを備える。これにより、第1の実施形態のように、ポート11毎に個別の制御用トランシーバを備えなくてよい。
 上述した実施形態における制御部20の一部の機能部をコンピュータで実現するようにしてもよい。その場合、この機能を実現するためのプログラムをコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体に記録して、この記録媒体に記録されたプログラムをコンピュータシステムに読み込ませ、実行することによって実現してもよい。なお、ここでいう「コンピュータシステム」とは、OS(Operating System)や周辺機器等のハードウェアを含むものとする。
 また、「コンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体」とは、フレキシブルディスク、光磁気ディスク、ROM(Read Only Memory)、CD-ROM等の可搬媒体、コンピュータシステムに内蔵されるハードディスク等の記憶装置のことをいう。さらに「コンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体」とは、インターネット等のネットワークや電話回線等の通信回線を介してプログラムを送信する場合の通信線のように、短時間の間、動的にプログラムを保持するもの、その場合のサーバやクライアントとなるコンピュータシステム内部の揮発性メモリのように、一定時間プログラムを保持しているものも含んでもよい。また上記プログラムは、前述した機能の一部を実現するためのものであってもよく、さらに前述した機能をコンピュータシステムにすでに記録されているプログラムとの組み合わせで実現できるものであってもよく、FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)等のプログラマブルロジックデバイスを用いて実現されるものであってもよい。
 以上、この発明の実施形態について図面を参照して詳述してきたが、具体的な構成はこの実施形態に限られるものではなく、この発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲の設計等も含まれる。
 本発明は、光パスを開通するための技術に適用できる。

  1.  1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送を行う1台以上の通信装置と、前記1台以上の通信装置を制御する制御装置との間に備えられる光ノード装置であって、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が接続する複数のポートと、
     入力された光信号を合波又は分波する少なくとも1台の第1波長合分波部を介して少なくとも1つのポートに接続され、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号光の送受信を行う1台以上のトランシーバと、
     を備え、
     前記1台以上のトランシーバは、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する1台以上のタイミング制御部と、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上のタイミング制御部により調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出する1台以上の送信器と、
     前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、接続された少なくとも1台の前記第1波長合分波部に出力する1台以上の第2波長合分波と、
     を備える光ノード装置。

     新たに接続された前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合、新たに接続された前記1台以上の通信装置から送信された前記上り制御信号光が入力されたポートに対応する送信器から前記下り制御信号光を、新たに接続された前記1台以上の通信装置に向けて送出する、
     請求項1又は2に記載の光ノード装置。
  7.  接続された1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整する1台以上のタイミング制御部と、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上のタイミング制御部により調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出する1台以上の送信器と、
     前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、前記1台以上の通信装置が接続された第1波長合分波部に出力する1台以上の第2波長合分波と、
     を備えるトランシーバ。
  8.  1芯双方向伝送又は2芯伝送を行う1台以上の通信装置と、前記1台以上の通信装置を制御する制御装置との間に備えられる光ノード装置が行う接続方法であって、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が接続する複数のポートのうち、入力された光信号を合波又は分波する少なくとも1台の第1波長合分波部を介して少なくとも1つのポートに接続され、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号光の送受信を行う1台以上のトランシーバが、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、前記1台以上の通信装置との間で制御信号の送信タイミングを調整し、
     前記1台以上の通信装置が1芯双方向伝送を行う通信装置である場合に、調整された前記送信タイミングで、前記1台以上の通信装置宛ての下り制御信号光を送出し、
     前記1台以上の送信器から送出される前記下り制御信号光を、接続された少なくとも1台の前記第1波長合分波部に出力する、
     接続方法。
