Description

液体の脱気方法及び脱気モジュール
 本開示は、液体の脱気方法及び脱気モジュールに関する。
 特許文献1には、複数の中空糸膜を用いて脱気する脱気モジュールが記載されている。この脱気モジュールは、複数の中空糸膜が円筒状に束ねられた中空糸膜束が筒体に収容されて構成されている。また、この中空糸脱気モジュールは、中空糸膜束と出口ポートの流路との間にバッフル板を設けて構成されている。

 脱気モジュールに大流量で通液する場合、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板が設けられていると、流路が狭められるため、液体の圧力損失が増加する。また、液体に偏流が発生して、中空糸膜への液体の接触時間が短くなる。その結果、脱気効率が低下するという問題が発生する。そこで、脱気効率を向上させるために、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を外した脱気モジュールに大流量で通液したところ、中空糸膜が出口ポートに引き込まれるという問題が新たに発生した。
 そこで、本開示は、大流量化した際の中空糸膜の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる液体の脱気方法及び脱気モジュールを提供することを課題とする。
 本発明者らは、上記課題を解決するために、更に研究を進めたところ、液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランス、中空糸膜の膜面積、及び液体の流量が所定の関係となるようにすることで、大流量化しても中空糸膜の破断を抑制することができるとの知見を得た。本開示は、上記知見に基づきなされたものである。
[1] 本開示に係る液体の脱気方法は、複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、複数の開口を覆うように液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、液体流通パイプ及び複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第一延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第一延在方向側の端部と、筒部と、の間を封止する第一封止部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が延在方向における第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第二延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第二延在方向側の端部と、筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、筒部に設けられて液体流通パイプから出た液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、備える脱気モジュールを用いて液体を脱気する脱気方法であって、複数の中空糸膜の中空部を吸引し、液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスをCとし、複数の中空糸膜の膜面積をAとし、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに供給される液体の流量をQとした場合、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに液体を供給する。
 この液体の脱気方法では、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに液体を供給するため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/h又は100m/hのような大流量で液体を供給した場合に、中空糸膜が液体排出ポートに引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
[2] [1]に記載の液体の脱気方法において、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに、液体として水を供給してもよい。この液体の脱気方法では、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに水を供給するため、中空糸膜の破断を抑制しつつ、大流量で水を脱気することができる。
[3] 本開示に係る脱気モジュールは、複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、複数の開口を覆うように液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、液体流通パイプ及び複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第一延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第一延在方向側の端部と、筒部との間を封止する第一封止部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が延在方向における第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第二延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第二延在方向側の端部と、筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、筒部に設けられて液体流通パイプから出た液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、を備え、液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスをCとし、複数の中空糸膜の膜面積をAとし、液体供給ポートから液体流通パイプに供給される液体の流量をQとした場合、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランス及び膜面積が設定されている。
 この脱気モジュールでは、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されているため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/h又は100m/hのような大流量で液体を供給した場合に、中空糸膜が液体排出ポートに引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
[4] 本開示に係る脱気モジュールは、[1]又は[2]に記載の液体の脱気方法に用いる脱気モジュールであって、複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、複数の開口を覆うように液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、液体流通パイプ及び複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第一延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第一延在方向側の端部と、筒部との間を封止する第一封止部と、複数の中空糸膜の中空部が延在方向における第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、液体流通パイプの第二延在方向側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜の第二延在方向側の端部と、筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、筒部に設けられて液体流通パイプから出た液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、を備える。
 この脱気モジュールは、上記の[1]又は[2]に記載の脱気方法に用いる脱気モジュールである。このため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/h又は100m/hのような大流量で液体を供給した場合に、中空糸膜が液体排出ポートに引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
[5] [3]又は[4]に記載の脱気モジュールにおいて、第一封止部及び第二封止部は、筒部内の領域を、複数の中空糸膜を境界として、複数の中空糸膜の中空部を含む内部領域と液体流通パイプの液体流通路を含む外部領域とに仕切ってもよい。この脱気モジュールでは、第一封止部及び第二封止部が、筒部内の領域を、複数の中空糸膜を境界として、複数の中空糸膜の中空部を含む内部領域と液体流通パイプの液体流通路を含む外部領域とに仕切る。このため、内部領域と外部領域とを容易に仕切ることができる。
[6] [3]~[5]の何れかに記載の脱気モジュールにおいて液体供給ポートは、液体流通パイプの第二延在方向側の端部に接続されており、液体流通パイプの第一延在方向側の端部は、塞がれていてもよい。この脱気モジュールでは、液体流通パイプの第一延在方向側の端部が塞がれており、液体供給ポートが液体流通パイプの第二延在方向側の端部に接続されている。このため、液体供給ポートに液体を供給すると、液体は、液体流通パイプに供給され、複数の開口から液体流通パイプの外側に出て、複数の中空糸膜に接触して脱気される。その後、複数の中空糸膜に接触して脱気された液体は、液体流通パイプに戻ることなく、液体排出ポートから排出される。つまり、液体は、複数の中空糸膜を液体流通パイプに押し付ける方向に流れて行かずに、複数の中空糸膜を液体流通パイプから離す方向に流れて行く。これにより、液体が複数の中空糸膜を通過する際の圧力損失の増加を抑制することができるため、液体の流量の低下を抑制することができる。その結果、例えば、脱気モジュールに液体を供給するための液体供給装置として比較的低出力のものを採用することができる。
[7] [6]に記載の脱気モジュールにおいて、筒部の第一延在方向側の端部に接続される第一蓋部と、筒部の第二延在方向側の端部に接続される第二蓋部と、複数の中空糸膜を透過したガスを排出するためのガスポートと、を更に備え、ガスポートは、第一蓋部及び第二蓋部の少なくとも一方に設けられていてもよい。この脱気モジュールでは、筒部の両端部に第一蓋部及び第二蓋部が接続されており、ガスポートが第一蓋部及び第二蓋部の少なくとも一方に設けられているため、脱気モジュールを容易に製造することができる。
[8] [7]に記載の脱気モジュールにおいて、第一蓋部は、複数の中空糸膜の中空部に連通される第一端連通空間を形成しており、ガスポートは、第一端連通空間に隣接して第一端連通空間に連通される第一端ガスポートを有してもよい。この脱気モジュールでは、第一蓋部が、複数の中空糸膜の中空部に連通される第一端連通空間を形成しており、ガスポートが、第一端連通空間に隣接して第一端連通空間に連通される第一端ガスポートを有する。このため、第一延在方向側の端から複数の中空糸膜の中空部を吸引することができる脱気モジュールを容易に製造することができる。
[9] [7]又は[8]に記載の脱気モジュールにおいて、第二蓋部は、複数の中空糸膜の中空部に連通される第二端連通空間を形成しており、ガスポートは、第二端連通空間に隣接して第二端連通空間に連通される第二端ガスポートを有してもよい。この脱気モジュールでは、第二蓋部が、複数の中空糸膜の中空部に連通される第二端連通空間を形成しており、ガスポートが、第二端連通空間に隣接して第二端連通空間に連通される第二端ガスポートを有する。このため、第二延在方向側の端から複数の中空糸膜の中空部を吸引することができる脱気モジュールを容易に製造することができる。
 本開示によれば、大流量化しても中空糸膜の破断を抑制することができる。

 以下、図面を参照して、実施形態の脱気モジュール及び液体の脱気方法について説明する。なお、全図中、同一または相当部分には同一符号を付し、重複する説明を省略する。
[脱気モジュール]
 図1は、実施形態に係る脱気モジュールの概略断面図である。図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1は、液体Lを脱気するためのモジュールである。液体Lは、特に限定されるものではないが、例えば、水道水、飲料水、純水、超純水、海水、工業用水等の水、硫酸アンモニウム、界面活性剤等を溶解させた水溶液、アルコール、炭化水素等の有機溶剤、イオン性液体等である。脱気モジュール1は、脱気エレメント2と、ハウジング3と、閉塞部5と、仕切部7と、を備える。なお、図1では、ハウジング3のみ断面で示している。
 図2は、脱気エレメントの概略正面図である。図3は、図2に示すIII-III線における概略断面図である。図4は、図2に示す脱気エレメントの一部を示す概略断面図である。図5は、図2に示す脱気エレメントの一部を示す概略断面図である。図1~図5に示すように、脱気エレメント2は、液体Lを脱気するためのものである。脱気エレメント2は、液体流通パイプ21と、複数の中空糸膜22と、第一固定部24と、第二固定部25と、を備える。
 液体流通パイプ21は、延在方向D2に延在する円筒状の部材である。延在方向D2の両方向のうち、一方の方向を第一延在方向D21といい、他方の方向を第二延在方向D22という。図2では、上方が第一延在方向D21となり、下方が第二延在方向D22となる。脱気エレメント2の第一延在方向D21側の端部を、第一エレメント端部2aといい、脱気エレメント2の第二延在方向D22側の端部を、第二エレメント端部2bという。
 液体流通パイプ21は、液体流通路21aを形成している。液体流通路21aは、液体Lが流通可能な流路(パイプ内流路)であり、液体流通パイプ21の内周面により形成される。液体流通パイプ21は、脱気エレメント2の延在方向D2における全域に延びている。つまり、液体流通パイプ21は、脱気エレメント2の第一延在方向D21の端から脱気エレメント2の第二延在方向D22の端まで延びている。液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aは、第一延在方向D21及び第二延在方向D22に開放されている。液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aの第一延在方向D21側の開口を、第一端液体流通パイプ開口21bといい、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aの第二延在方向D22側の開口を、第二端液体流通パイプ開口21cという。なお、脱気エレメント2においては、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに、液体Lの延在方向D2への移動を阻止するバッフル等の部材が設けられていない。
 液体流通パイプ21には、複数の開口21dが形成されている。複数の開口21dは、第一端液体流通パイプ開口21b及び第二端液体流通パイプ開口21cとは別に液体流通路21aから液体流通パイプ21の外側に液体Lを出すための穴である。つまり、複数の開口21dは、液体流通パイプ21の径方向において液体流通路21aから液体流通パイプ21の外側に液体Lを出すための穴である。複数の開口21dは、液体流通パイプ21の周壁に形成されて、液体流通路21aを液体流通パイプ21の外側に開放している。
 複数の中空糸膜22は、液体流通パイプ21に沿って延びて、複数の開口21dを覆うように液体流通パイプ21の周囲に配置されている。複数の中空糸膜22が液体流通パイプ21に沿って延びているとは、脱気エレメント2の初期状態(未使用状態)において、複数の中空糸膜22が延在方向D2に沿って延びていることをいう。複数の中空糸膜22は、全体として略円筒状の膜束となっている。
 複数の中空糸膜22は、例えば、簾状に織られた中空糸膜織物(不図示)により形成される。中空糸膜織物は、緯糸となる複数の中空糸膜22と経糸(不図示)とが織られた織物である。中空糸膜織物では、複数の中空糸膜22が簾状に配置されている。そして、複数の中空糸膜22が延在方向D2に延びて複数の開口21dを覆うように、中空糸膜織物が液体流通パイプ21に巻き付けられている。
 中空糸膜22の中空部22aは、ガスGが流通可能な流路(膜内流路)であり、中空糸膜22の内周面により形成される。複数の中空糸膜22は、脱気エレメント2の延在方向D2における全域に延びている。つまり、複数の中空糸膜22は、脱気エレメント2の第一延在方向D21の端から脱気エレメント2の第二延在方向D22の端まで延びている。複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aは、第一延在方向D21及び第二延在方向D22に開放されている。なお、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aは、複数の中空糸膜22のそれぞれの中空部22aをいう。複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aの第一延在方向D21側の開口を、第一端中空糸膜開口22bといい、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aの第二延在方向D22側の開口を、第二端中空糸膜開口22cという。
 中空糸膜22は、ガスGは透過するが液体Lは透過しない中空糸状の膜である。中空糸膜22の素材、膜形状、膜形態等は、特に制限されない。中空糸膜22の素材としては、例えば、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリメチルペンテン等のポリオレフィン系樹脂、ポリジメチルシロキサンその共重合体などのシリコン系樹脂、PTFE、フッ化ビニリデンなどのフッ素系樹脂、が挙げられる。中空糸膜22の膜形状(側壁の形状)としては、例えば、多孔質膜、微多孔膜、多孔質を有さない均質膜(非多孔膜)、が挙げられる。中空糸膜22の膜形態としては、例えば、膜全体の化学的あるいは物理的構造が均質な対称膜(均質膜)、膜の化学的あるいは物理的構造が膜の部分によって異なる非対称膜(不均質膜)、が挙げられる。非対称膜(不均質膜)は、非多孔質の緻密層と多孔質の多孔質層とを有する膜である。非多孔質とは、液体が通過可能な孔を有しないことをいう。多孔質とは、液体が通過可能な孔を有することをいう。この場合、緻密層は、膜の表層部分又は多孔質膜内部等、膜中のどこに形成されていてもよい。不均質膜には、化学構造の異なる複合膜、3層構造のような多層構造膜も含まれる。特にポリ4-メチルペンテン-1樹脂を用いた不均質膜は、液体Lを遮断する緻密層を有するため、特に好ましい。
 中空糸膜22の外径は、特に限定されるものではない。膜面積を増大する観点から、中空糸膜22の外径は、例えば、1000μm以下、好ましくは700μm以下、より好ましくは400μm以下とすることができる。一方、破断を抑制する観点から、中空糸膜22の外径は、例えば、50μm以上、好ましくは100μm以上、より好ましくは150μm以上とすることができる。
 第一固定部24は、第一エレメント端部2aに位置して、液体流通パイプ21及び複数の中空糸膜22の間を封止して複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを開口するように複数の中空糸膜22を液体流通パイプ21に固定している。つまり、第一固定部24は、複数の中空糸膜22の第一延在方向D21側の端部を液体流通パイプ21に固定している。そして、第一固定部24は、液体流通パイプ21及び複数の中空糸膜22の間を封止している。また、第一固定部24は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21a及び複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに設けられていないことで、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21a及び複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを開口している。第一固定部24は、例えば、樹脂により形成されている。
 第二固定部25は、第二エレメント端部2bに位置して、液体流通パイプ21及び複数の中空糸膜22の間を封止して複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを開口するように複数の中空糸膜22を液体流通パイプ21に固定している。つまり、第二固定部25は、複数の中空糸膜22の第二延在方向D22側の端部を液体流通パイプ21に固定している。そして、第二固定部25は、液体流通パイプ21及び複数の中空糸膜22の間を封止している。また、第二固定部25は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21a及び複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに設けられていないことで、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21a及び複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを開口している。第二固定部25は、例えば、樹脂により形成されている。
 なお、複数の中空糸膜22は、ハウジング等の部材に覆われておらず、第一固定部24と第二固定部25との間において脱気エレメント2の外側に露出している。
 図6は、図1に示す脱気モジュールの一部を示す概略断面図である。図7は、図1に示す脱気モジュールの一部を示す概略断面図である。図8は、図1に示す脱気モジュールの一部を示す概略断面図である。図1、図2、及び図6~図8に示すように、ハウジング3は、脱気エレメント2との間に隙間S1が形成されるように脱気エレメント2を収容する。この隙間S1は、脱気エレメント2とハウジング3との間の、液体Lが流通可能な空間である。
 ハウジング3は、脱気エレメント2の周囲を囲う筒部31と、筒部31の一方側の端部に接続される第一蓋部32と、筒部31の第一蓋部32とは反対側の端部に接続される第二蓋部33と、を備えている。
 筒部31は、延在方向D1に延びる円筒状に形成されている。延在方向D1は、第一蓋部32と第二蓋部33との対向方向でもある。延在方向D1の両方向のうち、一方の方向を第一延在方向D11といい、他方の方向を第二延在方向D12という。図1では、上方が第一延在方向D11となり、下方が第二延在方向D12となる。筒部31は、脱気エレメント2の周囲を囲うように脱気エレメント2を収容している。本実施形態では、筒部31は、脱気エレメント2の延在方向D2が、筒部31の延在方向D1と一致するように、脱気エレメント2を収容している。このため、筒部31の延在方向D1と脱気エレメント2の延在方向D2とは同じ方向となっている。
 第一蓋部32は、筒部31の第一延在方向D11側の開口を覆うように、筒部31の第一延在方向D11側の端部に接続されている。第二蓋部33は、筒部31の第二延在方向D12側の開口を覆うように、筒部31の第二延在方向D12側の端部に接続されている。第一蓋部32及び第二蓋部33は、筒部31に対して着脱可能に接続されている。そして、ハウジング3では、筒部31に対して第一蓋部32及び第二蓋部33の少なくとも一方を外すことで、筒部31から脱気エレメント2を着脱して交換することが可能となっている。筒部31に対する第一蓋部32及び第二蓋部33の着脱可能な接続は、例えば、螺合、嵌合等により行うことができる。
 大容量の液体Lの脱気を可能とする観点から、ハウジング3内の容積は、例えば、10 L以上80 L以下となっている。同様の観点から、筒部31の内径は、例えば、10 cm以上50 cm以下となっている。同様の観点から、筒部31の延在方向D2における長さは、例えば、30 cm以上70 cm以下となっている。
 閉塞部5は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aの第一延在方向D21側の端部21fを塞いでいる。つまり、閉塞部5は、液体流通パイプ21の第一延在方向D21側の端部21fにおいて、液体流通路21aを塞いでいる。閉塞部5は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aの第一延在方向D21側の端部に嵌め込まれている。閉塞部5は、プラグ等とも呼ばれる。なお、閉塞部5は、第一蓋部32と一体的に形成されていてもよい。閉塞部5は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに供給された液体Lが液体流通パイプ21から第一延在方向D21に排出されるのを阻止する。このため、液体Lは、液体流通パイプ21から第一延在方向D21に排出されることなく、液体流通パイプ21に形成された複数の開口21dから液体流通パイプ21の径方向外側に排出される。
 なお、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aには、閉塞部5以外に、液体Lの延在方向D2への移動を阻止する部材が設けられていない。
 仕切部7は、ハウジング3内の領域を、複数の中空糸膜22を境界として、内部領域R1と外部領域R2とに仕切る。内部領域R1は、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを含む領域である。外部領域R2は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aを含む領域である。このため、中空糸膜22の膜が、内部領域R1と外部領域R2との境界となる。つまり、中空糸膜22の内側(中空部22a)が内部領域R1となり、中空糸膜22の外側が外部領域R2となる。そして、複数の中空糸膜22は、外部領域R2から内部領域R1への液体Lの透過を阻止し、外部領域R2から内部領域R1へのガスG(液体Lの溶存気体、液体Lに含まれる気泡等)の透過を許容する。なお、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aは、液体流通パイプ21に形成された複数の開口21dにより液体流通パイプ21の外側と連通されているため、外部領域R2には、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに連通された液体流通パイプ21の外側の空間S2も含まれる。
 仕切部7は、第一仕切部71と、第二仕切部72と、を有する。第一仕切部71は、脱気エレメント2の第一固定部24と筒部31との間を封止している。また、第二仕切部72は、脱気エレメント2の第二固定部25と筒部31との間を封止している。
 このため、第一固定部24及び第一仕切部71は、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aが第一延在方向D21側に開口するように、液体流通パイプ21の第一延在方向D21側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜22の第一延在方向D21側の端部と、筒部31と、の間を封止する第一封止部として機能する。また、第二固定部25及び第二仕切部72は、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aが第二延在方向D22側に開口するように、液体流通パイプ21の第二延在方向D22側の端部と、複数の中空糸膜22の第二延在方向D22側の端部と、筒部31と、の間を封止する第二封止部として機能する。そして、第一封止部として機能する第一固定部24及び第一仕切部71と第二封止部として機能する第二固定部25及び第二仕切部72とは、筒部31内の領域を、内部領域R1と外部領域R2とに仕切っている。
 脱気エレメント2の第一延在方向D21側には、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに連通された第一端連通空間S3が形成されている。また、脱気エレメント2の第二延在方向D22側には、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに連通された第二端連通空間S4が形成されている。第一端連通空間S3及び第二端連通空間S4は、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに連通されているため、内部領域R1の一部でもある。
 第一端連通空間S3は、脱気エレメント2の第一固定部24、第一仕切部71、及び第一蓋部32に囲まれた空間である。また、第一端連通空間S3は、脱気エレメント2の第一エレメント端部2aの第一延在方向D21側に隣接した空間である。また、第一端連通空間S3は、脱気エレメント2の第一端中空糸膜開口22bに隣接した空間である。
 第二端連通空間S4は、脱気エレメント2の第二固定部25、第二仕切部72、及び第二蓋部33に囲まれた空間である。また、第二端連通空間S4は、脱気エレメント2の第二エレメント端部2bの第二延在方向D22側に隣接した空間である。また、第二端連通空間S4は、脱気エレメント2の第二端中空糸膜開口22cに隣接した空間である。
 空間S2は、脱気エレメント2の液体流通パイプ21、複数の中空糸膜22、第一固定部24、及び第二固定部25と、筒部31と、第一仕切部71と、第二仕切部72と、に囲まれた空間である。また、空間S2は、脱気エレメント2の第一固定部24及び第一仕切部71の第二延在方向D22側に隣接するとともに脱気エレメント2の第二固定部25及び第二仕切部72の第一延在方向D21側に隣接した空間である。
 また、第一仕切部71は、脱気エレメント2の第一固定部24と筒部31との間を封止することで、脱気エレメント2の第一固定部24を筒部31に固定している。第二仕切部72は、脱気エレメント2の第二固定部25と筒部31との間を封止することで、脱気エレメント2の第二固定部25を筒部31に固定している。第一仕切部71及び第二仕切部72は、例えば、樹脂により形成されている。
 ハウジング3は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに液体Lを供給するための液体供給ポート35と、液体流通パイプ21から出た液体Lを排出するための液体排出ポート36と、複数の中空糸膜22を透過したガスを排出するためのガスポートである第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39と、を有している。なお、真空モードで液体Lを脱気する場合、第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39は、真空ポート等とも呼ばれる。液体供給ポート35、液体排出ポート36、第一端ガスポート38、及び第二端ガスポート39は、ハウジング3と一体的に構成されていてもよく、ハウジング3とは別の部材であってもよい。
 液体供給ポート35は、第二蓋部33に設けられて、ハウジング3の内外を連通するポートである。液体供給ポート35は、第二蓋部33からハウジング3の内側にパイプ状に延びて、液体流通パイプ21の第二延在方向D22側の端部21eに接続されている。そして、液体供給ポート35は、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに連通されている。
 液体排出ポート36は、筒部31に設けられて、ハウジング3の内外を連通するポートである。液体排出ポート36は、例えば、筒部31の第一延在方向D11側の端部近傍に設けられている。液体排出ポート36は、空間S2に隣接して、空間S2に連通されている。
 第一端ガスポート38は、第一蓋部32に設けられて、ハウジング3の内外を連通するポートである。第一端ガスポート38は、第一端連通空間S3に隣接して、第一端連通空間S3に連通されている。
 第二端ガスポート39は、第二蓋部33に設けられて、ハウジング3の内外を連通するポートである。第二端ガスポート39は、第二端連通空間S4に隣接して、第二端連通空間S4に連通されている。
[液体の脱気方法]
 次に、脱気モジュール1を用いた液体Lの脱気方法について説明する。ここでは、液体Lの脱気方法の一例として、真空モードにより液体Lを脱気する方法について説明する。
 この脱気方法では、脱気モジュール1の第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39を吸引するとともに、脱気モジュール1の液体供給ポート35に液体Lを供給する。第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39の吸引は、例えば、配管等を介して真空ポンプ等の吸引装置(不図示)と第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39とを接続し、この吸引装置を作動させることにより行うことができる。液体供給ポート35への液体Lの供給は、例えば、配管等を介して液体Lを送り出す送液ポンプ等の液体供給装置(不図示)と液体供給ポート35とを接続し、この液体供給装置を作動させることにより行うことができる。
 第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39を吸引すると、第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39に連通された内部領域R1が吸引され、内部領域R1が減圧された状態となる。また、液体供給ポート35に液体Lに供給すると、液体Lは、液体供給ポート35に連通された外部領域R2に供給される。液体供給ポート35に供給された液体Lは、液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aに供給される。そして、液体Lは、液体流通パイプ21の複数の開口21dから空間S2に排出され、複数の中空糸膜22に接触する。このとき、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aが減圧された状態となっているため、液体Lの溶存気体、液体Lに含まれる気泡等のガスGが複数の中空糸膜22を透過する。これにより液体Lが脱気される。空間S2に排出されて脱気された液体Lは、液体排出ポート36から排出される。複数の中空糸膜22を透過したガスGは、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22a、第一端連通空間S3、及び第二端連通空間S4を通って、第一端ガスポート38及び第二端ガスポート39から排出される。
[液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランス]
 ここで、空間S2から液体排出ポート36に流れ込む液体Lは、その流水力によって、複数の中空糸膜22を液体排出ポート36に引き込もうとする。液体Lの流量が増加すると、この流水力はさらに強まり、さらに強く複数の中空糸膜22を液体排出ポート36に引き込もうとする。複数の中空糸膜22の一部が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれると、複数の中空糸膜22の一部が、液体排出ポート36のエッジに押し当てられる等して破断する恐れがある。そこで、本実施形態では、液体Lの流量が大流量になっても、複数の中空糸膜22の一部が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができるように構成されている。
 詳しく説明すると、液体排出ポート36と複数の中空糸膜22との間のクリアランス[m]をC(以下、「クリアランスC」ともいう)とし、複数の中空糸膜22の膜面積[m]をA(以下、「膜面積A」ともいう)とし、液体流通パイプ21に供給される液体Lの流量[m/h]をQ(以下、「流量Q」ともく)とする。液体流通パイプ21に供給される液体Lは、例えば、水である。クリアランスCは、液体排出ポート36と複数の中空糸膜22とが最も近接した位置における液体排出ポート36と複数の中空糸膜22との離間距離である。
 膜面積Aは、複数の中空糸膜22のうちの、脱気膜として機能する部分の膜面積をいう。複数の中空糸膜22のうちの第一固定部24及び第二固定部25に固定されている部分は、脱気膜として機能しない。このため、膜面積Aは、複数の中空糸膜22のうちの第一固定部24及び第二固定部25に固定されている部分を含まない、第一封止部(第一固定部24及び第一仕切部71)と第二封止部(第二固定部25及び第二仕切部72)との間における複数の中空糸膜22の膜面積となる。流量Qは、例えば、液体供給ポート35に供給する液体Lの流量することにより、又は液体排出ポート36から排出された液体Lの流量を計測することにより、求めることができる。
 そして、本実施形態に係る液体の脱気方法では、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に液体Lを供給する。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、次の(1)~(4)の少なくとも一つの条件を満たすように設定されている。
(1)C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC、膜面積A、及び流量Qが設定されている。なお、このように流量Qが設定されているとは、例えば、液体供給ポート35に液体Lを供給する液体供給装置(不図示)が、このような関係を満たすような流量Qの液体Lを供給するように設定されていることをいう。このため、流量Qが固定されていれば、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されていればよい。
(2)C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。
(3)液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に50m/hの流量の液体Lが供給された場合に、C/(A×50)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。
(4)液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に100m/hの流量の液体Lが供給された場合に、C/(A×100)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。
 クリアランスCは、例えば、筒部31の内径、複数の中空糸膜22の外径、筒部31の径方向における脱気エレメント2の位置、筒部31に対する脱気エレメント2の傾き等を調整することで、クリアランスCを調整することができる。つまり、筒部31の内径、複数の中空糸膜の外径、筒部31の径方向における脱気エレメント2の位置、筒部31に対する脱気エレメント2の傾き等を設定することで、クリアランスCが所定の値に設定されたものとすることができる。例えば、筒部31の内径を大きくすることで、クリアランスCを大きくすることができる。また、複数の中空糸膜22の外径を小さくすることで、クリアランスCを大きくすることができる。また、第一仕切部71及び第二仕切部72の周方向における厚さを変える等して、脱気エレメント2(液体流通パイプ21)を筒部31の径方向中心から液体排出ポート6とは反対側にずらすことで、クリアランスCを大きくすることができる。また、第一仕切部71及び第二仕切部72の少なくとも一方の周方向における厚さを変える等して、脱気エレメント2(液体流通パイプ21)が液体排出ポート6とは反対側に傾斜するように脱気エレメント2の延在方向D2を筒部31の延在方向D1に対して傾斜させることで、クリアランスCを大きくすることができる。
 膜面積Aは、例えば、複数の中空糸膜22の本数、複数の中空糸膜22のそれぞれの外径、複数の中空糸膜22の長さ等を変えることで、調整することができる。つまり、複数の中空糸膜22の本数、複数の中空糸膜22のそれぞれの外径、複数の中空糸膜22の長さ等を設定することで、膜面積Aが所定の値に設定されたものとすることができる。
 以上説明したように、本実施形態に係る液体の脱気方法では、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に液体Lを供給する。このため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/h又は100m/hのような大流量で液体Lを供給した場合に、中空糸膜22が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜22の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
 また、この液体の脱気方法では、液体Lとして、液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に水を供給するため、中空糸膜22の破断を抑制しつつ、大流量で水を脱気することができる。
 本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。このため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/h又は100m/hのような大流量で液体を供給した場合に、中空糸膜22が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜22の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に50m/hの流量の液体Lが供給された際に、C/(A×50)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。このため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、50m/hの大流量で液体Lを供給した場合に、中空糸膜22が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜22の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、液体供給ポート35から液体流通パイプ21に100m/hの流量の液体Lが供給された際に、C/(A×100)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、クリアランスC及び膜面積Aが設定されている。このため、特許文献1に記載されたバッフル板を設けなくても、100m/hの大流量で液体Lを供給した場合に、中空糸膜22が液体排出ポート36に引き込まれて破断するのを抑制することができる。これにより、大流量化した際の中空糸膜22の破断を抑制しつつ脱気効率を向上することができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、第一封止部及び第二封止部が、筒部31内の領域を、複数の中空糸膜22を境界として、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを含む内部領域R1と液体流通パイプ21の液体流通路21aを含む外部領域R2とに仕切る。このため、内部領域R1と外部領域R2とを容易に仕切ることができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、液体流通パイプ21の第一延在方向D21側の端部21fが塞がれており、液体供給ポート35が液体流通パイプ21の第二延在方向D22側の端部21eに接続されている。このため、液体供給ポート35に液体Lを供給すると、液体Lは、液体流通パイプ21に供給され、複数の開口21dから液体流通パイプ21の外側に出て、複数の中空糸膜22に接触して脱気される。その後、複数の中空糸膜22に接触して脱気された液体Lは、液体流通パイプ21に戻ることなく、液体排出ポート36から排出される。つまり、液体Lは、複数の中空糸膜22を液体流通パイプ21に押し付ける方向に流れて行かずに、複数の中空糸膜22を液体流通パイプ21から離す方向に流れて行く。これにより、液体Lが複数の中空糸膜22を通過する際の圧力損失の増加を抑制することができるため、液体Lの流量の低下を抑制することができる。その結果、例えば、脱気モジュール1に液体Lを供給するための液体供給装置として比較的低出力のものを採用することができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、筒部31の第一延在方向D11側の端部に接続される第一蓋部32が、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに連通される第一端連通空間S3を形成しており、第一端ガスポート38が、第一端連通空間S3に隣接して第一端連通空間S3に連通されている。このため、第一延在方向D21側の端から複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを吸引することができる脱気モジュール1を容易に製造することができる。
 また、本実施形態に係る脱気モジュール1では、筒部31の第二延在方向D12側の端部に接続される第二蓋部33が、複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aに連通される第二端連通空間S4を形成しており、第二端ガスポート39が、第二端連通空間S4に隣接して第二端連通空間S4に連通されている。このため、第二延在方向D22側の端から複数の中空糸膜22の中空部22aを吸引することができる脱気モジュール1を容易に製造することができる。
 以上、本開示の好適な実施形態について説明したが、本開示は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。
 例えば、上記実施形態では、液体排出ポートは、筒部の第一延在方向側の端部近傍に設けられているものとして説明したが、筒部のいかなる位置に設けられていてもよい。図9は、他の例の脱気モジュールの概略断面図である。図9に示す脱気モジュール1Aでは、液体排出ポート36は、筒部31の延在方向D1における中央部に設けられている。
 また、上記実施形態では、ガスポートが第一蓋部及び第二蓋部の双方に設けられるものとして説明したが、第一蓋部及び第二蓋部の何れか一方のみの設けられていてもよい。
 次に、本開示の実施例について説明する。但し、本開示は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
(実施例1)
 実施例1として、上記実施形態と同様の構成を有する脱気モジュールを作成した。実施例1の脱気モジュールでは、複数の中空糸膜の膜面積Aが140mであり、液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスCが17.9×10-3m(0.0179m)であった。そして、実施例1の脱気モジュールを用いて、最大流量Qが50m/hとなる水を48時間液体供給ポートに供給して脱気を行った。その後、ハウジングから脱気エレメントを取り出して、複数の中空糸膜の破断評価を確認した。破断評価では、破断した中空糸膜が確認されなかった場合をAとし、破断した中空糸膜が確認された場合をBとした。評価結果を表1に示す。
(比較例1)
 比較例1として、上記実施形態と同様の構成を有する脱気モジュールを作成した。比較例1の脱気モジュールでは、液体排出ポートと複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスCが13.9×10-3m(0.0139m)であった。そして、比較例1の脱気モジュールを用いて、最大流量Qが50m/hとなる水を2時間液体供給ポートに供給して脱気を行った。その後、ハウジングから脱気エレメントを取り出して、複数の中空糸膜の破断評価を行った。破断評価では破断した中空糸膜が確認されなかった場合をAとし、破断した中空糸膜が確認された場合をBとした。評価結果を表1に示す。
 表1に示すように、実施例1は、C/(A×Q)×10が0.2以上である0.256となり、複数の中空糸膜の破断評価がAであった。これに対し、比較例1は、C/(A×Q)×10が0.2未満である0.185となり、複数の中空糸膜の破断評価がBであった。この結果から、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすことで、液体を50m/hの大流量で供給しても、中空糸膜が液体排出ポートに引き込まれて破断するのを抑制できると推認される。

Claims (9)

  1.  複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、
     前記複数の開口を覆うように前記液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、
     前記液体流通パイプ及び前記複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の中空部が前記液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部と、の間を封止する第一封止部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部が前記延在方向における前記第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、
     前記液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、
     前記筒部に設けられて前記液体流通パイプから出た前記液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、
    を備える脱気モジュールを用いて液体を脱気する脱気方法であって、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部を吸引し、
     前記液体排出ポートと前記複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスをCとし、前記複数の中空糸膜の膜面積をAとし、前記液体供給ポートから前記液体流通パイプに供給される前記液体の流量をQとした場合、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、前記液体供給ポートから前記液体流通パイプに前記液体を供給する、
    液体の脱気方法。
  2.  前記液体供給ポートから前記液体流通パイプに、前記液体として水を供給する、
    請求項1に記載の液体の脱気方法。
  3.  複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、
     前記複数の開口を覆うように前記液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、
     前記液体流通パイプ及び前記複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の中空部が前記液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部との間を封止する第一封止部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部が前記延在方向における前記第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、
     前記液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、
     前記筒部に設けられて前記液体流通パイプから出た前記液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、を備え、
     前記液体排出ポートと前記複数の中空糸膜との間のクリアランスをCとし、前記複数の中空糸膜の膜面積をAとし、前記液体供給ポートから前記液体流通パイプに供給される前記液体の流量をQとした場合、C/(A×Q)×10≧0.2の関係を満たすように、前記クリアランス及び前記膜面積が設定されている、
    脱気モジュール。
  4.  請求項1又は2に記載の液体の脱気方法に用いる脱気モジュールであって、
     複数の開口が形成されて内部に液体流通路が形成された液体流通パイプと、
     前記複数の開口を覆うように前記液体流通パイプの周囲に配置される複数の中空糸膜と、
     前記液体流通パイプ及び前記複数の中空糸膜を収容する筒部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の中空部が前記液体流通パイプの延在方向における一方の方向である第一延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第一延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部との間を封止する第一封止部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部が前記延在方向における前記第一延在方向とは反対の方向である第二延在方向側に開口するように、前記液体流通パイプの前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記第二延在方向側の端部と、前記筒部と、の間を封止する第二封止部と、
     前記液体流通パイプに液体を供給するための液体供給ポートと、
     前記筒部に設けられて前記液体流通パイプから出た前記液体を排出するための液体排出ポートと、を備える、
    脱気モジュール。
  5.  前記第一封止部及び前記第二封止部は、前記筒部内の領域を、前記複数の中空糸膜を境界として、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部を含む内部領域と前記液体流通パイプの前記液体流通路を含む外部領域とに仕切る、
    請求項3に記載の脱気モジュール。
  6.  前記液体供給ポートは、前記液体流通パイプの前記第二延在方向側の端部に接続されており、
     前記液体流通パイプの前記第一延在方向側の端部は、塞がれている、
    請求項3に記載の脱気モジュール。
  7.  前記筒部の前記第一延在方向側の端部に接続される第一蓋部と、
     前記筒部の前記第二延在方向側の端部に接続される第二蓋部と、
     前記複数の中空糸膜を透過したガスを排出するためのガスポートと、を更に備え、
     前記ガスポートは、前記第一蓋部及び前記第二蓋部の少なくとも一方に設けられている、
    請求項6に記載の脱気モジュール。
  8.  前記第一蓋部は、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部に連通される第一端連通空間を形成しており、
     前記ガスポートは、前記第一端連通空間に隣接して前記第一端連通空間に連通される第一端ガスポートを有する、
    請求項7に記載の脱気モジュール。
  9.  前記第二蓋部は、前記複数の中空糸膜の前記中空部に連通される第二端連通空間を形成しており、
     前記ガスポートは、前記第二端連通空間に隣接して前記第二端連通空間に連通される第二端ガスポートを有する、
    請求項7に記載の脱気モジュール。
