Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an induction heating cooktop equipped with a long-life heating film.
  • a variety of cooking appliances are used to heat food at home and in restaurants. While gas-fired ranges have traditionally been widely used, devices that use electricity instead of gas to heat objects, such as cooking vessels like pots, are becoming increasingly popular.
  • Resistance heating involves passing current through a metallic resistance wire or a non-metallic heating element such as silicon carbide, which then transfers the heat generated to the object (e.g., a cooking vessel) through radiation or conduction, thereby heating the object.
  • Induction heating involves applying a certain amount of high-frequency power to a coil, which then utilizes the magnetic field generated around the coil to generate eddy currents in the metallic object, thereby heating the object itself.
  • cooktops using induction heating have a limitation: they can only heat magnetic materials. This means that if a non-magnetic material (e.g., heat-resistant glass, ceramics, etc.) is placed on the cooktop, the cooktop using induction heating cannot heat that material.
  • a non-magnetic material e.g., heat-resistant glass, ceramics, etc.
  • this method had the problem that not only was the heating efficiency low, but the time required to boil water was significantly longer than before. More specifically, this method was characterized by forming a flue hole in the heating plate, and when the cooking vessel contained a magnetic material, the cooking vessel was inductively heated by using the magnetic force lines passing through the flue hole, and the heating plate was also inductively heated by using a heating coil, which resulted in problems such as a decrease in heating efficiency.
  • an all-metal cooktop capable of heating all metal objects (i.e., non-magnetic metals and magnetic materials) has been designed. See U.S. Patent Publication No. 6,770,857 (August 3, 2004), which discloses the construction of an all-metal cooktop.
  • conventional devices have problems such as requiring the user to consider the material of the object to be heated in some cases, or not being able to heat some objects such as non-metallic objects to be heated that do not exhibit magnetism.
  • the conventional coating heating method using a planar heater creates a circuit with carbon material or conductive metals such as Ag, Pd, and Cu, and then connects a separate electrode to directly apply electricity to the planar heater to heat it.
  • the planar heater can only heat in the range of 200 to 300°C, so the usable temperature is limited, and the thermal efficiency is poor at temperatures above 300°C.
  • the heating performance is reduced because the electrodes within the planar heater oxidize, making ohmic contact impossible.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to provide an induction heating cooktop that can solve the problems of the conventional devices described above.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to provide an induction heating cooktop that heats an object to be heated regardless of the type of the object to be heated, while at the same time having high heating efficiency.
  • an object of the present invention to provide an induction heating type cooktop capable of heating both magnetic and non-magnetic objects without the user having to consider the material of the object to be heated.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide an induction heating cooktop capable of directly or indirectly heating an object to be heated with the same heat source.
  • another object of the present invention is to provide an induction heating type cooktop in which, when the object to be heated is a magnetic material, most of the eddy current is applied to the object to be heated so that the working coil can directly heat the object to be heated, and when the object to be heated is a non-magnetic material, the working coil can indirectly heat the object to be heated.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to provide an induction heating cooktop capable of reducing process costs by simply manufacturing a configuration capable of induction heating.
  • the induction heating cooktop according to the present invention can heat both magnetic and non-magnetic substances by including a working coil for heating a magnetic substance and a heating thin film coating for heating a non-magnetic substance.
  • the induction heating cooktop includes a working coil and a heating thin film coating which are arranged to overlap each other in the vertical direction, wherein the heating thin film coating has a laminated structure in which an adhesive layer and a heating layer are sequentially laminated, and the heating layer includes a conductive filler and a stability filler and has at least one of magnetic and non-magnetic properties so that an eddy current can be induced by the working coil to perform induction heating.
  • the skin depth of the heating thin film coating is deeper than the thickness of the heating thin film coating, when heating a heated object made of a magnetic material, the magnetic field generated by the working coil passes through the thin film and is transmitted to the heated object, which may induce an eddy current in the heated object.
  • eddy currents may be induced in the heating thin film coating due to the magnetic field generated by the working coil.
  • the induction heating cooktop according to the present invention can heat both magnetic and non-magnetic materials. Furthermore, the induction heating cooktop according to the present invention can heat an object regardless of its placement or type. Accordingly, a user can place an object on any heating area on the top plate and heat it without having to determine whether the object is magnetic or non-magnetic.
  • the induction heating cooktop according to the present invention can directly and indirectly heat an object using the same heat source, eliminating the need for a separate heating plate or radiant heater. Accordingly, the present invention not only improves heating efficiency but also reduces material costs.
