光-電気-光の信号変換機構を介在することなく複数の光ネットワークを光信号により直結している場合に、故障が発生した箇所の特定を容易にする。伝送先のトランスポンダで検知されたエラーの情報を複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達するエラー情報伝達部と、少なくとも、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質を測定する光信号品質測定部と、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて、入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とに基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する異常識別部とを備える。光信号品質の推定値を正常値として測定値と比較する。光信号品質の正常時の測定値とエラー発生時の測定値とを比較する。光信号品質の経時変化を閾値と比較する。

Description

光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム及び故障範囲特定方法
 本発明は、光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム及び故障範囲特定方法に関する。
 例えば図1に示した光ネットワークシステム10Aのように、互いに独立した複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13を相互に接続して光信号の形態で情報を伝送する場合がある。代表例としては、図1のように互いに異なる複数の事業会社A,B,Cがそれぞれ運営する光ネットワーク11,12,13を相互接続する場合が想定される。
 図1に示した例では、光ネットワーク11内では、光ファイバで構成される光伝送路14Aを用いて光信号の形態で様々な情報を伝送する。同様に光ネットワーク12内では光伝送路14Bを用いて光信号の形態で様々な情報を伝送する。光ネットワーク13内では光伝送路14Cを用いて光信号の形態で様々な情報を伝送する。
 図1の光ネットワークシステム10Aにおいては、光ネットワーク11の入力側の一端および出力側の他端に、それぞれトランスポンダ15Aおよび15Bが接続されている。同様に、光ネットワーク12の入力側の一端および出力側の他端に、それぞれトランスポンダ15Cおよび15Dが接続されている。光ネットワーク13の入力側の一端および出力側の他端に、それぞれトランスポンダ15Eおよび15Fが接続されている。
 光ネットワーク入力側の各トランスポンダ15A,15C,15Eは、送信する情報を含む電気信号により変調した光信号を生成して伝送路の光ファイバに送出する機能を有している。光ネットワーク出力側の各トランスポンダ15B,15D,15Fは、伝送路の光ファイバから入力される光信号を電気信号に変換し、この電気信号を復調して受信した情報を取得する。また、出力側の各トランスポンダ15B,15D,15Fは、復調した電気信号から伝送された情報のエラーを検出する機能を有している。
 図1の光ネットワークシステム10Aにおいて、光ネットワーク11から出力される光信号は、トランスポンダ15Bで電気信号に変換され、電気信号の形態で網間接続部16を通ってトランスポンダ15Cに入力される。ここで、光ネットワーク11側のトランスポンダ15Bは、光ネットワーク11側で発生したエラーの情報を下流側のトランスポンダ15Cに渡すことができる。また、光ネットワーク12から出力される光信号は、トランスポンダ15Dで電気信号に変換され、電気信号の形態で網間接続部17を通ってトランスポンダ15Eに入力される。光ネットワーク12側のトランスポンダ15Dは、光ネットワーク12側で発生したエラーの情報を下流側のトランスポンダ15Eに渡すことができる。
 一方、オールフォトニクス・ネットワーク(APN)の技術思想では、ユーザ端末間に低遅延かつ低消費電力なEnd-to-End光直結パスを提供するために、ネットワーク間に設けていた光-電気-光変換を不要化することを目指している。
 オールフォトニクス・ネットワークとして構成した光ネットワークシステム10Bの構成例を図2に示す。図2の光ネットワークシステム10Bにおいては、光ネットワーク11の光伝送路14Aから出力される光信号は、光信号のままで網間接続部16を通り、次の光ネットワーク12の光伝送路14Bに受け渡される。同様に、光ネットワーク12の光伝送路14Aから出力される光信号は、光信号のままで網間接続部17を通り、次の光ネットワーク13の光伝送路14Cに受け渡される。
 一方、非特許文献1は、光ネットワークにおける光信号品質(GSNR:generalized signal-to-noise ratio)を推定するツール(GNPy)に関する技術を開示している。

 ところで、事業会社が光ネットワークシステムを保守運用する際には、故障が発生した場合に、故障箇所の特定を容易にする必要がある。
 例えば、図1に示した光ネットワークシステム10Aを利用し、ユーザが光ネットワーク11の入力のトランスポンダ15Aを経由して送信した情報を光ネットワーク13の出力のトランスポンダ15Fの下流側の端末に届ける場合に、図3に示したような状況が生じる可能性がある。
 図3の例では、光ネットワーク12の故障箇所18で故障が発生した場合を想定している。また、故障発生の影響でトランスポンダ15Fの位置でエラーカウント15Feとして「2」が検出される。すなわち、トランスポンダ15Fは、受信した光信号を電気信号に変換して復調した結果に基づき、エラーを把握できる。同時に、他の各トランスポンダ15B,15C,15D,15Eの位置のエラーカウント15Be,15Ce,15De,15Eeとして「0」、「0」、「1」、「1」がそれぞれ検出される。この場合は、2つのエラーカウント15Ce,15Deの間に違いがあるため、光ネットワーク12の内部で故障が発生し、他の光ネットワーク11,13には、異常が無いことを特定できる。実際には、各トランスポンダ15B,15C,15D,15E,15Fが検出したエラーカウントの情報が下流側の光ネットワークに伝達されるので、各光ネットワーク11,12,13は、入力におけるエラーカウントと出力におけるエラーカウントとを比較して異常の有無を把握できる。
 一方、図2の光ネットワークシステム10Bにおいて故障が発生した場合には、図4に示すような状況が想定される。図4の例では、光ネットワーク12の故障箇所18で故障が発生した場合を想定している。また、故障発生の影響でトランスポンダ15Fの位置でエラーカウント15Feとして「1」が検出されるため、故障が生じている状況を確認できる。しかしながら、複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13の間を接続している箇所には、トランスポンダが存在しないので、トランスポンダ15Fが検出したエラーカウント15Feが、複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13上のいずれの区間における故障の影響で生じているのかを特定することは困難である。したがって、故障箇所18を含まない各光ネットワーク11,13についても異常の有無を調査しなければならず、故障箇所18の特定に時間および労力を要する。
 特に、複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13をそれぞれ異なる事業会社A,B,Cが管理しているような状況にて、それぞれの事業会社A,B,Cは、異常の発生箇所が自社の管理している光ネットワークと他社が管理している光ネットワークとのどちらに属しているのかを容易に把握できない。
 本発明は、上記の状況に鑑みてなされたものであり、光-電気-光の信号変換機構を介在することなく複数の光ネットワークを光信号により直結している場合に、故障が発生した箇所の特定が容易な光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム及び故障範囲特定方法を提供することを目的とする。
(1)本発明の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムは、それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワークが互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定システムであって、
 伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達するエラー情報伝達部と、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質を測定する光信号品質測定部と、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて、入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とに基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する異常識別部と、
 を備えることを特徴とする。
(2)本発明の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定方法は、それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワークが互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定方法であって、
 伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達し、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質をそれぞれ測定し、
 前記伝送先でエラーが検知された際に、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とを取得し、前記第1の光信号品質および前記第2の光信号品質に基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する、
 ことを特徴とする。
 本発明の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム及び故障範囲特定方法によれば、光-電気-光の信号変換機構を介在することなく複数の光ネットワークを光信号により直結している場合に、故障が発生した箇所の特定が容易になる。すなわち、光ネットワーク毎に実際に測定した光信号品質を取得できるので、取得した光信号品質に基づいて異常の発生の有無を光ネットワーク毎に識別可能であり、ネットワーク全体の中における故障範囲の特定が容易になる。

 本発明の実施形態について各図を参照しながら以下に説明する。
<光ネットワークシステムの構成>
 本発明の実施形態における故障範囲特定システムを含む光ネットワークシステム100の構成例を図5に示す。
 図5に示した光ネットワークシステム100は、互いに独立した複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13を備えている。これらの光ネットワーク11,12,13は、互いに異なる複数の事業会社A,B,Cがそれぞれ管理し運営している。
 図5の光ネットワークシステム100においては、複数の事業会社A,B,Cが管理している複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13の間を跨いで情報を伝送できる。それを可能にするために、光ネットワーク11の出力と光ネットワーク12の入力との間が網間接続部16で接続され、光ネットワーク12の出力と光ネットワーク13の入力との間が網間接続部17で接続されている。
 また、光ネットワークシステム100はオールフォトニクス・ネットワークとして構成してある。すなわち、各光ネットワーク11,12,13の内部、及び各網間接続部16、17において光信号-電気信号-光信号の変換は行わず、光信号の伝送形態を維持したままで全ての伝送路を直結し、送信元から伝送先まで光信号のままで情報の伝送を可能にする。
 図示しない送信元のユーザ端末は、トランスポンダ15Aと接続される。トランスポンダ15Aは、送信元のユーザ端末から入力される情報を電気信号の形態で受け取り、この電気信号により変調した光信号を生成し、光信号を光ネットワーク11の入力端に与える。光ネットワーク11に入力された光信号は、内部の光伝送路14Aを経由して光ネットワーク11から出力され、光信号のままで網間接続部16を通り下流側の光ネットワーク12に入力される。
 光ネットワーク12に入力された光信号は、内部の光伝送路14Bを経由して光ネットワーク12から出力され、光信号のままで網間接続部17を通り下流側の光ネットワーク13に入力される。光ネットワーク13に入力された光信号は、内部の光伝送路14Cを経由して光ネットワーク13から出力されトランスポンダ15Fに入力される。
 トランスポンダ15Fは、光ネットワーク13から出力された光信号を電気信号に変換して復調処理を行い、受信した情報を電気信号の形態で伝送先のユーザ端末に与える。また、トランスポンダ15Fは復調処理の結果に基づき、光ネットワーク11,12,13を経由して伝送した情報に発生したエラーを検知できる。
 一方、光伝送路14Aの出力と光伝送路14Bの入力が網間接続部16において光ファイバで直結されているため、光ネットワーク11自身は光伝送路14A上の故障に起因して発生したエラーの情報を検出することができず、そのエラーの情報を光ネットワーク12側に渡すことができない。同様に、光伝送路14Bの出力と光伝送路14Cの入力が網間接続部17において光ファイバで直結されているため、光ネットワーク12自身は光伝送路14A上の故障に起因して発生したエラーの情報を検出することができず、そのエラーの情報を光ネットワーク13側に渡すことができない。
 光ネットワーク11は、これを管理するために制御部25Aを備えている。また、光ネットワーク12はこれを管理するために制御部25Bを備え、光ネットワーク13はこれを管理するために制御部25Cを備えている。
 また、図5に示した例では光ネットワーク11の入力端および出力端に、それぞれ光信号測定器21Aおよび22Aが接続されている。各光信号測定器21A,22Aは、これらを接続した箇所の光信号に関するGSNRなどの光信号品質を測定する機能を有している。
 上記と同様に、光ネットワーク12の入力端および出力端に、それぞれ光信号測定器21Bおよび22Bが接続されている。更に、光ネットワーク13の入力端および出力端に、それぞれ光信号測定器21Cおよび22Cが接続されている。
 なお、本発明において光ネットワーク11の出力の光信号測定器22Aと、光ネットワーク12の入力の光信号測定器21Bのいずれか一方は省略可能である。また、光ネットワーク12の出力の光信号測定器22Bと、光ネットワーク13の入力の光信号測定器21Cのいずれか一方も省略可能である。
 上位制御部30は、光ネットワークシステム100の全体を管理するために設けられている。上位制御部30は、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fとの間で通信できる。また、上位制御部30は各光ネットワークの制御部25A,25B,25Cとの間でそれぞれ通信できる。
<特徴的な機能>
 図5の光ネットワークシステム100に含まれる特徴的な機能を図6に示す。
 図6に示すように、光ネットワークシステム100は、エラー情報伝達部41、光信号品質測定部42A、42Bを備えている。更に制御部25A,25B,25Cは、異常識別部43が配置されている。
 エラー情報伝達部41は、例えば図5中に示した上位制御部30に配置される。エラー情報伝達部41は、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fで検出されたエラーの情報を各光ネットワークの制御部25A,25B,25Cに伝達する機能を有している。
 光信号品質測定部42Aは、例えば図5中に示した光信号測定器21Aに配置され、光ネットワーク11の入力で測定した光信号品質の情報を取得し、異常識別部43に通知する機能を有する。また、光信号品質測定部42Bは、例えば図5中に示した光信号測定器22Aに配置され、光ネットワーク11の出力で測定した光信号品質の情報を取得し、異常識別部43に通知する機能を有する。また、上記光信号品質測定部42A、42Bと同様の機能が、光ネットワーク12,13のそれぞれにも備わっている。
 異常識別部43は、例えば図5中に示した制御部25Aに配置され、光信号品質測定部42A,42Bが取得した光信号品質の情報に基づいて、光ネットワーク11における異常の有無を識別する機能を有する。同様に、制御部25B、25Cにも、各光ネットワーク12,13における異常の有無を識別する異常識別部43が配置されている。
 光ネットワークシステム100において、光ネットワーク11,12,13のいずれかの箇所で光伝送路等の故障が発生すると、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fは受信した光信号を変換して得た電気信号を復調した結果に基づきエラーを検知する。トランスポンダ15Fが検知したエラーは、エラー情報伝達部41を介して各光ネットワークの制御部25A,25B,25Cに通知される。
 この場合、光ネットワーク11においては、光信号品質測定部42A,42Bが取得した光ネットワーク11の入出力における光信号品質に基づいて、異常識別部43が光ネットワーク11の異常の有無を識別する。同様に、他の光ネットワーク12,13についても異常識別部43が異常の有無を識別できる。したがって、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fで検知されたエラーの原因が光ネットワーク11,12,13のいずれに起因するのかを特定できる。
<特徴的な動作>
 図5、図6の光ネットワークシステム100における特徴的な動作を図7に示す。図7に示した動作について以下に説明する。
 上位制御部30のエラー情報伝達部41は、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fとの間で通信し、トランスポンダ15Fにおけるエラーの発生状況を把握する(ステップS11)。そして、各制御部25A,25B,25Cは、エラー発生を検知したか否かを判定する(ステップS12)。トランスポンダ15Fのエラー発生を検知すると(Yes)、処理はステップS13に進む。トランスポンダ15Fのエラー発生を検知しないと(No)、図7の処理は修了する。
 ステップS13で、光信号測定器21A,22Aは、それぞれ光ネットワーク11の入出力における光信号品質を測定する。また、光信号品質測定部42A、42Bが光ネットワーク11の入出力における光信号品質の情報を取得して異常識別部43に通知する。
 上記と同様に、光信号測定器21B,22Bはそれぞれ光ネットワーク12の入出力における光信号品質を測定する。光信号測定器21C,22Cはそれぞれ光ネットワーク13の入出力における光信号品質を測定する。各光ネットワーク12,13の異常識別部43は、当該光ネットワークの入出力における光信号品質の情報を取得する。
 異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク毎に測定した入力の光信号品質から出力の光信号品質を推定する(ステップS14)。異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク毎に、出力における光信号品質の測定値と推定値とを比較して異常の有無を識別する(ステップS15)。
 上位制御部30が、各光ネットワークの異常識別部43における比較結果をそれぞれ取得して、故障箇所を特定する(ステップS16)。例えば異常識別部43の比較結果が、光ネットワーク11,12、及び13のそれぞれについて「異常無し」、「異常有り」、及び「異常無し」であれば、上位制御部30は、故障箇所が光ネットワーク12内にある状況を認識する。そして、ステップS16を終了すると、図7の処理は終了する。
<変形例-1>
 変形例-1の光ネットワークシステム100Aの構成を図8に示す。図8の光ネットワークシステム100Aの構成について以下に説明する。
 光ネットワークシステム100Aは、光ネットワーク11を管理する制御部51と、光ネットワーク12を管理する制御部52と、光ネットワーク13を管理する制御部53とを備えている。各光ネットワークの制御部51,52,53は、お互いの間でデータ通信する機能および前述の異常識別部43の機能を有している。また、制御部53は、前述のエラー情報伝達部41に相当する機能を内蔵している。
 したがって、図8に示した光ネットワークシステム100Aは図5、図6に示した光ネットワークシステム100と同様に動作できる。すなわち、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fがエラーを検知すると、そのエラー情報が制御部53内のエラー情報伝達部41を経由して各制御部51,52,53内の異常識別部43に通知される。また、各制御部51,52,53内の異常識別部43が検知した「異常有り」の情報を各光ネットワーク11,12,13がお互いに共有できるので、光ネットワーク全体の中で故障が発生している箇所を容易に特定できる。
<変形例-2>
 変形例-2の光ネットワークシステム100Bの構成を図9に示す。図9の光ネットワークシステム100Bの構成について以下に説明する。
 図9の光ネットワークシステム100Bにおいては、トランスポンダ15Fから光ネットワーク11の入力までの間に、各光伝送路14A,14B,14Cに沿って光折り返し経路64が形成されている。光折り返し経路64は、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fの箇所で、トランスポンダ15Fが受信した光信号を折り返して送信元側に戻すための復路であり、専用の光ファイバ、又は光伝送路14A,14B,14Cと共通の光ファイバにより構成される。
 トランスポンダ15Fが光折り返し経路64に送り出す光信号は、トランスポンダ15Fが受信した光信号を復調した結果から得られたエラー情報を含むように変調し、新たに生成した光信号である。
 各光ネットワーク11,12,13の入出力に接続された各光信号測定器65A,66A,65B,66B,65C,66Cは、それぞれ光折り返し経路64で送り返された光信号を受信して電気信号に変換し、この電気信号を復調することで、送信されたトランスポンダ15Fのエラー情報を把握できる。
 光ネットワーク11を管理する制御部61内の異常識別部43は、トランスポンダ15Fのエラー情報を光信号測定器65Aから取得し、光信号測定器65A、66Aにおける光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、異常の有無を識別する。
 同様に、光ネットワーク12を管理する制御部62内の異常識別部43は、トランスポンダ15Fのエラー情報を光信号測定器65Bから取得し、光信号測定器65B、66Bにおける光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、異常の有無を識別する。
 光ネットワーク13を管理する制御部63内の異常識別部43は、トランスポンダ15Fのエラー情報を光信号測定器65Cから取得し、光信号測定器65C、66Cにおける光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、異常の有無を識別する。
<変形例-3>
 変形例-3の光ネットワークシステム100Cの構成を図10に示す。図10の光ネットワークシステム100Cの構成について以下に説明する。
 図10の光ネットワークシステム100Cにおいては、前述の網間接続部16、17など、複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13の境界位置に光信号測定器21がそれぞれ接続してある。
 したがって、光ネットワークシステム100Cにおいても、光ネットワーク11を管理する制御部25Aの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク11の入力側と出力側のそれぞれに存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク11の入力および出力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。そして、これらの光信号品質の測定値に基づいて異常識別部43は光ネットワーク11における異常の有無を識別できる。
 同様に、光ネットワーク12を管理する制御部25Bの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク12の入力側と出力側のそれぞれに存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク12の入力および出力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。そして、これらの光信号品質の測定値に基づいて異常識別部43は光ネットワーク12における異常の有無を識別できる。
 光ネットワーク13を管理する制御部25Cの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク13の入力側と出力側のそれぞれに存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク13の入力および出力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。そして、これらの光信号品質の測定値に基づいて異常識別部43は光ネットワーク13における異常の有無を識別できる。
<変形例-4>
 変形例-4の光ネットワークシステム100Dの構成を図11に示す。図11の光ネットワークシステム100Dの構成について以下に説明する。
 図11の光ネットワークシステム100Dにおいては、複数の光ネットワーク11,12,13のそれぞれの入力の位置に光信号測定器21が接続してある。
 したがって、光ネットワークシステム100Dにおいても、光ネットワーク11を管理する制御部25Aの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク11の入力側に存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク11の入力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。また、光ネットワーク11の出力における光信号品質の測定値については、下流の光ネットワーク12の入力側に接続された光信号測定器21の測定値を、制御部25Bを経由して取得することが可能である。そして、光ネットワーク11の入出力における光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、制御部25A内の異常識別部43は光ネットワーク11における異常の有無を識別できる。
 同様に、光ネットワーク12を管理する制御部25Bの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク12の入力側に存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク12の入力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。また、光ネットワーク12の出力における光信号品質の測定値については、下流の光ネットワーク13の入力側に接続された光信号測定器21の測定値を、制御部25Cを経由して取得することが可能である。そして、光ネットワーク12の入出力における光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、制御部25B内の異常識別部43は光ネットワーク12における異常の有無を識別できる。
 光ネットワーク13を管理する制御部25Cの異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク13の入力側に存在する光信号測定器21から、光ネットワーク13の入力における光信号品質の測定値を取得できる。また、光ネットワーク13の出力における光信号品質の測定値については、下流のトランスポンダ15Fが検出した光信号品質の測定値を、上位制御部30を経由して取得することが可能である。そして、光ネットワーク13の入出力における光信号品質の測定値に基づいて、制御部25C内の異常識別部43は光ネットワーク13における異常の有無を識別できる。
<光ネットワークシステムの光伝送路と光信号測定器の接続例>
-<接続例-1>
 光ネットワークシステムの光伝送路と光信号測定器の接続例-1を図12に示す。
 図12に示した例では、2つのトランスポンダ15X,15Yを接続している光伝送路14の途中にカプラ71が接続してある。また、カプラ71で分岐された光伝送路の光ファイバ72に光信号測定器21が接続してある。
 したがって、光伝送路14を通過する光信号の伝送に大きな影響を及ぼすことなく、分岐された光信号について光信号品質を光信号測定器21で測定できる。
 図12に示した接続方法を例えば図5に示した光ネットワークシステム100に適用する場合には、光伝送路14Aの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれカプラ71を配置して、これらのカプラ71に光ファイバ72を介して各光信号測定器21A,22Aを接続することが想定される。同様に、光伝送路14Bの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれカプラ71を配置して、これらのカプラ71に光ファイバ72を介して各光信号測定器21B,22Bを接続することが想定される。更に、光伝送路14Cの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれカプラ71を配置して、これらのカプラ71に光ファイバ72を介して各光信号測定器21C,22Cを接続することが想定される。
-<接続例-2>
 光ネットワークシステムの光伝送路と光信号測定器の接続例-2を図13に示す。
 図13に示した例では、2つのトランスポンダ15X,15Yを接続している光伝送路14の途中に全光波長変換器73が接続してある。全光波長変換器73は、入力される光信号に基づいて、波長変換後の光信号と、波長変換前と同じ波長の元波長光の両方の光信号を互いに分離して出力できる。
 全光波長変換器73が分離した2つの波長の光信号のうち、伝送に使用する光成分は下流側の光伝送路14を経由してトランスポンダ15Yに入力する。また、全光波長変換器73が分離した2つの波長の光信号のうち、伝送に使用しない光成分は、伝送用とは別の光ファイバ74を経由して光信号測定器21に入力する。
 したがって、光伝送路14を通過する光信号の伝送に大きな影響を及ぼすことなく、全光波長変換器73から出力される光信号により光信号品質を光信号測定器21で測定できる。
 図13に示した接続方法を例えば図5に示した光ネットワークシステム100に適用する場合には、光伝送路14Aの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれ全光波長変換器73を配置して、これらの全光波長変換器73に光ファイバ74を介して各光信号測定器21A,22Aを接続することが想定される。同様に、光伝送路14Bの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれ全光波長変換器73を配置して、これらの全光波長変換器73に光ファイバ74を介して各光信号測定器21B,22Bを接続することが想定される。更に、光伝送路14Cの入口および出口の箇所にそれぞれ全光波長変換器73を配置して、これらの全光波長変換器73に光ファイバ74を介して各光信号測定器21C,22Cを接続することが想定される。
<取得する光信号品質の具体例>
 光ネットワークシステム100が利用する光信号品質に関しては、光伝送路上の各経由地点における信号品質の変化を知る必要がある。したがって、光信号を復調した後で得られるエラーカウントよりも詳細に信号品質を把握可能なパラメータを利用する必要がある。
 そこで、例えば図5中に示した各光信号測定器21A,22A、21B、22B、21C、22Cは、光信号品質としてPreFEC-BER、Q値、GSNRの少なくとも1つを取得できるように構成する。
 PreFEC-BERは、エラー訂正する前のビットエラーレート、FECは前方誤り訂正(Forward Error Correction)を意味する。既存の光信号測定器を利用することでPreFEC-BERを測定することが可能である。
 例えば雑音などの影響でバイナリ信号の「1」と「0」の振幅にばらつきが生じる。その広がりの大きさ(標準偏差)と平均振幅の差からQ(Quality factor)値を定義することが可能である。
 光信号品質のQ値は、次の式(1)に基づいて、PreFEC-BERのエラー値(BER)から換算し取得できる。
 光信号品質のGSNR値は、例えば図14に示した事前取得データ81を利用して、Q値から換算して求めることができる。
 図14に示した事前取得データ81は、光ネットワークシステム100の光伝送路上で事前に実際に測定して得たOSNR(光信号対雑音比:Optical Signal to Noise Ratio)対Q値特性82を表すデータである。
 図14の事前取得データ81を利用する場合、測定したQ値が20.3[dB]であれば、OSNR対Q値特性82に基づき、GSNR値として21.2[dB]が得られる。
<光ネットワーク上の異常発生箇所を把握するための具体的な処理>
-<処理例-1>
 異常発生箇所を把握するための具体的な処理例-1を図15に示す。図15に示した処理は、図7中の各ステップS13~S15の詳細な内容に相当する。図15に示した処理について以下に説明する。
 例えば図6中に示した異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク11の入力における光信号品質の測定値Dinを光信号品質測定部42Aから取得する(ステップS21)。
 異常識別部43は、ステップS21で取得した光信号品質の測定値Dinと、光ネットワーク11の入力から出力までの間の光信号の伝送ルートとに基づいて、光ネットワーク11の出力における光信号品質の推定値D1を取得する(ステップS22)。例えば非特許文献1に示された技術を利用したツールの入力に、測定値Dinと伝送ルートの情報を与えることにより、GSNRを表す光信号品質の推定値D1を取得できる。
 次に異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク11の出力における光信号品質の測定値D2を光信号品質測定部42Bから取得する(ステップS23)。
 異常識別部43は、推定値D1と測定値D2との差分(D1-D2)を閾値と比較する(ステップS24)。そして異常識別部43は、差分(D1-D2)を閾値と比較した結果から、光信号品質の劣化が大きいか否かを判定する(ステップS25)。そして、光信号品質の劣化が大きい場合(Yes)、異常識別部43が光ネットワーク11における「異常有り」を検知すると(ステップS26)、図7の処理は終了する。光信号品質の劣化が小さい場合(No)、図7の処理は終了する。
 他の光ネットワーク12,13の異常識別部43においても、上記と同様の動作がそれぞれ実施される。したがって、複数の光ネットワーク11~13のいずれの内部で異常が発生しているのかを特定できる。
-<処理例-2>
 異常発生箇所を把握するための具体的な処理例-2を図16に示す。図16に示した処理について以下に説明する。
 光ネットワークシステム100の通信サービスを実際に開始する前の疎通確認正常時に、各光ネットワーク11~13の光信号品質測定部42Bは、ステップS31を実行する。各光ネットワーク11~13の光信号品質測定部42Bは、各光ネットワーク11~13の出力における光信号品質の例えばQ値を実際に測定し、これを光信号品質の正常値D20として光ネットワーク毎に登録し保持する(ステップS31)。
 伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fは、エラー発生を把握し(ステップS32)、エラーが有るか否かを判定する(ステップS33)。
 ステップS33にて伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fがエラー発生を検知した場合(Yes)、処理はステップS34に進む。ステップS34では、各光ネットワーク11~13の光信号品質測定部42Bは、各光ネットワーク11~13の出力における光信号品質の例えばQ値を実際に測定し、これを現在の光信号品質の測定値D2とする。
 異常識別部43は、正常値D20と測定値D2との差分(D20-D2)を閾値と比較する(ステップS35)。そして、異常識別部43は、差分(D20-D2)を閾値と比較した結果から、光信号品質の劣化が大きいか否かを判定する(ステップS36)。そして、光ネットワーク11の出力で光信号品質の劣化が大きい場合(Yes)、異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク11における「異常有り」を検知する(ステップS37)。また、光ネットワーク12の出力で光信号品質の劣化が大きい場合(Yes)、異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク12における「異常有り」を検知する(ステップS37)。光ネットワーク13の出力で光信号品質の劣化が大きい場合(Yes)、異常識別部43は、光ネットワーク13における「異常有り」を検知する(ステップS37)。したがって、複数の光ネットワーク11~13のいずれの内部で故障が発生しているのかを特定できる。
-<処理例-3>
 異常発生箇所を把握するための具体的な処理例-3を図17に示す。図17に示した処理について以下に説明する。
 各光ネットワーク11~13の光信号品質測定部42Bは、各光ネットワーク11~13の出力における最新の光信号品質の測定値(例えばQ値)D1を常時繰り返し取得する(ステップS41)。そして、光信号品質測定部42Bは、エラー有りを検出したか否かを判定する(ステップS42)。
 伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fがエラーを検出しなかったとき(No)、処理はステップS43に進み、光信号品質測定部42Bは、最新の測定値D1を正常時の光信号品質Drefとして保持する。
 一方、伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fがエラーを検知すると(Yes)、処理はステップS44に進む。そして、各光ネットワーク11~13の異常識別部43は、トランスポンダ15Fがエラーを検知していないときとエラーを検知したときの測定値の変化分、すなわち最新の測定値D1と正常時の光信号品質Drefとの差分を閾値と比較する(ステップS44)。
 ステップS44における比較の結果、異常識別部43は、光信号品質の劣化が大きいか否かを判定する(ステップS45)。光信号品質の劣化が大きいならば(Yes)、処理はステップS46の処理に進み、異常識別部43は、該当する光ネットワークの「異常有り」を検知する。光信号品質の劣化が小さいならば(No)、図17の処理は終了する。
 光信号品質を表すQ値の変化例を図18に示す。図18に示したように、エラー発生時刻t0で光信号品質のQ値は急激に低下することが一般的に想定される。したがって、図17に示した処理においては、エラー発生時刻t0の直後にトランスポンダ15Fがエラー発生を検知して処理がステップS42からS44に進み、測定値の変動分(D1-Dref)が大きいため、異常識別部43がステップS46で「異常有り」を検知する。
<変形例-5>
 変形例-5の光ネットワークシステム100Eの構成を図19に示す。
 図19の光ネットワークシステム100Eにおいては、共通の事業者が管理している複数の光ネットワーク11A,12A,13Aを互いに接続した状況を想定している。この場合は、複数の光ネットワーク11A,12A,13Aを同じ事業者が管理しているので、複数の光ネットワーク11A~13Aの全体を1つの制御部91だけで管理できる。この制御部91は、図6に示したエラー情報伝達部41、及び光ネットワーク毎の異常識別部43の機能を有している。
 図19の例では、光信号測定器21が各光ネットワーク11A,12A,13Aの入力と、光ネットワーク13Aの出力に接続されている。したがって、制御部91は伝送先のトランスポンダ15Fでエラーが発生した場合に、複数の光ネットワーク11A~13Aのいずれの箇所で故障が発生しているのかを特定できる。
<光ネットワークシステムの特徴>
 本発明の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム及び故障範囲特定方法に関する特徴的な事項について、以下の[1]~[8]に列挙する。
[1]それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワーク(11~13)が互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所(網間接続部16,17)で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定システムであって、
 伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達するエラー情報伝達部(41)と、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質を測定する光信号品質測定部(42A,42B)と、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて、入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とに基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する異常識別部(43)と、
 を備える光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[1]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて異常の有無を識別できるので、故障が発生した箇所を容易に特定できる。
[2]前記異常識別部(43)は、各光ネットワークの入力から出力までの伝送ルートと、前記第1の光信号品質(測定値Din)とに基づいて推定した当該光ネットワークの出力の光信号品質を前記第2の光信号品質(推定値D1)として取得し(ステップS22)、前記第2の光信号品質と、同じ箇所で検知した光信号品質の測定値(D2)との違いに基づき光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する(ステップS24,S25)、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[2]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、各光ネットワークの入力から出力までの伝送ルートが変動するような状況であっても、最新の伝送ルートに基づいて推定した正しい光信号品質を前記第2の光信号品質としてその都度取得できる。したがって、正常時の光信号品質を表す多数のデータを事前に保持しなくても、異常の有無を容易に識別できる。
[3]前記異常識別部(43)は、各光ネットワークの出力における疎通確認正常時の光信号品質を事前に測定して正常値として保持し(ステップS31)、伝送先でエラーが検知された後で各光ネットワークの出力における光信号品質の最新の測定値を取得し(ステップS34)、前記測定値と前記正常値との違いに基づき光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する(ステップS35,S36)、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[3]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、光信号品質の最新の測定値と事前に保持している正常値とを比較するので、光ネットワーク毎に異常の有無を容易に識別できる。
[4]前記異常識別部(43)は、各光ネットワークの出力における光信号品質の測定を常時繰り返し(ステップS41)、前記光信号品質の測定値の変動を監視し(ステップS44)、前記光信号品質の測定値が大きく低下したことを検知した場合に、該当する光ネットワークの異常有を検知する(ステップS45,S46)、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[4]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、光信号品質の測定値の経時変化を監視するので、故障発生により光信号品質が急激に低下したような場合に、故障発生有無を光ネットワーク毎に容易に識別できる。
[5]前記異常識別部(43)は、光信号品質のOSNR値とQ値との対応関係を表す特性データ(事前取得データ81)を事前に取得して保持し、前記光信号品質測定部で測定して得た光信号品質のQ値に基づき、前記特性データを利用して光信号品質のGSNR値を算出する、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[5]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、測定値から換算した光信号品質のGSNR値に基づいて、光ネットワーク毎に異常の有無を容易に識別できる。
[6]前記各光信号品質測定部(42A,42B)は、伝送する光信号が通過する光伝送路の途中に配置したカプラ(71)、または全光波長変換器(73)を利用して抽出した光信号の品質を測定する、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[6]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、伝送する光信号に減衰などの大きな影響を及ぼすことなく、光伝送路の途中における光信号品質を容易に測定できる。
[7]前記複数の光ネットワークの光伝送路は、情報の伝送先に届いた光信号を反対側に折り返して前記各光信号品質測定部(42A,42B)の位置まで届ける光折り返し経路(64)を有する、
 上記[1]に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
 上記[7]の構成の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システムによれば、前記複数の光ネットワークの制御部同士の間を接続する特別なデータ通信回線を用意しなくても、各光ネットワークの制御部は、ネットワーク上の他の箇所で発生したエラーを把握できる。
[8]それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワークが互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定方法であって、
 伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達し、
 前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質をそれぞれ測定し、
 前記伝送先でエラーが検知された際に、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とを取得し、前記第1の光信号品質および前記第2の光信号品質に基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する、
 光ネットワークの故障範囲特定方法。
 上記[8]の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定方法によれば、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて異常の有無を識別できるので、故障が発生した箇所を容易に特定できる。

Claims (8)

  1.  それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワークが互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定システムであって、
     伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達するエラー情報伝達部と、
     前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質を測定する光信号品質測定部と、
     前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて、入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とに基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する異常識別部と、
     を備える光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  2.  前記異常識別部は、各光ネットワークの入力から出力までの伝送ルートと、前記第1の光信号品質とに基づいて推定した当該光ネットワークの出力の光信号品質を前記第2の光信号品質として取得し、前記第2の光信号品質と、同じ箇所で検知した光信号品質の測定値との違いに基づき光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  3.  前記異常識別部は、各光ネットワークの出力における疎通確認正常時の光信号品質を事前に測定して正常値として保持し、伝送先でエラーが検知された後で各光ネットワークの出力における光信号品質の最新の測定値を取得し、前記測定値と前記正常値との違いに基づき光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  4.  前記異常識別部は、各光ネットワークの出力における光信号品質の測定を常時繰り返し、前記光信号品質の測定値の変動を監視し、前記光信号品質の測定値が大きく低下したことを検知した場合に、該当する光ネットワークの異常有を検知する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  5.  前記異常識別部は、光信号品質のOSNR値とQ値との対応関係を表す特性データを事前に取得して保持し、前記光信号品質測定部で測定して得た光信号品質のQ値に基づき、前記特性データを利用して光信号品質のGSNR値を算出する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  6.  前記各光信号品質測定部は、伝送する光信号が通過する光伝送路の途中に配置したカプラ、または全光波長変換器を利用して抽出した光信号の品質を測定する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  7.  前記複数の光ネットワークの光伝送路は、情報の伝送先に届いた光信号を反対側に折り返して前記各光信号品質測定部の位置まで届ける光折り返し経路を有する、
     請求項1に記載の光ネットワークの故障範囲特定システム。
  8.  それぞれが光信号の形態で情報を伝送する複数の光ネットワークが互いに接続され、前記複数の光ネットワークの間の接続箇所で光信号の形態を維持したままで信号の受け渡しを実施する光ネットワークシステムを診断対象とする故障範囲特定方法であって、
     伝送先で検知されたエラーの情報を前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれに伝達し、
     前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれの入力箇所、もしくは前記複数の光ネットワークの境界箇所で光信号品質をそれぞれ測定し、
     前記伝送先でエラーが検知された際に、前記複数の光ネットワークのそれぞれについて入力で測定した第1の光信号品質と、出力で測定又は推定した第2の光信号品質とを取得し、前記第1の光信号品質および前記第2の光信号品質に基づいて光ネットワーク毎の異常の有無を識別する、
