【課題】軸とすべり軸受で構成される軸受機構において、低回転時のような潤滑油の供給が極端に少ない状況下であっても、フリクションを低減しつつ、油保持性を維持して高回転摺動時の耐焼き付け性を向上させること。 【解決手段】潤滑油30の存在下で回転摺動する軸10と、軸10よりも低硬度なすべり軸受20と、で構成され、軸10の摺動面11には、周方向全周にわたって所定の間隔で配置された凹部40を有する油保持領域Aと、周方向全周にわたって連続する平坦面が存在する受圧領域Bと、を有し、油保持領域Aと受圧領域Bは、軸10の長軸方向(中心軸Cに沿う方向)に交互に配置され、油保持領域Aの周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW1と、受圧領域Bの周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW2との関係がW2/W1≧2となる。

Description

軸受機構
 本発明は、軸受機構に関する。
 従来から、例えば自動車用のエンジン部品等の機械部品として利用される軸受機構は、構成部品の摺動面に微細な凹部を設けて油膜形成を安定化することでフリクションの低減を図っている。
 特許文献1には、フリクション低減効果を有効に得るため、潤滑油が介在されて互いに摺動する摺動面を有する一対の摺動部材の少なくとも一方の摺動面に少なくとも2つの近接する微細な凹部からなるテクスチャ群を複数形成し、凹部は、摺動方向又は潤滑油の流れる方向に互いに重なる部位を有し、テクスチャ群同士の間隔は、近接する凹部同士の間隔よりも大きく、かつ摺動面に一様に分布された低摩擦摺動部材について開示されている。
特開2007-225105号公報
 軸の外周面に潤滑油の供給源となる凹部が形成された軸受機構において、低回転時等のオイル供給が極端に少ない状況下においてフリクションを低く保つためには、油溜まりとなる凹部を増設する必要がある。しかし、フリクションを低減させるために凹部の数を増加させると、油膜切れを防止する効果は得られるが、その反面、軸の受圧部分の面積が低減して荷重が高くなるため、高速摺動時に焼付き易くなるという課題が生じる。
 本発明の少なくとも一実施形態は、上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、具体的には、軸とすべり軸受で構成される軸受機構において、低回転時のような潤滑油の供給が極端に少ない状況下であっても、フリクションを低減しつつ、油保持性を維持して高回転摺動時の耐焼き付け性を向上させることにある。
 本発明の上記目的は、下記(1)~(6)の何れか1つによって達成される。
 (1)潤滑油の存在下で回転摺動する軸と、前記軸よりも低硬度なすべり軸受と、で構成される軸受機構であって、前記軸の摺動面には、周方向全周にわたって所定の間隔で配置された凹部を有する油保持領域と、周方向全周にわたって連続する平坦面が存在する受圧領域と、を有し、前記油保持領域と前記受圧領域は、前記軸の長軸方向に交互に配置され、前記油保持領域の周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW1と、前記受圧領域の周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW2との関係がW2/W1≧2となる、軸受機構。
 (2)前記凹部は、摺動方向に対して垂直な方向が長い、上記(1)の軸受機構。
 (3)前記凹部の前記摺動面における占める面積率は、0.19%以上0.49%以下である、上記(1)又は(2)の軸受機構。
 (4)前記凹部の深さは、15μm以下である、上記(1)~(3)の何れかの軸受機構。
 (5)軸方向で隣り合う前記油保持領域の前記凹部は、軸方向で重ならないように配置される、上記(1)~(4)の何れかの軸受機構。
 (6)前記凹部は、前記油保持領域内で周方向に等間隔で配置され、隣り合う油保持領域における周方向の凹部間の中点位置と軸方向で揃うように配置される、上記(1)~(5)の何れかの軸受機構。
 本発明の少なくとも一実施形態によれば、軸とすべり軸受で構成される軸受機構において、低回転時のような潤滑油の供給が極端に少ない状況下であっても、フリクションを低減しつつ、油保持性を維持して高回転摺動時の耐焼き付け性を向上させることができる。

 以下、本発明を実施するための形態について、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。ここで示す実施形態は、本発明の技術的思想を具体化するために例示するものであって、本発明を限定するものではない。また、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で当業者等により考え得る実施可能な他の形態、実施例及び運用技術等は全て本発明の範囲、要旨に含まれると共に、特許請求の範囲に記載された発明とその均等の範囲に含まれる。
 さらに、本明細書に添付する図面は、図示と理解のし易さの便宜上、適宜縮尺、縦横の寸法比、形状等について、実物から変更し模式的に表現される場合があるが、あくまで一例であって、本発明の解釈を限定するものではない。
 図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る軸受機構100は、潤滑油30の存在下で回転摺動する軸10と、軸10より低硬度なすべり軸受20と、で構成される。
 軸10は、図2に示すように、表面に油保持領域Aと、受圧領域Bと、を有する。油保持領域Aと受圧領域Bは、それぞれ軸10の周方向全周にわたって連続し、軸10の長軸方向に対して交互に配置される。軸10は、中心軸Cを軸心として回転摺動する。なお、図1において、軸10の長軸方向は、中心軸Cに沿う方向と一致する。
 油保持領域Aは、軸10に設定された所定の領域であって、軸10の周方向全周にわたって所定の間隔を空けて複数の凹部40が形成される。
 凹部40は、軸10の摺動方向に対して垂直な方向が長い。換言すると、凹部40は、軸10の長軸方向に沿う長さを長手方向とし、軸10の周方向に沿う長さを短手方向とする長方形をなす。これにより、凹部40は、例えば同じ面積率の4辺を同じ長さとした構成や、軸10の摺動方向に長い長方形とした構成と比べて、軸10の表面に対する軸方向への潤滑油30の供給が容易となる。凹部40の長手方向の長さは、油保持領域Aの幅W1と一致する。
 凹部40は、潤滑油の供給安定性の観点から、深さ2μm以上15μm以下とするのが好ましい。凹部40は、深さが15μmを超えると、摺動時に凹部40のエッジ部分での油膜厚さが小さくなりすぎて焼き付きが生じ易くなると共に、受圧領域Bに潤滑油30を円滑に供給し難くなる。
 油保持領域Aにおける凹部40の周方向の間隔dは、軸10の表面に対する潤滑油30の供給安定性の観点から、周方向に等間隔で配置するのが好ましい。
 油保持領域Aに形成される凹部40の周方向に対する形成位置は、軸10の長軸方向で隣り合う油保持領域Aに形成された凹部40と軸方向で重ならないように、周方向に所定距離ずらして配置される。これにより、油保持領域Aは、軸10の油供給能力を向上させて油膜切れが防止できる。そのため、軸受機構100は、低回転時等の潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ないような状況であってもフリクションが低減される。
 凹部40は、油保持領域A内で周方向に等間隔で配置され、隣り合う油保持領域Aにおける周方向の凹部間の中点位置Pと軸方向で揃うように配置するのが好ましい。すなわち、油保持領域Aにおける凹部40の配置は、図2に示すように、各油保持領域Aの凹部の周方向の間隔dを均等に揃え、軸方向で隣り合う油保持領域Aの凹部40の間隔dを半分ずらして配置するのが好ましい。これにより、軸10の表面には、図2に示すように、長軸方向に対して凹部40が千鳥状に均等配置される。したがって、軸受機構100は、軸10全体を通して均等に潤滑油30の供給が可能となるため、油膜切れをより効果的に防止することができる。
 受圧領域Bは、軸10の表面に設定された所定の領域であって、軸10の周方向全周にわたって連続した平坦部のみで形成される。すなわち、受圧領域Bは、油保持領域Aのように凹部40等の凹凸構造は一切形成されず、軸10の外表面のみが存在する。
 受圧領域Bは、周方向全周にわたって平坦部を有するため、軸10の全周で受圧面積が確保できると共に、部分的に大きな油圧変動が生じ難い。そのため、軸受機構100は、高速摺動時であっても油圧変動による部分的な油膜の薄膜化が抑制され、焼付きが防止される。
 軸受機構100は、油保持領域Aの軸方向の幅W1と、受圧領域Bの軸方向の幅W2の関係が、W2/W1≧2の寸法関係である。W2/W1は、油保持性と高速摺動時の焼付き防止の観点から2以上3以下とするのがより好ましい。このような構成とすることで、低温で潤滑油30が供給されない場合や、潤滑油30の油量が減った場合等、潤滑油30の供給量が極端に低下した場合においても、フリクションを低減させつつ高速摺動時の焼付きが防止できる。
 軸受機構100は、軸10の摺動面11における凹部40の面積率は、0.19%以上0.49%以下であり、好ましくは0.19%以上0.36%以下である。これにより、メタル背面温度を効果的に低減させ、高速摺動時における耐焼付き性を向上させることができる。
 前記面積率は、軸10の摺動面の面積S1に対する凹部40の面積S2の割合である。図3は、前記面積率の算出方法の一例を示した図である。図3に示すように、軸10の摺動面11の一部を切り出し、油保持領域Aの幅W1(凹部40の長手方向の長さにも相当)を「a」、受圧領域Bの幅W2を「b」、凹部40の短手方向の長さ(周方向に沿う長さ)を「c」、隣り合う油保持領域Aにおいて周方向に近接する凹部40の間の長さを「d」としたとき、式1「a×c/2(a+b)×(c+d)」により算出することができる(図3を参照)。式中の「a+c」は凹部40の面積、「2(a+b)×(c+d)」は対象とする凹部40を基準として軸方向及び周方向に配置された凹部40で画成された摺動面11の領域の面積を表す。
 図4A、図4Bは、本実施形態の軸受機構100の実施条件を満たしていない従来品の形態が示されている。図4Aに示す形態は、軸方向で隣り合う油保持領域Aに形成される凹部40が軸方向で揃っている。このような形態の場合、図中の点線部分等の摺動面11において軸方向に凹部40が存在しない領域への潤滑油30の供給が滞って十分な油膜が形成されず、高速摺動時に焼付きが生じ易い。また、図4Bに示す形態は、受圧領域Bが軸10の周方向に不連続となる。このような形態の場合、図4Aに示した形態と同様、油膜形成が不安定となり、高速摺動時に焼付きが生じ易い。このように、従来品は、低回転時等の潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ない状況の場合、油膜形成が不安定で高速摺動に対応できない。
 これに対し、本実施形態に係る軸受機構100は、図2に示すように、油保持領域Aに前述した条件(W2/W1の寸法関係、凹部40の面積率等)を満たす凹部40が形成されるため、低温で潤滑油30が供給されない場合や、潤滑油30の油量が減った場合等、潤滑油30の供給量が極端に低下した場合においても、回転摺動する軸10に潤滑油30の油運搬作用を持たせることができる。そのため、軸受機構100は、軸10の摺動面11の全周に潤滑油30を行き渡って安定した油膜形成が可能となるため、潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ない状況下でも、フリクション低減を図りつつ高速摺動時の焼付きが防止できる。
 すべり軸受20は、軸10よりも低硬度であり、軸10の外周面の少なくとも一部を覆って配置される。すべり軸受け20は、軸10とすべり軸受20との摺動面同士の接触を極力無くして接触発熱を抑制するため、表面粗さ(算出平均粗さRa)はRa0.12以下である。この算術平均粗さは、JIS (日本工業規格)B 0601:2001等に基づくものである。
 すべり軸受20は、潤滑油30を軸10の外表面に供給するための供給孔21が設けられている。供給孔21の孔形状、配置位置、配置数等は、特に制限されず、軸受機構100が適用される機械部品の仕様や潤滑油30の供給量等に応じて適宜設定できる。
 [作用効果]
 以上説明したように、本実施形態に係る軸受機構100は、潤滑油30の存在下で回転摺動する軸10と、軸10よりも低硬度なすべり軸受20と、で構成され、軸10の摺動面11には、周方向全周にわたって所定の間隔で配置された凹部40を有する油保持領域Aと、周方向全周にわたって連続する平坦面が存在する受圧領域Bと、を有し、油保持領域Aと受圧領域Bは、軸10の長軸方向(中心軸Cに沿う方向)に交互に配置され、油保持領域Aの周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW1と、受圧領域Bの周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW2との関係がW2/W1≧2となる。
 このような構成により、軸受機構100は、軸10の摺動面11の全周に潤滑油30を行き渡って安定した油膜形成が可能となるため、潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ない状況下であっても、フリクション低減を図りつつ高速摺動時の焼付きが防止できる。
 また、軸受機構100において、凹部40は、摺動方向に対して垂直な方向を長くしてもよい。
 このような構成により、凹部40は、軸10の表面に対する軸方向への潤滑油30の供給が容易となる。
 
 また、軸受機構100において、凹部40の摺動面11における面積率は、0.19%以上0.49%以下としてもよい。
 このような構成により、凹部40が形成される油保持領域Aの作用により、回転摺動する軸10に潤滑油30の油運搬作用を持たせることができる。また、受圧領域Bは、周方向全周にわたって平坦部を有する受圧領域Bの面積も十分確保できる。したがって、軸受機構100は、潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ない状況下においても潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ない状況下であっても、フリクション低減を図りつつメタル背面温度を効果的に低減させ、高速摺動時における耐焼付き性を向上させることができる。
 また、軸受機構100において、凹部40の深さは、15μm以下としてもよい。
 このような構成により、凹部40は、軸10の摺動面11全体にわたって潤滑油30を円滑に供給することができる。
 また、軸受機構100において、軸方向で隣り合う油保持領域Aの凹部40は、軸方向で重ならないように配置してもよい。
 このような構成により、油保持領域Aに形成される凹部は、摺動面11に対して一部に偏らないように配置されるため、軸10の油供給能力が向上して油膜切れが防止できる。したがって、軸受機構100は、低回転時等の潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ないような状況であってもフリクションを低減しつつ、高速摺動時の焼付きが防止できる。
 また、軸受機構100において、凹部40は、油保持領域A内で周方向に等間隔で配置され、隣り合う油保持領域Aにおける周方向の凹部40間の中点位置Pと軸方向で揃うように配置してもよい。
 このような構成により、軸10の摺動面11には、例えば図2に示すように、長軸方向に対して凹部40が千鳥状に均等に配置され、摺動面11に対して凹部40を一様に配置することができる。したがって、軸受機構100は、軸10全体を通して均等に潤滑油30の供給が可能となるため、油膜切れを効果的に防止され、低回転時等の潤滑油30の供給が極端に少ないような状況であってもフリクションの低減を図りつつ、高速摺動時の耐焼付き性がより向上し得る。
 以下、本発明を実施例により具体的に説明するが、本発明の範囲は下記の実施例に限定されるものではない。
 本発明の実施形態に係る軸受機構100となる実施例及び比較例について説明する。
 [サンプルの仕様]
 実施例1~実施例3、比較例1~比較例3の各サンプルは、以下の仕様とした。
 実施例1~実施例3、比較例2、比較例3は、図2に示すように油保持領域の凹部を軸方向に千鳥状に配置し、受圧領域は周方向全周にわたって連続する平坦部を有する形状とした。比較例1は、図4Bに示すように、油保持領域の凹部を軸方向で揃え、受圧領域は周方向に不連続な形状とした。
〈軸〉
・材料:S45Cのシャフト、φ52(52mm)
・表面硬度(ロックウェル硬さ):HRC50
・表面処理:高周波焼入れ焼戻し
・表面粗さ:Ra0.03(ラップ加工による)
・円筒度:0.05mm以内
〈すべり軸受〉
・材料:Al合金
・ハウジング径:φ55(55mm)
・クリアランス:40μm以下
・表面硬度:50-60Hv
・表面処理:なし
・表面粗さ:Ra0.12。
 実施例1~実施例3、比較例1~比較例3の各サンプルの凹部は、最大100W級のパルスファイバーレーザー発振器を用いて形成した。凹部形成時に照射したフェムト秒レーザーは、波長:1064nm、パルス幅:100ns、パルスエネルギー:1mJ、繰り返し周波数:40~80kHzとした。
 また、実施例1~実施例3、比較例1~比較例3の各サンプルの詳細な仕様(凹部のサイズ(長手及び短手方向の長さ、深さ)、周方向における凹部の形成間隔、油保持領域と受圧領域の幅及び比率、凹部の面積率等)については、図5に示す表にまとめた。
 [試験方法]
 実施例及び比較例は、下記に示す評価試験を実施し、メタル背面温度(すべり軸受の背面温度)を測定した。試験中に供給した潤滑油は、エンジンオイル(ILSAC規格:SN/GF-5、オイル粘度:5W-30)を使用した。
 〈試験装置〉
 試験装置200は、図6に示すように、軸10の両端を回転可能に支持する支持部材210と、すべり軸受20を介して軸10の中央部分に装着されるコンロッド220と、を備える。コンロッド220には、潤滑油30を供給するための供給口が設けられ、外部の供給部300と配管を通じて潤滑油30が供給可能に接続される。軸10は、図示しない駆動部による駆動力により、支持部材210に支持されたまますべり軸受20内を所定方向に回転摺動する。
 〈試験詳細〉
 評価試験は、試運転と、試験運転とを実施した。
・試運転は、静的荷重を掛けず、軸を周速約5m/s相当で数分間回転させた。
・試験運転として、試運転後に周速を約10m/s相当に上げ、コンロッド220に掛ける静的荷重を約4kN~5kN/数分間ずつ段階的に増加させて約40kN~50kN程度の静的荷重としたときのすべり軸受20の背面温度(メタル背面温度)を測定した。
・潤滑油は、試運転から試験運転終了時まで毎分100mlずつ供給した。
 試験結果は、図6及び図7の表に示す通りであった。
 [評価結果]
 図7は、上記評価試験の結果が示されている。図7のグラフは、縦軸を指定荷重到達時の各サンプルのメタル背面温度とし、横軸を保持領域の軸方向の長さW1と受圧領域の軸方向の長さW2の比率(W2/W1)とした。図7において、比較例1のW2/W1は「0」となるが、これは受圧領域が軸の周方向に不連続であることを示している。
 図7に示すように、実施例1のメタル背面温度は182℃、実施例2のメタル背面温度は181℃、実施例3のメタル背面温度172℃であり、各サンプルの油保持領域の軸方向の長さW1と受圧領域の軸方向の長さW2の関係は、実施例1はW2/W1=2、実施例2及び実施例3はW2/W1=3であった。これに対し、比較例1はメタル背面温度が209℃、W2/W1=0であり、比較例3はメタル背面温度が189℃、W2/W1=5であった。この試験結果は、油保持領域の軸方向の長さW1と受圧領域の軸方向の長さW2の関係がW2/W1≧2とすることが、メタル背面温度を低下させること、すなわちフリクション低減を図りつつ高速摺動時の焼付きを防止するのに有効であることを示している。
 図7に示すように、比較例2のメタル背面温度は189℃であり、W2/W1=3であり、面積率は0.70%であった。一方、実施例1の凹部の面積率は0.49%、実施例2の凹部の面積率は0.36%、実施例3の凹部の面積率は0.19%であった。この試験結果は、W2/W1≧2とすることに加え、摺動面に対する凹部の面積率が0.19%以上0.49%以下とすることが、メタル背面温度を低下させること、すなわちフリクション低減を図りつつ高速摺動時の焼付きを防止するのに有効であることを示している。
 実施例1と、実施例2及び実施例3とを比較すると、実施例1はW2/W1=2であるのに対し、実施例2及び実施例3は何れもW2/W1=3であった。この試験結果は、油保持領域の軸方向の長さW1と受圧領域の軸方向の長さW2の関係を2≦W2/W1≦3とすることが、フリクション低減及び高速摺動時の耐焼付き性の向上に有効的であることを示している。
 比較例1は、図4Bに示すような受圧領域が軸の周方向に不連続であり、凹部の配置が隣り合う油保持領域において軸方向で揃って配置されている。これに対し、実施例1~実施例3は、図2に示すように、受圧領域が、軸の周方向全周にわたって平坦部が連続し、油保持領域と受圧領域は軸方向に交互に配置し、凹部の配置を隣り合う油保持領域において軸方向で重ならないように配置されている。このことから、メタル背面温度の低減化を図る上で、前述した「油保持領域の軸方向の長さW1と受圧領域の軸方向の長さW2の関係」に加え、「受圧領域は、軸の周方向全周にわたって平坦部が連続すること」や「凹部の配置は、隣り合う油保持領域において軸方向で重ならないこと」も、油膜形成の安定化に寄与していることが確認された。

Claims (6)

  1.  潤滑油の存在下で回転摺動する軸と、前記軸よりも低硬度なすべり軸受と、で構成される軸受機構であって、
     前記軸の摺動面には、周方向全周にわたって所定の間隔で配置された凹部を有する油保持領域と、周方向全周にわたって連続する平坦面が存在する受圧領域と、を有し、
     前記油保持領域と前記受圧領域は、前記軸の長軸方向に交互に配置され、
     前記油保持領域の周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW1と、前記受圧領域の周方向と交差する軸方向の長さW2との関係がW2/W1≧2となる、軸受機構。
  2.  前記凹部は、摺動方向に対して垂直な方向が長い、請求項1に記載の軸受機構。
  3.  前記凹部の前記摺動面における面積率は、0.19%以上0.49%以下である、請求項1に記載の軸受機構。
  4.  前記凹部の深さは、15μm以下である、請求項1に記載の軸受機構。
  5.  軸方向で隣り合う前記油保持領域の前記凹部は、軸方向で重ならないように配置される、請求項1に記載の軸受機構。
  6.  前記凹部は、前記油保持領域内で周方向に等間隔で配置され、隣り合う油保持領域における周方向の凹部間の中点位置と軸方向で揃うように配置される、請求項1に記載の軸受機構。
