Abstract

The present invention relates to percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy with one valve port in patients who will use Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy set with enteral nutrition requirement, as a mechanism that provides ease of use, prevents back leakage of nutrients and gastric contents, eliminates the risk of infection caused by the set inlet remaining open, has a valve entrance and the feeding injector can provide nutrient input with direct pressure.

Description

PERCUTANEOUS ENDOSCOPIC GASTROSTOMY WITH VALVE PORT
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy with valve port.
State of the art
The provision of nutrients necessary for the development and survival of living organisms from outside is called nutrition. Nutritional supportive treatment under the supervision of a physician is defined as clinical nutrition. During the disease period, the organism becomes more susceptible to nutritional deficiency, as a result of which many health problems become easier to occur, and the decrease in body resistance has an increasing effect on morbidity and mortality rates.
Between 5-15% of people living their daily lives, 40% of hospitalized patients and 60% of people living in care homes are malnourished or at risk of malnutrition. Nutritional support by mouth or through a feeding tube inserted into the gastrointestinal tract is called enteral nutrition. Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy, one of the enteral nutrition methods, is a tube feeding method used in patients who cannot be fed orally.
There are problems when using percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy sets on the market, depending on the type of valve production. During the opening and closing of the valve, rupture, tear, cracking and consequent leakage of stomach contents and food may occur. In addition, in case of damage to the cover, a new set is used, as the cover part of this product is not sold alone on the market. This problem causes both patient victimization and increased costs. In addition, the use of such products creates difficulties for patients and their relatives.
In the state of the art, the Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Set with Valve Port is designed as a mechanism in which the valve is not designed to be opened-closed, but as a valve port and the nutritional injector provides nutrient input with direct pressure in order to eliminate these problems. In this way, the nutrient will not leak back and will prevent the risk of infection by eliminating the possibility of the set inlet remaining open.
As a result of the examination, it was observed that there was no sample of the Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy set with Valve Port. It is understood that this set can be launched as a promising new commercial product and that innovations in this regard will be needed even more in the near future.
Description of the Invention This disclosure is intended to provide a better understanding of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy Set with Valve Port and is not intended to have any limiting effect.
The main aim of the invention is to prevent back leakage of nutrients and gastric contents due to the valve design of the set in patients who will use Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy set with enteral nutrition requirement.
Another aim is to provide ease of use for patients and their relatives.
Another aim is to prevent economic losses due to damage to the cover.
Another aim is to prevent the risk of infection by eliminating the possibility of the set inlet remaining open.

Claims
