Abstract

Description
본 발명은 윈도우 구조체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 보다 상세하게는, 기판 및 금속막을 포함하는 윈도우 구조체 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
최근 정보화 사회가 발전함에 따라 와이 파이(Wi-Fi), 블루투스(Bluetooth) 등과 같은 무선 통신 기술이 화상 표시 장치, 전자 기기, 건축물, 사물인터넷(IoT), 자율주행차량 등에 적용 혹은 내장되고 있다. 또한, 최근 이동통신 기술이 진화하면서, 예를 들면, 고주파 혹은 초고주파 대역의 통신을 수행하기 위한 안테나가 창호, 가전, 차량 윈도우, 건물 외벽 등에 광범위하게 적용되고 있다. 예를 들면, 2.4GHz, 5GHz 등의 대역에서 운용되는 와이파이, 2.45GHz 대역에서 운용되는 블루투스와 함께 고주파수 대역(예를 들어, 28GHz 이상)에서 운용되는 5G(5th-generation) 통신 시스템이 상용화되고 있다.

도 1을 참조하면, 윈도우 구조체는 기판(90), 기판(90)의 상면 상에 배치된 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)을 포함할 수 있다.

일 실시예에 따르면, 유리 기판이 윈도우 구조체의 기판(90)으로 제공될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 윈도우 구조체가 적용되는 물체의 유리 기재가 기판(90)으로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 유리 기재는 예를 들면, 건물 외벽의 창호, 가전 또는 자동차 유리 등의 글래스를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 유리 기판의 두께는 2t 내지 10t일 수 있으나, 이에 제한되는 것은 아니며 설계 목적 및 타겟 대상에 따라 적절히 조절될 수 있다.
저방사층(200)은 기판(90)의 상면의 일부 영역 상에 형성될 수 있다.
저방사층(200)은 전극 패턴층(100) 보다 낮은 표면 방사율(emissivity)을 가질 수 있다. 이에 따라, 윈도우 구조체의 단열성 및 열저항이 향상될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 저방사층(200)은 로이(low-emissivity) 코팅 층일 수 있으며, 윈도우 구조체는 로이 유리로 제공될 수 있다.
도 2 및 도 3은 각각 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 윈도우 구조체를 나타내는 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 2 및 도 3을 참고하면, 저방사층(200)은 기판(90) 상에 형성된 도전층(220)을 포함할 수 있다. 도전층(220)에 의해 윈도우 구조체에 입사된 열 복사선이 반사될 수 있으며, 윈도우 구조체가 높은 열 저항 및 낮은 열전도율을 가질 수 있다.
도전층(220)은 은(Ag), 금(Au), 구리(Cu), 알루미늄(Al), 백금(Pt), 팔라듐(Pd), 크롬(Cr), 티타늄(Ti), 텅스텐(W), 니오븀(Nb), 탄탈륨(Ta), 바나듐(V), 철(Fe), 망간(Mn), 코발트(Co), 니켈(Ni), 아연(Zn), 주석(Sn), 몰리브덴(Mo), 칼슘(Ca), 또는 이들 중 적어도 하나를 함유하는 합금을 포함할 수 있다. 이들은 단독으로 혹은 2 이상이 조합되어 포함될 수 있다.
도전층(220)은 금속층(221) 및 금속 보호층(222)을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 도전층(220)은 금속층(221) 및 금속 보호층(222)의 적층 구조를 가질 수 있으며, 금속 보호층-금속층의 2층 구조, 또는 금속 보호층-금속층-금속 보호층의 3층 구조를 가질 수도 있다.
금속층(221)은 Ag, Ni, Pd, Pt, Cu 및 Au 등의 금속, 또는 이들 중 적어도 하나를 함유하는 합금을 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 금속층(221)은 구리(Cu), 은(Ag) 또는 은 합금(예를 들면, 은-팔라듐-구리(APC) 합금)을 포함할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 금속층(221)이 높은 내구성을 가질 수 있으며, 적외선 복사선을 보다 용이하게 반사할 수 있어 적외선 광에 대하여 낮은 흡수율을 가질 수 있다.

일 실시예에 있어서, 도전층(220)은 속이 찬(solid) 구조를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들면, 도전층(220)은 슬릿 영역 또는 중공 영역을 포함하지 않을 수 있다. 이에 따라, 저방사층(200)의 단열성 및 차폐성이 보다 향상될 수 있으며, 윈도우 구조체가 높은 열저항 및 낮은 열관류율(thermal conduction rate)을 가질 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 저방사층(200)은 도전층(220) 저면에 형성된 하부 보호층(210) 및 도전층(220) 상면에 형성된 상부 보호층(230)을 더 포함할 수 있다.
하부 보호층(210) 및 상부 보호층(230)은 예를 들면, 외부 환경에 의한 도전층(220)의 물리적, 화학적 손상을 방지할 수 있으며, 열에 의한 헤이즈(haze) 발생을 억제하여 투명성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
예를 들면, 하부 및 상부 보호층(210, 230)은 금속 산화물, 금속 질화물 또는 금속 산질화물 등과 같은 무기 절연 물질을 포함할 수 있으며, 예를 들어 실리콘 산화물, 실리콘 질화물, 실리콘 산질화물, 아연 산화물, 아연 질화물 또는 아연 산질화물을 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 상기 산화물, 질화물 및 산질화물은 Sn, Nb, Al, Sb, Mo, Cr, Ti 및 Ni 등을 더 함유할 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 저방사층(200)은 도전층(220)에 의해 낮은 방사율(emissivity)을 가질 수 있다. 상기 방사율은 흑체가 방사하는 에너지 대비 표면에서 방사하는 에너지의 비율을 의미하며, 상기 흑체는 외부에서 입사되는 모든 파장의 복사를 흡수하는 물체를 의미한다.
저방사층(200)이 낮은 방사율을 가짐에 따라, 적외선 또는 원적외선 영역의 파장에 대한 낮은 흡광도 및 열 복사선에 대한 높은 반사율을 가질 수 있다. 따라서, 저방사층(200)이 원적외선 영역의 파장을 갖는 광에 의한 열전도, 예를 들면, 복사에 의한 열흐름을 차단할 수 있다.
저방사층(200)이 복사에 의해 전달되는 열량을 차단하여 윈도우 구조체의 열관류율이 낮아질 수 있다. 예를 들면, 윈도우 구조체가 외부로부터 전달되는 열을 차단하여 실내 냉방 효율이 향상될 수 있으며, 혹은 실내에서 외부로 향하는 열을 반사시켜 난방 효율을 증진할 수 있다.
그러나, 저방사층(200)은 전 영역의 파장에 대하여 상대적으로 높은 반사율을 가지고 있어 전자기파의 투과를 방해할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 기지국으로부터 송출된 전자기파가 저방사층(200)에 의해 반사되어 실내에서의 신호 게인 및 커버리지가 저하될 수 있으며, 또는 실내 안테나로부터 송출된 전자기파가 외부 기지국에서 수신되지 않을 수 있다.
또한, 4G/5G 등의 고주파 혹은 초고주파 대역의 파장을 갖는 전자기파의 경우, 파장이 짧으며, 회절이 어려워 전파의 반사 및 간섭이 보다 증가할 수 있다. 따라서, 윈도우 구조체를 통과하는 과정에서 전자기파의 손실 및 감쇄가 증가하여 신호 효율 및 커버리지가 저하될 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 전극 패턴층(100)에 의해 전자기파 투과 특성이 보완 또는 증진될 수 있다.
전극 패턴층(100)은 전극층(130)을 포함할 수 있다. 전극층(130)은 패터닝 된 도전막일 수 있으며, 예를 들어 방사체 또는 굴절률 조절 패턴을 포함할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 전극 패턴층(100)이 직접 신호 송수신을 수행하거나, 원하는 주파수 대역의 신호를 선택적으로 투과시킬 수 있다.
따라서, 전극 패턴층(100)이 형성된 영역에서 전자기파의 송수신이 용이해질 수 있으며, 윈도우 구조체의 신호 효율, 신호 세기 및 안테나 게인이 전체적으로 개선될 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 전극 패턴층(100)은 기판(90) 상에서 저방사층(200)과 동일 레벨 또는 동일층에 배치될 수 있다.
예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)과 저방사층(200)이 서로 다른 층 또는 다른 레벨에 위치한 경우, 전극 패턴층(100)을 통과한 전자기파가 저방사층(200)에 의해 반사되거나 차단되어 신호 효율이 저하될 수 있다.
기판(90) 상의 동일 레벨에 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)을 함께 배치함에 따라, 전극 패턴층(100)에 의해 직접 신호가 송신 및 수신되거나, 전자기파에 대한 투과 선택도가 증가할 수 있다. 따라서, 적외선 또는 원적외선 영역의 복사선은 차폐되며 전자기 복사선, 예를 들면, 마이크로파(microwave)에 대한 투과율 및 신호 효율은 증가할 수 있다. 이에 따라, 윈도우 구조체가 낮은 열전도율을 가지면서 신호 커버리지 및 안테나 게인이 향상될 수 있다.
전극 패턴층(100)은 기판(90) 및 전극층(130) 사이에 배치된 하부 절연층(120) 및/또는 전극층(130) 상에 배치된 상부 절연층(140)을 더 포함할 수 있다.
전극층(130)은 은(Ag), 금(Au), 구리(Cu), 알루미늄(Al), 백금(Pt), 팔라듐(Pd), 크롬(Cr), 티타늄(Ti), 텅스텐(W), 니오븀(Nb), 탄탈륨(Ta), 바나듐(V), 철(Fe), 망간(Mn), 코발트(Co), 니켈(Ni), 아연(Zn), 주석(Sn), 몰리브덴(Mo), 칼슘(Ca), 또는 이들 중 적어도 하나를 함유하는 합금을 포함할 수 있다. 이들은 단독으로 혹은 2 이상이 조합되어 포함될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 전극층(130)은 저저항 구현 및 미세 선폭 패터닝을 위해 Ag 또는 은 합금(예를 들면, APC 합금), 혹은 Cu 또는 구리 합금(예를 들면, CuCa 합금)을 포함할 수 있다. 바람직하게는, 전극층(130)은 Ag 또는 Ag 합금을 포함할 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 전극층(130)은 ITO, IZO, ITZO 또는 ZnOx와 같은 투명 도전성 산화물을 포함할 수 있다.

하부 절연층(120)은 전극 패턴층(100)의 베이스 필름 또는 버퍼층으로 제공될 수 있다. 하부 절연층(120)에 의해 전극 패턴층(100)의 내크랙성 등의 기계적 물성 및 안정성이 향상될 수 있다.
상부 절연층(140)은 전극층(130)의 코팅층, 절연층, 보호필름 등으로 제공될 수 있다. 상부 절연층(140)에 의해 전극층(130)에 포함된 금속 또는 금속 산화물의 산화 또는 부식이 방지될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 하부 절연층(120) 및 상부 절연층(140)은 에폭시 수지, 아크릴 수지, 이미드 계열 수지 등과 같은 유기 절연 물질을 포함할 수 있다.

일부 실시예들에 있어서, 하부 절연층(120) 및 상부 절연층(140)의 유전율은 약 2 내지 12 범위로 조절될 수 있다. 상기 유전율이 약 12를 초과하는 경우, 기판(90) 및 외부 환경과의 유전율 편차가 증가하여 전자기파의 굴절 및 반사가 증가할 수 있다. 따라서, 전자기파 투과율이 저하되며, 신호 커버리지 및 게인이 감소할 수 있다. 또한, 구동 주파수가 지나치게 감소하여 고주파 대역에서의 구동이 구현되지 않을 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 전극 패턴층(100)은 점착제층(110)을 더 포함할 수 있다. 점착제층(110)은 기판(90) 및 하부 절연층(120) 사이에 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)은 점착제층(110)에 의해 기판(90) 상에 부착될 수 있다.

일부 실시예들에 있어서, 기판(90)의 상면 중 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)이 할당된 영역의 면적은 기판(90) 상면의 전체 면적 중 20% 이상, 30% 이상, 50% 이상, 80% 이상 또는 90% 이상일 수 있다. 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)의 면적은 윈도우 구조체 외부의 적외선 복사 강도, 가시광선 투과율 및 전자기파의 세기 등을 고려하여 조절할 수 있다. 일 실시예에 있어서, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)은 실질적으로 기판(90) 상면의 전체 영역에 형성될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 기판(90)의 상면 중 전극 패턴층(100)이 할당된 영역의 면적은 기판(90) 상면의 전체 면적 중 5% 내지 50%일 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)의 면적은 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)의 전체 면적 중 5% 내지 30%, 또는 10% 내지 20%일 수 있다. 상기 범위 내에서 윈도우 구조체의 단열성이 저하되지 않으면서 신호 송수신 효율 및 커버리지가 개선될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)은 분리 영역(95)을 통해 서로 이격될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 기판(90) 상에 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)을 형성하고, 전극 패턴층(100)의 둘레를 따라 식각하여 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)을 구분하는 분리 영역(95)을 형성할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 저방사층(200)은 전극 패턴층(100)의 측면에 직접 접촉할 수도 있다(예를 들면, 도 1 참조).
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130)은 내부에 소정 형상의 슬릿 영역을 가질 수 있다. 따라서, 상기 슬릿 영역의 중심에 전계가 집중될 수 있어 표면 전류 밀도의 불균형한 형성을 방지할 수 있다.
일 실시에에 있어서, 전극층(130)은 슬릿 형상 또는 중공 형상을 갖는 굴절률 조절 패턴들을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)은 전자기파 투과장치, 전자기파 증폭 장치, 필터(filter), FSS(Frequency Selective Surface), RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) 등으로 제공될 수 있다.
전극 패턴층(100)이 상기 굴절률 조절 패턴들을 포함함에 따라, 전자기파의 반사 및 간섭으로 인한 소멸을 억제할 수 있다. 따라서, 윈도우 구조체의 전자기파 투과율이 증가할 수 있으며, 안테나 게인 및 커버리지가 향상될 수 있다.

도 6을 참조하면, 전극층(130) 또는 굴절률 조절 패턴(134)은 슬릿 영역(138) 및 전극 영역(136)을 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 하부 절연층(120) 상에 도전막을 형성한 후, 상기 도전막의 일부를 부분적으로 식각하여 내부에 슬릿 영역(138)이 형성된 전극층(130)을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 도전막 중 슬릿 영역(138)이 제거되고 남은 영역이 전극 영역(136)으로 정의될 수 있다.

일부 실시예들에 있어서, 기판(90)의 평면 방향에서 슬릿 영역(138)의 면적은 상기 전극층(130)의 전체 면적 중 5% 내지 40%일 수 있다. 상기 범위 내에서 윈도우 구조체의 단열성이 향상될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 슬릿 영역(138)의 면적은 기판(90)의 면적, 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)의 전체 면적 중 2% 내지 20%일 수 있다. 슬릿 영역(138)의 면적이 2% 이상임에 따라, 윈도우 구조체의 전자기파 투과율이 보다 높아질 수 있다. 슬릿 영역(138)의 면적이 20% 이하임에 따라, 윈도우 구조체의 열관류율이 낮아질 수 있으며 단열성이 보다 개선될 수 있다.
전극 영역(136)은 속이 찬(solid) 구조를 가질 수 있다. 예를 들면, 굴절률 조절 패턴(134) 중 슬릿 영역(138)을 제외한 영역은 속이 찬 패턴으로 형성될 수 있다. 전극 영역(136)이 속이 찬 구조를 갖는 경우, 전극 패턴층(100)에 의해 전자기파 투과율이 향상될 수 있으면서 열 저항 및 단열성이 저하되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 전극 영역(136)은 원 형상, 다각형 형상(예를 들면, 사각형, 오각형, 육각형, 팔각형 등), 또는 십자 형상을 가질 수 있다. 일 실시예에 있어서, 전극 영역(136)의 형상은 슬릿 영역(138)에 의해 정의될 수 있다. 바람직하게는, 전극 영역(136)은 사각형 형상을 가질 수 있다.

예를 들면, 저방사층(200) 중 전극 패턴층(100)의 측면으로부터 기판(90)의 일 측까지 연장하는 일부 영역을 식각하고, 상기 식각된 영역 내에 전송 선로(160)를 형성할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 전송 선로(160)에 의해 전극층(130)으로의 급전이 수행될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전송 선로(160)의 말단은 회로 기판이 연결될 수 있으며, 전극층(130)은 전송 선로(160)에 의해 구동 IC 칩과 연결되어 구동 또는 급전될 수 있다.

안테나의 방사체가 저방사층(200)과 동일층에 배치됨에 따라, 저방사층(200)과 동일 레벨에서 신호 송수신이 수행될 수 있다. 따라서, 저방사층(200)에 의한 신호 손실을 방지할 수 있으며, 안테나 게인 및 커버리지가 확보될 수 있다.
상기 방사체는 예를 들면, 3G, 4G, 5G 혹은 그 이상의 고주파 혹은 초고주파 대역의 공진 주파수를 갖도록 설계될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 방사체의 공진 주파수는 약 0.5 GHz 내지 80 GHz 범위일 수 있다.

도 9 내지 도 12는 각각 예시적인 실시예들에 따른 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법을 설명하기 위한 개략적인 단면도이다.
도 9를 참조하면, 기판(90) 상에 마스크(150)를 위치시킬 수 있다(예를 들면, S10 단계).
마스크(150)는 기판(90)으로부터 쉽게 분리 또는 제거될 수 있는 물질을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 마스크(150)는 고분자 수지, 유기 및/또는 무기 절연 물질을 포함할 수 있으며, 또는 마스크(150)로서 보호 필름 등을 사용할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 마스크(150)의 유리전이온도(Tg)는 저방사층(200) 형성 단계에서의 공정 온도, 예를 들어 스퍼터링 공정 시 처리 온도 이상일 수 있다. 예를 들면, 마스크(150)의 유리전이온도는 70℃ 이상, 100℃ 이상, 150℃ 이상, 또는 400℃ 이상일 수 있다. 이에 따라, 저방사층(200) 형성을 위한 가열 처리에서도 마스크(150)의 분해 및 변형을 방지할 수 있으며, 가열 후에도 높은 박리성을 가질 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 마스크(150)는 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트(PET), 고내열 PET, 폴리테트라플루오로에틸렌(PTFE), 폴리에테르이미드(PEI), 폴리이미드(PI), 아크릴계 수지, 실록산계 수지 등을 포함할 수 있다.
마스크(150)의 형성 방법으로 예를 들면 스크린 인쇄법, 그라비아 인쇄법, 플렉소 인쇄법, 오프셋 인쇄법, 잉크젯 코팅법, 디스펜서 인쇄법, 포토리소그래피법, 나노 임프린팅 등을 들 수 있다. 일 실시예에 있어서, 점착제가 도포된 보호 필름을 기판(90) 상에 부착하여 마스크(150)를 형성할 수도 있다.
도 10를 참조하면, 기판(90) 상에 저방사층(200)을 형성할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 기판(90) 상면에 하부 보호층, 금속층 및 상부 보호층을 순차적으로 형성할 수 있다.
저방사층(200)은 기판(90)의 상면 상에 전체적으로 형성할 수 있다(예를 들면, S20 단계).
예를 들면, 저방사층(200)은 기판(90)의 상면 중 마스크(150)가 형성되지 않은 영역 및 마스크(150)를 덮도록 형성될 수 있다.

예를 들면, 하부 보호층, 상부 보호층 및 금속층 각각은 플라즈마 증착법, 예를 들면, 스퍼터링(sputtering) 공정을 통해 형성될 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)이 서로 다른 공정 또는 단계에서 형성됨에 따라, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200)이 서로 다른 물질로 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130) 및 저방사층(200)의 도전층(220)은 서로 다른 금속을 포함할 수 있다.
따라서, 전극 패턴층(100) 및 저방사층(200) 각각에 대한 재료 선택이 자유로울 수 있으며, 이에 따라 윈도우 구조체의 단열성 및 전자기파 투과도가 보다 증진될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130)은 높은 전자기파 투과율을 갖는 금속, 합금 또는 금속 산화물을 포함할 수 있으며, 저방사층(200)의 도전층(220)은 낮은 열전도율 및 높은 단열성을 갖는 금속, 합금 또는 금속 산화물을 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 저방사층(200)의 도전층(220)은 은(Ag), 니켈(Ni), 크롬(Cr) 등을 포함할 수 있으며, 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130)은 구리(Cu), 구리 산화물(CuOx) 등을 포함할 수 있다.
도 11을 참조하면, 기판(90)으로부터 마스크(150)를 제거할 수 있다(예를 들면, S30 단계).
기판(90)으로부터 마스크(150)를 제거하면서 마스크(150) 상에 형성된 저방사층(200)이 함께 제거될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 마스크(150)는 필 오프(peel-off) 또는 리프트 오프(lift-off) 등을 통해 제거될 수 있으며, 또는 마스크(150)에 선택적으로 습식 에칭 또는 건식 에칭 공정이 수행될 수 있다.

일부 실시예들에 있어서, 하부 절연층(120)이 전극 패턴층(100) 제조를 위한 기재(substrate)로 제공될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 기재는 PET, COP, PC, PEN, PI, PES 등의 수지 기판을 포함할 수 있다.
예를 들면, 하부 절연층(120) 상에 상술한 금속 또는 합금을 포함하는 도전층을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 도전층의 일부 영역을 하부 절연층(120)의 상면이 노출될 때까지 식각하여 전극층(130)을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 식각된 영역은 전극층의 슬릿 영역(138)으로 제공될 수 있다.
상기 전극층(130) 상에 상부 절연층(140)을 형성할 수 있다. 따라서, 하부 절연층(120), 전극층(130) 및 상부 절연층(140)의 적층 구조를 갖는 적층체가 제조될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 전극층(130)의 최상층에 투명 도전성 산화물층이 위치한 경우, 상부 절연층(140) 형성 공정은 생략될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 하부 절연층(120)은 이형층 또는 분리층으로 제공될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 전극 패턴층(100)은 기재 필름을 포함하지 않는 무기재(substrate-less) 구조를 가질 수 있다.
예를 들면, 캐리어 기판 상에 하부 절연층(120), 전극층(130) 및/또는 상부 절연층(140)이 순차적으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 캐리어 기판으로부터 하부 절연층(120)을 분리하여 하부 절연층(120), 전극층(130) 및/또는 상부 절연층(140)의 적층 구조를 갖는 적층체를 형성할 수 있다.
하부 절연층(120)은 캐리어 기판으로부터 분리 가능한 유기 물질을 포함할 수 있다. 따라서, 필 오프(peel-off), 리프트 오프(lift-off) 등을 통해 하부 절연층(120)을 캐리어 기판으로부터 용이하게 분리시킬 수 있으며, 예를 들면, 레이저 리프트 오프(laser lift-off) 공정을 통해 상기 적층체를 캐리어 기판으로 분리할 수 있다.
상기 제조된 적층체의 하부 절연층(120)의 저면 상에 점착 물질을 도포하여 점착제층(110)이 형성된 전극 패턴층(100)을 제조할 수 있다. 점착제층(110)을 통해 전극 패턴층(100)을 기판(90)에 부착할 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 기판(90)으로부터 마스크(150)를 제거하고, 마스크(150)가 제거된 영역 상에 점착 물질을 도포할 수 있다. 상기 점착 물질 상에 상기 제조된 적층체를 부착하여 전극 패턴층(100)을 형성할 수 있다.
기판(90) 상에 저방사층(200)을 먼저 형성한 후에 전극 패턴층(100)을 형성함에 따라, 저방사층(200) 형성에 수반되는 고온 및 가열로 인한 전극 패턴층(100)의 손상 및 열화를 방지할 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 전극 패턴층(100)의 측면으로부터 기판(90)의 일 측까지 연장하는 저방사층(200)의 일부 영역을 식각할 수 있다.
상기 식각된 영역 내에 도전 패턴을 형성할 수 있다. 상기 도전 패턴은 상술한 금속, 합금 또는 금속 산화물로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 도전 패턴은 전극층(130)과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있으며, 예를 들면 전극층(130)의 전송 선로로 제공될 수 있다.

일 실시예에 있어서, 전극 패턴층(100)은 제1 기판(90)의 일면 및 제2 기판(92)의 일면 상에 각각 형성될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 복층 윈도우의 경우, 하나의 유리 기판을 통과한 전자기파가 윈도우 내부에서 다른 유리 기판에 의해 반사되어 상쇄 간섭이 발생하거나 소멸될 수 있다. 또한, 유리 기판과 에어층 간 유전율 차이로 인해 전자기파의 위상 변화가 증가할 수 있다.
제1 기판(90) 및 제2 기판(92) 상에 모두 전극 패턴층(100)이 형성됨에 따라 신호 손실을 방지할 수 있으며, 안테나 게인 및 커버리지가 향상될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 제1 기판(90) 상에 형성된 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130)은 굴절률 조절층으로 제공되며, 제2 기판(92) 상에 형성된 전극 패턴층(100)의 전극층(130)은 안테나의 방사체로 제공될 수 있다.
일 실시예에 있어서, 저방사층(200)도 제1 기판(90)의 일면 및 제2 기판(92)의 일면 상에 각각 형성될 수 있다. 저방사층(200)은 제1 기판(90) 및 제2 기판(92) 각각의 일면 상에서 전극 패턴층(100)과 동일 층 또는 동일 레벨에 위치할 수 있다.
예시적인 실시예들에 따르면, 기판(90, 92) 상에 저방사층(200)이 형성됨에 따라, 열원(heat source)로부터 전달되는 복사선(heat radiation)을 차단할 수 있다. 또한, 저방사층(200)과 동일 레벨에 전극 패턴층(100)이 배치됨에 따라, 예를 들면, 기지국 안테나(AT)로부터 송신된 전자기파(electromagnetic)의 투과율이 함께 향상될 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 상기 윈도우 구조체의 열관류율(thermal conduction rate)은 5 W/m2K 이하일 수 있다. 상기 윈도우 구조체는 일반적인 유리 기판보다 낮은 열관류율을 가질 수 있으며, 예를 들면, 2.5 W/m2K 이하, 2.0 W/m2K 이하, 1.8 W/m2K 이하, 1.65 W/m2K 이하의 열관류율을 가질 수 있다.
일부 실시예들에 있어서, 상기 윈도우 구조체의 28GHz에서의 전파 투과도(transmission)는 -14dB 이상일 수 있다. 상기 윈도우 구조체는 일반적인 유리 기판보다 높은 전자기파 투과율을 가질 수 있으며, 예를 들면, 28GHz의 주파수에서 -13dB 이상, -12dB 이상 또는 -10db 이상의 투과율을 가질 수 있다.
예를 들면, 상기 윈도우 구조체는 버스, 지하철 등의 대중 교통의 창문, 건축물, 윈도우, 차량, 장식용 조형물, 안내용 표지판(예를 들면, 방향 표시판, 비상구 표시판, 비상등) 등과 같은 다양한 구조체, 대상체에 적용될 수 있다.
상기 윈도우 구조체에 의해 예를 들면, 단열성 및 에너지 효율이 향상되면서 안테나 또는 레이더에 의한 신호 송수신 효율이 증가하여 방사 신뢰성 및 안테나 게인이 향상될 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 이해를 돕기 위하여 바람직한 실시예를 제시하나, 이들 실시예는 본 발명을 예시하는 것일 뿐 첨부된 특허청구범위를 제한하는 것이 아니며, 본 발명의 범주 및 기술사상 범위 내에서 실시예에 대한 다양한 변경 및 수정이 가능함은 당업자에게 있어서 명백한 것이며, 이러한 변형 및 수정이 첨부된 특허청구범위에 속하는 것도 당연한 것이다.
실험예
실시예 1
도 14 및 도 15에 도시된 구조의 윈도우 구조체를 제작하였다. 상부 기판 및 하부 기판으로 각각 1m×1.8m의 글래스(두께 6t)를 사용하였으며, 전극 패턴층 및 저방사층은 하부 기판 상에 형성되었다. 전극 패턴층의 크기는 0.6m×0.6m로 설정되었다.
구체적으로, 전극 패턴층의 전극층은 IZO/APC/IZO의 3층 구조로 형성되었으며, 굴절률 조절 패턴은 도 6에 도시된 구조를 갖도록 형성되었다. 굴절률 조절 영역의 길이(T)는 22m이고, 슬릿 영역의 길이(l)는 20.5mm이고, 슬릿 영역의 너비(w)는 1mm이다.
저방사층의 도전층은 NiCr/Ag/NiCr의 3층 구조로 형성되었다.
상부 기판 및 하부 기판의 면적은 각각 1.80m2, 전극 패턴층의 면적은 0.36m2, 저방사층의 면적은 1.76m2이다. 식각 영역의 면적은 0.04m2로 하부 기판 전체 면적 중 약 2.22%이다.
비교예 1
윈도우 구조체로 전극 패턴층 및 저방사층이 형성되지 않은 복층 구조의 글래스(두께 6t, 크기 1m×1.8m)를 사용하였다.
비교예 2
하부 기판 상에 전극 패턴층을 형성하지 않고, 저방사층을 1.80m2의 면적으로 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일하게 윈도우 구조체를 제작하였다.
비교예 3
하부 기판 상에 저방사층을 형성하지 않고, 전극 패턴층을 1.80m2의 면적으로 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일하게 윈도우 구조체를 제작하였다. 식각 영역의 면적 0.2m2으로, 하부 기판 전체 면적 중 약 11.1%이다.
비교예 4
하부 기판 상에 1.80m2의 면적의 저방사층을 형성하고, 상기 저방사층 상에 0.36m2의 면적의 전극 패턴층을 형성한 것을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일하게 윈도우 구조체를 제작하였다.
전파 투과 손실 평가
윈도우 구조체에 대한 전파 투과량을 평가하였다. 전자기파는 하부 기판의 저면에서 상부 기판의 상면을 향하도록 조사하였으며, 전파 투과 손실은 28GHz 내지 29GHZ의 주파수 영역에서 공기에서의 투과량에 대한 상대적인 값으로 측정하였다.
EVM(error vector magnitude) 평가
윈도우 구조체로 인한 신호 왜곡을 측정하였다. 벡터 신호발생기(M9384B VXG)와 신호 분석기(N9040B UXA)를 이용하여 64-QAM 변조 방식 및 28GHz 내지 29GHZ의 주파수 영역에서의 신호의 왜곡 정도를 EVM으로 평가 확인하였다. 포커스 타입(Focusing Type) 안테나 기준 Focal Length 270mm 환경에서 측정하였으며, 전자기파의 입사 방향은 하부 기판의 저면에서 상부 기판의 상면을 향하도록 하였다. 신호분석기 내에서 QAM 변조 처리된 데이터가 표시된 IQ-Plot으로 오차 수준을 확인하였다. EVM(%)은 채널 신호의 평균(RMS) 파워를 기준 파워로 하여 기준 파워에 대한 오차의 제곱근으로 계산하였다.
방사율 및 열관류율 측정
윈도우 구조체의 방사율은 적외선 분광기(FT-IR)를 통해 KS L 2514에 의거하여 측정하였다. 윈도우 구조체의 열관류율은 측정된 방사율을 이용하여 KS L 2003:2013에 의거하여 측정하였다.
평가 결과는 하기 표 1에 나타내었다.

표 1을 참조하면, 실시예 1의 윈도우 구조체는 28GHz에서의 전자기파 투과도가 높았으며, 낮은 열관류율을 나타내었다. 글래스 상에 저방사층 및 전극 패턴층이 동일 레벨에서 함께 형성됨에 따라, 윈도우 구조체의 신호 효율 및 단열성이 함께 향상되었다.
비교예들의 경우, 윈도우 구조체가 낮은 전자기파 투과도를 갖거나, 높은 열관류율을 가졌다.
예를 들면, 비교예 1의 윈도우 구조체는 저방사층 및 전극 패턴층을 포함하지 않고 복층 유리 기판만을 포함함에 따라, 신호 효율 및 단열성이 모두 저하되었다. 또한, 비교예 2 및 3의 윈도우 구조체는 각각 전극 패턴층 또는 저방사층을 결여함에 따라, 낮은 신호 효율을 갖거나 높은 열관류율을 가졌다.
비교예 4의 윈도우 구조체는 전극 패턴층 및 저방사층이 적층된 구조를 가지고 있어 낮은 전파 투과도, 예를 들면, -40dB 이하의 투과 손실을 나타내었다.
Claims (19)
- 기판;상기 기판 상에 배치된 전극 패턴층; 및상기 기판 상에서 상기 전극 패턴층과 동일층에 배치되며, 상기 전극 패턴층보다 낮은 방사율(emissivity)을 갖는 저방사층을 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층은,상기 기판 상에 배치된 하부 절연층; 및상기 하부 절연층 상에 배치된 전극층을 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 2에 있어서, 상기 기판 및 상기 하부 절연층 사이에 배치된 점착제층을 더 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 2에 있어서, 상기 전극층은 금속막 및 금속 산화물막의 적층 구조를 포함하며,상기 전극 패턴층은 상기 전극층 상에 배치된 상부 유기층을 더 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 2에 있어서, 상기 저방사층은,상기 기판 상에 배치된 하부 보호층;상기 하부 보호층 상에 배치된 도전층; 및상기 도전층 상에 배치된 상부 보호층을 더 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 5에 있어서, 상기 전극층 및 상기 도전층은 서로 다른 금속으로 형성된, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 2에 있어서, 상기 전극층은 슬릿 영역 및 상기 슬릿 영역을 제외한 전극 영역을 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 전극 영역은 십자 형상, 원 형상 또는 다각형 형상을 갖는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 슬릿 영역의 면적은 상기 전극 패턴층 및 상기 저방사층의 전체 면적 중 2% 내지 20%인, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층과 전기적으로 연결된 전송 선로를 더 포함하며, 상기 전극 패턴층은 안테나 유닛으로 제공되는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층 및 상기 저방사층 상에 배치된 상부 기판; 및 상기 전극 패턴층 및 상기 저방사층과 상기 상부 기판 사이에 형성된 에어층을 더 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체.
- 기판의 상면의 일부 영역 상에 마스크를 배치하는 단계;상기 기판의 상기 상면 상에 저방사층을 형성하는 단계;상기 기판으로부터 상기 마스크를 제거하는 단계; 및상기 기판의 상기 마스크가 제거된 영역 상에 전극 패턴층을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층은 점착제층을 통해 상기 기판 상에 부착되는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층은 하부 절연층, 상기 하부 절연층 상에 형성된 전극층 및 상기 전극층 상에 형성된 상부 절연층을 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 저방사층은 스퍼터링(sputtering) 공정을 통해 상기 기판의 상기 상면을 덮도록 형성되는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 15에 있어서, 상기 마스크의 유리전이온도는 상기 스퍼터링 공정의 처리 온도 이상인, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 12에 있어서, 상기 전극 패턴층의 일 측면으로부터 상기 기판의 일 측까지 연장하는 상기 저방사층의 일부 영역을 식각하고, 상기 식각된 영역 내에 전송 선로를 형성하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 청구항 17에 있어서, 상기 전송 선로에 의해 상기 전극 패턴층에 대한 급전이 수행되며, 상기 전극 패턴층은 안테나 유닛으로 제공되는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 기판의 상면의 일부 상에 전극 패턴층을 배치하는 단계;상기 전극 패턴층 상에 마스크를 배치하는 단계;상기 기판의 상기 상면 상에 저방사층을 형성하는 단계; 및상기 전극 패턴층으로부터 마스크를 제거하는 단계를 포함하는, 윈도우 구조체의 제조 방법.
