Description
This disclosure relates to packaging boxes.
Conventionally, packaging boxes containing items such as medicines, quasi-drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics have sometimes been packaged with written documentation describing the items (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The explanation of the items may also be displayed on the packaging box. For example, a packaging box 110 of the type shown in Figures 7 and 8 (see, for example, Patent Document 2) has a lid 111 that constitutes part of the top surface that opens to form an opening 112, through which the items contained inside can be removed. In this packaging box 110, an explanation 113 regarding the items is displayed on the inside surface of the open lid 111, as shown in Figure 8.
However, creating a document describing the product and including it in the packaging box creates the problem of additional manufacturing costs and complicating the manufacturing process.
Also, as shown in FIG. 8, when displaying an explanation 113 about the item on the inside surface of the lid 111 of the packaging box 110, the display area of the lid 111 is limited, so the explanation 113 about the item cannot be displayed adequately. Also, if the item moves or rattles inside the packaging box 110 during transportation, etc., and the inner surface of the lid 111 is rubbed by the item, the display will disappear or become difficult to see due to friction.

The first flap 30 is connected to the left and right side edges of the third side wall 22 of the torso 2 and is generally perpendicular to the third side wall 22. The second flap 31 is connected to the left and right side edges of the second side wall 21 of the torso 2 and is generally perpendicular to the second side wall 21. The first flap 30 and the second flap 31 are generally the same size. The front-to-rear length of the first flap 30 and the second flap 31 is smaller than the front-to-rear length of the second side wall 21 and the third side wall 22 (depth of the torso 2). The vertical length of the first flap 30 and the second flap 31 is about half the vertical length of the fourth side wall 23 (height of the torso 2), and the tip of the first flap 30 and the tip of the second flap 31 face each other with a gap between them.
The third flap 32 is connected to the left and right side edges of the fourth side wall 23 of the torso 2 and is generally perpendicular to the fourth side wall 23. The fourth flap 33 is connected to the left and right side edges of the first side wall 20 of the torso 2 and is generally perpendicular to the first side wall 20. The vertical length of the third flap 32 is smaller than the vertical length of the fourth side wall 23 (the height of the torso 2). The front-rear length of the third flap 32 is shorter than the front-rear length of the second side wall 21 and the third side wall 22 (the depth of the torso 2). The size of the fourth flap 33 is larger than the size of the third flap 32. The vertical length of the fourth flap 33 is approximately the same as the vertical length of the fourth side wall 23 (the height of the torso 2). The front-rear length of the fourth flap 33 is approximately the same as the front-rear length of the second side wall 21 and the third side wall 22 (the depth of the torso 2).
A third flap 32 is superimposed on the outside of the first flap 30 and the second flap 31, and a fourth flap 33 is superimposed on the outside of the third flap 32. At least a portion of the fourth flap 33 of the third flap 32 is fixed using adhesive, a pressure sensitive adhesive, double-sided tape, etc., thereby blocking the openings at both left and right ends of the torso 2.
In this embodiment, the closure section 3 is composed of four flaps 30-33, but the configuration of the closure section 3 is not particularly limited. As long as both ends of the body section 2 can be closed, the number and shape of the flaps are not particularly limited.
<Header>
1 to 4, each of the header pieces 11, 12 of the header 10 is a thin plate having a rectangular shape, and in this embodiment, a rectangular shape. The first header piece 11 and the second header piece 12 are approximately the same size. The thickness of each of the header pieces 11, 12 is approximately the same as the thickness of each of the side walls 20-24 of the body portion 2.
<Header>
1 to 4, each of the
The first header piece 11 extends above the first side wall 20 of the body 2. In other words, the first header piece 11 is flush with and connected above the first side wall 20 in such a way that the first side wall 20 extends upward, and the first side wall 20 and the first header piece 11 are lined up in a continuous manner so that their outer surfaces and inner surfaces are flush with each other. Therefore, in this embodiment, there is no clear boundary between the first side wall 20 and the first header piece 11, and the space between them is flat without any steps or unevenness. Note that there may be a fold or break line between the first side wall 20 and the first header piece 11, and the first header piece 11 may be connected above the first side wall 20 in such a way that there is a clear boundary between them.
The left-right length of the first header piece 11 is approximately the same as the left-right length of the first side wall 20. Note that the left-right length of the first header piece 11 may become narrower or wider, for example, as it moves upward.
The second header piece 12 is connected to the upper edge of the first header piece 11. The second header piece 12 is folded back over the first header piece 11 at the upper edge of the first header piece 11, thereby overlapping the first header piece 11. The second header piece 12 is simply overlapped over the first header piece 11, and in this embodiment, it is not fixed to the inside surface of the first header piece 11 using adhesive, pressure sensitive adhesive, double-sided tape, etc.
The third side wall 22 of the body 2 is connected to the lower edge of the second header piece 12, and the second header piece 12 is generally perpendicular to the third side wall 22.
<First break line>
1, 2, and 4, a pair of left and rightfirst break lines 4 are formed in the first side wall 20 of the body 2 and the first header piece 11 of the header 10. The first break lines 4 are lines that break when an external force is applied. The first break lines 4 can be configured, for example, by perforations, half-cut lines, etc., and in this embodiment, they are configured by perforations.
<First break line>
1, 2, and 4, a pair of left and right
The pair of left and right first break lines 4 extend vertically in a straight line so as to be generally parallel with a space between them in the left and right direction, and reach from the lower edge of the first side wall 20 to the upper edge of the first header piece 11. This allows the lid portion 25 between the pair of left and right first break lines 4 in the first side wall 20 and the separation portion 13 between the pair of left and right first break lines 4 in the first header piece 11 to be pulled off together.
As shown in FIG. 4, when the lid portion 25 is severed from the other portions of the first side wall 20 along the pair of left and right first break lines 4, the lid portion 25 opens to form an opening 27, through which items stored in the box body 1 can be removed. In addition, when the detached portion 13 is severed from the other portions of the first header piece 11 along the pair of left and right first break lines 4, the detached portion 13 detaches from the second header piece 12, making it possible to expose the inner surface of the detached portion 13.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the perforations that make up the first break line 4 are formed by arranging multiple notches 40 at intervals in the direction in which the first break line 4 extends. Each notch 40 of the perforations may be dot-like or linear, and in this embodiment, they are linear. In addition to being linear, each notch 40 of the perforations may be in various shapes, such as a dogleg shape with one end bent, or an arrow shape with one end widening into a V shape. In this embodiment, each notch 40 of the perforations is dogleg-shaped.
The dogleg-shaped cut 40 has a first portion 41 extending in the direction in which the first break line 4 extends, and a second portion 42 bending from the first portion 41. The first portion 41 of each cut 40 is aligned in a straight line. The second portion 42 of each cut 40 may be bent in either the left or right direction relative to the direction in which the first break line 4 extends, but in this embodiment, it is bent toward the left and right side edges of the first side wall 20 and the left and right side edges of the first header piece 11. In other words, the left first break line 4 is bent toward the left side edge of the first side wall 20 and the left side edge of the first header piece 11, and the right first break line 4 is bent toward the right side edge of the first side wall 20 and the right side edge of the first header piece 11.
As a result, as shown in FIG. 4, multiple thorn-like protrusions 14 are formed on the lid portion 25 and the separation portion 13 side, which are generated when the lid portion 25 of the first side wall 20 and the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 are peeled off. When the second portion 42 of each cut 40 is bent in the opposite direction to this embodiment, that is, in the case of the conventional packaging box 110 shown in FIG. 8, the multiple thorn-like protrusions 114 remain on the left and right edge sides of the opening 112. Therefore, when removing an item contained in the packaging box 110 from the opening 112, the hand may hit the protrusions 114, causing pain. In contrast, when multiple thorn-like protrusions 14 are formed on the lid portion 25 and the separation portion 13 side, as in this embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the hand does not hit the protrusions 14 when removing an item contained in the box body 1 from the opening 27, so it is effective in preventing pain.
The pair of left and right first break lines 4 is not limited to the shape of this embodiment. The pair of left and right first break lines 4 may extend in the vertical direction, for example, from the lower edge of the first side wall 20 toward the upper edge of the first header piece 11 while inclining so that the gap between them gradually widens. Alternatively, the pair of left and right first break lines 4 may extend in the vertical direction linearly from the lower edge of the first side wall 20 so as to be generally parallel in the first side wall 20, and in the first header piece 11, may extend in the vertical direction while inclining so that the gap between them gradually widens toward the upper edge of the first header piece 11, and the ends of the pair of left and right first break lines 4 may reach the upper edge of the first header piece 11 or the left and right side edges of the first header piece 11. Alternatively, the pair of left and right first break lines 4 may extend in the vertical direction linearly from the lower edge of the first side wall 20 so as to be generally parallel in the first side wall 20, and in the first header piece 11, may be bent 90° and extend in the horizontal direction toward the left and right side edges of the first header piece 11.
<Second break line>
1, 2, and 4, a pair ofsecond break lines 5 are formed on the second side wall 21 of the body 2. The second break lines 5 are lines that break when an external force is applied, similar to the first break lines 4. The second break lines 5 can be formed, for example, by perforations or half-cut lines, and in this embodiment, the second break lines 5 are formed by perforations.

The pair of left and right second break lines 5 extend in the front-rear direction with a gap between them in the left-right direction, and reach from the front edge to the rear edge of the second side wall 21. The pair of left and right second break lines 5 are connected to the pair of left and right first break lines 4 that reach the lower edge of the first side wall 20 at the rear edge of the second side wall 21. This allows the opening start portion 26 between the pair of left and right second break lines 5 in the second side wall 21 to be pulled off.
Once the opening start portion 26 is severed from the other portions of the second side wall 21 along the pair of second break lines 5 on the left and right, the lid portion 25 can then be opened.
The pair of left and right second break lines 5 extend generally parallel in the front-rear direction from the front edge to partway to the rear edge of the second side wall 21, and extend in the front-rear direction from partway to the rear edge while slanting so that the gap between them gradually increases toward the rear edge. This forms a knob portion with a narrow width in the opening start portion 26, making it easy to peel off the opening start portion 26. A cut line 28 is formed in the center position of the opening start portion 26 in the left-right direction, curving convexly toward the rear edge of the second side wall 21. The cut line 28 penetrates the second side wall 21 in the thickness direction, and an insertion piece 29 is formed in the area surrounded by the cut line 28.
The perforations constituting the second break line 5 are formed by arranging multiple notches 50 at intervals in the direction in which the first break line 5 extends. Each notch 50 of the perforations may be dot-like or linear, and in this embodiment, they are linear. In addition to being linear, each notch 50 of the perforations may be in various shapes, such as a dogleg shape with one end bent, or an arrow shape with one end widening into a V shape. In this embodiment, each notch 50 of the perforations is dogleg-shaped, similar to the first break line 4, and a detailed description thereof will be omitted here.
The pair of left and right second break lines 5 are not limited to the shape of this embodiment. The pair of left and right second break lines 5 may extend linearly in the front-rear direction so as to be generally parallel, for example. Alternatively, the pair of left and right second break lines 5 may extend in the front-rear direction while slanting so that the distance between them gradually increases from the front edge to the rear edge of the second side wall 21, for example.

As shown in FIG. 4, a description 6 of the stored item is displayed, for example by printing, on the inside surface of the box body 1 and the inside surface of the header 10. Examples of the description 6 of the item include, but are not limited to, the product name, product efficacy and effects, product use and dosage, image photos and diagrams of examples, product ingredients and quantities, product features and selling points, product usage, product usage and handling precautions, manufacturer and distributor information, figures, letters, symbols, logos and pictures for advertising and promoting the product or for improving the design.
The description 6 regarding the item is displayed on the inner surface of the fourth side wall 23 of the torso 2, the inner surface of the third side wall 22, and the inner surface of the first side wall 20, which are easily visible to the user when the lid 25 is opened to open the box body 1. In this embodiment, in addition to the inner surface of the box body 1, the description 6 regarding the item is also displayed on the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 that is exposed when the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 separates from the second header piece 12 upon opening the box body 1, and on the inner surface of the second header piece 12.

<How to use the packaging box>
Next, a method of opening the assembledpackaging box 1 will be described. First, the narrow knob portion of the opening start portion 26 of the second side wall 21 is pinched, and the opening start portion 26 is pulled and peeled off along the pair of left and right second break lines 5. Then, while pinching the knob portion of the opening start portion 26, the lid portion 25 of the first side wall 20 is pulled and peeled off along the pair of left and right first break lines 4 to open the lid portion 25 and form an opening 27. Furthermore, the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 is pulled and peeled off along the pair of left and right first break lines 4 to separate the separation portion 13 from the second header piece 12. This makes it possible to take out an item (not shown) in the box body 1 through the opening 27, as shown in FIG. 4.

In the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, due to the above-mentioned configuration, when the box body 1 is opened, the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 is pulled off together with the lid portion 25 of the first side wall 20, and the separation portion 13 separates from the second header piece 12. Therefore, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, the inner surface of the separation portion 13 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12 can be used as an area for displaying the explanation 6 regarding the item. As a result, there is no need to separately store a document containing the explanation 6 regarding the item inside the packaging box 100, which reduces manufacturing costs and simplifies the manufacturing process.
In addition, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12 can be used as an area for displaying the description 6 regarding the item. As a result, the display area for the description 6 regarding the item is increased, and the description 6 regarding the item can be displayed adequately.
In addition, in the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, before the box body 1 is opened, the first header piece 11 and the second header piece 12 are overlapped, and the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12 are not exposed. Therefore, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, even if the items contained in the box body 1 move or rattle during transportation, etc., the explanation 6 regarding the items displayed on the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12 does not come into contact with the items, and the display does not disappear or become difficult to see due to friction with the items. Therefore, for example, important explanations such as how to use the product and precautions for using and handling the product can be reliably viewed by the user by displaying the important explanations on the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12. In addition, the inner surface of the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 and the inner surface of the second header piece 12 are arranged side by side below the inner surface of the open lid portion 25, so that the description 6 regarding the item can be displayed in a position that is easy for the user to see.
In addition, the packaging box 100 of this embodiment does not change its shape significantly compared to conventional packaging boxes with headers, and the amount of blank sheet 101 used and the labor and complexity involved in assembling the blank sheet 101 have not increased significantly. Therefore, with the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, stable production can be achieved in the same way as with conventional packaging boxes with headers.
In addition, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, the second side wall 21 includes the opening start portion 26, and opening begins from the second side wall 21 to open the lid portion 25 of the first side wall 20, making it easy to open and preventing the box from deforming significantly after opening. Therefore, it is also easy to reseal.
In addition, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, the pair of left and right first break lines 4 are perforations, and the multiple cuts 40 that make up the perforations have second portions 42, which are one end portion, that bend toward the left and right side edges of the first side wall 20 and the left and right side edges of the first header piece 11. Therefore, according to the packaging box 100 of this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, multiple thorn-like protrusions 14 are formed on the lid portion 25 and the separation portion 13 side that are generated when the lid portion 25 of the first side wall 20 and the separation portion 13 of the first header piece 11 are peeled off. Therefore, when removing an item stored in the box body 1 from the opening 27, the hand does not come into contact with the protrusions 14, and the user does not feel pain.
