Definitions

  • Curb or kerb charging device for charging an energy storage device of an electrically powered vehicle
  • the invention relates to a curbstone or kerbstone charging device for charging an energy storage device of an electrically powered vehicle with a base body which is made of one or more of the materials concrete, natural stone, plastic and composite material and has a receiving space which is delimited by two side walls delimiting the base body in the longitudinal direction, a front wall extending in the longitudinal direction and a rear wall extending in the longitudinal direction and a base of the base body, a closure cover which covers an upper side of the receiving space and areas of an upper side of the side walls of the base body, an upper side of the front wall and an upper side of the rear wall adjacent to the upper side of the receiving space, and a charging unit which is arranged in the receiving space.
  • curb charging devices are charging stations integrated into the curb to which vehicles can be connected via an electrical connection in order to charge their energy storage units or batteries. This particularly applies to purely electrically powered vehicles but also to hybrid vehicles. Vehicles that can be charged can be passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles or electric bicycles.

  • a special design of such a curbstone with electronics for charging a vehicle is known from GB 2 592 186 A.

  • GB 232332 A discloses a combined gutter and curbstone with a cavity in which electrical cables are arranged and which is closed at the top by a cover.
  • the front wall and rear wall bordering the cavity are reinforced by metal rods inserted into the concrete.
  • the cover rests on shoulders of the front wall and rear wall. When the front wall is loaded, its thinnest area is loaded against the cover, which in turn is pushed against the thin section of the rear wall, so that there is a risk of the front wall and rear wall breaking in the upper area.
  • the task is therefore to provide a curb or kerb charging device for charging an energy storage device of an electrically powered vehicle, which has a high durability and can therefore be used in large quantities as a curb in cities, but also in car parks or motorway service stations, without the need for constant maintenance or frequent replacement.
  • the electronics in the receiving space should be protected from damage and the curb itself should continue to function as a road barrier, with no damage and consequently no damage to car tires caused by parts of the curb breaking off. • the curb or kerb charging device should be easy to retrofit in prepared streets.
  • the electronics should be easy to remove for maintenance and comply with existing standards. Furthermore, a high level of tightness against the ingress of water and dirt should be achieved.
  • a curb or kerb charging device for charging an energy storage device of an electrically powered vehicle with the features of the main claim 1.
  • UHPC ultra-high-strength concrete
  • a receiving space is formed inside the base body.
  • the base body has at least two side walls delimiting the base body in the longitudinal direction, one in The base body has a front wall extending in the longitudinal direction, the outer wall surface of which, when installed, laterally delimits a driveway, a rear wall extending in the longitudinal direction, and a floor. If the base body is used as a curb, it can, for example, delimit a parking space to the front. If used as a kerb, the front wall extends parallel to the road and delimits it, while the rear wall rests against the paving stones of the sidewalk or the asphalt of a cycle path, for example, while the ends of the side walls each rest against an adjacent curb. Please note that in this context, the front wall and the rear wall only refer to part of the rear or front wall, while the side walls extend over the entire depth of the curb and thus form part of the front surface or rear surface of the curb.
  • the base body is open at the top and is closed by a closure cover, which is made in particular from metal or a fiber-reinforced plastic, so that this is arranged on the upper side of the receiving space. It also covers areas adjacent to the upper side of the receiving space, an upper side of the side walls, an upper side of the front wall and an upper side of the rear wall.
  • This four-sided support of the closure cover means that loads from vehicle tires, for example, can be absorbed and evenly distributed into all walls of the curb or kerb. This creates a curb or kerbstone charging device with high strength, since even forces introduced over small areas can always be dissipated in the curb over several areas connected to the foundation.
  • the cover can have windows or openings, for example to make an energy meter display visible or to make a charging socket accessible.
  • a charging unit is arranged in the receiving space.
  • a charging unit is understood to mean either just a charging socket or an inductive charger or a completely self-sufficient charging unit that only requires a power connection and contains all electronic components.
  • individual electronic components of the charging unit such as an energy meter, a charging controller or similar, can also be arranged in the receiving space.
  • a charging unit is understood to mean any individual component or several components that can be used to charge the energy storage device of the electric vehicle or hybrid vehicle.
  • the front wall of the curb or kerbstone loading device is firmly connected to the rear wall via at least one force transmission element.
  • the support of the closure cover prevents overloading of the edge areas of the curb adjacent to the closure cover. Instead, a force acting on the front wall can be diverted or partially absorbed via the rear wall through the fixed connection to the rear wall. It is important to provide a rigid connection in order to be able to divert any bending force immediately.
  • top, bottom, front wall, rear wall, top, floor, side walls and the like always refer to the curb or kerbstone in its installed state on the road with its corresponding orientation and direction of view from the road.
  • reinforcing bars are cast into the base body. These are mainly made of steel and serve to increase the strength and stability of the base body.
  • reinforcing bars are U-shaped and extend from the front wall in a first 90° arc into the ground and over a second 90° arc into the rear wall. In this way, the rigidity and tensile strength of the base body is increased.
  • the U-shape allows forces to be diverted in particular towards the ground and thus to the foundation.
  • a plurality of reinforcing bars extending in the longitudinal direction of the base body are preferably arranged in the base body, which also absorb bending stresses and resulting tensile forces on the rear side of the front wall.
  • two of the longitudinally extending reinforcing bars are arranged in the area of the arches of the U-shaped reinforcing bars and are attached to the U-shaped reinforcing bars, and one of the longitudinally extending reinforcing bars is arranged in an upper quarter of the front wall and the rear wall and is attached to the legs of the U-shaped reinforcing bars.
  • the U-shaped reinforcing bars are thus fixed in their position relative to one another both in the area of their arches and in the upper area by the reinforcing bars extending along the curb, and a closed Grids are created. This reliably absorbs forces acting in different directions in the concrete, thus increasing the durability of the base body.
  • the structure of the reinforcing bars is easy to manufacture and is stable in itself, so that it can be placed as a whole in the mold for the casting.
  • the front wall and the rear wall in the area surrounding the legs of the U-shaped reinforcing bars have a greater wall thickness than in the other areas. This means that the walls that delimit the receiving space can be made very strong with less material. If the bars running in the longitudinal direction extend into the side walls, forces acting via the front wall can also be diverted to the side walls.
  • the closure cover serves as a force transmission element and is firmly attached to the front wall and the rear wall via a screw fastening. Due to this firm connection of the closure cover to both the front wall and the rear wall, forces acting on the front wall are diverted via the cover directly towards the rear wall, which, when installed, rests firmly against the path behind it, so that forces can be diverted to the rear and into the ground or foundation. This connection also reduces tensile stresses, which would occur primarily in the upper area of the rear side of the front wall, since deformation of the front wall is largely reduced by the firm connection via the protective cover. The durability of such a curbstone is therefore significantly increased.
  • the cover serves as a force transmission element and is positively attached to the front wall and the rear wall. This can be done using positioning pins, for example.
  • the screw connection then follows, for example, via the side walls. This means fewer screws are required, so that assembly is also quicker. A preload can also be created against the expected forces.
  • the reinforcement rods protrude from the tops of the rear wall and the front wall and have an external thread on their ends protruding from the base body, to which the closure cover is attached using screw nuts.
  • the force is transmitted between the front wall and the rear wall directly via the reinforcement, which relieves the load on the concrete or plastic walls.
  • the structure is significantly simplified because no further components, such as additional threaded rods, have to be cast around. The costs for producing the curb or kerbstone loading device are reduced accordingly.
  • threaded bolts or sleeves are attached to the front and rear walls, via which the cover is attached to the base body.
  • the steel reinforcement can be dispensed with if necessary and the frictional connection between the front and rear walls can still be established by the frictional connection.
  • the threaded bolts or sleeves are cast into the base body. This allows a firm connection to be made without additional adhesive.
  • the threaded bolts with their external thread protrude from the top of the front wall and the rear wall. This makes it easier to align the cover, which can be placed on the threaded bolts with its corresponding holes and easily screwed on from above.
  • the cover cap rests on the outer circumference with a circumferential profile seal on the top of the front wall, the rear wall and the side walls, and in an area further inward from the profile seal, the cover cap rests on raised areas that are formed on the top of the front wall and the rear wall.
  • the profile seal protects the receiving space from the ingress of water or dirt and is compressed when the nuts are tightened, so that tolerance compensation is achieved and the cover cap always has a circumferential support surface for force transmission.
  • the closure cover and the screw fastening are covered by an outer cover that forms an extension of the walkway.
  • the closure cover only has to transfer the forces to be transferred from the front wall to the rear wall, while the outer cover can absorb vertical forces in particular and divert them to the side walls, the front wall and the rear wall and to the floor.
  • the outer cover When installed, the outer cover preferably completely covers the edges between the top and the outward-facing wall surface of the front wall and the outward-facing wall surface and the top of the rear wall. These edges are thus protected from the introduction of larger forces over a small area, for example due to the impact of a vehicle tire.
  • the outer cover is attached to the closure cover with an intermediate cover in between.
  • the intermediate cover which can be designed as a reinforcing plate, rests with its underside against the closure cover and its upper side against the outer cover. This significantly increases the rigidity of the overall construction and prevents forces from occurring on the outer cover that would lead to major deformation of the outer cover, which means that it can be made significantly thinner.
  • the cover has two internal threads, through which the outer cover is attached to the cover using screws, with the intermediate cover in between. This means that the intermediate cover and the outer cover can be positioned and attached to the cover together using just two screws.
  • the base body has a first rear wall section which extends from the bottom of the base body over a third to three quarters of the height of the base body upwards in the direction of the closure cover with a thicker wall thickness than in the second rear wall section adjoining it at the top.
  • This first rear wall section then extends to under the sidewalk. In this way, an even greater stability of the rear wall for the discharge occurring forces in the surrounding soil or foundation.
  • the force transmission element is formed by partition walls of the base body, which extend in the receiving space from the front wall to the rear wall. This improves the rigidity and thus durability of the front wall, since it is supported by the partition walls to the rear wall, so that here too a force transmission to the rear wall takes place.
  • the partition walls preferably end below the top sides of the front wall and the rear wall, whereby at least existing cabling can continue to be carried out within the receiving space between the individual spaces created by the partition walls if parts of the loading unit are arranged in these.
  • the partition walls advantageously extend between the two legs of a U-shaped reinforcing bar, so that no additional thickenings have to be made on the front wall and the rear wall, which would further restrict the installation space.
  • the thickness of the front wall and the rear wall can therefore be chosen to be relatively small.
  • the closure cover has an outer surface that forms the walkway and is attached to the base body via internally threaded bolts embedded in the area of the side walls, so that the multi-part cover can be dispensed with.
