Description

Speaker unit
This disclosure relates to a speaker unit.
As described in Patent Document 1 below, for example, a speaker unit includes a magnetic circuit, a voice coil bobbin around which a voice coil is wound, a signal transmission circuit connected to the voice coil, and a diaphragm attached to the peripheral surface of the voice coil bobbin. In the speaker unit, when a signal is transmitted from the signal transmission circuit to the voice coil, the voice coil vibrates, and the vibration of the voice coil is transmitted to the diaphragm via the voice coil bobbin.
For example, in-car speaker units need to be mounted in a limited space, so it is desirable to make the speaker unit as a whole thinner. However, in the manufacturing process of the speaker unit, the conductor that serves as the signal transmission circuit is joined to the periphery of the voice coil bobbin by soldering or the like, but this joint may interfere with the diaphragm that is also attached to the voice coil bobbin. If the distance between the joint and the mounting part of the diaphragm is increased in order to avoid such interference between the joint and the diaphragm, this will result in an increase in the size of the speaker unit. Furthermore, making the diaphragm thinner (flatter) will reduce the rigidity of the diaphragm.
This disclosure has been made to solve these problems, and its purpose is to provide a speaker unit that can achieve a thin overall unit while minimizing the loss of rigidity in the diaphragm.
The speaker unit according to the present disclosure includes a voice coil bobbin around which a voice coil is wound, a tinsel wire joined to a conductor connected to the voice coil on the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin, and a diaphragm having an avoidance portion formed in a shape that avoids the joint between the tinsel wire and the conductor.
The speaker unit disclosed herein uses the above-mentioned means to prevent a decrease in the rigidity of the diaphragm while making it possible to achieve a thin overall unit.

As shown in FIG. 4, the yoke 10 (yoke) is a ferromagnetic material for forming a magnetic circuit, and includes a thin, disk-shaped base portion 11 and a cylindrical pole portion 12 that protrudes to one side from the radial center of the base portion 11. The magnet 20 is a permanent magnet for forming the magnetic circuit, formed into a ring shape and placed on the base portion 11 of the yoke 10. The plate 30 is a ferromagnetic material for forming the magnetic circuit, formed into a ring shape and placed on the magnet 20. The yoke 10, magnet 20, and plate 30 form an external magnetic type magnetic circuit.
The frame 40 is formed in a roughly circular ring shape and is supported by the mounting portion 90 shown in FIG. 1. The frame 40 comprises a first frame portion 41 that supports the tinsel wire integrated damper 50 on the radial inside of the pole portion 12, and a second frame portion 42 that supports the diaphragm 70 on the radial outside of the pole portion 12. Both the first frame portion 41 and the second frame portion 42 are supported by the mounting portion 90, and the first frame portion 41 is further supported (placed) by the plate 30.
The tinsel wire-integrated damper 50 is a flexible thin-plate annular member that supports the voice coil bobbin 60, as shown in FIG. 4. The tinsel wire-integrated damper 50 includes a damper 51 and a tinsel wire 52, as shown in FIG. 5. The damper 51 has a ripple-like corrugation portion. The outer edge side of the damper 51 is attached to the first frame portion 41, and the inner edge side of the damper 51 is attached to the outer circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60. The tinsel wire 52 is a strip-shaped lead wire that extends radially along one side of the damper 51 and is woven into the damper 51 to form an integral part with the damper 51.
The voice coil bobbin 60 comprises a bobbin body 61, a voice coil 62, and a conductor 63. The bobbin body 61 is a bobbin for winding the wire that constitutes the voice coil 62, and is formed in a cylindrical shape. The voice coil 62 is wound around the other end (winding point) of the bobbin body 61. The bobbin body 61 is located in the magnetic gap of the external magnetic circuit that is composed of the yoke 10, the magnet 20, and the plate 30. The material of the bobbin body 61 can be, for example, a resin material such as polyimide (PI), a paper material such as craft paper, or a metal material such as an aluminum alloy. The bobbin body 61 is arranged so that the pole part 12 of the yoke 10 is inserted into the cylindrical interior H.
Both ends of the voice coil 62 are connected to the conductors 63. One method of connection is welding using solder. The conductors 63 are connected to one end of the tinsel wire 52, and are provided in a pair with point symmetry centered on the axis A when viewed from the axial direction of the bobbin body 61. In other words, the conductors 63 are provided in a pair with 180° rotational symmetry about the axis A.
The diaphragm 70 is configured to vibrate due to the vibration of the voice coil bobbin 60, and is formed in a generally annular shape centered on the voice coil bobbin 60 in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. The diaphragm 70 comprises a main body portion 71 and a pair of avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B). The inner edge portion of the diaphragm 70 is connected to the voice coil bobbin 60 (i.e., abutting against the outer peripheral surface of the voice coil bobbin 60). The inner edge portion of the diaphragm 70 is fixed to the voice coil bobbin 60, for example, by adhesive. The outer edge portion of the diaphragm 70 is supported by the second frame portion 42 via the edge portion 73.
The main body 71 has an inclined portion 71a and a bent portion 71b. The inclined portion 71a is formed in a cone shape (approximately a truncated cone shape) close to a flat plate. The inclined portion 71a is inclined to one side from a first inner edge portion I1, which is part of the inner edge portion of the diaphragm 70. The inclined portion 71a extends radially toward the outside in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. The bent portion 71b is formed in a ring shape from the outer edge of the inclined portion 71a, and is bent in the axial direction toward the tinsel wire-integrated damper 50 side (the other side) and extends to the outer periphery. The bending angle of the bent portion 71b toward the other side with respect to the axial direction is acuter than the inclination angle of the inclined portion 71a.
The avoidance portion 72A is shaped to avoid the joint X between the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63 on the diaphragm 71. In this embodiment, the joint between the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63 is performed by soldering, and the joint X is a solder portion. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the avoidance portion 72A is shaped to extend radially from a second inner edge portion I2, which is part of the inner edge of the diaphragm 70 and is located on one side of the joint X, to the inclined portion 71a. The avoidance portion 72B has a similar configuration to the avoidance portion 72A.
The avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B are provided so as to be point symmetrical (i.e., rotationally symmetrical) with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60 in correspondence with the conductor 63 described above. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is rotationally symmetrical at equal angles with respect to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, in other words, plane symmetrical with respect to a plane passing through the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, and in other words, point symmetrical with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60. The second inner edge portion I2 in the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B is substantially trapezoidal in shape, convex on one side. Specifically, the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B include a pair of side wall portions 72a and a top plate portion 72b provided at one end of the pair of side wall portions 72a. The pair of side wall portions 72a and the top plate portion 72b each form an obtuse angle.
In this way, at least the top plate portion 72b of the avoidance portions 72A and 72B is positioned on one side of the joint portion X on the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60, and is shaped to cover the joint portion X, thereby avoiding the joint portion X.
The inner periphery of the edge portion 73 is attached to one side of the bent portion 71b, and the outer periphery has a semicircular cross section that is convex toward one side in the axial direction (i.e., the side opposite the bending direction of the bent portion 71b), and the outer edge is attached to the second frame portion 42.
The cap 80 is provided to cover the voice coil bobbin 60 at one end of the voice coil bobbin 60 in order to prevent dust from entering the inside of the voice coil bobbin 60. The cap 80 is generally formed in a flange shape, and includes an insertion portion 81 that is inserted into the inside of the voice coil bobbin 60, and a cover portion 82 that is provided to protrude from the outer circumferential surface of the insertion portion 81 in a plane direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. The cover portion 82 is provided so as to have a gap between the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. The cap 80 has a recess D recessed on the other axial side so as to be inserted into the inside of the voice coil bobbin 60.
The mounting portion 90 has three mounting portions 91 (91A, 91B, 91C). A through hole h is formed in each mounting portion 91 (91A, 91B, 91C). The through hole h is a mounting hole for mounting the speaker unit 1 to a cabinet provided in the vehicle with a bolt.
(Speaker unit operation)
When power is supplied to the voice coil 62 from the signal transmission circuit via the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63, an electromagnetic force is generated in the voice coil 62, and the voice coil 62 vibrates due to its relationship with the magnetic circuit. This vibration is transmitted from the voice coil 62 to the diaphragm 70 via the bobbin body 61. As a result, sound is generated from the diaphragm 70. The vibration direction of the diaphragm 70 is the same as the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60.
(Speaker unit effect)
As described above, the speaker unit 1 of the present embodiment includes the cylindrical voice coil bobbin 60 around which the voice coil 62 is wound, the tinsel wire 52 joined to the conductor 63 connected to the voice coil 62 on the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60, and the diaphragm 70 on which the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed to avoid the joint portion X between the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63. Therefore, even if the conductor 63 is joined to the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the manufacturing process of the speaker unit 1, the diaphragm 70 can be attached to the voice coil bobbin 60 while avoiding interference from the joint portion X. In other words, the diaphragm 70 as a whole can be brought closer to the tinsel wire-integrated damper 50 side, and the voice coil bobbin 60 can be shortened in the axial direction. Furthermore, as a means for avoiding interference from the joint portion X, the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed on the diaphragm 70, rather than cutting out a part of the diaphragm 70 or making the inner edge portion flat, thereby ensuring the rigidity of the diaphragm 70. Therefore, the speaker unit 1 realizes a thin overall unit while suppressing a decrease in the rigidity of the diaphragm 70. In addition, since the avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B) are newly formed while the main body portion 71 of the diaphragm 70 has the inclined portion 71a, it is possible to avoid poor acoustic characteristics due to inefficient vibration propagation in the diaphragm 70 (for example, anti-resonance due to divided vibration).
Also, by providing a damper 51 that supports the voice coil bobbin 60 and attaching the tinsel wire 52 to the damper 51, there is no need to reserve space to place the tinsel wire 52, making it easier to make the entire unit thinner.
The diaphragm 70 also has an inclined portion 71a that inclines to one side from a first inner edge portion I1, which is a part of the inner edge portion that is connected to the voice coil bobbin 60, and the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is shaped so that it is connected to the inclined portion 71a from a second inner edge portion I2, which is a part of this inner edge portion and is located on one side of the joint X. In this way, the first inner edge portion I1 of the inclined portion 71a and the second inner edge portion I2 of the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) are connected to the voice coil bobbin 60, thereby making it possible to strengthen the connection with the voice coil 62.
In addition, the avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B) are rotationally symmetric at equal angles with respect to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, plane-symmetric with respect to a plane passing through the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, and point-symmetric with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60. This makes it possible to make the vibration propagation efficiency uniform throughout the diaphragm 70, thereby avoiding poor acoustic characteristics.
Furthermore, the inner edge of the diaphragm 70 is formed along the outer circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60. This allows the vibrations of the voice coil bobbin 60 to be transmitted to the diaphragm 70 from the entire outer periphery of the voice coil bobbin 60, allowing the diaphragm 70 to vibrate efficiently overall.
The speaker unit 1 further includes a cap 80 that is provided to cover the voice coil bobbin 60 on one side. The cap 80 includes an insertion portion 81 that is inserted into the cylindrical interior H of the voice coil bobbin 60, and a cover portion 82 that is provided to protrude from the peripheral surface of the insertion portion 81 in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. The cover portion 82 is provided to have a gap between the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. As a result, a gap is formed between the cap 80 and the portion of the diaphragm 70 where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed and the portion of the diaphragm 70 where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is not formed. Therefore, a gap is formed between the entire circumference of the inner edge of the diaphragm 70 and the cap 80. Then, by applying an adhesive to this gap, the voice coil bobbin 60 can be connected to the diaphragm 70 over the entire circumference of the inner edge. As a result, deterioration of acoustic characteristics can be suppressed.
Furthermore, the second inner edge I2 of the diaphragm 70 has a convex shape on one side in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the portion where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed, thereby increasing the rigidity of the diaphragm 70 in the vicinity of the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B).
The speaker unit 1 further includes a damper 51 that supports the voice coil bobbin 60, and a bent portion 71b is formed on the outer edge of the diaphragm 70, which is bent toward the damper 51 in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60. Incidentally, the more the cone of the diaphragm is inclined, the higher the rigidity of the cone. If the cone is inclined too steeply, the overall height of the speaker unit will be increased. In this embodiment, by providing the bent portion 71b, the rigidity can be increased without affecting the overall height.
The cap 80 of the speaker unit 1 has a recess D recessed on the other axial side so that it can be inserted into the cylindrical interior H of the voice coil bobbin 60, allowing the speaker unit 1 to be made thinner.

The embodiments described above can be embodied in various other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. These embodiments and modifications are within the scope of the invention and its equivalents as described in the claims, as well as the scope and spirit of the invention.
For example, in the above embodiment, the avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B) are rotationally symmetric at equal angles with respect to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, plane-symmetric with respect to a plane passing through the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, and point-symmetric with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60. However, if the avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B) are at least one of the rotationally symmetric, plane-symmetric, and point-symmetric, it is possible to make the vibration propagation efficiency uniform throughout the diaphragm 70, and to avoid poor acoustic characteristics.
In addition, in the above embodiment, a pair of avoidance parts 72 (72A, 72B) are provided point symmetrically with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60, but the number and arrangement of the avoidance parts 72 are not limited to this. For example, the number of avoidance parts 72 may be at least the same as the number of joints X in the voice coil bobbin 60, and there may be one avoidance part 72 or three or more avoidance parts 72. When multiple avoidance parts 72 are provided, the avoidance parts 72 are preferably arranged in a rotationally symmetric relationship including point symmetry as in the above embodiment. For example, when three avoidance parts 72 are provided, they are preferably arranged at 120 degree intervals in the circumferential direction with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60, and when four avoidance parts 72 are provided, they are preferably arranged at 90 degree intervals in the circumferential direction with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60.
In addition, in the above embodiment, the inner edge portion (second inner edge portion I2) of the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) has a substantially trapezoidal shape, but the shape of the second inner edge portion I2 is not limited to this. For example, the second inner edge portion I2 may be semicircular, triangular, or rectangular.
