전력변환회로인 LDC(Low voltage DC-DC Converter)회로는 고전압을 저전압으로 변환하여 주는 회로로서 OBC회로에서 출력되어 모터구동에 사용되는 고전압의 직류를 저전압인 14V로 변환하여 차량의 전장부품들에서 사용하는 14V의 저전압을 공급한다.
이처럼 차량용 배터리충전시스템은 일반적으로 차량의 운행을 위해 차량탑재형충전기(OBC)와 LDC를 필수적으로 사용하고 있다.
전력분배장치(Power Distribution Unit)는 전기차 구동을 위한 메인 전력 계통의 부품들에 인가되는 전력을 제어하여 효율적으로 분배시켜 줄 수 있게 한다.
등록특허 10-1903121호(2018년 9월 20일 등록, 전기자동차용 충전 및 전력변환 겸용 회로)에는 절연형 역률보상컨버터를 사용하여 회로 구성을 간단히 할 ㅅ-수 있는 회로에 대하여 기재되어 있다.
그러나 차량 탑재형 충전기, 전력분배장치, 전력변환장치는 각각 개별 장치로 구성되며, 각각이 개별 공간을 차지하고 있으며, 각 장치별 하네스 케이블을 이용한 커넥터로 연결하기 때문에 장치의 설치가 용이하지 않으며, 비용이 증가하고, 설치 공간 확보에 어려움이 있는 문제점이 있었다.
상기와 같은 문제점을 감안한 본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제는, 구성요소들을 통합한 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치를 제공함에 있다.
구체적으로, 본 발명은 차량 탑재형 충전기(OBC), 전력변환장치(LDC), 전력분배장치(PDU)를 통합 모듈화하여, 차량 내부의 공간 활용도를 높일 수 있으며, 수냉식으로 내부 열을 냉각시켜 부품의 수명 및 안정성을 향상시킬 수 있는 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치를 제공함에 있다.
상기와 같은 기술적 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치는, 하나의 케이스에 수용되는 차량 탑재형 충전기, 전력분배장치 및 전력변환장치를 포함하되, 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기는 캔 드라이버를 통해 배터리 관리 시스템으로부터 배터리팩의 상태 정보를 수신하고, 배터리팩의 상태 정보에 따라 직류 출력전압의 값을 가변하여 출력하며, 상기 전력분배장치는 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기의 제어에 따라, 릴레이 접점을 변환하여 전력을 분배하고, 상기 전력변환장치는 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기의 직류 출력전압을 입력으로 하여, 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환하여 출력하되, 직류 출력전압의 가변 정보를 수신하여, 일정한 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환할 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시 예에서, 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기, 전력분배장치 및 전력변환장치는, 단일한 냉각관에 의해 냉각될 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시 예에서, 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기는, 상기 캔 드라이버를 통해 배터리팩의 상태 정보를 수신하여, 1차정류기와 트랜스포머 사이에 순차배치되는 PFC 스위치부와 DC-DC 스위치부를 제어하여 직류 출력전압을 가변하는 제1제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명의 실시 예에서, 상기 전력변환장치는, 상기 제1제어부와 통신을 수행하여 직류 출력전압의 가변 정보를 수신하는 제2제어부와, 상기 제2제어부의 제어에 따라 컨버터를 가변 제어하여 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환 제어하는 컨버터 구동부를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명은 전력제어를 위한 요소들을 통합하여 차량 내부의 공간 활용도를 높일 수 있으며, 수냉식으로 내부 열을 냉각시켜 부품의 수명 및 안정성을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치의 블록 연결도이다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일실시 상세 블록 구성도이다.

본 발명의 구성 및 효과를 충분히 이해하기 위하여, 첨부한 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 예들을 설명한다. 그러나 본 발명은 이하에서 개시되는 실시 예에 한정되는 것이 아니라, 여러가지 형태로 구현될 수 있고 다양한 변경을 가할 수 있다. 단지, 본 실시 예에 대한 설명은 본 발명의 개시가 완전하도록 하며, 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 발명의 범주를 완전하게 알려주기 위하여 제공되는 것이다. 첨부된 도면에서 구성요소는 설명의 편의를 위하여 그 크기를 실제보다 확대하여 도시한 것이며, 각 구성요소의 비율은 과장되거나 축소될 수 있다.
'제1', '제2' 등의 용어는 다양한 구성요소를 설명하는데 사용될 수 있지만, 상기 구성요소는 위 용어에 의해 한정되어서는 안 된다. 위 용어는 하나의 구성요소를 다른 구성요소로부터 구별하는 목적으로만 사용될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 본 발명의 권리범위를 벗어나지 않으면서 '제1구성요소'는 '제2구성요소'로 명명될 수 있고, 유사하게 '제2구성요소'도 '제1구성요소'로 명명될 수 있다. 또한, 단수의 표현은 문맥상 명백하게 다르게 표현하지 않는 한, 복수의 표현을 포함한다. 본 발명의 실시 예에서 사용되는 용어는 다르게 정의되지 않는 한, 해당 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 통상적으로 알려진 의미로 해석될 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치의 블록 연결도이다.
도 1을 참조하면 본 발명 전력 제어 장치(100)는, 배터리 관리 시스템(BMS, 200)과 통신을 수행하여 외부의 교류전압을 배터리팩(300)의 충전에 필요한 고전압 직류 전압으로 변환하는 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)와, 저압배터리(400)를 충전하는 전력변환장치(130)와, 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 직류 출력 전압을 상기 배터리팩(300)에 공급하거나 상기 전력변환장치(130)로 분배하는 전력분배장치(120)를 포함하여 구성된다.
본 발명의 전력 제어 장치(100)를 구성하는 차량 탑재형 충전기(110), 전력변환장치(130), 전력분배장치(120)는 하나의 케이스에 수용된다.
케이스는 내열성 및 강도가 우수한 절연 소재로 이루어져, 수냉관을 공유하여 전력 제어 장치(100)의 전체 크기를 줄일 수 있다.
케이스의 표면에는 방열 핀이 형성된 것일 수 있다.
배터리팩(300)은 고압배터리로서, 전기자동차의 주행시 모터에 전력을 공급하며, 에어컨, 스티어링, 에어펌프, 히터 등에도 전력을 공급할 수 있다.
이때의 전력 공급은 별도의 전력분배장치를 사용하여 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 배터리팩(300)의 충전상태, 방전상태(전력공급상태)는 배터리 관리 시스템(200)에서 모니터링 된다.
배터리 관리 시스템(200)은 배터리팩(300)에 공급되는 충전전압, 방전되는 방전전압 등 배터리팩(300)에 대한 다양한 정보를 검출한다.
본 발명 전력 제어 장치(100)는 배터리 관리 시스템(200)과 캔(CAN) 통신을 통해 정보를 수신하고, 수신된 배터리팩(300)의 정보에 따라 충전 및 방전 제어를 수행하게 된다.
도 2는 본 발명 전력 제어 장치(100)의 구체적인 블록 구성도이다.
도 2를 참조하면, 전력 제어 장치(100)는 캔드라이버(118)를 포함하여 배터리팩(300)으로부터 충전 또는 방전 전압의 과전압 여부 등에 대한 정보를 수신하고, 그에 따른 제어를 수행하게 된다.
캔드라이버(118)를 통해 수신된 정보는 트랜시버(117b)를 통해 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 제1제어부(117)로 제공된다. 제1제어부(117)는 CPU 또는 DSP를 사용할 수 있다.
제1제어부(117)는 하위전원공급부(117a)를 통해 공급되는 전원에 의해 동작한다.
차량 탑재형 충전기(110)는 외부의 교류전력(예를 들어 AC 220V)이 공급되면 1차정류부(112), 트랜스포머(115), 2차정류부(116)를 통해 72 내지 100.8V의 직류 전압으로 변환한다.
이때 제1제어부(117)는 상기 1차정류부(112)와 트랜스포머(115) 사이에 직렬로 배치되는 PFC 스위치부(113)와 DC-DC 스위치부(114)를 이용하여 출력 전압을 조정할 수 있다.
PFC 스위치부(113)는 역률의 제어, DC-DC 스위치부(114)는 스위칭 레귤레이터로서 전압을 빠르게 안정화하는 역할을 한다.
즉, 제1제어부(117)는 CAN 통신을 통해 상기 배터리팩(300)의 상태 정보를 확인하고, 과전압 발생시 PFC 스위치부(113)와 DC-DC 스위치부(114)를 통해 출력 직류전압을 조정한다.
또한, 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)는 1차정류부(112)의 전단에서 EMC 필터(111)를 적용하여, AC 전원에 포함된 노이즈를 제거하며, 이때 노이즈의 제거는 절연형 필터를 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명 전력 제어 장치(100)는 하나의 케이스 내에 차량 탑재형 충전기(110), 전력 변환 장치(130) 및 전력분배장치(120)가 통합되어 배치되며, 하나의 캔드라이버(118)를 사용하고, 캔드라이버(118)와 배터리 관리 시스템(200)을 통신선으로 연결하는 것으로, 배터리팩(300)의 상태에 따른 전압 제어가 가능하게 된다.
상기 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 출력전압은 전력분배장치(120)로 입력된다.
전력분배장치(120)는 다수의 릴레이(스위치)와 이를 제어하는 제어부의 구성을 가지는 것으로 한다.
본 발명의 실시 예에서 상기 릴레이를 이용하여 전력분배장치(120)는 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 출력전압을 배터리팩(300)에 공급하여 충전하거나, 전력변환장치(130)로 공급하는 것으로 설명하지만, 상기 배터리팩(300)의 방전전력을 입력받아 구동모터(310), PCT 히터(320), 에어컨(330) 등의 다른 부하에 분배할 수 있다.
전력변환장치(130)는 상대적으로 고전압인 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 출력전압을 저전압 배터리(400)에 충전하기 위하여 저전압의 직류 전압으로 변환하는 역할을 한다.
전력변환장치(130)는 제1필터(131), 컨버터(132), 제2필터(133)를 이용하여 고전압의 직류 전압을 저전압의 직류 전압으로 변환한다.
앞서 설명한 바와 같이 본 발명에서 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 직류 출력 전압은 배터리팩(300)의 상태에 따라 가변되어 출력되기 때문에 컨버터(132)는 가변 컨버터를 사용하여 입력 전압의 변화에도 일정한 전압으로 변환해야 한다.
이를 위하여 전력변환장치(130)에는 제2제어부(135)와 컨버터 구동부(134) 및 전력제어부(136)을 더 포함한다.
제2제어부(135)는 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 제1제어부(117)와 RS232 등의 유선 통신을 이용하여 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)에서 출력되는 직류 전압의 크기에 대한 정보를 수신할 수 있다.
즉, 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 출력 전압은 배터리팩(300)의 상태에 따라 가변되며, 이때 가변된 출력 전압을 입력으로 하는 전력변환장치(130)는 14V의 직류전압을 안정적으로 공급하기 위하여 가변 전압의 정보에 따라 컨버터 구동부(134)를 제어하여 입력전압과 무관하게 DC 14V의 전압을 출력하도록 할 수 있다.
이때 전력제어부(136)는 출력전압에 대한 정보를 제2제어부(135)로 제공하여 출력전압이 DC 14V인지 확인하고, DC 14V가 아니면 다시 컨버터 구동부(134)를 제어하여 저전압 배터리(400)의 충전에 필요한 정확한 전압이 출력되도록 조정할 수 있다.
도 3은 상기 전력분배장치(120)의 블록 구성도이다.
도 3을 참조하면, 전력분배장치(120)는 각각 양극 버스바(121)와 음극 버스바(122)를 포함한다. 상기 양극 버스바(121)는 주버스바(121a)에서 분기되는 다수의 분기버스바(121b~121f)를 포함하며, 각 분기버스바(121b~121f)에는 제1 내지 제5퓨즈(F1~F5)가 각각 직렬로 연결된다.
상기 주버스바(121a)에는 메인 퓨즈(F0)가 직렬로 연결되어 있다.
상기 양극 버스바(121)의 주버스바(121a) 양단은 배터리팩(300)에 인버터 연결단자(124)와 BDU 연결단자(127)에 각각 연결된다.
인버터 연결단자(124)는 실질적으로 2개의 연결단자이며, 각각 배터리 팩(300)과 구동모터(310)의 연결을 위한 것이며, 배터리팩(300)을 선택 제어하는 릴레이는 전력분배장치(120)와 배터리팩(300)의 사이에 위치할 수 있으며, 본 발명에서는 이를 생략하고 설명한다.
상기 제1 내지 제4퓨즈(F1~F4)는 일단이 분기버스바(121b~121e)에 각각 연결되고, 타단은 제1 내지 제4릴레이(RL1~RL4)에 각각 연결된다.
상기 제1 내지 제4릴레이(RL1~RL4)는 통신단자(125)에 연결된 제어기에 의해 접점 전환이 제어된다. 이때 접점 제어를 위한 제어기는 앞서 설명한 제1제어부(117)를 사용할 수 있다.
제1제어부(117)는 앞서 설명한 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 제어부이며, CAN 통신을 통해 배터리팩(300)의 정보를 입력받아 출력전압을 가변하여 출력함과 아울러 전력분배장치(120)의 접점 제어를 수행하도록 구성할 수 있다.
따라서 본 발명은 하나의 제어부를 이용하여 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)와 전력분배장치(120)를 동시에 제어할 수 있는 특징이 있다.
상기 제1릴레이(RL1)는 상기 제1제어부(117)의 제어에 따라 양극 버스바(121)에 연결된 에어컨(330), PTC 히터(320) 등에 전원을 공급하거나 차단하는 역할을 할 수 있다.
또한, 제2릴레이(RL2)는 차량 탑재형 충전기(110)의 출력 전력을 상기 전력변환장치(130)로 공급할 수 있다.
이때 제2릴레이(RL2)의 제어 역시 제1제어부(117)의 제어에 따라 이루어진다.
위의 각 릴레이의 기능은 예시적인 것이며, 필요에 따라 분배대상 기기(60)들 각각에 전력을 선택적으로 공급할 수 있도록 한다.
이와 같이 본 발명 전력 제어 장치(100)는 차량 탑재형 충전기(110), 전력분배장치(120), 전력변환장치(130)를 단일한 모듈로 구성하여, 설치를 용이하게 할 수 있으며, 설치공간의 효율성을 높일 수 있다.
특히 배선을 단순화하고, 방열을 위한 수단을 공유하여 설계 및 설치 작업의 용이성을 확보할 수 있다.
이상에서 본 발명에 따른 실시 예들이 설명되었으나, 이는 예시적인 것에 불과하며, 당해 분야에서 통상적 지식을 가진 자라면 이로부터 다양한 변형 및 균등한 범위의 실시 예가 가능하다는 점을 이해할 것이다. 따라서, 본 발명의 진정한 기술적 보호 범위는 다음의 청구범위에 의해서 정해져야 할 것이다.
본 발명은 자연법칙을 이용하여 전기자동차에 탑재되는 전력 제어장치 요소들을 통합하는 기술에 관한 것으로 산업상 이용 가능성이 있다.
Claims (4)
- 하나의 케이스에 수용되는 차량 탑재형 충전기, 전력분배장치 및 전력변환장치를 포함하되,상기 차량 탑재형 충전기는 캔 드라이버를 통해 배터리 관리 시스템으로부터 배터리팩의 상태 정보를 수신하고, 배터리팩의 상태 정보에 따라 직류 출력전압의 값을 가변하여 출력하며,상기 전력분배장치는 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기의 제어에 따라, 릴레이 접점을 변환하여 전력을 분배하고,상기 전력변환장치는 상기 차량 탑재형 충전기의 직류 출력전압을 입력으로 하여, 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환하여 출력하되, 직류 출력전압의 가변 정보를 수신하여, 일정한 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 차량 탑재형 충전기, 전력분배장치 및 전력변환장치는,단일한 냉각관에 의해 냉각되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 차량 탑재형 충전기는,상기 캔 드라이버를 통해 배터리팩의 상태 정보를 수신하여, 1차정류기와 트랜스포머 사이에 순차배치되는 PFC 스위치부와 DC-DC 스위치부를 제어하여 직류 출력전압을 가변하는 제1제어부를 포함하는 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 전력변환장치는,상기 제1제어부와 통신을 수행하여 직류 출력전압의 가변 정보를 수신하는 제2제어부; 및상기 제2제어부의 제어에 따라 컨버터를 가변 제어하여 저전압 배터리의 충전 전압으로 변환 제어하는 컨버터 구동부를 포함하는 전기자동차의 전력 제어 장치.
