Description
The length and sensitivity of surgeries and clinical examinations in the penis area and heavy bleeding following surgeries, due to the anatomical structure of the spongy tissue and the presence of tissues full of blood vessels such as corpus spongiosum and corpus cavernosum, are significant problems that will disrupt the process of surgery in the penis and testis areas. In order to overcome these problems and facilitate the surgical process, in this invention, a system with the characteristics of holding, fixing, regulating the position of the penis and testis and with the ability to absorb and remove bleeding caused by the surgical process, has been designed and claimed, which will lead to an increase in the speed, accuracy and focus of the surgical team, in the process of surgical interventions or relevant clinical examinations.
The technical background of the claimed patent is in the field of fixating, holding and correct regulation of penis position to facilitate and increase the precision of surgery and clinical examination on penis. The technical background can be searched in patent databases with international patent codes (IPC and CPC) A61B17/00, A61B90/50, and A61B90/60 and in the fields of facilities, instruments of surgery methods, fixators of different parts of the body and auxiliary and support tools for surgery facilities for surgeons.
After searching in international databases related to patent registration, the following were obtained:
In patent number CN110049747B, titled “Penile implant reconstruction and method for implanting penile prosthesis in new penis” one redesigned and reengineered implant made of penis tissue is used to recreate one penis with three sections of distal, proximal and adapter to connect to parts of the distal and proximal.
In patent number CN104042279B, titled “For operating the method and system of surgical instruments”, a type of manual surgery machine that is configured with pieces like multifunctional motor, firing membrane, a sensor sensitive to the amount of membrane firing, controller and a set of input keys so that it can work with several operational cases during the strike and it includes the creation and promotion of firing membrane position and creating a gap in the membrane state.
In patent number US10653427B2, titled “Fixation devices, systems and methods for engaging tissue”, one 4 parts system is used for holding and fixation of heart valves to do the surgery that includes 2 proximal parts and 2 distal parts in which the first part of the proximal can be moved approximately and between the two parts of the distal and can help the steadiness process for heart valves position.
The invention of a system consisting of a component that holds, stabilizes and regulates the position of the penis, which consists of the following sub-parts: the retaining and stabilizing part based on the function of the eye pupil which is a series of concentric pseudo-rotating rings that can move away from and approach each other in a circular path with a function similar to the function of the pupil ,have the ability to change the size subsequently by moving away from or approaching each other. The rotating movement of the rings on each other provides the possibility of changing the status and position of the penis.
The second part covers and blood absorbent pads section in the vicinity of the retaining and stabilizing part based on the pupil function covers pseudo-annular absorbent pads that are embedded to absorb and eliminate bleeding caused by the surgical process. The thin covering connecting the holding and fixing parts are based on the function of the eye pupil.
The material of the thin coating used in the component of holding, fixing and regulating the position of the testis is latex, silicone or polymer. Also, latex has been used as a preferred material in the claimed cover. But in patients who are likely to be allergic to latex, silicone coating or biocompatible polymers such as UHMW Polyethylene, Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) and Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) are used as preferred materials.
As mentioned, the long and sensitive process of surgery and clinical examinations in penis area and extreme bleeding after surgery, because of the anatomic structure of sponge tissue and the tissues full of blood vessels like corpus spongiosum and corpus cavernosum are considerable problems that cause problem in the process of surgery related to the penis and testis regions
In this invention, to solve this problem a holder, fixator and regulator of penis position is used. The whole system includes three holder parts for testis, holder for penis and a fixator and position adjustor plane. The holder part for testis has one regulator and testis position fixator and provides the possibility that during surgeries like orchiectomy, vasectomy, hydrocelectomy, varicocelectomy, Spermatocelectomy and Testicular Torsion Repair that need the fixation of the position of the two testicles with the purpose of correct performance, the system can be used. In surgery processes like vasectomy and spermatocelectomy that need to change the testis position during the surgery, the pupil section is used in order to change and regulate the position of testicles in a new position.
The second part of the system in this invention is the holder of penis that by polymer rings in which the size can be regulated, it has the capability of changing the position and fixating the penis is the new position and the blood absorbative covers beside the mentioned rings are used for absorbing the blood after surgery. It should be noted that the number of these rings and the distances between these rings can be regulated by the surgeon and provides the possibility that according to the considered place of surgery, regulate the distances of holder rings and absorbative covers placed beside the claimed rings. Also, to integrate the penis holder area, a very thin latex, silicon, or polymer cover is used to connect the claimed rings and in addition to that there’s a possibility of easily regulating the direction of the regarded place in surgery for surgery team. Also, during the beginning of surgery, it can be easily cu off and taken from the considered place. It should be noted that under the circumstances where there’s a possibility of allergy to latex, silicon or polymers like Polyurethane, Polyisoprene, and environment-friendly polymers like PPSU, PEAK, PEEK, and UHMW Polyethylene will be used as the material that creates the connective covers.
The third part of the claimed system includes a fixator and position adjustor plane that for facilitating and strengthening the process of fixating the penis position, precise regulation of penis or testis anatomical direction, according to the desired direction of the surgeon and medical team during the surgery and also as a connector and regulator of situation of first and second parts of the system (penis holder and testis holder) compared to each other. It should be noted that regulating the penis and testis anatomical direction is done by this holder plane by the help of stainless-still holder medical wires that on one hand it is connected to the pines on the plane and on the other hand to the polymer rings in penis and testis holder parts. Also, this plane is designed in to positions of mono directional and binary directional that will be used according to the type of surgery, desired position and facilitating handling in each surgery.
As claimed, extreme bleeding after surgery and long and difficult surgery procedure in the region of penis and testis are the most important problems that the surgical team faces during the surgery and it is necessary to establish and adjust the position of the penis and testis in the desired direction for the surgeon and the patient to minimize this problem. In the claimed patent, a system including two holder parts, fixating and regulating of the testis and penis are used so that the process of surgery and clinical examinations are facilitated. Also, as claimed, the surgeon and surgical team need to regulate the position of testis and penis in the desired place in order to perform the surgical interventions correctly and this causes that one of the two hands of the surgeon to be involved in maintaining and adjusting the position of the penis and obviously this leads to distraction during the surgery and beside reducing the concentration, causes the reduction of speed and consequently increases the errors in the surgery and this leads to peripheral harms and eventually increasing the recovery period, reducing the quality of life and marital relationships of the patients. In the claimed patent, the holder and fixator system of the pupil rings with the ability to regulate the pressure and force for the penis body and testis veins are used that are located around the claimed rings, covers and blood absorbative pads and the suction tubes for releasing the blood so that there’s a possibility of blood absorbtion during the surgery and consequently it will lead to disorders caused by bleeding in the surgery and its negative effect on the performance of the surgical team. In addition, two parts and the fixator of pupil rings with the ability of momentarily regulation of pressure and force in the muscles of the penis body and testis veins will be connected to each other with a fixator and position adjustor plane that facilitates the penis position fixating and regulating the desired direction for the surgeon and surgical team and increases the focus and concentration of the surgeon during surgery and consequently it will reduce the side effects.
Examples
The general system of holding, fixing and adjusting the position of the penis and testis claimed in the claimed invention consists of 3 main parts: the fixator and position adjustor plane (1), the holder and fixer based on the pupil function for the testis (2) and the holder and fixer based on the pupil function for the penis (3).
The fixator and position adjustor plane (1) consists of a series of pins (5) installed at specific distances from each other and an output with the ability to change the size of the penis (4). The embedded pins, in a movable form, are embedded on a series of rails in line with the width of the alleged plane, which provides this capability for the surgical team to adjust and optimize the position of the alleged pins in accordance with the desired direction and angle of adjusting and fixing the penis.
The part that holds, stabilizes and adjusts the position based on the function of the pupil for the penis (3) consists of parts of blood absorbent pads (6), suction tubes (7) to drain the blood absorbed by the blood absorbent pads and a thin layer of latex, silicone or polymer (9). . Also, due to the multi-ring concentric circular structure of the alleged rings in the body area (11) and the glans area (12), which has a function based on the function of the eye pupil, in addition to the ability to adjust the pressure and the applied force, by rotating the pseudo-rotary rings on each other, the possibility of changing the position of different parts of the skin and tissue of the penis in the desired direction and position for the surgical team, which will facilitate the speed, accuracy and focus of the surgical team in the process of surgical interventions or relevant clinical examinations.
As shown in the to 17, the rings (13) holding, fixing and regulating the position of the penis in the claimed part, in terms of the distances between each ring, can be easily adjusted by the surgeon or the medical team, before and during the surgical process, and are connected to each other by a thin layer of latex, silicone or polymer (9). Subsequently, with the start of the surgical intervention, the surgeon has the possibility to access the target surgical site and start the surgery by making a cut in the claimed latex, silicone or polymer layer after adjusting the position in the desired direction.
The latex, silicone, or polymer coating used to connect and link the claimed retaining rings, besides integrating and not interfering with the primary mobility of the rings, allows for the secondary stabilization of the rings' position during the surgical process and acts as the first coating to control and reduce the blood pressure coming out of the ruptured vessels in the surgical process and control the effect of severe vascular bleeding that can make the continuation of the surgical process difficult and disruptive. Blood absorbent covers and pads (3) have been installed around the alleged holding and fixing rings to absorb the bleeding that occurred during the surgical intervention process, smoothing the continuation of the surgical process for the surgical team.
Also, in order to prevent saturation of the alleged absorbent covers and pads with blood, which can cause a disturbance in the continuation of the surgical intervention process and subsequent swelling, the possibility of increasing the pressure and force applied to the spongy tissue and the body of the penis in a secondary way, a section consisting of blood suction paths absorbed by the pads has been used to remove the relevant blood and the blood absorption process by the alleged absorbent covers and pads occurs continuously and without saturation.
The holding and fixing part is based on the function of the pupil for the testis (2) of the system of the general system of holding, fixing and regulating the position of the penis and testis, which is claimed to consist of a semi-spherical face with the ability to adjust the diameter and perimeter of the location of the testis. It is based on the function of the pupil part (14), which can be adjusted and changed according to the dimensions of the testis of each patient and fixation degree of the testis desired and targeted by the surgeon. In the lower part, a thin cover made of transparent flexible blood-absorbing polymers (15) and a thin layer of latex, silicone or polymer (10) is designed to minimize the amount of bleeding and collateral damage in the process of surgeries and direct interventions applied in this area, along with adjusting the position and keeping the testis fixed in the place desired by the surgeon. The alleged latex, silicone or polymer coating is designed in the form of a curtain and can be easily assembled in one place by the surgical team according to the conditions and type of surgery. In the inner part, blood absorbent crosslink polymers, which are SAP (superabsorbent polymer) based on polyacrylates such as starch-polyacrylate, polyacrylate-co-acrylamide, cellulose-graft-polyacrylate/polyvinyl alcohol and cellulose-graft-polyacrylamide/Hydroxyapatite, are embedded, which are similar to the chemical structure and function of blood absorbent pads (6) claimed in the part of holding and fixing the penis, in order to reduce the intensity of bleeding and reduce disorders caused by bleeding in the surgical process, followed by surgery, is embedded in the vicinity of the testis holding and stabilizing place.
The main industrial application of the claimed invention is in the field of hospitals and the urology department of hospitals and is specific to urology and andrology specialists and surgeons. Also, according to the type of design used for the third part of the claimed system, followed by the ability to change the size of the penis outlet radius and the ability to position the pins embedded on the screen, this claimed part will have side industrial applications in other surgery departments in the hospital, especially the orthopedics department for orthopedic surgeons and the jaw and face surgery department such as rhinoplasty for cosmetic surgeons.
