Definitions
- Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of diabetics and more particularly to a diabetic sock to increase blood circulation and a method thereof.
- Diabetes is a disease which elevates blood glucose levels in a human body.
- the diabetes may occur in the human body by birth or by lifestyle habits.
- Energy is produced in the human body by metabolism of food particles. Initially, the food particles get converted into dextrose and cells in the human body absorb the dextrose to produce energy. Consumption of excess food results in ramping up of the dextrose levels in the blood which may not be absorbed by the cells thereby causing increased blood glucose levels in the human body. Elevated blood glucose levels may cause various health conditions such as retinopathy, neuropathy, chest pain, atherosclerosis, stroke and the like. The neuropathy results in restricted blood flow towards feet of the humans.
- the restricted blood flow may cause tingling sensation, loss of sensation, pain, burning sensation, and formation of ulcers on the feet of the humans.
- the ulcers may burst and may lead to formation of gangrenes when it comes in contact with microbes. Improper treatment of the gangrene may further result in amputation of the feet.
- Socks available in markets further restricts the blood flow by exerting pressure on the feet once wore. Further, the socks fail to address formation of the microbes inside the socks. Lack of cushioning in the socks may cause pain while walking. Also, lack of grip causes slippage of the feet and may cause discomfort. Additionally, the socks restrict airflow when worn thereby developing bad odour. The socks also contribute to skin irritations or rashes due to interaction between the sewing lines and the feet. Also, the socks fail to supplement blood circulation throughout the feet.
