Description

TABLE FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a table for recreational vehicles such as campers and caravans.
Background Art
In particular, tables for recreational vehicles must ensure functionality and comfort, so as to provide a versatile table top which serves as a desk, work surface, writing desk, dining table and the like.
In this regard, it is known to provide this type of tables with movable elements that allow them to be used differently according to need.
Specifically, tables of known type are movable by the user between an opening configuration, wherein the movable element is open and usable for the performance of one or more activities, and a closing configuration, wherein the movable element is closed to facilitate the performance of other activities that might be impeded by the table in the opening configuration.
In fact, it is well known to design this type of tables in such a way that the movable element, when closed, greatly reduces the overall dimensions of the table itself.
This expedient allows different activities to be carried out within a single area of the recreational vehicle, thus optimizing the use of space.
However, tables for recreational vehicles of known type are susceptible to some improvements.
In fact, the movable elements employed by tables for recreational vehicle of known type limit their use exclusively between a single opening configuration and a single closing configuration.
This drawback greatly reduces the functionality and usefulness of the table, significantly limiting its fields of application.
In addition, moving this type of table between the opening configuration and the closing configuration requires the user to perform time-consuming and complex movement operations of the movable element.
This drawback makes the use of tables of known type complex and inconvenient.
In addition, the mechanical devices employed by this type of tables to enable their movement between the opening configuration and the closing configuration often make these configurations unstable.
This drawback reduces the reliability and stability of the tables of known type.
Therefore, furniture components of known type are complex and inconvenient to use and have reduced utility, reliability and stability.
Description of the Invention
The main aim of the present invention is to devise a table for recreational vehicles which have greater functionality and utility than tables of known type.
A further object of the present invention is to devise a table for recreational vehicles which can be used with greater ease, convenience and speed than tables of known type.
An additional object of the present invention is to devise a table for recreational vehicles which can be used with greater stability and reliability than tables of known type.
Another object of the present invention is to devise a table for recreational vehicles which can overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art within the framework of a simple, rational, easy and effective to use as well as affordable solution.
The aforementioned objects are achieved by this table having the characteristics of claim 1.
The aforementioned objects are achieved by this recreational vehicle having the characteristics of claim 10.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of a table for recreational vehicles, illustrated by way of an indicative, yet nonlimiting example, in the attached tables of drawings in which:
Figure 1 is an axonometric view of the recreational vehicle and of the table according to the invention; Figures 2-8 are axonometric views of the table moved among a plurality of configurations according to the invention;
Figure 9 is an axonometric view of the table according to the invention.
Embodiments of the Invention
With particular reference to these figures, reference numeral 1 globally denotes a table for recreational vehicles.
The table 1 for recreational vehicles comprises at least one table top 2, defining at least one resting surface 3 of the table 1 and provided with at least two resting bodies 4, wherein at least one of the resting bodies 4 is movable close to/away from the other one and to vary the extension of the resting surface 3.
In particular, at least one of the resting bodies 4 is movable close to/away from the other one to vary the overall dimensions of the table top 2.
Preferably, at least one of the resting bodies 4 is coupled to the other and is movable close to/away from the latter to reduce/increase, respectively, the extension of the table top 2.
Further embodiments of the table 1 cannot however be ruled out, wherein at least one of the two resting bodies 4 is movable in a removable manner to be moved close to/away from the other resting body 4 to increase/decrease, respectively, the extension of the resting body 4.
Advantageously, each of the resting bodies 4 defines a portion of the resting surface 3 which is made accessible when the resting bodies 4 themselves are moved away from each other.
In addition, the table 1 comprises at least one supporting body 5 connected to the table top 2.
In particular, at least one of either the supporting body 5 or the table top 2 is movable with respect to the other one.
According to the invention, the table 1 is movable between: at least a first opening configuration, wherein the resting bodies 4 are moved close to each other, the table top 2 is moved away from the supporting body 5 and the supporting body 5 supports the table top 2 in a substantially horizontal position, thus allowing a user to take advantage of the resting surface 3 (Figure 4); at least a second opening configuration, wherein the resting bodies 4 are moved away from each other, the table top 2 is moved away from the supporting body 5 and the supporting body 5 supports the table top 2 in a substantially horizontal position, thus allowing a user to take advantage of the resting surface 3 (Figures 1, 2 and 9); at least one closing configuration, wherein the table top 2 is moved close to the supporting body 5 and extends substantially parallel to the latter, thus reducing the overall dimensions of the table 1 compared to the first and to the second opening configuration (Figures 7 and 8).
Preferably, in the opening configurations, the supporting body 5 is arranged substantially transverse, preferably orthogonal, to the table top 2.
Advantageously, the table top 2 is coupled movable close to/away from the supporting body 5 to allow the table 1 to be moved between the closing configuration and at least one of either the first or the second opening configuration and vice versa.
According to the invention, in the closing configuration, the table top 2 is arranged facing the supporting body 5.
Preferably, in the closing configuration, the resting bodies 4 are moved close to each other to reduce the overall dimensions of the table top 2.
Conveniently, in the closing configuration, the table top 2 is arranged substantially orthogonal to a stable surface, on which the supporting body 5 preferably rests directly and/or indirectly.
In addition, in this configuration, the table top 2 extends substantially vertical downwards substantially starting from the supporting body 5 as far as substantially reaching the stable surface.
Specifically, the table top 2 is movable in rotation with respect to the supporting body 5 around an axis of rotation A between the closing configuration and at least one of either the first or the second opening configuration and vice versa.
According to the invention, the table top 2 rotates along an upward trajectory during the transition of the table 1 from the closing configuration to the first or the second opening configuration.
Conversely, the table top 2 rotates along a downward trajectory, preferably equal and opposite the upward trajectory, during the transition of the table from the first opening configuration or the second opening configuration to the closing configuration.
Preferably, the extension of the table top 2, measured in the first opening configuration, is substantially equal to the distance between the fulcrum of rotation of the top itself and the stable surface.
Thus, in the closing configuration, the table top 2 extends to substantially occupy the distance between its fulcrum of rotation and the stable surface.
Conveniently, the table 1 comprises holding means 6, positioned between the table top 2 and the supporting body 5 and adapted to hold the table top 2 in the opening configurations.
Specifically, the holding means 6 comprise at least one movable member 12 which, in the first and in the second opening configuration, is positioned between the table top 2 and the supporting body 5 and holds the table top 2, thus preventing the table 1 from moving to the closing configuration.
Usefully, in these configurations, the movable member 12 extends starting from the table top 2 as far as it substantially reaches the supporting body 5, preferably transverse to the two.
In the closing configuration, on the other hand, the movable member 12 is arranged substantially parallel to the table top 2 and to the supporting body 5.
Conveniently, the movable member 12 is connected in a movable manner between the table top 2 and the supporting body 5, preferably by interposition of corresponding holding members, connected to the table top 2 and to the supporting body 5, respectively.
Advantageously, the holding means 6 comprise at least one block/release assembly, not shown in the figures, configured to: fix the position of the movable member 12 in the opening configurations, preventing the transition thereof to the closing configuration; and release the movable member 12, allowing it to be moved, to enable the transition of the table 1 between the closing configuration and the opening configurations and vice versa.
Preferably, the holding means 6 are of the type of one or more folding brackets. Conveniently, the supporting body 5 defines at least one housing 7 which is adapted to at least partly accommodate the table top 2 in the closing configuration.
Preferably, the supporting body 5 comprises at least one base body 8 and at least one pair of side rails 9, coupled on opposite portions of the base body 8 to define the housing 7 with the latter.
Specifically, in the closing configuration, the table top 2 is arranged facing the base body 8 and positioned between the side rails 9.
Advantageously, in the closing configuration, at least one of the side rails 9 defines with the table top 2 a slot 10 adapted to allow the user of the table 1 to insert his or her fingers into it, e.g., to guide the table top 2 within the housing 7 and/or to pull the table top out of the housing.
Conveniently, the table 1 comprises at least one holding body 11 which is movable with respect to the table top 2 between at least one home configuration, wherein it is arranged substantially parallel to the table top 2, and an extracted configuration, wherein it is arranged substantially transverse to the table top 2 to hold it.
Conveniently, the holding body 11 is connected to the table top 2.
Preferably, in the extracted configuration, the holding body 11 is arranged to rest on the stable surface.
Advantageously, the holding body 11 is of the retractable type.
In other words, in the home configuration, the holding body 11 is hidden from view.
Conveniently, in the opening configurations, the holding body 11 operates in conjunction with the supporting body 5 to hold the table 1.
In the closing configuration, however, the holding body 11 is positioned between the table top 2 and the supporting body 5.
Conveniently, the table 1 comprises securing means, not shown in the figures, configured to: block the position of the holding body 11 in at least one of either the extracted configuration or the home configuration, so as to prevent the accidental transition of the holding body 11 to the other configuration; and/or release the holding body 11 to allow the transition thereof between the extracted configuration and the home configuration.
Specifically, the holding body 11 is coupled movable in rotation with respect to the table top 2 around an axis of revolution B between the home configuration and the extracted configuration.
According to the invention, the holding body 11 rotates along a downward trajectory during the transition from the home configuration to the extracted configuration.
On the other hand, the holding body 11 rotates along an upward trajectory, preferably equal and opposite the downward trajectory, during the transition from the extracted configuration to the home configuration.
Advantageously, the holding body 11 is of the telescopic type.
In other words, the overall dimensions by length of the holding body 11 is adjustable.
In this way, in the opening configurations, the holding body 11 is movable in the extracted configuration and extendable downward to meet the resting surface.
Conveniently, the table 1 comprises at least one attachment assembly, not shown in the figures, configured to: block the position of the holding body 11, so as to prevent its lengthening and/or shortening; and/or release the holding body 11 to allow it to be lengthened and/or shortened.
The movement of the holding body 11 from the extracted configuration to the home configuration is shown in Figures 4 to 6.
Advantageously, at least one of the resting bodies 4 is coupled movable in rotation with respect to the other one around an axis of tilting C between the first opening configuration, wherein the resting bodies 4 are at least partly overlapping to reduce the extension of the table top 2, and the second opening configuration, wherein the resting bodies 4 are arranged side by side, preferably coplanar, to increase the extension of the table top 2.
In other words, one of the resting bodies 4 is of the tilting type in rotation with respect to the other.
Preferably, the resting bodies 4 are hinged to each other.
Specifically, in the first opening configuration, the resting bodies 4 face each other substantially parallel and preferably overlap substantially to size.
According to the invention, during the transition of the table 1 from the first opening configuration to the second opening configuration, one resting body 4 rotates with respect to the other along a first upward trajectory and then along a second downward trajectory, preferably making a rotation substantially of 180°. Similarly, during the transition of the table 1 from the second opening configuration (Figure 2) to the first opening configuration (Figure 3), the same resting body 4 rotates with respect to the other along an upward trajectory, preferably equal and opposite the second downward trajectory, and then along a downward trajectory, preferably equal and opposite the first upward trajectory, preferably making a rotation substantially of 180°.
Advantageously, the table 1 comprises attachment means 13a, 13b provided with at least two fastening elements 13a, 13b, associated with respective resting bodies 4 and coupleable to each other in a removable manner to lock the resting bodies 4 together with each other in the first opening configuration and in the closing configuration.
Specifically, in the first opening configuration, the fastening elements 13 a, 13b are arranged facing each other and coupled together.
Preferably, the fastening elements 13a, 13b are coupled with /uncoupled from each other as a result of the movement of the table top 2.
In other words, the fastening elements 13a, 13b are substantially automatically coupled to each other when the resting bodies are moved to the first opening configuration. On the other hand, the fastening elements 13a, 13b are uncoupled from each other when between the resting bodies 4 an away movement force is exerted which is greater than a predefined threshold force.
Usefully, the attachment means 13 a, 13b are of magnetic type and preferably the fastening elements 13a, 13b are bodies that magnetically attract each other.
Thus, in the closing configuration, the attachment means 13a, 13b secure the resting bodies 4 to each other and prevent these from accidentally moving away from each other.
Conveniently, the table top 2 comprises at least one supporting frame 14 provided with at least two movable portions 15, wherein at least one of the movable portions 15 is coupled movable close to/away from to the other one to reduce/increase the extension of the supporting frame 14 in the first and in the second opening configuration, respectively.
In this way, the movable portions 15 adapt to the extension of the table top 2, thus holding it.
In other words, each resting body 2 is held by at least one different movable portion 15.
According to the invention, in the second opening configuration, the movable portions 15 are moved away and preferably the supporting frame 14 supports the table top 2 along its entire extension.
Conveniently, at least one of the movable portions 15 is coupled movable close to/away from to the other one in a telescopic manner.
In other words, the movable portions 15 reduce/increase the extension of the supporting frame 14 in a linear manner.
Conveniently, the table 1 comprises at least one anchoring assembly, not shown in the figures, configured to: block the mutual position of the movable portions 15 so as to prevent them from reducing/increasing the extension of the supporting frame 14; and release at least one of the movable portions 15 to allow reducing/increasing the extension of the supporting frame 14.
Specifically, the holding body 11 is mounted on the supporting frame 14. In even more detail, the holding body 11 is mounted on a movable portion 15. Conveniently, the holding body 11 is mounted on a movable portion 15 different from that arranged at a shorter distance from the supporting body 5 when the movable portions 15 are moved away from each other.
Preferably, the holding body 11 is mounted on the movable portion 15 arranged further from the supporting body 5 when the movable portions 15 are moved away from each other.
According to a possible, but not exclusive, embodiment of the table 1, the supporting body 5 is coupleable to at least one wall 16 in a removable manner between at least one fixed configuration, wherein it is attached to the wall 16, and at least one free configuration, wherein it is released from the wall 16 to allow the free movement of the table 1.
In this way, the table 1 is locked together with a wall 16 that holds it, for example within an area where the table is routinely employed (Figures 1 through 8) and, if necessary, it is released from the wall 16, for example, to be transported within another area where it is only held by the supporting body 5 and possibly by the holding body 11 (Figure 9).
Further embodiments of the table 1, wherein the supporting body 5 is locked together with the wall 16, cannot however be ruled out.
According to a further possible, but not exclusive, embodiment of the table 1, the supporting body 5 coincides with a wall 16.
In this embodiment, unlike the previous one, the table 1 is locked together with the wall 16 that holds it, with no possibility of removal.
According to another possible, but not exclusive, embodiment of the table 1, the wall 16 is the wall of a recreational vehicle 17.
According to a further aspect, the present invention relates to a recreational vehicle 17 comprising at least one table 1.
Preferably, the wall 16 described with reference to the previous description of the table 1 coincides with the wall of the recreational vehicle 17.
Specifically, the vehicle 17 comprises at least one seat 18 arranged in the proximity of the table 1, the table top 2 of which is arranged to the side of the seat 18 in the closing configuration.
In addition, in the opening configurations, the table top 2 is placed in front of the seat 18 to allow a user to simultaneously use the seat 18 and the table top 2. Advantageously, the table 1 comprises at least one supporting top 19, coupled to at least one of the supporting body 5 and the wall 16 in a removable manner.
Specifically, the supporting top 19 is movable between at least one opening position, wherein it is arranged substantially horizontal and usable by a user and wherein the table 1 is in the closing configuration, and at least one closing position, wherein the supporting top 19 is arranged substantially vertical and facing the wall 16 and wherein the table 1 is in one of the opening configurations.
Specifically, the supporting top 19 overlies the table top 2.
In addition, the supporting top 19 is smaller in size than the table top 2.
Preferably, the table top 2 and the supporting top 19 are arranged transverse, preferably orthogonal, to each other.
Preferably, when the table 1 is in the closing configuration, the supporting top 19 covers substantially the entirety of the table top 2 above.
In this way, when the table 1 is in the closing configuration, the supporting top 19 defines a supporting surface for the user.
Usefully, the supporting top 19 is coupled movable in rotation to at least one of either the supporting body 5 or the wall 16.
Specifically, the movement of the table 1 from the closing configuration to the opening configuration causes the movement of the supporting top 19 from the opening position to the closing position as a result of the push of the table top 2 on the supporting top 19.
The transition of the supporting top 19 from the closing position to the opening position is shown in Figures 7 and 8.
It has in practice been ascertained that the described invention achieves the intended objects.
In particular, the fact is emphasized that the first opening configuration, the second opening configuration and the closing configuration give greater functionality to the table for recreational vehicles than tables of known type.
In addition, the resting bodies and the movable portions give the table for recreational vehicles greater ease, convenience and speed of use than tables of known type. In addition, the holding body gives more stability and reliability to the table for recreational vehicles than tables of known type.
