- Cancer is the number one cause of death in Japan, and the number of deaths is increasing year by year as average life expectancy increases. Early diagnosis is considered most important in reducing the number of deaths from cancer, but in many cases there are no characteristic symptoms in the early stages, and by the time the cancer is diagnosed, the cancer has already progressed and treatment is difficult. It has become. In addition, for cancers such as pancreatic cancer, even if cancer tissue can be removed through surgery, the recurrence rate after surgery is high, so post-operative monitoring is essential. Therefore, simple cancer testing methods such as blood tests play an important role because they can be reliably effective if properly implemented.
