Description

Modular mining powered head gate support with the recovery of coal from a main gate in the top coal caving system of work
01 The subject of the invention is the powered head gate support with the recovery of coal from a longwall gate road in the top coal caving system of work. There are known structures of the gate shield that cooperate with longwall systems of mining thick coal seams, using the top coal cav- 05 ing method. The top coal caving method for the exploitation of thick coal seams is based on the fact that bottom layer of the seam is mined using the longwall method, while the roofing layer, after being crushed with blasting works, is discharged into the longwall working from the gob side to the second face conveyor. The output from both face conveyors is 10 transported to the beam stage loader. The known design solutions of the gate shields cooperating with longwall systems of mining thick coal seams by the top coal caving method do not allow for the extraction of coal from the longwall gate road beyond the longwall advance.
15 The Polish patent specification No. PL 177421 describes a modular head gate support of a longwall heading with the longwall gate road, con taining two side modules and a central module between them, which modules are mutually parallel and each of them includes a base, canopy and legs between the canopy and base, the side modules are linked trans- 20 versely by connectors and the central module is associated with the side modules longitudinally by hydraulic cylinders. The modular support, according to the invention has one and the same caving shield fastened to the ends of the canopy ends of the side modules and the caving shield has a lower part connected to the canopies of side modules with one upper 5 lemniscate connector with each of the bases and a rear lemniscate con- nector common to both side modules. The inclinable and sliding canopies are fastened to the front end of the side modules' canopies.
The central module canopy has an inclinable canopy fastened to the rear end, supported by a leg, the other end of which rests on the base of the central module.

The powered roof support unit according to the invention has a caving shield connected to the canopy, equipped with an opening for discharging the output, closed with a slidable plate and a folding output chute. The caving shield is supported by two hydraulic legs built on one end on the base and on the other end on the caving shield between the edge of the opening and the edge of the caving shield. A conveyor is fas tened to the base.

Advantageous effects of the invention
The powered head gate support with the recovery of coal from a longwall gate road in the top coal caving system of work, according to the invention, ensuring safe work of service staff under the roof support in this area, thanks to the large discharge space, enables the extraction of coal from the longwall gate road behind the wall advance, increasing the daily output, which protects the crushed coal located in this area against spontaneous combustion due to its significant reduction in the amount.
The risk of self-ignition slows down the longwall advance and forces the use of preventive methods that significantly increase the costs of extraction. Additionally, the possibility of self-ignition significantly worsens work safety. Description of the drawing figures The object of the invention is shown in the drawing, in which Fig.
