- US6377858B1 discloses a system and method for recording and controlling the on/off events of devices in a residence.
- the invention describes a security system that provides security for a building or residence with occupancy simulation in the devices used in the building, intended for property owners to deter vandalism and theft.
- the purpose of the invention is to prevent theft incidents at times when they are most likely to occur, even before any action begins, by producing light and sound scenarios that create a sense of occupancy as if someone is inside the residence when the insured property owners are not present, using an electronic device designed to deter unauthorized entries, positioned as a single device.
- the invention describes an electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries, which includes a circuit board that provides data flow with a mobile device connected to a cloud environment provided by a central server; a controller that is electrically connected to the circuit board and simulates sounds and lights in a residence, activating a pre-determined unauthorized entry deterrence scenario; a motion sensor that is connected to the controller to provide electrical transmission in case of motion detection, and detects movement within the residence; an audio output element that provides the output of a pre-recorded sound from a sound module, activated through the controller within the residence; and a lighting element that provides light control, activated through the controller within the residence.
- the electronic device is set to activate the pre-determined unauthorized entry deterrence scenario in the controller when an unauthorized entry is detected, providing sound output through the sound module and lighting through the lighting element within the residence.
- This provides a cloud-based, low-cost electronic device that operates according to the Internet of Things (loT) concept, for example, to prevent theft situations.
- the starting point is to prevent the risk of theft in homes, and it can be positioned as a home companion that is much cheaper and more flexible in terms of local culture adaptation than global competitors, even offering personalization possibilities, making it difficult to be learned by risk factors.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention includes a voltage regulator that is connected to the controller to provide a direct current supply and automatically maintains a stable voltage level. This ensures the proper functioning of the circuit components, eliminating the risk of failure.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention includes a semiconductor element that is connected to the controller to provide power control and electrical transmission to the lighting element. This enables a low-voltage, high-speed switching circuit structure.
- the semiconductor element is an IRFZ44 model, an N-channel MOSFET type, and is in a TO-220 package. This IRFZ44 MOSFET is an N-channel power MOSFET. Additionally, the IRFZ44 MOSFET has a 60V gate-source voltage and a 48A continuous output current.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is configured to connect the electronic device to a cloud environment through a network device in accordance with the Internet of Things (loT) concept.
- This provides a cloud-based, low-cost electronic device that can operate according to the loT concept with internet access.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is configured to allow the mobile device connected to the cloud environment to adjust the unauthorized entry deterrence scenario. This makes it possible for a mobile device connected to the cloud to remotely communicate and make adjustments related to the device, such as scenario modifications.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is configured to receive a list of all previously paired mobile devices and pre-determined unauthorized deterrence scenarios from the mobile device connected to the cloud environment. This allows for viewing connected devices that have previously accessed the device and pre-defined scenarios through a mobile device connected to the cloud in a remote communication manner.
- access to unintentional connections can be restricted to prevent infiltration by authorized users, and real-time tracking related to the device, such as real-time tracking in case of an unauthorized entry situation, can be performed.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention includes an internal storage unit that allows storing incoming data on the central server. This enables the data shared in the cloud environment provided by the central server to be stored in a storage unit located on the central server.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is configured to allow bidirectional data flow between the cloud environment and the storage unit through the central server. This enables access to data, such as old recorded instant status data, from the storage unit whenever desired.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention includes a plastic enclosure that surrounds the circuit board to protect it from external influences. This provides a discreet device that can be securely transported if desired and does not attract attention during a potential malicious act, such as a burglary when an intruder is observing the premises.
- Figure 1 is a schematic representation of the general operating status of the electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries according to the invention.
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries according to the invention.
- Figure 3 is a schematic representation of the device circuit related to the electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries according to the invention.
- Figure 1 schematically shows the general working condition of an electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries, which is the subject of the invention.

- an electronic device (12) providing deterrence is placed inside the residence (10).
- a predetermined unauthorized entry deterrence scenario (18) is loaded or assigned in the electronic device (12).
- This unauthorized entry deterrence scenario (18) can be prepared by accessing the electronic device (12) remotely through a cloud environment (40) with a mobile device (38).
- the mobile device (38) can be, for example, a smartphone providing internet access.
- the connection between the mobile device (38) and the electronic device (12) operates according to the Internet of Things concept and is connected to each other through a network device (36).
- the network device (36) can be, for example, a modem (gateway) or a type of network connection device (hub).
- the electronic device (12) simulates sounds and lights and determines an unauthorized entry detection situation (20) and activates the unauthorized entry deterrence scenario (18).
- the cloud environment (40) infrastructure to which the electronic device (12) is connected is provided by a central server (42).
- An internal storage unit (44) is located on the server for storing incoming data through the central server (42).
- shared data in the cloud environment (40) provided by the central server (42) can be stored.
- the unauthorized entry deterrence scenario (18) can be arranged with the mobile device (38) connected to the electronic device (12) via the cloud (40) environment, i.e., the creation or removal of unauthorized entry deterrence scenarios (18) can be ensured.
- the ability of a mobile device (38) to make adjustments related to the device (12) remotely facilitates the use of the electronic device (12).
- a list of all pre-paired mobile devices (40) and predetermined unauthorized deterrence scenarios (18) can be obtained with the mobile device (38) connected to the cloud (40) environment, thus devices that have previously accessed the device (12) and previously defined scenarios can be viewed.
- access restrictions can be provided for unauthorized connections to prevent infiltrations by authorized users.
- FIG 2 an electronic device for deterring unauthorized entries, which is the subject of the invention, is shown in perspective.

- the "NodeMCU” development board is used as the controller (22).
- the NodeMCU development board provides a low-cost open-source loT (Internet of Things) platform.
- a Wi-Fi module on the controller (22) that provides internet access.
- a motion sensor (24) for the controller (22) to simulate the movements in the residence (10). The motion sensor (24) sends an electrical signal to the controller (22) when motion is detected.
