Description
INTERLOCKED ROLLER
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a roller conveyor with a interlocking roller, which prevents the materials on the roller conveyor from moving backwards in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the conveyor when the conveyor stops when the flow direction is upwards.
State of the art
The conveyor system is the mechanism that minimizes manpower in distribution and transfer. Roller conveyors are used to transport piece goods such as ingots, slabs, casting pots, rolled goods, pipes, billets and crates on horizontal and slightly upward or downward inclined roller tracks. The goods are conveyed on rollers that are evenly spaced on the conveyor chassis. According to their mode of operation, roller conveyors are divided into powered roller conveyors or idler roller conveyors. The rollers of the powered conveyors are rotated around their axis by a motor. The motion is transmitted to the transmitted trowel through friction. In idler roller conveyors, the force is applied directly to the load and the rollers are rotated by the friction of the load in translational motion along the conveyor bed. The moving force is transmitted to the load by means of elements such as clamps, rods or endless chains with pushing parts and ropes placed at certain intervals. Idler roller conveyors usually have a slight inclination sufficient to allow the weight to overcome the low value friction force. They are also called weight conveyors.
Idler roller conveyors are placed at an inclination of 1 - 1 .5% to facilitate the movement of the load. This amount of slope (1.5 to 3 [cm] drop per 1 [m] length) allows the load to travel on the rollers under its own weight. The produced products pass to the conveyor with double rows of rollers and upward inclination. The longitudinal movement on the conveyor is provided by a chain equipped with clamps. The cylindrical rollers of idler conveyors are usually made of steel tubes and equipped with cast or pressed flanges. Rollers generally have a spindle and sealed ball bearings fitted on both sides of the spindle. The main difference between powered roller conveyors and idler roller conveyors is that the rollers are rotated by means of motors and drivetrains. In multiple rotation, the motion is transferred to the rollers via a bevel gear pair, usually with a longitudinal spindle. The rollers of light-duty
powered roller conveyors are driven by a chain rotating on sprockets mounted on the roller journals. In very light-duty conveyors, the motion is transmitted by means of additional friction rollers, which are frictionally actuated by a rotating belt. In the roller conveyors in use today, the materials transported on the rollers run back due to the existing slope in case the conveyor stops, especially if the flow direction is upstream. The material moving with its own weight presses on the roller in the direction of the inclination when the conveyor stops and may cause the roller to rotate uncontrollably. This can lead to work accidents and damage to materials.
As a result, the need for a interlocking roll that eliminates the disadvantages of the existing technique and the inadequacy of existing solutions necessitated a development in the relevant technical field.
Brief Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a interlocking roller which meets the above requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages, preventing the materials on the roller conveyor from moving backwards in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the conveyor when the conveyor stops when the flow direction is upwards.
Based on the state of the art, the aim of the invention is to prevent the reverse rotation of the roller when there is a stop in the inclined conveyor thanks to the developed interlocking roller, and to eliminate the problem of the material escaping back on the conveyor.
The aim of the invention is to prevent the uncontrolled movement of the rollers with material on them when the conveyor stops thanks to the lock mechanism.
Another object of the invention is to prevent the rollers from rolling back due to the effect of the load on the rollers by allowing the interlocking mechanism to move in one direction.
Another aim of the invention is to prevent work accidents and damage to the transported materials by controlling the roller movement even when the conveyor is stationary.
The invention will be better understood thanks to detailed description set out by way of making reference to such figures and figures given below together with all advantages and
structural and characteristic features and for this reason, evaluation should be performed by considering detailed description and such figures.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the interlocking roller (10) which prevents the materials on the roller conveyors of the invention from moving backward in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the conveyor when the conveyor stops when the flow direction is upward in the roller conveyors of the invention is described only as an example for a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.
The interlocking roller (10) shown in Figure-1 includes a interlocking mechanism (13) to prevent the rollers on the roller conveyor, on which the materials are transported, from moving in the opposite direction of the flow in case the conveyor stops. The aforementioned interlocking mechanism (13) ensures that the roll rotates in one direction only. The said interlocking mechanism (13) comprises a lower cover (131) positioned at the bottom to prevent the cylindrical balls (133) from falling out during assembly; an interlocking cage (132) that compresses the cylindrical ball (133) and prevents reverse rotation when the roll wants to run in the opposite direction; a cylindrical ball (133); and an upper cover (134) positioned at the top to prevent the cylindrical balls (133) from falling out during assembly. The said locked roller (10) has a bearing housing (12) pressed by the key way projection so that the interlocking mechanism (13) does not rotate inside.
A cylindrical tube (11) is positioned at the outermost part of the said locked roll (10). The spindle (20) passing through the center of the said tube (11) carries all the elements on it. Bearing housing (12) is positioned at the bottom of the interlocking mechanism (13) and bearing (14) is positioned at the outer part. The outer labyrinth (15) is placed at the top of the bearing (14). On top of the outer labyrinth (15), the inner labyrinth (16), the dust cap (18) and the dust seal (19) are placed respectively. There is a circlip (17) between the inner labyrinth (16) and the dust cap (18).
The said locked roll (10) locks the rollers in one direction by means of the interlocking mechanism (13). Unlike standard rollers, the bearing housing (12) is deeper and keyed. The interlocking cage (132) in the interlocking mechanism (13) consists of 4 slots in a structure that narrows towards the direction of rotation of the roll. Cylindrical balls (133) are placed inside the said slots and the lower part is closed by the lower cover (131) and the upper part by the upper cover (134). The interlocking mechanism (13) is centered externally on the key in the bearing housing (12) and internally on the spindle (20). When the roll wants to turn in the opposite direction, the cylindrical balls (133) are squeezed between the narrowing slots in the interlocking cage (132) and the spindle (20) and interlocking takes place.
