Description

Filler neck storage structure
The present invention relates to a filler neck storage structure in which the tip of a filler neck forming a fuel filler port is stored in a recess provided on the side surface of a vehicle body such as an automobile, and the opening of the recess is opened and closed by a lid.
Generally, a fuel filler port is provided on the side of the vehicle body of a vehicle such as an automobile. A vehicle fuel filler port is formed at the tip of a filler neck that connects to a fuel tank provided on the vehicle body. The tip of the filler neck is housed in a recess that opens on the side surface of the vehicle body, and the opening of the recess is closed by a lid so that it can be opened and closed. Generally, the tip of the filler neck is housed in a recess so as to be inclined upward toward the outside in the vehicle width direction to facilitate insertion of the fuel nozzle. Additionally, a cap is attached to the tip of the filler neck to close the fuel filler port.
With this filler neck storage structure in which the tip of the filler neck is housed in the recess, water can enter the recess from between the top of the lid and the periphery of the recess during rain or car washes, causing the cap to leak. It may drip. At this time, the problem is that water that drips inward in the vehicle width direction from the topmost point of the cap flows inward in the vehicle width direction through the cap and attaches to the filler neck, causing rust on the filler neck. was there.
In order to solve this problem, the lid has a lid outer provided on the outside in the vehicle width direction and a lid inner provided on the inside in the vehicle width direction, and a water receptacle that extends upward toward the inside in the vehicle width direction at the upper end of the lid inner. A device in which a portion is provided has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The water receiving portion of the inner lid can guide water that has entered the recess from between the outer lid and the peripheral edge of the recess to the outside of the recess.
Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2007-153011
The water receiving portion of the lid inner described in Patent Document 1 guides water that has entered the recess between the lid outer and the lid inner, which are provided on the outside in the vehicle width direction. If water guided by the water receiving portion of the lid inner remains between the lid inner and the lid outer, the remaining water may cause rust on the lid outer. Furthermore, there is a problem in that rust on the lid outer affects the appearance of the exterior of the vehicle body.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to suppress rust from forming on the lid outer and filler neck.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention includes a recess that is provided on a side surface of a vehicle body and has an opening that opens outward in the vehicle width direction; A filler neck storage structure including a filler neck, a cap attached to the tip of the filler neck so that the fuel filler port can be opened and closed, and a lid that opens and closes the opening of the recess, a lid outer located on the outside in the vehicle width direction, and a lid inner located on the inside in the vehicle width direction, and the lid inner is located between the upper edge of the lid and the uppermost part of the cap in the vehicle width direction and the vehicle longitudinal direction. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the filler neck storage structure 10 is provided, for example, above a rear tire (not shown) on a side surface of a vehicle body 1 of a vehicle such as an automobile. In addition, in the following, the vertical direction, longitudinal direction, and vehicle width direction are based on a vehicle stopped on level ground. In addition, in the following description of the lid 2, the up-down direction, the front-back direction, and the vehicle width direction refer to directions when the recess 11 is closed by the lid 2.
As shown in FIG. 1, the filler neck storage structure 10 includes a recess 11 provided on the side surface of the vehicle body 1, a fuel filler port 12 provided at the lower part of the recess 11, a lid 2 that opens and closes the recess 11, and a lid 2. The protector 14 is attached to the inner side of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction.
The recess 11 is formed by recessing the side surface of the vehicle body 1 inward in the vehicle width direction. Specifically, an inner edge 1a of an opening 15 formed on the side surface of the vehicle body 1 is provided with a flange bent inward in the vehicle width direction, and an outer edge 11a of a concave member 11 is formed in a concave shape on the flange of the inner edge 1a. is fixed and formed.
The recess 11 has a top wall 17, a support wall 18, and a bottom wall 19. The upper wall portion 17 extends inwardly and downwardly in the vehicle width direction. The support wall portion 18 extends downward and outward in the vehicle width direction from the inner end of the upper wall portion 17 in the vehicle width direction. The bottom wall portion 19 extends from the lower end of the support wall portion 18 inward and downward in the vehicle width direction at a slight inclination.
A through hole 18a is formed at the center of the support wall portion 18 in the front-rear direction. The tip of the filler neck 30 that forms the oil supply port 12 passes through the through hole 18a. The filler neck 30 is connected to a fuel tank (not shown), and a cap 31 that closes the fuel filler port 12 is attached to the tip thereof. The tip of the filler neck 30 is tilted and supported by the support wall 18 in such a manner that it becomes upward as it goes outward in the vehicle width direction. A seal member 32 seals between the outer periphery of the tip of the filler neck 30 and the inner periphery of the through hole 18 a of the support wall 18 .
The lid 2 is rotatably attached to the front of the recess 11 so that the opening 15 can be opened and closed. As shown in FIG. 3, the lid 2 is formed from a panel material such as a sheet metal, and has an outer shape along the periphery of the opening 15. As shown in FIG. The lid 2 includes a lid outer 13 located on the outside in the vehicle width direction and forming the outer surface (outer surface in the vehicle width direction) of the lid 2, and a lid outer 13 located on the inside in the vehicle width direction and forming the inner surface (inner surface in the vehicle width direction) of the lid 2. It has a lid inner 20.
The side surface of the lid outer 13 is inclined outward in the vehicle width direction as it goes downward. In this embodiment, the side surface has a first upper surface part 13a and a first lower surface part 13b, and the first upper surface part 13a has a smaller inclination with respect to the ground than the first lower surface part 13b, and the first upper surface part 13a A first fold line 13d is formed between the first lower surface portion 13b and the first lower surface portion 13b. Further, the lid outer 13 is formed with a flange 13c that is formed along the periphery of the first upper surface portion 13a and the first lower surface portion 13b and stands upright inward in the vehicle width direction. As shown in FIG. 3, the flange 13c located at the upper edge portion of the first upper surface portion 13a extends downwardly inward in the vehicle width direction, and its tip ends at the uppermost point of the cap 31. It is located inside the T in the vehicle width direction.
The inner lid 20 is joined to the inner side surface of the outer lid 13 in the vehicle width direction, and the side surface thereof is inclined along the outer lid 13. In this embodiment, the side surface has a second upper surface part 21 and a second lower surface part 22. The second upper surface portion 21 is arranged so as to be inclined outward in the vehicle width direction as it goes downward along the first upper surface portion 13a of the lid outer 13. As shown in FIG. 4, an extending plate portion 21a that extends upward along the first upper surface portion 13a is formed near the center of the second upper surface portion 21 in the front-rear direction. The extending plate portion 21a has a pair of first protrusions 21b, 21b provided at intervals in the front-rear direction. The pair of first protruding parts 21b, 21b are formed to bulge inward in the vehicle width direction away from the first upper surface part 13a of the lid outer 13. The pair of first protrusions 21b, 21b each have a protruding surface facing inward and downward in the vehicle width direction, and the protruding surfaces are flat. Attachment holes 21e for attaching the protector 14 are provided on the protruding surfaces of the pair of first protrusions 21b.
A second protrusion 21c is formed on the second upper surface part 21 and extends from between the pair of first protrusions 21b, 21b of the extending plate part 21a to below the first protrusions 21b, 21b. In this embodiment, the lower end of the second protrusion 21c is located at the lower end of the second upper surface part 21. The second protruding portion 21c is formed to bulge inward in the vehicle width direction away from the first upper surface portion 13a of the lid outer 13. The second protruding portion 21c has a protruding surface facing inward and downward in the vehicle width direction, and the protruding surface is a flat surface. The protruding surface of the second protruding portion 21c and the protruding surfaces of the pair of first protruding portions 21b, 21b are located on the same plane. The second protrusion 21c has a hem portion 21d extending in both the front and rear directions at its lower part. The hem portion 21d is located below the pair of first protrusions 21b, 21b, and has a width in the vehicle longitudinal direction compared to the upper part of the second protrusion 21c, that is, the portion above the hem portion 21d of the second protrusion 21c. It is widened toward the front and rear of the vehicle to increase its size. The lower end of the hem portion 21d has a smaller slope with respect to the ground than the protruding surface.
As shown in FIG. 2, the second protrusion 21c is located so as to overlap the front-rear central portion of the tip of the filler neck 30 when viewed from the vehicle vertical direction. The front end and the rear end of the hem 21d of the second protrusion 21c are located on the outer side of the front end of the filler neck 30 in the front-rear direction. As shown in FIG. 3, the lower end portion of the hem portion 21d is located on the outer side of the cap 31 in the vehicle width direction.
In the second upper surface portion 21, a first passage L1 is formed between the first protrusion 21b and the second protrusion 21c located on the front side, and the first passage L1 is formed between the first protrusion 21b and the second protrusion located on the rear side. A second passage L2 is formed between the second passage L2 and the second passage L2. As shown in FIG. 4, the first passage L1 connects the rear end of the first protruding part 21b on the front side and the front end of the second protruding part 21c, and the lower end of the first protruding part 21b on the front side and the upper end of the hem part 21d. formed between. The second passage L2 is formed between the front end of the first protrusion 21b on the rear side and the rear end of the second protrusion 21c, and between the lower end of the first protrusion 21b on the rear side and the upper end of the hem 21d. .
The second lower surface portion 22 is arranged so as to be inclined outward in the vehicle width direction as it goes downward along the first lower surface portion 13b of the lid outer 13.
As shown in FIG. 1, the protector 14 is formed from a synthetic resin plate member. The lower part of the protector 14 is attached to the attachment hole 21e of the first protrusion 21b with a fixing member 34 such as a synthetic resin clip or push rivet. The protector 14 comes into surface contact with and covers the upper parts of the protruding surfaces of the two first protrusions 21b and the upper parts of the protruding surfaces of the second protruding part 21c.
As shown in FIG. 3, the protector 14 is disposed along the second upper surface portion 21 of the inner lid 20 so as to be inclined downward toward the outside in the vehicle width direction. The upper edge of the protector 14 is located inward in the vehicle width direction from the tip of the flange 13c on the upper edge of the lid outer 13 and inward in the vehicle width direction from the uppermost point T of the cap 31. There is. Further, the lower edge of the protector 14 is located further outward in the vehicle width direction than the uppermost portion T of the cap 31. Both ends of the protector 14 in the front-rear direction are located on the outer side of the filler neck 30 in the front-rear direction. The protector 14 is designed so that, for example, even when the vehicle is tilted back and forth at a generally assumed inclination angle with respect to the ground, both ends of the protector 14 in the front and back direction are located on the outside of the filler neck 30 in the front and back direction. Even if the vehicle tilts to the left or right after the generally assumed inclination angle with respect to the ground, the upper end of the protector 14 is inward in the vehicle width direction with respect to the uppermost point T of the filler neck 30, and the lower end of the protector 14 is It is preferable that the filler neck 30 is designed to be located outward in the vehicle width direction with respect to the uppermost point T of the filler neck 30.
The filler neck storage structure 10 according to the first embodiment is configured as described above. As shown in FIG. 3, in the filler neck storage structure 10, a protector 14 is attached to the inside of the extending plate portion 21a of the inner lid 20 in the vehicle width direction. Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the protector 14 is located above the uppermost portion T of the cap 31. In the filler neck storage structure of this embodiment, the protector 14 is located between the upper edge of the flange 13c of the lid outer 13 and the uppermost point T of the cap 31. This positional relationship allows the protector 14 to receive water that has entered between the upper inner edge 1a of the opening 15 and the upper edge of the lid 2, and allows water to flow inward in the vehicle width direction from the uppermost point T of the cap 31. can be prevented from being exposed. In this embodiment, the protector 14 is also located between the flange on the upper inner edge 1a of the opening 15 and the uppermost portion T of the cap 31. As a result, even if the cooling water that has flowed down along the side surface of the vehicle body 1 falls along the flange of the upper inner edge 1a of the opening 15, the water will flow inward in the vehicle width direction from the uppermost point T of the cap 31. It is possible to prevent this from happening.
Further, the protector 14 extends downward toward the outside in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, the water received by the protector 14 is guided to the passage (first passage L1 and second passage L2) provided between the pair of first protrusions 21b while moving downward on the protector 14. (see arrow in Figure 2). Since the guided water passes through the passage, water can be stably discharged from between the protector 14 and the lid inner 20.
As shown in FIG. 3, the lower end of the protector 14 is located further outward in the vehicle width direction than the uppermost portion T of the cap 31. Therefore, water dripping from the lower end of the protector 14 hits the end surface of the cap 31 (outside the uppermost point T in the vehicle width direction). Since the water flows along the end surface of the cap 31 and downward toward the outside in the vehicle width direction, it is possible to prevent the filler neck 30 from being covered with water.
The lid inner 20 of the filler neck storage structure 10 is formed with a pair of first protrusions 21b that protrude inward in the vehicle width direction. The pair of first protrusions 21b can reinforce the inner lid 20. Further, by attaching the protector 14 to the pair of first protrusions 21b, the lid inner 20 can be reinforced by the protector 14. Furthermore, since the passage is formed by the pair of first protrusions 21b for attaching the protector 14, there is no need to set up a separate structure for forming the passage.
Furthermore, a second protrusion 21c is provided between the pair of first protrusion 21b. The lid inner 20 can be reinforced by the second protrusion 21c. Furthermore, by providing the protector 14 on the second protrusion 21c, the protector 14 can also be supported by the second protrusion 21c.
In addition, since the second protrusion 21c is located at the top of the cap 31, the water flowing through the passage avoids the top of the cap 31 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. It is possible to further prevent water from getting on the inside.
Further, a hem portion 21d of the second protruding portion 21c extends in the front-rear direction, and the front and rear ends of the hem portion 21d are located on the outer side of the tip of the filler neck 30 in the front-rear direction. Due to the hem portion 21d, the water guided into the first passage L1 and the second passage L2 without dripping from the lower end of the protector 14 drips from the positions of both ends of the hem portion 21d in the front and back direction, and the cap 31 can be prevented from being covered with water. Further, the lower end portion of the hem portion 21d is located on the outer side in the vehicle width direction with respect to the cap 31. Therefore, it is possible to further prevent water dripping from the lower end of the hem portion 21d from covering the cap 31.
The protector 14 of the filler neck storage structure 10 is a plate member made of synthetic resin. Since the protector 14 having this shape is not bent, it is difficult to break even when an external force is applied, and manufacturing costs can be reduced. Furthermore, even when the lid 2 is open, there is no risk of injury due to the upper edge of the protector 14. Further, as shown in FIG. 3, since the upper edge of the protector 14 is located inward in the vehicle width direction than the upper edge of the flange 13c of the lid outer 13, injuries caused by the upper edge of the flange 13c of the lid outer 13 can be prevented. This makes it even safer.
A filler neck storage structure according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described based on FIGS. 5 and 6. The second embodiment differs from the above-described first embodiment in that the protector 14 is attached to the upper wall 17 of the recess 11. In other configurations, those that are considered to be the same as those in the first embodiment are given the same reference numerals, and the explanation thereof will be omitted.
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, in the filler neck storage structure according to the second embodiment, a support portion 11c that protrudes outward in the vehicle width direction is formed at the upper part of the upper wall portion 17 of the recess 11. The protector 14 is attached to the support portion 11c so as to be located above the filler neck 30.
In the filler neck storage structure according to the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, when the lid 2 is closed, the lower part of the protector 14 is connected to the upper part of the pair of first protrusions 21b of the lid inner 20. It is located near or in contact with the upper part of the second protrusion 21c. Furthermore, the protector 14 is located between the flange 13c of the lid outer 13 and the filler neck 30. Therefore, in the second embodiment as well, as in the first embodiment described above, water that enters between the upper inner edge 1a of the opening 15 and the upper edge of the lid 2 is not received by the protector 14. This makes it possible to prevent water from getting on the inside of the tip of the filler neck 30 in the vehicle width direction.
