- Example 4 The freeze-dried aerosol-generating material of Example 1 or Example 2 is ground to provide a loose powder with an average size of from about 500 pm to about 1000 pm. As a fibrous cellulose acetate tow is gathered and formed into a cylindrical plug, the powdered aerosol generating material is added so that it is embedded in and distributed throughout the support material to form a substrate.
- the freeze-dried aerosol-generating material of Example 1 or Example 2 is ground to provide a loose powder with an average size of from about 10 pm to about 50 pm. 200 mg of the powder is then added during the manufacture of a sheet of air-laid paper so that the particles of aerosol-generating material are embedded within the structure of the air-laid sheet.
- the air-laid paper sheet is then overlaid with an aluminium foil sheet that will act as a susceptor.
- the two sheet payers are then rolled to form a rod comprising the support material, aerosol-generating material and heating material.
- the particles of the aerosol-generating material are surrounded by the first support (the air-laid paper) and the second support (the sheet of heating material), which protect it and hold in in place.
- Example 1 The freeze-dried aerosol-generating material of Example 1 or Example 2, particles of tobacco material, and particles of a metal heating material are co-extruded to form a solid mass that is cut to a desired size and used in a consumable as an aerosolgenerating substrate.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne des substrats comprenant un matériau générateur d'aérosol entouré d'un support, le matériau générateur d'aérosol comprenant un matériau précurseur séché comprenant un extrait d'une matière végétale contenant un arôme et/ou un actif et éventuellement un matériau de formation d'aérosol. Les substrats peuvent être utilisés pour générer un aérosol. Par exemple, les substrats peuvent être utilisés dans des systèmes de fourniture d'aérosol combustible ou non combustible. L'invention concerne également des systèmes de fourniture d'aérosol comprenant les substrats et des procédés de fourniture d'un substrat.
