Description

Water Drain with Glass/Jug Washing Feature
Technical Field
The invention relates to water drains with glass/jug washing feature, which enable the water to be discharged to be transmitted to the sewer in washbasins and sinks in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, terraces, balconies and gardens.
Prior Art
Pipelines that provide the transmission of waste water related to common use in buildings to the central sewerage are generally called water drains. Water drains ensure that water is transmitted to the pipeline in places such as toilets, bathrooms and sinks where water is used. The aforementioned water drains generally consist of basic parts such as siphon, gasket and strainer.
In the prior art, it is very difficult to clean the inside of the items that are used frequently, such as glasses, jugs, feeding bottles, bottles, which have a deep and narrow inner chamber. The inside of the mentioned items is usually cleaned with the help of a brush or sponge.
In the prior art, there are apparatuses known as "pitcher rinser-jug rinser". Said apparatuses are generally positioned on the edge of the sink or in a different arrangement. In order to position the said apparatus in the sink, the sink must be drilled and a separate installation must be drawn. In addition, the spring in the apparatus in question may lose its function by being deformed after a time due to use. When the spring cannot fulfil the pushing force, there may be leaks in the apparatus in question.
A glass washing apparatus is mentioned in the Korean utility model document with the code KR200469895, which is included in the prior art. The glass washing apparatus in question has support bars on it. When the glass to be washed is pushed onto the said support bars, water comes from the spray bar. The glass washing apparatus mentioned in the said document is only for providing pressurized water. When the washing process is completed, the used water is sent to the sewage system from the sink drain. In order to use the apparatus in question, it is necessary to drill on the sink by performing additional operations. In addition, the use of an additional apparatus in or around the sink causes a narrowing of the usage area.
Purpose of the Invention The aim of the invention is to obtain a water drain that works integrated with the glass/jug washing apparatus.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a glass/jug washing function to the existing water drain in sinks and washbasins.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a water drain with glass/jug washing feature, which can be easily assembled without the need for technical knowledge and tools.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a water drain with a glass/jug washing feature, which does not occupy extra space on the existing sink and sink, and which is mounted to the existing water drain hole of the sink.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a water drain with a glass / jug washing feature, which can be easily dismantled when not desired, and can be easily installed when needed.
The water drain developed to achieve the mentioned purposes contains:
- at least one water outlet (42) for conveying the water to be discharged to the sewage line, at least one water inlet (41) for supplying the wash water to be conveyed to the injector tube (80) and/or the blender tube (80a) and, a siphon (40) positioned below the sink (130), having a siphon fixing hole (43) in which the screw (10) and the on-off shaft (50) for securing the siphon (40), the strainer (20) and the sink (130) to each other are positioned,
- an on-off shaft (50) having at least one water inlet hole (51) which, when pressed on the injector tube (80) or the blender tube (80a), moves downwards to an open position and allows water from the water inlet (41) to be conveyed to the water outlet holes (83) or the blender holes (101) or the nozzle hole (113),
- strainer (20), which ensures that the water to be discharged is transmitted from the sink (130) chamber to the siphon (40) and the siphon (40) is positioned on the upper part of the sink (130) and the siphon (40) is mounted on the said sink (130).

Explanation of the Invention
The invention relates to a glass/jug washing apparatus that works in sinks and sinks in areas such as kitchen, bathroom, toilet, terrace, balcony, garden. The apparatus of the invention contains screw (10), strainer (20), siphon-strainer gasket (30), siphon (40), on-off shaft (50), spring (60) and blind plug (70). In addition, the apparatus mentioned includes injector tube (80), blender tube (80a), pressure plate (90), blender (100) and nozzle (110) according to use.
The apparatus, which is the subject of the invention, is positioned in the sinks (130) located in areas such as kitchen, bathroom, toilet, terrace, balcony and garden. Positioning is done using the already existing drain hole of the sink (130) without any additional drilling. The apparatus that is the subject of the invention has the same dimensions as the sink (130) expenses, which are in the prior art and have standard dimensions. Thanks to the same dimensions, it can be easily mounted on all washbasins used in the prior art.
Siphon- strainer gasket (30) and siphon (40) are located at the bottom of the sink (130). The strainer (20), on the other hand, is positioned on the upper part of the sink (130). The strainer (20) and the siphon (40) are fixed to each other with screws (10). The strainer (20) ensures that the siphon (40) is fixed to the sink (130). With the mentioned fixing process, the assembly of the apparatus subject to the invention into the sink (130) is completed. The apparatus mounted inside the sink (130) is shown in figure -26.
While the screw (10) connects the strainer (20) and the siphon (40) to each other, it also ensures that the apparatus of the invention is firmly fixed in the sink (130). The screw (10) is passed through the strainer fixing hole (21) into the siphon fixing hole (43). There are threads (11) on the screw (10) that provide the fixing function. Said threads (11) are fixed to the screw threads (43.1) in the siphon fixing hole (43) located on the siphon (40). In addition, the nozzle of the screw (10) has a diameter of Rl. The strainer fixing hole (21) located in the middle of the strainer (20) has a diameter of R2. Rl diameter is larger than R2 diameter. Since the diameter of Rl is larger than the diameter of R2, the siphon (40) can be fixed to the sink (130). There is a fixing channel (12) on the screw (10). The fixing channel (12) is wide enough to enter coins. Thanks to the fixing channel (12), fixing with a coin can be performed without using any auxiliary tools (screwdriver, etc.). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the length, shape and width of the fixing channel (12) can be changed. In the preferred application of the invention, a grub screw (10) is used.
The strainer (20) in the apparatus that is the subject of the invention ensures that the water desired to be discharged is transmitted from the sink (130) to the siphon (40). Siphon strainer gasket (30) is positioned between the siphon (40) and the strainer (20) so that it remains below the sink (130) to prevent possible leakage.
The siphon (40) on the apparatus subject to the invention has at least one water inlet (41) and at least one water outlet (42). The water coming from the building installation is connected to the siphon (40) via the water inlet (41). After washing and rinsing, the waste water in the sink (130) is sent to the sewage system via the water outlet (42).
If the on-off shaft (50) is closed, the water taken over the water inlet (41) remains between the blind plug (70) and the on-off shaft (50). When the pressure plate (90) or the nozzle (110) is pressed from above, the on-off shaft (50) moves down and comes to the open position. In this way, the water coming from the water inlet (41) is transmitted to the pressure plate (90), the blender (100) and/or the nozzle (110) via the injector tube (80) or the blender tube (80a).
Water inlet fixing threads (41.1) are located on the outside of the water inlet (41). The water inlet fixing threads (41.1) interlock with the threads of the water tube coming from the building installation, ensuring easy and leak-proof mounting.
A spring (60) is positioned between the on-off shaft (50) and the blind plug (70). The spring (60) continuously pushes the on-off shaft (50) upwards and ensures that the said on-off shaft (50) remains in the closed position. In addition, the spring (60) is connected to the injector tube (80) or the blender tube (80a) together with the on- off shaft (50). When a force is applied to the injector tube (80) or the blender tube (80a) from above, the on-off shaft (50) comes to the open position and the spring (60) is compressed downwards. When the pressure applied to the injector tube (80) or the blender tube (80a) is cut off, the compressed spring (60) pushes the on-off shaft (50) upwards and ensures that the said on-off shaft (50) comes to the closed position.
The water inlet (41) on the siphon (40) is located at the bottom of the on-off shaft protrusion (52). Thanks to the fact that the on-off shaft protrusion (52) stays above the water inlet (41), the on-off shaft (50) is pushed upwards by the water mains pressure.
The pushing force of said water assists the pushing force of the spring (60). With the help here, deformation of the spring (60) over time is also prevented. In alternative applications of the invention, the apparatus subject to the invention can also operate with the force of the mains pressure without the spring (60).
There are water inlet holes (51) on the on-off shaft (50) for the water coming from the water inlet (41) to pass through. When a pressure is applied to the pressure plate (90) or the nozzle (110), the said water inlet holes (51) correspond to the water inlet (41). In this way, it is ensured that the water comes out from the water outlet holes (83) on the injector tube (80) and/or the blender holes (101) on the blender (100) and/or the nozzle hole (113) on the nozzle (110). When the water inlet holes (51) on the on-off shaft (50) are clogged or when the spring (60) needs to be changed, the blind plug (70) can be removed and the interior can be intervened.
There is a fixing channel (71) in the lower outer part of the blind plug (70). With the fixing channel (71), the blind plug (70) is fixed in its position in the siphon (40) and easily disassembled when necessary. Said fixing channel (71) has the shape and width that the coin can enter. In this way, it can be disassembled and mounted manually without using any additional tools. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the fixing channel (71) can be used as star, hex, etc. It can also be in shapes that can be opened with a screwdriver.
The spring housing (72) is located on the upper part of the blind plug (70). The spring housing (72) has the shape and size in which the spring (60) can enter. Thanks to the spring housing (72), it is ensured that the spring (60) stops properly without sliding left and right. In addition, there is a spring fixing protrusion (53) on the on-off shaft (50), which ensures that the spring (60) stays smoothly without shifting to the right and left.
The on-off shaft (50) is pushed upwards by the spring (60). An on-off shaft protrusion (52) is located at the bottom of the on-off shaft (50). Said on-off shaft protrusion (52) fits into the fixing hole protrusion (44) located in the siphon (40) with the pushing force of the spring (60) and the mains water. In this way, the on- off shaft (50) is prevented from moving upwards through the siphon (40).
The fixing hole protrusion end (44.1), facing the on-off shaft protrusion (52) of the fixing hole protrusion (44) located in the siphon (40), has a shape that tapers towards the tip. The on-off shaft seal (120) fits into said fixing hole protrusion end (44.1). Thanks to the narrowing shape of the fixing hole protrusion end (44.1), it penetrates better into the on-off shaft seal (120) and a complete sealing is provided between the on-off shaft (50) and the siphon (40).
When the on-off shaft (50) comes to the open position, pressurized water comes out from the water outlet holes (83) on the injector tube (80). In addition, in systems where a blender tube (80a) is used, pressurized water comes out through the blender hole (101) and/or the nozzle hole (113). It is ensured that the interior of the goods to be washed and/or rinsed with pressurized water is washed. With the pressure, it is ensured that the containers of semi-fluid products such as jam, molasses and honey are easily washed.
When the assembly process is completed, a part of the on-off shaft (50) remains inside the injector tube hole (13). In alternative applications of the invention, a collar can be used to prevent water from leaking on the on-off shaft (50). With the collars, any leakage that may occur on the on-off shaft (50) is prevented, while at the same time it is ensured that the on-off shaft (50) moves easily. In different alternative embodiments of the invention, the on-off shaft (50) may contain different numbers of collars.
Two water outlets (42) are positioned on the siphon (40) to be used in double sink (130) systems. The siphon (40) in the apparatus subject to the invention has two water outlets (42). In this way, the product subject to the invention can be easily mounted in two-sink (130) systems. A water outlet (42) of the siphon (40) which has two water outlets (42) can be closed with a blind plug. In this way, the same siphon (40) can also be used in systems with a single sink (130). In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the siphon (40) may have a single water outlet (42) or more than two water outlets (42). In figures-1, 2, 4 and 19 in the drawings of the invention, a siphon with two water outlets (42) is used. In Figures 3, 5 and 20, a siphon (40) with a water outlet (42) is used. Siphons with one and two water outlets (42) can be used interchangeably.
Water outlet fixing threads (42.1) are located on the outside of the water outlet (42). The water outlet fixing threads (42.1) interlock with the threads of the tube going to the building waste water system to ensure easy and leak-proof mounting.
The apparatus that is the subject of the invention is used with different end configurations as fixed-ended and rotary-ended. In the fixed-end configuration, the pressure plate (90) is positioned on the injector tube (80). In addition, there are water outlet holes (83) positioned at various angles on the injector tube (80). The water outlet holes (83) ensure that the water is sent with pressure and at a certain angle. The water outlet holes (83) are located on the nozzle of the injector tube (80). There is a water outlet hole (83) in the middle of the nozzle part of the injector tube (80). There are also water outlet holes (83) around the water outlet hole (83) in the middle. In the preferred application of the invention, the water outlet hole (83) in the middle looks straight (90 degrees) upwards, while the water outlet holes (83) on the sides have an a angle. Angle a is between 30 and 60 degrees. In an alternative application of the invention, the number of water outlet holes (83) and their outlet angles can be changed depending on demand and need. With the water outlet holes (83) positioned at different angles, better washing and rinsing of the item to be washed/rinsed is ensured.
There are threads (82) on the upper part of the injector tube (80) used in the fixed- end application. The threads (82) located here are interlocked with the threads (91) on the pressure plate (90) and ensure that the pressure plate (90) is fixed to the injector tube (80). The pressure plate (90) is easily fixed to the injector tube by turning it by hand. The pressure plate (90) provides easy washing/rinsing of the interior of kitchen utensils with a small depth, such as glasses, bowls, and cups. There are spaces (92) on the said pressure plate (90). After the washing process is completed with the spaces (92), it is ensured that the water used is directed to the water outlet (42) without any accumulation.
The collars (81) are positioned to prevent the water coming under pressure on the injector tube (80) from leaking. Thanks to the collars (81), the water coming under pressure is prevented from coming out of any place other than the water outlet holes (83). While the said collars (81) prevent leakage, they also ensure that the injector tube (80) moves easily within the injector tube hole (13). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the injector tube (80) can contain different numbers of collars (81) or can be used without a collar (81).
The injector tube (80) and blender tube (80a) can be easily removed by pulling it by hand without using an additional tool, when it is not desired to be used. However, the said injector tube (80) and blender tube (80a) can be easily inserted into the siphon fixing hole (43) with the help of hand, again without using any auxiliary tools, when it is desired to reattach to the sink. In this way, the user can use the sink (130) as s/he wishes. When the injector tube (80) and the pressure plate (90) or the blender tube (80a) are removed, there is no water leakage since the on-off shaft (50) remains in the siphon (40).
The blender tube (80a) is used in the rotary tip application of the invention. The blender tube (80a) has an elongated shape. Thanks to its elongated shape, it provides better washing / rinsing of kitchen utensils such as deeper glasses, coffee pots. There are recess (81a) and slot (82a) on the blender tube 80a. The recess (81a) has the shape and size that the fixing protrusion (114) on the nozzle (110) can enter. By inserting the fixing protrusion (114) into the recess (81a), the nozzle (110) is fixed to the blender tube (80a).
The collars (83a) are positioned so that the water coming under pressure on the blender tube (80a) does not leak. Thanks to the collars (83a), the water coming under pressure is prevented from coming out of any place other than the blender holes (101) and the nozzle holes (113). While the said collars (83a) prevent leakage, they also ensure that the blender tube (80a) moves easily within the screw (10). In alternative embodiments of the invention, the blender tube (80a) may contain different numbers of collars (83a) or can be used without a collar (83a).
The slot (82a) in the blender tube (80a) ensures that the water coming over the water inlet (41) is transmitted to the nozzle (110). There is a nozzle hole (113) on the nozzle (110), which allows the water to rise upwards in a pressurized manner. At the edges of the nozzle hole (113), there are channels (112) connected with the said nozzle hole (113). The channels (112) ensure that the water is directed 360 degrees to the right and left. Glass, bowl, etc., to be washed/rinsed with the mentioned channels (112). It is ensured that the water touches all parts of the inner sole of the goods. In addition, the nozzle hole (113) is prevented from clogging during washing as a result of the applied pressure.
There are cambers (111) between the channels (112) on the nozzle (110). With the cambers (111), clogging of the channel (112) and the nozzle holes (113) during washing/rinsing is prevented.
There are two centring protrusions (115) at the bottom of the nozzle (110). The centring protrusion (115) ensures that said nozzle (110) is centred on the blender tube (80a). In addition, the centring protrusion (115) ensures that the blender (100) is not prevented from tilting to the right/left.
There are blender holes (101) on the blender (100) in the apparatus which is the subject of the invention. There are four blender holes (101) on the blender (100), which has a cylindrical shape. The blender holes (101) are positioned on the blender (100) mentioned in certain angles and shapes. The first hole (101.1) and the second hole (101.2), the third hole (101.3) and the fourth hole (101.4) are positioned on top of each other. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the number of holes and their positions can be changed depending on demand or need.
All of the blender holes (101) are angled to the left. Thanks to the aforementioned leftward angles and the force exerted by the water coming with a certain pressure, the blender (100) rotates counter clockwise. With the rotation movement, it is ensured that the water touches the entire inner chamber of the item to be washed/rinsed in a pressurized manner. In alternative embodiments of the invention, the blender holes (101) can also be opened with an angle to the right.
The first hole (101.1) and the third hole (101.3) are angled to the upper left. The second hole (101.2) is angled slightly towards the left side, facing slightly lower than the first hole (101.1). The fourth hole (101.4) is angled to the left downwards. Said angles and directions may vary in alternative embodiments of the invention. The way the water comes out over the blender (100) is shown with the arrows on the figure-11.
Injector tube (80) and blender tube (80a) can be used interchangeably on the apparatus subject to the invention.
