Description

CERAMIC SANITARY WARE MOUNTING SYSTEM
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a mounting system, which enables to achieve the mounting of a ceramic sanitary ware on a mounting surface in such a way that no mounting member is visible on the product surface.
State of the Art
The ceramic sanitary ware are frequently used in the toilet rooms, bathrooms and kitchens. Some ceramic sanitary ware are fixed directly on the floor, or the force imparted by the ceramic sanitary ware due to its weight and the force imparted during the use is enabled to be transferred directly to the floor with the help of a foot connected to the ceramic sanitary ware. Today, it is frequently preferred to fix the ceramic sanitary ware to a surface perpendicular to the floor, as this provides a more aesthetic appearance and offers certain advantages during the use. In the embodiments where the ceramic sanitary ware is fixed to a surface perpendicular to the floor, it is necessary to fix the ceramic sanitary ware on the mounting surface in such a way that it will be able to bear both its own weight and the forces imparted during the use. For this purpose, the mounting procedure is performed by using various connection members and various mounting methods.
In the embodiments where the mounting of the ceramic sanitary ware is performed on a mounting surface perpendicular to the floor for aesthetic reasons, that the connection members used for the mounting are visible on the ceramic sanitary ware after the mounting is an undesirable situation. Accordingly, the hidden mounting apparatus that will not be visible after the mounting are used for the mounting of the ceramic sanitary ware. In an exemplary embodiment of the state of the art employed for fixing the ceramic sanitary ware to the wall, a stud fixed to the wall penetrates the mounting apparatus and a setscrew, as a result of being rotated, advances on the body of the mounting apparatus fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware and enters the cove located on the stud and thus enables the ceramic sanitary ware to be fixed to the wall. In this embodiment, the fixation of the ceramic sanitary ware is achieved owing to the cove inside the stud and the setscrew. That the setscrew has a small stud contact surface and that a point contact is involved, i.e. there is not present a surface contact between the setscrew and the stud, causes an unbalanced load distribution. This may lead to certain limitations in the choice of the material as well as the complication of the mounting and/or some safety problems during the use.
In the mounting system according to the invention, the mounting system body is fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware, the ceramic sanitary ware is positioned on the mounting surface such that the threaded part fixed on the mounting surface penetrates the body and the ceramic sanitary ware is enabled to be fixed to the mounting surface upon fixing the threaded part inside the body.
Object of the Invention
An object of the invention is to develop a mounting system, in which a ceramic sanitary ware is enabled to be fixed on a mounting surface perpendicular to the floor in such a way that no mounting member is visible through the ceramic sanitary ware after the mounting.
Another object of the invention is to develop a system, in which the mounting of the ceramic sanitary ware on the mounting surface is achieved by means of the force imparted on a threaded part fixed on the mounting surface as a result of the rotation of another threaded part positioned on the body. Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a mounting system, which enables to achieve the mounting of a ceramic sanitary ware on a mounting surface in such a way that no mounting member is visible on the product surface. More specifically, the invention relates to a mounting system, which is positioned on the ceramic sanitary ware prior to the mounting and enables the ceramic sanitary ware to be fixed on the stud located on the mounting surface.
The mounting system according to the invention comprises in its most basic form
• at least one threaded stud (7), which is fixed on the mounting surface and provides the connection between the ceramic sanitary ware and the mounting surface,
• at least one rotating threaded member (3), which moves on the threaded stud (7) to enable the ceramic sanitary ware to move in the direction of approaching the mounting surface or in the direction of moving away from the mounting surface,
• at least one rotating member (2), which enables the rotating threaded member (3) to move on the threaded stud (7), and
• at least one body (1), which is fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware and on which the rotating threaded member (3) and/or the rotating member (2) is/are positioned. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the body (1) has at least one rotating member bearing (11), in which the rotating member (2) may be positioned and may freely perform the rotational movement. The rotating member bearing (11) has at least one rotating member bearing threaded section (111). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating member (2) also has a threaded structure and comprises at least one upper threaded section (21). As a result of rotating the rotating member (2), the upper threaded section (21) moves on said rotating member bearing threaded section (111). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating member (2) has at least one lower threaded section (22), which, as a result of the rotational movement, enables the rotating threaded member (3) to be rotated also.
The rotating member bearing (11) is a bearing, in which the rotating member (2) may freely perform the rotational movement but may not come out of the body (1) as a result of the rotational movement. In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating member bearing (11) in the body (1) is closed at the top. However, it has at least one rotating member bearing opening (112), which provides access to the rotating member (2) and allows the rotating member (2) to be rotated.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the body (1) has at least one rotating threaded member bearing (12), in which the rotating threaded member (3) may be positioned and may freely perform the rotational movement. The rotating threaded member (3) is fitted in said rotating threaded member bearing (12) with the help of at least one pin (5), in such a way that it will be able to freely perform the rotational movement. The rotating threaded member (3) has at least one pin cavity (31) at its center. Similarly, the body (1) has at least one pin bearing (13) for positioning the pin (5), which enables the rotating threaded member (3) to be fixed in the rotating threaded member bearing (12). Said pin (5) is fixed to the pin bearing (13) by passing through the pin cavity (31) of the rotating threaded member (3) and it thus enables the rotating threaded member (3) to be fixed on the body (1) in such a way that it may perform only the rotational movement. The rotating threaded member (3) has at least one rotating threaded member threaded section (32), which enables the transfer of the rotational movement of the rotating member (2). When the rotating member (2) and the rotating threaded member (3) are placed at their positions on the body (1), the rotating threaded member threaded section (32) and the lower threaded section (22) of the rotating member (2) contact each other and thus, the rotational movement of the rotating member (2) is transferred to the rotating threaded member (3) and as a result, the rotating threaded member (3) rotates together with the rotating member (2). Accordingly, the threads present in the rotating threaded member threaded section (32) have a structure matching both the threads of the lower threaded section (22) of the rotating member (2) and the threads of the threaded stud (7). As a result of the rotation of the rotating member (2), the rotating threaded member (3) moves on the threaded stud (7) and enables the body (1) to move together with it.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotational axis of the rotating member (2) and the rotational axis of the rotating threaded member (3) are perpendicular to one another.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one fixing member (4), which enables the body (1) to be fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware. The body (1) has at least one body fixing protrusion (18), on which the fixing member (4) is to be fixed. Said body fixing protrusion (18) preferably has a threaded structure. The fixing member (4) in turn has at least one fixing member threaded section (41) with threads matching the threads of the body fixing protrusion (18). In order to mount the body (1) on the ceramic sanitary ware, the body fixing protrusion (18) is positioned via the inner surface of the ceramic sanitary ware into the ceramic sanitary ware mounting seat (91), the fixing member (4) is positioned via the outer surface of the ceramic sanitary ware into the ceramic sanitary ware mounting seat (91), and the fixing member (4) advances, as a result of being rotated, on the body fixing protrusion (18) and imparts a pulling force on the body (1). The fixing member (4) has at least one fixing member abutment surface (42); as a result of the fixing member (4) advancing, upon its rotational movement, on the body fixing protrusion (18), the fixing member abutment surface (42) abuts the ceramic sanitary ware at a certain point and thus enables the body (1) to be fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixing member (4) has at least one fixing member flap (43), which assists with the easy rotation of the fixing member (4).
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the body (1) has a two-piece structure. In said embodiment, after the rotating member (2) and/or the rotating threaded member (3) is/are placed at their positions in the body (1), the two pieces of the body (1) are fixed on one another. At least one connection member (8) is used for securing the pieces of the body (1) on one another. At least one connection member hole (15) is located on the body (1). Said connection member (8) passes through the connection member hole (15) located on one of the pieces of the body (1) and reaches the connection member hole (15) located on the other half of the body (1). Said connection member (8) is preferably a bolt. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a second connection member (8), preferably a nut, is positioned opposite the bolt and the pieces of the body (1) are enabled to be secured on one another by means of the bolt and nut pair. In other words, the connection member (8), which passes through one of the pieces of the body (1) and which reaches the other piece, is fixed in the connection member hole (15) via at least one second connection member (8), thereby enabling to accomplish the mounting of the pieces of the body (1) on one another. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one connection member seat (16) is present on the body (1) and the nut is positioned in said connection member seat (16).
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one flexible member (6), which imparts a force on the rotating member (2) to prevent the loosening of the rotating member (2) as a result of the external factors and/or enable the rotating member (2) to be reseated into the rotating member bearing threaded section (111) during the dismantling procedure. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said flexible member (6) is a spring. Said flexible member (6) is disposed at a position between the rotating member (2) and the body (1), preferably in the flexible member bearing (14). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating member (2) is a bolt. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating member (2) is an endless bolt.
The body (1) is fixed on the ceramic sanitary ware such that the rotating member bearing opening (112) faces the top surface of the ceramic sanitary ware, i.e. the ceramic sanitary ware top surface hole (92). After the body (1) is fixed in the ceramic sanitary ware mounting seat (91) via at least one fixing member (4), the ceramic sanitary ware is positioned on the mounting surface such that the threaded stud (7), which has been fixed to the mounting surface, enters the body (1) via the threaded stud entrance section (17) present in the body (1). Upon the rotating member (2) being subsequently rotated via a hand tool extended through the ceramic sanitary ware top surface hole (92), the rotating threaded member (3) also rotates and begins to advance on the threaded stud (7). Upon the rotating threaded member (3) advancing on the threaded stud (7), the body (1) and thus the ceramic sanitary ware to which the body (1) has been fixed approach the mounting surface and eventually comes into contact with and fixed to the mounting surface.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said ceramic sanitary ware is a toilet.
