Abstract

The cooking device (P) according to the present invention comprises at least one body; at least one inner compartment (1) provided in the body; at least one door providing access into the inner compartment (1); at least one heating element (2) provided at at least an upper and/or lower side of the inner compartment (1); at least two side walls (3) provided on lateral sides of the inner compartment (1), each having at least one hanging element (3a); at least one carrying element (5) suitable for placing the items to be cooked and/or heated thereon; at least one holding element (4), which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements (3a) so as to be located in the inner compartment (1), and has at least one inner frame (4b) suitable for enclosing the carrying element (5) for placing the carrying element (5), wherein the holding element (4) enables the carrying element (5) to be aligned with the heating element (2) when positioned in the inner compartment (1).

Description

A COOKING DEVICE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an oven-like cooking device for grill-type cooking.
Background of the Invention
An oven-type cooking device comprises at least one inner compartment for placing the items to be cooked; at least one door providing access into the inner compartment; and at least one heating element for heating the inner compartment. Depending on the location of the cooking device and the needs of the user, the heating element may be in the form of a resistance-type heater or a gas heater. While a gas heater (such as a burner) can be positioned only at a bottom part of the inner compartment, a resistance-type heater can be positioned both at the bottom part and the upper part of the inner compartment. In this way, the items located in the inner compartment can be heated both from the top and the bottom by means of the resistance-type heaters.
A cooking device with a resistance-type heating element can be used to perform a grilltype cooking process by operating at least one of the resistances. According to these applications, the item to be cooked with the grill-type process is placed in a wire or a tray and positioned at a desired height in the inner compartment. However, in such applications, for example, when grill-type cooking is performed by using the heating element located on the inner compartment, the items aligned with the heating element receives an excessive amount of heat, while the items with different alignments heat up more slowly. Due to such a difference between the heating rates, said items cannot be cooked homogeneously. Accordingly, users have to move the cooked items at regular intervals to change their alignment with respect to the heating element or take the items with a faster cooking temperature from the cooking device and continue to cook the items with a slower cooking temperature. Since this is inconvenient for users, a system is needed to ensure homogeneous cooking in cooking devices that perform grill-type cooking. Brief of the Invention
The cooking device according to the present invention comprises at least one body; at least one inner compartment provided in the body; at least one door providing access into the inner compartment; at least one heating element provided at at least an upper and/or lower side of the inner compartment; at least two side walls provided on lateral sides of the inner compartment, each having at least one hanging element; at least one carrying element suitable for placing the items to be cooked and/or heated thereon; at least one holding element, which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements so as to be located in the inner compartment, and has at least one inner frame suitable for enclosing the carrying element for placing the carrying element, wherein the holding element enables the carrying element to be aligned with the heating element when positioned in the inner compartment.
The cooking device according to the present invention uses a holding element to position the carrying element, on which the items to be cooked are placed, at a desired level in the inner compartment. Therefore, the carrying element can be aligned with the heating element, so that the heat emitted from the heating element is distributed homogeneously to the items on the carrying element, especially during a grill-type cooking process.
Object of the Invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a cooking device for a grill-type cooking process.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cooking device for performing the grill-type cooking process homogeneously.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a practical and reliable cooking device.

Cooking devices such as ovens are used for cooking and/or heating various items, especially food. One of the cooking methods used in the cooking devices is grill-type cooking. According to such cooking applications, the item to be cooked is positioned below and/or above the heating element. However, in such applications, a homogeneous cooking cannot be achieved if the item is not aligned with the heating element. For this reason, the present invention provides a cooking device to provide a solution to the mentioned problem.
The cooking device (P) according to the present invention, as illustrated in the figures 1-5, comprises at least one body; at least one inner compartment (1) provided in the body; at least one door providing access into the inner compartment (1); at least one heating element (2), preferably a resistance-type heating element, provided at at least an upper and/or lower side of the inner compartment (1); at least two side walls (3) provided on lateral sides of the inner compartment (1), each having at least one hanging element (3a); at least one carrying element (5), preferably a tray, suitable for placing the items to be cooked and/or heated thereon; at least one holding element (4), which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements (3a) so as to be located in the inner compartment (1), and has at least one inner frame (4b) suitable for enclosing the carrying element (5) for placing the carrying element (5), wherein the holding element (4) enables the carrying element (5) to be aligned with the heating element (2) when positioned in the inner compartment (1).
In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the cooking device (P) is an oven, wherein resistance-type heating elements (2) are provided in the lower and/or upper parts of the inner compartment (1). Here, when the holding element (4) for positioning the carrying element (5) in the inner compartment (1) is placed on the hanging elements (3a) so as to be positioned in the inner compartment, the carrying element (5) is aligned with the heating elements (2). In other words, the carrying element (5) is positioned just above and/or just below the at least one heating element (2). Thus, it is ensured that the heat emitted from the heating element (2) reaches every part of the item placed on the carrying element (5) equally, thus achieving a homogeneous cooking process. Here, the carrying element (5) is placed in the inner frame (4b) at the holding element (4), and the inner frame (4b) preferably surrounds the carrying element (5) completely. Thus, the carrying element (5) is prevented from moving relative to the holding element (4) (for example, to the right/left, forward/backward), and the carrying element (5) is kept in the desired alignment (aligned with the heating element (4)). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the holding element (4) is made of wire. Here, the holding element (4) comprises at least one outer frame (4a) which surrounds the inner frame (4b), and at least a part of which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements (3a). Here, the outer frame (4a) and the inner frame (4b) are made of wire and are connected to each other by wire. The outer frame (4a) also comprises at least one movement restricting element (4c) at the parts thereof placed on the hanging elements (3a). Said movement restricting element (4c) restricts the movement of the holding element (4) on the hanging elements (3a). Thus, the holding element (4), hence the carrying element (5) placed on the holding element (4), are aligned with the heating element (2). The movement restricting element (4c) is preferably in the form of a bend (like a spring piece) formed on the outer frame (4a). Here, for example, movement of the outer frame (4a) relative to the hanging element (3a) is restricted by the movement restricting element (4c) resting on a part of a hanging element (3a), as shown in Figure 3.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the heating element (2) is rectangular in shape. More specifically, periphery of the heating element (2) is rectangular, and bent resistance pipes can be provided therein. In this embodiment, the carrying element (5) is also rectangular in shape, and its dimensions (width/length) are preferably the same as that of the heating element (2). Thus, when a food item to be cooked is placed on the carrying element (5) and the carrying element (5) is positioned in the inner compartment
(1) aligned with the heating element (2), heat of the heating element (2) is distributed more homogeneously on the food item.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, center of the heating element (2) and the center of the inner compartment (1) are aligned. In other words, the heating element
(2) has a symmetrical structure preferably in the right/left and forward/backward axes in a middle part of the inner compartment (1). In this embodiment, the carrying element (5) is, in turn, positioned parallel to the heating element (2), symmetrically in a middle part of the inner compartment (1). Therefore, even if the carrying element (5) and/or the holding element (4) is placed in the inner compartment (1) in an upside-down manner, it remains aligned with the heating element (2) due to said symmetry. Here, alignment of the center of the heating element (2) with the center of the inner compartment (1) also helps to heat the inner compartment (1) homogeneously in different cooking types, as well. The cooking device (P) according to the present invention uses a holding element (4) to position the carrying element (5), on which the items to be cooked are placed, at a desired level in the inner compartment (1). Therefore, the carrying element (5) can be aligned with the heating element (2), so that the heat emitted from the heating element (2) is distributed homogeneously to the items on the carrying element (5), especially during a grill-type cooking process.

Claims

CLAIMS A cooking device (P) comprising at least one body; at least one inner compartment (1) provided in the body; at least one door providing access into the inner compartment (1); at least one heating element (2) provided at at least an upper and/or lower side of the inner compartment (1); at least two side walls (3) provided on lateral sides of the inner compartment (1), each having at least one hanging element (3a), the cooking device (1) characterized by comprising: at least one carrying element (5) suitable for placing the items to be cooked and/or heated thereon; at least one holding element (4), which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements (3a) so as to be located in the inner compartment (1), and has at least one inner frame (4b) suitable for enclosing the carrying element (5) for placing the carrying element (5), wherein the holding element (4) enables the carrying element (5) to be aligned with the heating element (2) when positioned in the inner compartment (1). A cooking device (P) according to claim 1 , characterized in that the heating element (2) is a resistance. A cooking device (P) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the carrying element (5) is a tray. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the holding element (4) is made of wire. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the holding element (4) comprises at least one outer frame (4a) which surrounds the inner frame (4b), and at least a part of which is suitable for being placed on the hanging elements (3a). A cooking device (P) according to claim 5, characterized in that the outer frame (4a) comprises at least one movement restricting element (4c) at the parts thereof placed on the hanging elements (3a).

7. A cooking device (P) according to claim 6, characterized in that the movement restricting element (4c) is a bend formed on the outer frame (4a). 8. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the heating element (2) is rectangular in shape.
9. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrying element (5) is rectangular in shape.
10. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrying element (5) has the same size as the heating element (2).
11. A cooking device (P) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that center of the heating element (2) is aligned with the center of the inner compartment (1).
