Definitions
- the invention relates to a mine-resistant seat equipment developed for use in military land vehicles.
- the invention relates to a seat equipment developed for use in wheeled and/or tracked armored vehicles, which allows the users (personnel) inside the armored vehicle to escape from injury by absorbing the shocks caused by mine explosions.
- the seats inside the military land vehicle used in the prior art cannot adequately protect the user (personnel).
- the military land vehicle transfers the impact of the explosion to the seat and directly to the user without partially or completely absorbing it. This leads to serious injury or death of the user during any explosion outside the military land vehicles.
- the seat equipment comprises two different mechanisms located on the seat.
- One of these mechanisms is a absorbing mechanism that prevents the user from being affected by mine explosions, in other words, it acts as a protective mechanism.
- the other mechanism is a height adjustment mechanism, which is necessary for the ergonomics of the user and includes a bearing system, a gas piston system that supports the movement of the seat in question (back and forth; up and down, etc.) and at least one spring.
- the absorbing mechanism referred to herein is located on the seat or on a structure to which the seat is attached, independent of the height adjustment mechanism.
- the presence of two different mechanisms on the seat causes the weight and volume of the seat to increase. Considering that the internal volume of the said military land vehicles is quite small, the military land vehicle in which the said seat equipment is used has a narrow range of motion and the users do not have sufficient ergonomic conditions.
- the absorbing mechanism contained in the seat equipment is affected by the vibrations caused by the road when the military land vehicle is driven. This causes the absorbing mechanism to work without any explosion situation, and in the event of an explosion, the absorbing mechanism is not sufficiently effective.
- Said seat device comprises pipes for connection to the vehicle roof or vehicle floor; another pipe which is threaded as a seat rail for adjusting the seat height; notches on said other pipe; on a third pipe mounted in the notches, contains a safety lock that is subject to self-pretension.
- said safety lock slides downwards along the notch in the seat rail and activates the other path. In this way, the user is protected in the event of an explosion.
- the seat device mentioned in the patent document in the prior art occupies a lot of internal space in the vehicle. This restricts the movement space of the users.
- the present invention relates to a seat equipment that fulfills the above-mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.
- the primary object of the invention is to provide a seat equipment that absorbs the shocks caused by mine explosions and allows the users in the armored vehicle to escape without injury.
- An object of the invention is to develop a seat equipment that combines an absorbing mechanism and a seat adjustment mechanism on a single bearing system, resulting in a reduction in volume and weight.
- One of the objects of the invention is to provide an easy-to-assemble seat equipment.
- An object of the invention is to provide a seat equipment that can operate without any risk of locking with wide tolerances.
- An object of the invention is to provide a seat equipment comprising height adjustment and a reverse symmetrically operating locking system for use in case of mines.
- An object of the invention is to provide a seat equipment that prevents said absorbing mechanism from being affected by road vibration.
- Mine-resistant seat equipment which is the subject of the application, is shown in the attached figures and these figures are as follows:
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the seat equipment.
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the assembled body, first platform, second platform and absorbing mechanism of the seat equipment.
- Figure 3 is a view of the disassembled state of the seat equipment.
- Figure 4 is a front view of the first platform, second platform and absorbing mechanism of the seat equipment.
- Figure 5 is a back view of the first platform, second platform and absorbing mechanism of the seat equipment.
- the elements of the invention "A mine-resistant seat equipment", which is the subject of the application, are numbered as shown in the attached figures, and the element names corresponding to these numbers are as follows:
- Mine-resistant seat equipment is described only for the purpose of a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.
- a seat equipment (E) comprising a seat (K) suitable for use in military land vehicles, a backrest compartment, a seating compartment and preferably a seat belt system, the exemplary views of which are shown in Figures 1 -5, and further comprising:
- At least one first platform (2) comprising: o at least two first movement elements which are connected to the body (1 ) and movable, and o at least one spring (2a) which is flexible and preferably in the form of a leaf, and located on the surface that facing the body (1 ),
- At least one second platform (3) comprising at least one bearing shaft and at least two second movement elements, o which is movable and connected to the body (1 ) so as to remain on the underside of the first platform (2) (i.e., on the side of the body (1 ) close to the ground),
- At least one locking mechanism (6) o comprising at least one lock bolt
- ⁇ is connected to the bearing shaft, o which operates reversely symmetrically for use as a seat (K) height adjustment and in the case of mines.
- the body (1 ) is located perpendicular to the floor of the military land vehicle.
- the second platform (3), the absorbing mechanism (4) and the first platform (2) are respectively located on the body (1 ).
- the seat (K) is connected to the second platform (3).
- the user wishes to adjust the height of the seat (K) according to his/her body, he/she adjusts the height by moving the seat (K) up and down by means of the locking mechanism (6).
- the vibrations caused by the road are not transferred to the absorbing mechanism (4) by means of the break pin (5).
- the body (1 ) comprises a rail or channel system.
- the body (1 ) comprises at least two side walls positioned parallel to each other and at least one rear wall connected between the side walls at a right angle with one side of the side walls.
- the first platform (2) and the second platform (3) are movably positioned in the channel system formed between the side walls and the rear wall.
- the spring (2a) provides flexibility to the first platform (2) up to a certain distance, allowing easy assembly of the first platform (2) during installation and preventing the risk of locking of the seat equipment (E).
- the spring (2a) is made of a rigid material, preferably Ck-75. In this way, the seat equipment (E) can function properly even when the upper limit of the gap tolerance is exceeded.
- the first movement element preferably comprises a wheel.
- the second movement element preferably comprises a wheel.
- the absorbing mechanism (4) and the locking mechanism (6) for height adjustment of the seat (K), and thus the second platform (3) are combined to provide absorbing and height adjustment on a single body (1 ) and on a single axis. This results in a reduction in the volume and weight of the seat equipment (E).
- the lock bolts of the locking mechanism (6) By connecting the lock bolts of the locking mechanism (6) to the bearing shafts of the second platform (3), both bearing and locking operations are realized in a small volume.
- the break pin (5) the absorbing mechanism (4) is not affected by vibrations from the road. This prevents the operation of the absorbing mechanism (4) before any explosion.
