Description
Interface de connexion pour instrument chirurgical Connection interface for surgical instrument
Domaine de l'invention Field of the invention
The invention relates to surgical devices formed mainly of an instrument connected to an instrument support, the latter comprising a connection interface making it possible to connect, respectively disconnect, an instrument to the support.
État de la technique State of the art
Figure 1 illustrates a prior art surgical instrument holder 14. It consists of a rod 2 between a connection interface 1 and a handle 3 arranged respectively towards the distal and proximal end of the rod 2.
The position of the handle 3 can be aligned or perpendicular to the rod 2. In this illustrated example the handle 3 is arranged perpendicular to the rod 2.
There are several types of connection interfaces, eg AO, AO large or Hudson.
The connection interface 1 comprises two pins 4 mounted in V-shaped grooves 5 (see figure 2).
Two washers 6 sandwich a compression spring 7 and thus push the pins 4 towards the central axis of the connection interface 1, which has the effect of locking an instrument to the instrument support 14 (see figure 3) .
To unlock the connection, the spring 7 is compressed. In this case, unlike the locking operation, no force is exerted on the pins 4, so that the unlocking mechanism tends to seize up, sometimes making it difficult , if not impossible, the disconnection of an instrument to support 14. Besides the aforementioned problem, the connection interface 1 is difficult to clean. The locking/unlocking mechanism is not removable and anything that gets into the spring 7 cannot be removed.
There is therefore a need to improve the connection interfaces of the aforementioned surgical instruments.
Description générale de l'invention General description of the invention
The locking/unlocking mechanism according to the present invention differs in particular from the mechanisms of the state of the art in that the pins are replaced by a pivoting lever.
More generally, the present invention relates to a connection interface for a surgical instrument as described in the main claim.
Specific embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
The connection interface according to the invention can be used with any suitable surgical instrument, such as for example a drill, a cutting tool, a screwdriver or a reamer.

The connection interface 1 illustrated in Figures 4 to 15 comprises an instrument locking/unlocking mechanism 10 which mainly consists of a sliding ring 11, a coil spring 7, the distal end of the stem 2 of an instrument holder 14, a pivoting lever 8 and a bayonet slider 9.
The lever 8 pivots around an axis 15 which is fixed towards the distal end of the rod 2.
The locking position of the lever 8 (see Figures 4 to 7) is achieved by the distal sliding of the ring 11; the latter being driven in the direction of the instrument by the spring 7 (see FIG. 4). The ring 11 bears against an annular stop 16 arranged at the distal end of the rod 2. The connection interface 1 also comprises a bayonet slider 9 arranged along the rod 2, between the handle 3 and the ring 11. In the locked position, the slider 9 is fixed and covers the spring 7.
Pour le déverrouillage (voir les figures 8 à 11), la bague 11 est déplacée en direction de la poignée 3, ce qui a pour effet de libérer le levier 8 qui peut pivoter légèrement vers le haut, se loger dans une gorge annulaire 13 disposée sur la paroi intérieure de la bague 11 et ainsi libérer l'instrumentFor unlocking (see Figures 8 to 11), the ring 11 is moved in the direction of the handle 3, which has the effect of releasing the lever 8 which can pivot slightly upwards, lodge in an annular groove 13 arranged on the inner wall of the ring 11 and thus release the instrument
10 de l'interface de connexion 1 (voir figures 9 à 11). 10 of the connection interface 1 (see Figures 9 to 11).
An additional advantage of the locking/unlocking mechanism according to the invention lies in the fact that it can be completely dismantled and gives access to all places for complete cleaning (see FIGS. 13 and 15). In this case, the slider 9 is released from the rod 2 by retracting it in the direction of the handle 3.
It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the examples illustrated. The spring, for example, is not necessarily of helical shape. Similarly, the slider does not necessarily include a bayonet mechanism.
