Detailed Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a clip assembly (B) adapted to rail body (C) and vehicle roof with load-bearing roof bars (100) adapted to upper exterior roof surface, wherein it has a novelty feature in that it comprises a routing screw (24) that enables fitting the said clip assembly (B) onto the vehicle roof surface with a single screw by means of a single screw motion, a locking unit (10) and a sliding unit (20) that ensure movement and fixing with a single movement from multiple points.
The present invention further comprises the sliding unit (20) which comprises an interior block (21 ) and a sliding piece (22) centered on the same axis by means of the said positioning pin (23), a main frame (16) where the said sliding unit (20) is guided into by means of the guiding surfaces (106) and an interior body (11 ) where the said sliding unit (20) is centered onto by means of the bearing hole (101 ), a locking unit (10) with a bearing pin (12), and a positioning element (13) to which the said routing screw (24) is screwed, thereby enabling the positioning element (13) to make a rotational movement at the point where the said routing screw (24) is centered around during screwing.
The present invention further comprises a retaining clamp (37) fitted to the vehicle surface with the single movement of the routing screw (24), a hanger (37.1 ) which hangs the said retaining clamp (37) to the bearing pin (12), a moving interior body (11 ) tab (17) applying traction to the rail body (C) with the rotational movement of the positioning element (13) located on the interior body (11 ), and a fixed tab (17’) mounted to the rail body (C) located on the said main frame (16).
The invention further comprises bottom tabs (110) that pass through without any fitting elements and corresponding tab bearings (111 ), a bottom table (32) and a locking frame (33) positioned with rotational movement on the x axis to the vehicle surface by means of a T channel (108), a screwed hole (13.1 ) on the positioning element (13) to which the said routing screw (24) is screwed, an interior block (21 ) which allows for intervention to the said routing screw (24) and creates a working space, and a screw pass-through gap (25) located on the sliding piece (22).
Figure 1 shows the overall perspective view of the invention according to the invention, composed of three main structures: load-bearing roof bar (A), clip assembly (B) and profile rail body (C).
Figure 3 shows the dissembled view of the locking unit (10), the sliding unit (20) and auxiliary units (30). While the interior body (11 ), the latch (15) and the main frame (16) are fixed by means of the bearing pin (12) through the bearing hole (101 ), the positioning element (13) is placed on the nut bearing (102) by means of the screwed hole (13.1 ) and the spring (13), the interior body (11 ) and the main frame (16) are locked inside in a way to make contact with the interior surfaces of the support surface (103) (please see Figure 6).
Figure 3 also shows the dissembled view of the auxiliary units (30), namely the body (31 ), the bottom table (32), the locking frame (33), the bottom seal (34), the top cover (35), the bottom cover (36), the retaining clamp (37), the clamp seal (38) and the double-bit key lock (39).
The spring (14) continuously pushes the interior body (11 ) downward on the axis of the bearing hole (101 ) at the positioning area (14.1 ) where it is locked by means of the support surface (103). Therefore, the tabs (17) located at the top side of the interior body (11 ) plunge downwards to ensure fastening to the aluminum profile rail body (C).
When the pressure surface (104) of the latch (15) is manually put pressure to generate downward circular movement on the bearing hole (101 ) axis, the latch (15) pushing surface (105) makes contact with and pushes forward the pushing surface (105) located on the interior body (11 ) and compresses the spring (14). This releases the locking mechanism, enabling it to move inside the channel located under the profile rail body (C).
The positioning pin (23) and the interior block (21 ) are placed inside the sliding piece (22). Then, it is guided to the locking unit (10) from the guiding surface (106) by means of the sliding door and the routing screw (24) is screwed to the positioning element (13) by means of the nut-screw contact.
The sliding unit (20) moves up and down the guiding surface (106) by way of tightening and loosening the routing screw (24) and thanks to the cylindrical shape of the positioning element (13). In essence, the positioning element serves as a nut. However, due to its rotational movement on the bearing axis, the sliding piece (22) slides on the guiding surface (106) by tightening and loosening the screw (24).
The retaining clamp (37) passes through the interior side of the sliding unit (20) and latches on the positioning pin (23). During this process, the positioning pin (23) moves up thanks to the slot bearing (107) located in the interior block (21 ) and the retaining clamp (37) reaches the upper portion. When the retaining clamp (37) moves to the upper portion, the positioning pin (23) moves back down, and the retaining clamp (37) hangs on the positioning pin (23) (please see Figure 6).
The locking frame (33) snaps onto the body (31 ) by means of the T channel (108). The bottom table (32) picks up a circular movement by means of the circular block (109) located at the coupling point of the bottom table (32) and the locking frame (33). During installation, it is angled according to different surfaces of vehicle roofs. The bottom tabs
(110) located at the bottom portion of the locking frame (33) latch onto the tab bearings
(111 ) of the bottom table (32) and both pieces are interlocked.
When the routing screw (24) is tightened, the sliding unit (20) moves upwards on the sliding surface (106) of the locking unit (10) and the retaining clamp (37) is also pulled up. While the retaining clamp (37) moves upwards on the z axis, the bottom table (32) applies pressure to the top roof surface of the vehicle. While the routing screw (24) is tightened, the routing screw (24) pulls the positioning element (13) towards itself on the y axis. During the pulling process, the connected assembly or the interior body (11 ) makes a rotational movement at the bearing hole (101 ) and the center and pulls the tab (17) downwards on the z axis, whereby the tab (17) applies downward pulling force to the rail body (C) for tightening and fastening.
This linear movement applied to the retaining clamp (37) grips the surface between the vehicle door and the installation location. While the pulling operation continues, the positioning element (13) pulls the bearing hole (101 ) toward itself on the bearing hole (101 ) axis and moves the interior body (11 ) on the same axis. Then, the tabs (17) of the interior body (11 ) move downward and are permanently fixed to the rail body (C). By this means, the following operations are synchronously performed: The retaining clamp (37) grips the surface between the vehicle door and the installation location by tightening a single routing screw (24), the bottom seal (34) applies pressure and fits onto the surface of vehicle roof and the interior body (11 ) moves downward on the bearing hole (101 ) axis to fasten onto the rail body (C). After that, the locking process may not be cancelled even if the latch (15) is pressed, thereby allowing for safe installation.
Figure 8 shows the sliding motion of the sliding piece (22) on the guiding surface (106) of the main frame (16). The sliding piece (22) makes a linear downward movement with a certain angle on the z axis. While generating this linear movement, the screw makes both a linear movement on the y axis and axial rotation movement on the p axis by rotating a single screw, the routing screw (24), and the sliding piece (22) slides from the guiding surface (106) of the main frame (16).
