Description

PISTON CONNECTION CONFIGURATION WITH THE CONTRA RING IN FIRE RIFLES
Technical Field
The invention relates to piston connection configuration with contra ring, which provides locking of the piston nut that loosens over time as a result of use in fire rifles.
The invention relates to piston connection configuration with contra ring, which provides the possibility of assembly-disassembly without the need for an additional key in the case the locked piston nut needs to be removed.
Prior Art
During firing of cartridges containing gunpowder in fire rifles, gunpowder burns and produces pressurized air. As the volume of the pressurized gas expands, it begins to push the bullet in front of it towards the end of the barrel. As the bullet exits the muzzle, the expanding gases also leave the barrel through the same hole. In gas-driven systems, some of this expanding gas moves the gas piston with the gas discharge hole in the barrel and enables the mechanism to be set up for firing again.
In the fire rifles produced in today's technology, the piston nut is connected to the barrel by rotating it in the piston assembly. The piston nut loosens over time as a result of use and slides over the barrel, closing the gas discharge hole. The movement of the gas piston is provided by the gas coming from the gas discharge hole. Therefore, if the gas discharge hole is closed, the gas piston cannot be moved and the mechanism cannot be re-established. Loosening of the piston nut over time damages the piston assembly of fire rifles and causes the rifle to become unusable.
In the state of the art, no studies have been mentioned for the above-mentioned problems caused by the loosening of the piston nut over time. The problems mentioned above have made it necessary to carry out r&d studies on the piston assembly.
The Object of the Invention
The object of the invention is to ensure that the piston nut, which loosens over time as a result of use, is locked in its current position.
The object of the invention is to obtain a piston connection configuration with a contra ring, which provides the possibility of assembly-disassembly without the need for an additional key in the case the piston nut needs to be removed.
The object of the invention is to ensure that the locking process of the piston nut is carried out in a way that does not add weight on the fire rifles.
The object of the invention is to obtain a piston connection configuration with a contra ring that provides the locking of the piston nut with a single piece.

The piston connection configuration with the contra ring 3 which enables the locking of the piston nut 5, which loosens over time as a result of use in fire rifles 1, is shown in the attached figures. The piston assembly located on the barrel 2, in its most general form, consists of a contra ring 3, a piston nut 5, a gas piston 6 and a gas chamber 8 (Figure - 3, Figure - 4).
In fire rifles 1, when the cartridge is fired, the gas pressure created by the fired gunpowder begins to spread in a way that applies equal pressure to every point inside the barrel 2 (Figure - 1, Figure - 2). The gas pressure created by the fired gunpowder passes through the gas discharge hole 7 and moves the gas chamber 8 in the x direction, allowing the system to be re-established by throwing out the empty casing for the next ignition and replacing it with a new casing (Figure - 4).
The gas piston 6 contained in the piston assembly is connected to the barrel 2 by rotating the piston nut 5 over the nut region 12. Said connection is provided by the contra ring 3, unlike the current art. The contra ring 3 has a truncated circular structure with two ends as seen in Figure - 5. One end of the contra ring 3 is in a tab structure 9 so that it is perpendicular to the circle. While the contra ring 3 is placed in the contra ring slot 4 on the gas piston 6, one end of the contra ring 3 with a tab structure 9 fits into the tab slot 11 on the gas piston 6 (Figure -7). The gas piston 6 placed in the barrel 2 and the contra ring 3 on said gas piston 6 are then placed by rotating the piston nut 5. While the piston nut 5 is being placed, one end of the contra ring 3 with a tab structure 9 fits into the slots 10 on the piston nut 5 (Figure - 6). The piston nut 5 and the gas piston 6 are locked in the barrel 2 in their current position by fitting the tab structure 9 at the end of the contra ring 3 into the appropriate slot 10. The depth of the slot 10 on the piston nut 5 must be smaller than 1/4 of the diameter of the tab structure 9 so that the locking process is not opened by an outside intervention during use. In the present invention, locking of the piston nut 5 is provided in a single piece. As a result of use with locking, the closure of the gas discharge hole 7 due to loosening of the piston nut 5 over time is prevented.
Only one-way rotation is performed in the piston connection configuration with the contra ring 3. In this way, the piston nut 5, which is locked with the contra ring 3, is only removed when the user wants and is not opened by an outside intervention during use. The piston connection configuration provides the possibility of assembly-disassembly without the need for an additional key in the case the piston nut 5, which is locked with a single piece, needs to be removed.
The locking process in the present invention is provided by placing the contra ring
3 in the contra ring slot 4 located on the gas piston 6. In fire rifles 1, the piston connection structure that enables the locking of the piston nut 5, which loosens over time as a result of use, can alternatively be provided with the contra ring slot
4 opened on the piston nut 5 and the slots 10 opened on the gas piston 6. In this case, one end of the contra ring 3 with a tab structure 9 placed on the piston nut
5 fits into the slot 10 on the gas piston 6. In both uses, it is important that the end with the tab structure 9 fits into the slot 10, and the same result is achieved in both uses (Figure - 8).
