Abstract
The present invention relates to a food supplement with antioxidant/antiproliferative properties that is used in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), contains artemisia annua, distilled water, colloidal silver water and Olea Europaea (olive leaf oil extract).
Description
FOOD SUPPLEMENT WITH ANTIOXIDANT/ ANTIPROLIFERATIVE PROPERTIES
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a food supplement with antioxidant/antiproliferative properties used in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
State of the Art
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) disease (COVID-19) has been associated with millions of deaths worldwide. This inflammatory, respiratory and systemic disease is highly contagious and in most cases lifethreatening.
Effective and accurate treatments are required for patients suffering from 2019 COVID-19 coronavirus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). However, in the state of the art, antiviral drugs licensed for other diseases are widely used in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus disease, whose clinical efficacy is questioned. For this reason, there is an urgent need for the treatment of COVID-19 and the identification of additional antivirals against SARS-CoV-2.
Document No TR2020/16536 can be shown as an example to the state of the art in the research made in the literature. Said document relates to an effective herbal food supplement against covid-19. In said invention, medical and aromatic plant, herbal food supplement related to pharmacology-toxicology and virology, and herbal food supplement effective against Covid-19 that can be used in the pharmaceutical industry are disclosed. Said food supplement is obtained by extracting at least one herbal drug (root, herb, seed, fruit, etc.) with proven antiviral activities, adding sweetener and/or creating a fermentation environment by adding water.
Document No TR2021/008034 can be shown as another example to the state of the art. Said document relates to an antiviral, antibacterial, anti-allergen and
cardioprotective liquid food supplement In said invention, a food supplement in the form of antiviral antibacterial, anti-allergen and cardioprotective effective syrup containing effective amounts of quercetin, resveratrol and L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is disclosed.
As a result, in order to solve the abovementioned problems and the insufficiency of the current solutions makes it necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field.
Object of the Invention
The present invention relates to a food supplement with antioxidant/ antiproliferative properties which eliminates the abovementioned disadvantages and brings new advantages to the relevant technical field.
The main objective of the invention is to provide a food supplement used in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The object of the invention is to provide a food supplement obtained from Artemisia Annua plant used in the treatment of malaria infection, colloidal silver water with antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial effects, and OleaEuroaea (olive leaf oil extract) as binder.
Another object of the invention is to provide a food supplement which has antioxidant/antiproliferative properties that help the body to be more resistant to the infections and external factors and support the immune system.
Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred alternatives of the inventive food supplement are described only for clarifying the subject matter such that no limiting effect is created.
The present invention relates to a food supplement with antioxidant/antiproiiferative properties used in the treatment of COVID-19 coronavirus disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The invention in its most basic form is a food supplement containing artemisiaannua, distilled water, colloidal silver water, oleaeuroaea (olive leaf oil extract) . The inventive food supplement is presented in spray or drop form.
In Table 1 , the content and ratios of the inventive food supplement are given.
Artemisia annua is a plant extract used in traditional Chinese medicine. Artemisinin, one of the active components of the plant, has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, antiallergic, antifibrotic, antiarrhythmic, immunomodulatory, antitumor and cytotoxic effects. Artemisia Annua is also known as sweat wormwood, annual wormwood, kaabe wormwood, veronica prostrata.
Artemisia annua extracts are a good source of various phenolic compounds and are therefore considered to be a source of natural antioxidants. The leaves are harvested in the summer, before the plant blooms, and dried for later use.
Since Artmesiaannua is known to be a natural source of antioxidants, it is beneficial for all people exposed to free radicals.
Distilled water is demineralized water obtained by re-liquefying the steam in a separate container.
Colloidal silver water is a homogeneous dispersion of silver particles in pure water. Dissolved silver particles repulse each other because they have the same electrical charge. Therefore, it is completely homogeneously dispersed in the solvent. Since silver particles have the same electrical charge, they repel each other and distribute homogeneously, thus allowing them not to accumulate in the body. After they complete their tasks in the circulatory system for a certain period of time, they are disposed through the digestive system. Colloidal silver water is homogeneous, does not come into contact with each other and does not cause any side effects or permanent effects due to its features that it can be easily disposed of through the digestive system. Colloidal silver water has antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial effects.
Oleaeuroaea (olive leaf oil extract) is used as a binder. The olive tree, the longest- lived tree in the world, has survived for 3000 years depending on oleuropein (C25H32O13) in olive leaves, which protects from all kinds of harmful bacteria, micro-organisms and viruses and more than 20,000 other phenolic compounds.Oleuropein (OE), found in the structure of the olive leaf is the main phenolic component and is responsible for the physiological effects of the olive leaf. Olive oil leaf oil exhibits radical scavenging activity in food supplement.
The process steps of the inventive production method of the food supplement is as follows; a) Boiling 25gr of artemisiaannua plant in 250ml distilled water at 50°C for 200 minutes and then letting the same rest, b) Adding 3% oleaeuroaea (olive leaf oil extract) into the mixture of artemisiaannua and distilled water, which is rested after boiling, mixing for 4 hours and obtaining a homogeneous mixture,
C) Packaging of the resulting liquid mixture.
After the process step (b) mentioned in an alternative embodiment of the invention, 1% colloidal silver water can be added into the homogeneous mixture and mixed for half an hour.
The inventive food supplement is preferably in the form of a spray and can also be provided in the form of drops.
The food supplement in spray form is applied by spraying directly into the oral cavity.
The food supplement in drop form is mixed with water and then drunk.
