Description

LIGHTED DRAWING TABLE
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a lighted drawing table that is generally used for drawing purposes, that enables the drawings made thereon to be transferred to a distant person with an image, that comprises a microcontroller card (raspberry pi, arduino etc.), camera, transparent table surface, display, and internet connection therein.
In particular, the present invention relates to a drawing table comprising a transparent drawing surface that automatically opens the video sharing application when the system is turned on, allowing the instructor to control the system and share from the system display.
State of the Art
Supporting education with various materials in educational institutions or in the institution where education is given is of great importance for both the education provider and the education field. These materials both help to understand the lecture and provide convenience to the trainee in the application of what has been learned.
For some training, basic training tools such as desks and chairs required to be customized as well as materials. One of the most important examples of this is technical drawing training. In order to perform technical drawing, not only the drawing tools, but also the drawing table and even the chair should be customized. Drawing tables are positioned horizontally, different from the classical training boards. Therefore, all the tools to be used with this table are produced specially for this.
Drawing tables are not preferred to be used with chalk like the classic blackboard, instead drawings are made on paper on these tables. Different solutions have been provided to this situation with the developing technology. Since the horizontal drawing table cannot be seen by everyone who is trained, movable tables have been produced. These tables allow the drawing to be made horizontally and brought to a vertical position for displaying after drawing.
Overhead projector systems are also a solution used for drawing trainings, however, optical reflective systems, known as overhead projectors, limit the movement area of the instructor. However, all of these solutions are solutions that can be used in face- to-face training.
It has recently been used on smart boards for drawing training. These boards have a touch display and allow the drawings made thereon to be transmitted to another display or board. These systems can be used both face-to-face and in online training, which is becoming very common today. However, these smart boards are both very costly and therefore, at least the instructor must be in a classroom.
Today, lighted boards are also used as a different solution. These lighted boards are systems that allows for illuminating the entire transparent surface and increasing the visibility of the writings by providing light to one side with a transparent surface. These systems are mostly used on vertical boards, and these boards are also suitable for use in classrooms.

The abstract section of the patent application numbered “TR 2002/02025” in the state of the art reads "Plexiglas with its back surface covered with foil and plastic sheet placed between the aluminum profiles is illuminated with a fluorescent bulb or led lamp positioned in the aluminum profile, in the lighted writing board that can be used as a blackboard in education and training, an information board in tourism, factories, hotels, restaurants, meeting and seminar halls, that can be written thereon in five colors (blue, yellow, green, pink, white) with its special pen, and writings on which can be easily erased if desired.

Since the intelligent boards used in the state of the art are vertical, it is not possible to use the materials in the drawing courses. For the standard drawing tables to be used in online classes, a camera should be placed on the table at a right angle. In addition, it is necessary to transfer these images to the computer and to share these images online (video stream) through the computer.
The installation of these systems is both very expensive in terms of products and external camera equipment is required for these products.
Consequently, the disadvantages disclosed above and the inadequacy of available solutions in this regard necessitated making an improvement in the relevant technical field.
Objects of the Invention
The most important object of the present invention is to allow the instructor to control the system and share from the system display by opening the video sharing application when the system is turned on, by means of having internal camera, display, microcontroller and input units. Thus, there is no need for an additional computer and hardware.
Another object of the present invention is to enable the instructors to transfer the images they draw on the drawing table to the participants in the course on a transparent surface.
Yet another object of the present invention is to process the images taken from the camera with the microcontroller and rotate the image in order to share it with the participants in the course. Thus, it can be shared via any video sharing application.
Yet another object of the present invention is to eliminate the requirement and necessity of a classroom by containing all the required elements thereon. Thus, the instructors are able to provide online education by installing the lighted drawing table of the present invention in their homes/offices.

Description of the Invention
The present invention is a lighted drawing table for use in technical drawing education, that enables the drawings made thereon to be transferred to a distant person with an image, that generally comprises touch display (11 ) comprising microphone (1) micro controller card (raspberry pi, arduino etc.); camera (5); transparent table surface (10); and Internet connection. When the drawing table is opened, it automatically opens the video sharing application, allowing the instructor to control the system and share from his/her display.
In general, the present invention comprises microphone (1 ), cable (2), angle adjusting arm (4), camera (5), body (7), lighting source (9), transparent table surface (10), touch display (11 ) having microcontroller and providing internet connection.
The microphone (1 ) receives the voice of the instructor and transmits it to the microcontroller of the touch display (11). On the other hand, the microcontroller transmits this sound it receives from the microphone (1 ) to the participants in the course. If preferred, the sound received from the microphone (1 ) can be recorded.
The cable (2) supplies the necessary power to the lighted drawing board. The cable (2) is preferably a USB cable and can have any port as needed. The cable (2) is connected to a power source. After this connection, the required energy is transferred to the touch display (11 ) with microprocessor, the camera (5), the microphone (1 ), and the lighting source (9).
The camera (5) is positioned on the camera mount (6) mounted on the body frame (12) located in the middle of the body (7), under the transparent table surface (10), and takes the image of the transparent table surface (10) and transmits it to the touch display (11) having a microcontroller.
The camera (5), located under the transparent table surface (10) and in the middle of this surface as a projection thereof, faces the non-drawing surface of the transparent table surface (10), not the drawing surface. It transmits the images it receives from this transparent table surface (10) to the microcontroller of the touch display (11 ). The microcontroller takes the mirror image of this received image and transmits it to the trainees over the internet. Thus, the reverse image taken by the camera (5) transferred to the user as a forward image.
The body (7) has triangular legs on both sides and the body frame (12) connecting these legs to each other, angle adjusting arm (4) on the triangular shaped legs, and body connection part (8) to which the angle adjusting arm is connected. The camera mount (6) is positioned such that it coincides with the middle of the body frame (12). The wide surface of the triangular feet contacts the ground. The surface in contact with the ground has a structure that narrows towards the other surface. There is an angle adjusting arm (4) at the end of its narrowest surface. The angle adjusting arm (4) provides the connection of the triangular leg with the body connection part (8). By tightening the angle adjusting arm (4), the body connection part (8) is fixed at the adjusted angle. By loosening the angle adjusting arm (4), the body connection part (8) can move angularly.
There are metal washers (3) on the body connection part (8). The lighting source (9) is connected to these metal washers (3). The transparent table surface (10) is connected to the lighting source (9). Thus, the angular movement of the body connection part (8) enables the transparent table surface (10) to move angularly in the same manner. By means of these angular movements, the transparent table surface (10) can be fully parallel to the floor or can be positioned at a certain angle in contact with the table legs relative to the floor.
The angle adjusting arm (4) is positioned between the table body (7) and the body connection part (8). The angle adjusting arm (4) ensures that the movable body connection part (8) is fixed and adjusted at the desired angle. Thus, the body adjusts the angle of the transparent table surface (10), which is connected on the angular movement of the connection part (8). The instructor can adjust the angle of the transparent table surface (10) by using the angle adjusting arm (4). Thus, he/she can draw by adjusting the transparent table surface (10) at any angle and at a position where he/she can feel comfortable.
The lighting source (9) is positioned between the body connection part (8) and the transparent table surface (10). It provides the lighting of the transparent table surface (10) by the energy it receives with the cable (2). Therefore, the texts written on the transparent table surface (10) become clear. The lighting source (9) may be any type of light such as LED, bulb, LED strip, RGB LED, fluorescent, and neon lamp. In addition, the lighting source (9) can be switched on and off with the help of a button thereon.
The transparent table surface (10) is in a structure on which drawings can be made and is lightened by the lighting source (9), allowing the drawings to become clear. The transparent table surface (10) is placed on the body connection part (8), which is connected to the table body (7), and the transparent table surface (10) is illuminated with the help of the lighting sources (9) located under the transparent table surface (10) on the body connection part (8). Thus, the drawings made on the transparent table surface (10) become clearer.
The touch display (11) has a microcontroller and takes the image of the instructor and the camera (5), thereby allowing the participants to be viewed and the instructor to control the system by touch. The microcontroller of the touch display (11 ) runs the video sharing application and processes the images it receives from the camera and rotates the image and ensures that it is shared with the participants. The microcontroller has Internet connection. The microphone (1) is connected to the camera (5) and the touch display (11 ) in order to transfer data.
The use of the lighted drawing table of the present invention is performed as follows. The body (7) and the transparent table surface (10) on the body (7) are positioned on the camera (5) on the body frame. The instructor adjusts the angle of the transparent table surface (10) by the angle adjusting arm (4). Then, it positions the microphone (1 ) and the touch display (11 ) on the transparent table surface (10) where it deems appropriate. With the help of the cable (2), the necessary power is given to the lighted drawing board. With the power received, the instructor can start the course broadcast with the touch display (11). After the course broadcast has started, the participants can still be viewed on this touch display (11).
The instructor can speak to any participant he/she desires with the touch display (11 ), invite someone to the course or remove one of the participants from the course.
After the course starts, the instructor draws on the transparent table surface (10). The images of the drawings made are taken with the camera (5).
The images taken with the camera (5) are transmitted to the participants in a forward form by taking their mirror image by the microprocessor. Meanwhile, the instructor conveys his/her explanations along with the drawing to the participants with the help of the microphone (1 ). The drawings made on the transparent table surface (10) are made clearer by turning on the lighting source (9).

Claims

CLAIMS A lighted drawing table that allows the drawings made thereon to be transferred with an image to a distant person, characterized by comprising;
• Microphone (1 ) that receives the voice of the instructor and that allows for transmitting it to the microcontroller of the touch display (11 ), and that allows the microcontroller to transmit the sound it receives to the participants in the course,
• Camera (5) that faces the non-drawing surface of the transparent table surface (10), that is located below the transparent table surface (10) and in the middle of this surface as a projection, that is positioned on the camera mount (6) mounted on the body frame (12), and that takes the image of the transparent table surface (10) and enables transmitting it to the touch display (11 ) with the microcontroller.
• Body (7) that has triangular legs on both sides; body frame (12) connecting these legs to each other; angle adjusting arm (8) that allows for fixing and adjusting the movable body connection part (8) located on triangular shaped legs and positioned between the table body (7) and the body connection part (8); and body connection part (8) where the angle adjustment arm (4) is connected;
• Lighting source (9) that allows for lighting the transparent table surface (10) with the energy it receives with the cable (2) positioned between the body connection part (8) and the transparent table surface (10), and that makes the writings on the transparent table surface (10) become clear,
• Transparent table surface (10), on which drawings can be made, that is lighted with a lighting source (9) and has a structure that allows drawings to become clearer, and that is connected to the table body (7) with the body connection part (8), • Touch display (11 ) with a micro-controller that takes the image of the instructor and the camera (5), that allows for viewing participants and controlling the system by touch, that allows the micro controller it has to run the video sharing application over it, that processes the images taken from the camera (5) and rotates the image and shares it with the participants. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; a cable (2), preferably a USB cable, which, by connecting to a power source, transfers the necessary energy to the touch display (11 ), camera (5), microphone (1 ) and lighting source (9) with microprocessor. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; camera mount (6) positioned to coincide with the middle of the body frame (12). A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; the body (7) the wide surface of the triangular shaped legs of which contacts the ground, said surface in contact with the ground having a structure that narrows towards the other surface. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 or Claim 4, characterized by comprising; body (7) with the angle adjusting arm (4) at the end of the narrowest surface of the triangular shaped legs thereof. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; angle adjusting arm (4) that allows the body connection part (8) to be fixed at the adjusted angle by tightening it, and allows the body connection part) to move angularly by loosening it. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; body connection part (8) that enables the transparent table surface (10) to move in the same manner with the angular movement thereof. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized by comprising; a button on the lighting source (9) that it has, enabling the lighting source (9) to be switched on and off. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 , characterized in that, the touch display (11 ) thereof comprises microcontroller that takes the mirror image of the image received from the camera (5) and transmits it to the participants over the internet, thereby allowing the reverse image taken by the camera (5) to be transferred in a forward form to the user. A lighted drawing table according to Claim 1 or Claim 9, characterized by comprising; microcontroller with internet connection, connected to the microphone (1 ), camera (5) and touch display (11 ) in order to transfer data.
