  • a multimeter is one of the most important devices in the world of electronics. It is frequently used for testing the accuracy of the elements used in a circuit, or for detecting an electronic problem at one point.
  • Multimeters comprise two twin-probe electrical testers to be able to measure voltage value, current value, and/or resistance value. Electrical testers are connected to a multimeter by means of a probe made of composite material. Probe connection ports vary in probe production. The multimeter is plugged into a probe connection port, a metal pin at the end portion of the multimeter is also plugged into a corresponding metal port in female form. Since the outer form of each multimeter is different, the connection type of electrical testers also varies. Therefore, probes and multimeters manufactured in the state of the art are not always compatible with each other.
  • probes in the electrical testers are fixed and not replaceable. Thus, a new probe is required due to the possible break or loss of the probe. Since the probes are sold together with the electrical testers and multimeters, an intact electrical tester and multimeter must also be replaced and purchased once again in case probes require replacement. The electrical tester and multimeter are purchased even though they are not damaged in order to procure the probes due to breaking or loss of the probe, thereby leading to extra costs and loss of time.
  • the electrical testers used in the state of the art are compatible with a single contact tip (pin tip or fork tip). A different contact tip (pin tip or fork tip) requires purchasing a new electrical tester. Separate electrical testers are purchased for each contact tip (pin tip or fork tip). This also incurs additional costs and results in time loss. On the other hand, since the multimeters and electrical testers are imported goods, this causes an increase in product cost, transportation, stock cost, and due date.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a twin-probe electrical tester with a replaceable probe that is compatible to be connected various multimeters in case the probe is broken or lost.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a twin-probe electrical tester with extensibility by means of attaching a second electrical tester to the probe that is plugged into the electrical tester.
  • Yet another object of the present invention is to reduce costs and save time by providing a probe that can be supplied as a replaceable part without the requirement of purchasing a new multimeter in case the probe requires replacement.

  • Probes (2) are made of composite (glass fiber reinforced plastic) material. A composite material is preferred in the production of probe (2) since it is light, resistant to water and the external environment in addition to being nonconductive.

Probes (2) produced as replacement parts can be supplied easily. There is no need for purchasing a new multimeter and electrical tester since the probe (2) is produced, sold, and/or used as a replacement part, thereby providing advantages in product cost, transportation, stock cost, and due date by means of the replaceable feature of the probe (2).
