Abstract

A table top wet grinder having an Electronic Controller positioned at the bottom assembly of a base unit characterized in that the Electronic Controller is adapted for operation of Wet grinder functions, Centrifugal Juicer functions. Cold press Juicer functions Food Processor functions (Atta kneading, Grating, Slicing, Coconut scrapping, Vegetable chopping). Mixer grinding & Blender Juicing functions by controlling RPM of the motor with constant output power. The Electronic Controlled motor used in the Table Top Wet grinder can be one of Single phase AC motor. The table top wet grinder as claimed wherein the Electronic Controller is configured to motor such that the main drive shaft is interconnected to the motor coupler element directly with the shaft or by Belt and gear drive transmissions, to operate the specified attachments. In Wet grinder attachment a wet grinding drum set can be coupled onto the motor coupler for performing operation.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to the field of food processing. Still further, this invention relates to the field of integrated food processing especially involving in Indian / Asian type of cooking. Furthermore this invention relates to the field of providing a table top wet grinder for getting batter for making various food items ( Indian and Asian types) integrated along with a Centrifugal Juicer attachment, Cold Press Juicer Attachment, Food processor Attachment and a Mixer Grinder & Blender Juicer Attachment.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
In the kitchen appliances industry, which has seen radical changes over the decades, the processing of various raw materials, viz., converting of food grains in water soaked conditions and pulverizing or grinding them for making of batter for preparation of India and Asian type of breakfast, food items, or squeezing of various type of fruits and extracting of their pulp / juices and using them for preparation of beverages and other foods, or scraping of coconuts in getting shredded flakes of the coconut kernels for them to be used in preparation of various food items, kneading and leavening of wheat flour ( atta), there has been constant efforts to automate their products using various appliances, devices, and machines. This has been done to increase productivity and for mass scale cooking.
Resorting to manual methods of grinding of batter or scraping of coconuts or squeezing of fruits etc for extraction of juice, pulp etc, would be not only a laborious task, and may not be able to give required quantity of raw ingredients for preparation of food, but also, aspects such as hygiene would take a back seat and also, ever increasing labour costs and non availability of manual labour at times, poses challenges in food making industry. This necessitates various food processing machines to perform preparatory raw ingredients to be used for cooking.
But it must be also borne in mind that introduction of automation for achieving raw ingredients like batter, juices and pulps, shredded coconut, too has posed its inherent challenges like multiplicity of implements, machines, processors involved in the process which may not only be occupying more space in the kitchen of any food manufacturing unit, but also, they may utilize more electricity etc and thus become uneconomical in the longer run.
Thus it has been the constant endeavour in food processing industry to optimize usage of power and also, occupy lesser space and ergonomics etc, for which an integrated approach of having a single appliance, machine for various processes such as grinding, pulverizing, of batter from pre soaked food grains, cereals, etc shredding, scraping of coconuts, etc, and juicing, squeezing of fruits ( citrus fruits especially)
Here it can be seen that an integrated table top wet grinder, which is is a multi-purpose kitchen appliance, and which is most suitable to the range of a. Centrifugal juicing b. Cold press Juicing c. Food processing such as Atta kneading, Grating, slicing, Coconut scrapping, Vegetable chopping and a d.. Mixer grinding and Blender Juicer applications can be done in a single appliance and thus achieving versatility of operations in a single device / appliance and achieving economy in space utilization and power consumption and various host of benefits is provided.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
It is an objective of the invention to provide an integrated appliance used for achieving preparatory ingredients for food manufacture especially in Indian / Asian foods preparation. Still further, it is yet another object of the present invention to provide an integrated appliance which can perform operations like Centrifugal juicing,. Cold press Juicing , Food processing such as Atta kneading, Grating, slicing, Coconut scrapping, Vegetable chopping and Mixer grinding and Blender Juicer applications in a single device with easily interchangeable operations and minimum of accessories.
Furthermore it is yet another aspect of the present invention, to provide an integrated food processing appliance to perform versatile operations with optimum usage of power and use lesser space.
Furthermore, this invention relates to that of providing a versatile food processing implement to perform host of ingredients preparation for food manufacture eliminating the requirement of a number of appliances for performing similar tasks.
Description of the Invention
Table top wet grinder consists of an Electronic Controller positioned at the bottom of a base unit to control the motor rpm range from 40 to 22000 to operate wet grinder attachments.
1. Wet grinder - 65 RPM to 180 RPM
2. Centrifugal Juicer-6000 RPM to 15000 RPM
3. Cold press Juicer - 40 RPM to 100 RPM
4. Food processor Attachment - 60 RPM to 1000 RPM
5. Mixer grinder & Blender Juicer Attachment - 6000 RPM to 22000 RPM, Where Suitably adjusted to RPM needs of end usage. Where the Speed of the wet grinder remains at constant at speed, between the range of 100 to 150 RPM while the wet grinding drum placed. The Speed controller will be enabled only after placing any one of the adaptor attachments by actuating the micro-switch. The Micro-switch may be of Contact or Non-Contact Type (Actuated by either Mechanically / Electronically). Hence the Speed can be varied from 40 to 22000 RPM to operate the attachments.
The disclosed table top wet grinder is configured to perform wet grinding functions and a plurality of Juicing in Centrifugal and Cold Press Juicing type, Food processing, Mixer grinding and Blender Juicing functions. The technical problem involved in using the Electronic Controller of a table top wet grinder to perform a plurality of functions relates to the differences in power and drive speeds required for these plurality of functions. The table top wet grinder must supply a substantial amount of power for wet grinder attachment functions at variable speeds that could vary from a few RPM to about a few thousand RPM.
Further, the Table top wet grinder must be able to supply substantially high power at low speeds i.e., in the order of minimum 40RPM to 100 RPM for Cold Press Juicer, 65RPM to 180RPM for wet grinding, 60RPM to 1000RPM for Food processor unit applications. On the other extreme, the Mixer grinder & Blender Juicers must be driven at speeds far in excess for those suitable for wet grinding i.e., in the order of as high as 6000 RPM to 22000 RPM and 6000RPM to 15000RPM for Centrifugal Juicing.
The different ranges of speed are substantially different, and the average speed of the higher end may be between 30 to 35 times greater than the average speed of the lower one. Hence, in prior art solutions, different types of motors are required to drive different types of attachments (Each application required different motor previously), namely the Wet grinder, Centrifugal Juicer, Cold press Juicer, Food processor and Mixer grinder & Blender Juicer). This means that a user has to pay for upto five motors in order to have different functions in this table top wet grinder. The present invention provides a technical solution to scope with the plurality of speed and power requirements to accommodate multi-purpose functions.

Claims

We claim,
1) An integrated food processing appliance working in plurality of speed range for performing various operations in processing of preliminary raw materials for food processing viz., Wet grinding, Centrifugal Juicing, Cold press Juicing, Food processing and Mixer grinding & Blender Juicing wherein, the Electronic Controller of a table top wet grinder to perform a plurality of functions relates to the differences in power and drive speeds required for these plurality of functions
2) The integrated food processing appliance as claimed in claim 1 , wherein to supply substantially high power at low speeds i.e., in the order of minimum 40RPM to 100 RPM for Cold Press Juicer, 65RPM to 180RPM for wet grinding, 60RPM to 1000RPM for Food processor unit applications and on the other extreme, the Mixer grinder & Blender Juicers must be driven at speeds far in excess for those suitable for wet grinding i.e., in the order of as high as 6000 RPM to 22000 RPM and 6000RPM to 15000RPM for Centrifugal Juicing.
3) The integrated table top food processing appliance as claimed in claim 1, is capable of performing versatile operations viz., Centrifugal juicing,. Cold press Juicing , Food processing such as Atta kneading, Grating, slicing, Coconut scrapping, Vegetable chopping and Mixer grinding and Blender Juicer applications in a single device with easily interchangeable operations and minimum of accessories.
