Definitions
- the utility model relates to the field of personal care products, in particular to shaving accessories that can be used at home when shaving with modern safety razors.
- the single-blade razor allows you to shave optimally. They can quite accurately repeat the contours of the face or body, turning at any angle. But at the same time, its use requires great accuracy and uniformity in movements. With such a machine, careless handling can easily injure the skin.
- the multi-blade razor provides a closer shave and reduces razor movement. The likelihood of skin irritation is correspondingly reduced.
- the cartridge razor is the most "advanced" device among razors. Manufacturers equip it with particularly thin blades, floating heads, all kinds of indicator strips with softening and bactericidal action, as well as microcombs that lift the hairs, facilitate the shave and make it as smooth as possible.
- Skin irritation is a typical disadvantage of shaving with a razor. This happens because the blades in the process of shaving, as it were, pierce the skin itself, removing its upper protective layer. The more movements you need to make, the higher the likelihood of injuring the skin, making the skin very sensitive and vulnerable to bacteria. Therefore, when choosing a machine, you need to focus on a model in which the blades are in direct contact with the hairs, affecting the skin as little as possible.
- Multi-bladed razors are known, one of which is a cassette with shaving blades (RU 2664072, class B26V21 / 54, 08/14/2018), containing a frame with a snap mechanism for attaching it to a shaving machine and blades with a cutting edge mounted in the frame on working end, the number of which is from two to five.
- the blades are made of different widths and are installed stepwise and close to each other to form a multilayer block fixed in the frame.
- the blades are located in the mentioned multilayer block from having the largest width and located on the side of the latch mechanism to having the smallest width, and the cutting edge of each blade is made with a sharpening angle located on the axis of symmetry of the blade, and the frame is made of 11-shaped form of metal or plastic.
- the cutting edge of the blade undergoes numerous force contacts with rather rigid elements of the hair, due to which increased mechanical effects of the cut hair occur on the cutting edges of the blades with the formation of a series of bending moments, which ultimately cause a change in the shape of the cutting edge, and, as a result, rapid wear (blunting ) blade. This leads to a poor quality of shaving and increased morbidity of the skin.
- Known multi-blade razor (RU 170017, class B26V21/52, 04/11/2017), containing a cassette with blades pivotally connected to the handle of the machine with the ability to change the angle of the cassette by turning it around the axis and locking in a given position.
- the handle of the machine is equipped with a hollow cylinder made on one side with teeth and a tube made with a thread on the inner surface.
- the hollow cylinder is made in the front part with a smaller diameter, and the tube is located in it, while in the hollow cylinder there is a spring located on the tube with an emphasis on one side in the part with a smaller diameter of the hollow cylinder, and on the opposite side - in the head of the screw screwed into the tube, wherein the blade cassette is provided with teeth corresponding to and in contact with the teeth of the hollow cylinder.
- the known device is complex in design. Its use requires certain skills, which makes it difficult to use it in everyday life.
- a characteristic disadvantage of the razor is that the hair section with sliding has an uncompensated sliding over the skin, which can lead to injury when shaving.
- a shaving machine (RU 2493957, class B26B 21/28, 11/01/2012), containing a cassette with open blades and a handle in which a battery with an electric motor is installed.
- the handle is equipped with a crank mechanism connected to the said cassette, the blades in which are installed in an oblique direction at an angle of 30 to 60°.
- the sliding angle will be greater than the angle of friction of the hair on the blade of the shaving machine. What causes lack of strength adhesion of hair particles to the cutting edge of the blade when it is moved. As a result, a sawing effect on the hair is created by the micro protrusions of the blade.
- a kinematic transformation of the sharpening angle of the blade edge occurs, leading to premature chipping of the microparticles of the cutting edge of the blade.
- the technical problem of the utility model is the creation of a multi-blade razor with increased resistance of the cutting edge of the blade, leading to an increase in the quality of shaving.
- the technical result of the utility model is to increase the service life of the cutting edge of the blade during its use.
- the shaving machine includes a cartridge, in the body of which blades are fixed, located at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the body.
- blades with cutting edges are mounted at an angle a from 1 to 10° to the longitudinal axis of the cartridge body.
- the number of blades in the cassette can be from 1 to 6.
- the longitudinal axis of the cassette body is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the razor handle to fix the specified angle (from 1 to 10°) of the inclination of the blades relative to the longitudinal axis of the cartridge body.
- Installing the blade at an angle a from 1° to 10° to the longitudinal axis of the cartridge body ensures smooth sliding of the blades over the skin, increases the service life of the blade, and hence the duration of its use when comfortable shaving quality, due to the optimal transformation of the sharpening angle.
- Changing the declared tilt angles up or down to the longitudinal axis of the cartridge body will adversely affect the hardness of the cutting edge and the kinematic transformation of the sharpening angle of the blade edge, thereby reducing its service life.
- FIG. 1 shows a razor.
- the shaving machine includes a cartridge, in the body 1 of which blades 2 are fixed, with cutting edges located at an angle a from 1 to 10° to the longitudinal axis 3 of the body 1 of the cartridge.
- the number of blades 2 in the cartridge can be from 1 to 6.
- the longitudinal axis 3 of the cartridge body 1 is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 4 of the handle 5 of the shaver.
- the hair is cut off by an oblique cut at an angle OS of 1 to 10°, given by a fixed location of the blades 2 in the housing 1.
- Normal pressure will act on the hair, and, at the same time, a lateral force from the movement of the blade 2 along the skin, which reduces the limit of the normal pressure on the hair required for the initial cutting process, providing a cleaner cut.
- the lateral force cannot cause the blade 2 to slide over the hair particles due to the superior frictional force, since the sliding angle (determined by the angle
- OS of inclination of the blade 2 to the longitudinal axis of the body 1) is less than the angle of friction of the hair on the cutting edge of the blade 2, in contrast to cutting, where the angle of sliding is greater than the angle of friction on the hair.
- the angle of friction is determined by the coefficient of friction of the hair against the material from which the blade 2 is made. In this case, the particles of the hair material move along with the blade 2 and cutting is performed only with the participation of the normal force. At the same time, a decrease in cutting force is observed, due to a decrease in the actual sharpening angle blade 2 when it moves with a given angle of inclination, from 1 to 10° to the longitudinal axis of the body 1 of the cartridge.
- the basic principle of an oblique cut is that in the plane of the cutting edge of the blade 2, the cutting force vector acts in two directions, and the hair is cut off, and not undercut, as with a straight cut or with a cut with an angle of inclination of the blade exceeding 10 ° to the longitudinal axis body 1. This will be the very correct "oblique" cut, which is the basis of the utility model.
- the utility model makes it possible to improve and enrich the technical arsenal of shaving machines. Shaving with the cutting blades at an angle of 1 to 10° will reduce the level of hair resistance and the force required to cut, reduce skin irritation when shaving, reduce blade wear, and thus increase blade life.
- the utility model may have a wide distribution in the shaving market.
- the shaving machine can be manufactured using existing equipment and known technologies.
- a prototype razor has now been produced, which has been tested and found to offer 50% longer blade life than those known on the market, while shaving comfortably, quickly and without skin irritation.
