Description
A HELMET AND ENGINE SAFETY DEVICE FOR VEHICLES WITH HELMET USE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a helmet and engine safety device for vehicles with helmet use. These vehicles include motorcycles, bicycles, electric scooters and off-road vehicles known as AT Vs.
Prior Art
Nowadays, the use of civil and commercial motorcycles is increasingly common. Especially during the current corona vims epidemic, with the extraordinary increase in the demands of people and institutions to meet their needs remotely, the delivery of commercial goods by motorcycle courier is in great demand. This makes it even more important for both civilian motorcycle users and commercial motorcycle users to ride safely, that is, to wear a helmet while riding.
Especially in Turkey and the world in general, low-cost and easy to install systems that oblige motorcycle riders to wear their helmets and enable remote monitoring are not seen. The present inventor has invented a helmet and engine safety device that both obliges these riders to wear helmets and add extra security against theft for the motorcycle being used. With this invention, the driving safety and remote monitoring of the delivery made by motorcycles will be provided to a great extent.
For example, the International patent application WO 2015/162624 A2 entitled “Safety helmet device”, mentions the use of photodiode as a sensor to determine whether the user is wearing the helmet (page 6, line 22). In our present invention, on the other hand, both a magnetic switch inside the clip of the helmet and a mechanical switch on the inner surface of the helmet verify that the helmet is fitted correctly.
Summary of The Invention
The present invention relates to a helmet and engine safety device for vehicles with helmet use and comprises: a helmet switch positioned inside the helmet and activated by the person wearing the helmet on his head, a magnetic clip switch that allows current to flow to the helmet switch by joining the first wire and the second wire, when the clip for attaching the helmet engages to the clip slot, a helmet transmitter that allows the engine
to work by sending a signal to the engine circuit wirelessly after activating the magnetic clip switch and the helmet switch, an engine circuit that controls the switching on and off of the motor in accordance with the signal it receives from the helmet transmitter.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
With the present invention, a helmet and engine safety device for vehicles with helmet use is provided. As seen in Figures 1 to 8, a helmet and engine safety device according to the present invention, comprises: a helmet switch (3) positioned inside the helmet (1) and activated by the person wearing the helmet (1) on his head, a magnetic clip switch (6) that allows current to flow to the helmet switch (3) by joining the first wire (7) and the second wire (8), when the clip (4) for attaching the helmet (1) engages to the clip slot (5), a helmet transmitter (2) that allows the engine to work by sending a signal to the engine circuit (12) wirelessly after activating the magnetic clip switch (6) and the helmet switch (3), an engine circuit (12) that controls the switching on and off of the motor in accordance with the signal it receives from the helmet transmitter (2)and said helmet transmitter (2)
comprises an RF transmitter card (9), an RF signal transmitter (10) and a button (11) activated by mechanical pressing of the helmet switch (3) and said engine circuit (12) comprises an RF relay module (13) controlled by the RF signal transmitter (10), a GSM relay module (14) controlled by the mobile phone, a SIM card chip (15) that enables communication with the mobile phone and an RF signal receiver (16) that receives signals from the RF signal transmitter (10).
In the helmet and engine safety device according to the present invention, said helmet switch (3) is one or more switches selected from the group consisting of a mechanical button switch, a photocell switch, a capacitive proximity switch, an accelerometer sensor.
Furthermore, a helmet and engine safety device according to the present invention also comprises a mobile phone application that can remotely control the GSM relay module (14) by means of the SIM card chip (15) and turn the engine of the vehicle on and off when necessary.
Also, in another preferred embodiment of the present invention, said helmet transmitter (2) and said engine circuit (12) also contain circuit elements capable of signal transmission with wifi technology and bluetooth technology.
Circuit Elements
RF relay module (13): This card, operating at a frequency of 433 MHz, is a remote controllable relay card used in various electronic and robotic cards, systems requiring remote intervention and also remotely controlled structures. The card has a single channel and the relay on it can be adjusted according to demand, whether it is open or closed. In addition, thanks to the features of encryption and transmitter defined, it allows using more than one receiver-transmitter on the same frequency.
GSM relay module (14): This module is used to turn the whole system on and off over the mobile phone.
RF transmitter card (9): The signal given by the RF transmitter card (9) directly matched with the RF relay module (13) will trigger the RF relay module (13) and make it work.
Helmet switch (3): It is a circuit switch that we will be positioned inside the helmet (1) and operates in connection with the RF transmitter card (9).
Magnetic clip switch (6): The magnetic clip switch (6) that we will be placed on the clip (4) section of the helmet (1) is the circuit switch in the clip (4) that will enable current to flow to the helmet switch (3).
Working Principle
Engine System:
The RF relay module (13) will be connected directly to the starter motor cables of our engine, the signal from the RF signal transmitter (10) will ensure that the starter motor can be triggered.
The GSM relay module (14) will be directly connected to the starter cables, and our module, which will become active and passive via SMS or call, will provide remote control.
The relay of the RF relay module (13) will be connected to one of the 2 cables in the starter motor and will trigger the cranking by the controllable current passing over it.
The relay of the GSM relay module (14) will be connected to the other of the 2 cables in the starter motor and will trigger the cranking by the controllable current passing over it (by SMS or call).
Unless the RF relay module (13) and the GSM relay module (14) simultaneously trigger the starter motor, the engine will not come into operation.
Helmet System:
The RF transmitter card (9) connected to the two switch systems is responsible for directly triggering the RF relay module (13). The magnetic clip switch (6) located in the clip (4) part of the helmet (1), which is the first of these switches, will transmit the current when the clip (4) is attached. This transmission will reach the helmet switch (3) located in the head area. The helmet switch (3) will become active when the helmet (1) is worn on the head, transmitting the current to the RF transmitter card (9) and make the circuit ready for operation. If the helmet switch (3) and magnetic clip switch (6) are not activated at the same time, the current from the circuits will not make the RF signal transmitter (10) ready for operation.
Thanks to the helmet and motor safety device according to the present invention, the following are realized.
i) Unless the motorcycle user puts the helmet on his head and places the clip in the clip socket, the engine will not be able to start, ii) By the communication of the RF signal transmitter (10) and the RF signal receiver (16), it is ensured that a particular helmet is worn for a particular motorcycle, ie the helmet and the motorcycle are matched. Otherwise, the engine is not allowed to run, iii) If the motorcycle user takes the helmet and walks away, the motorcycle cannot be started and taken away by a possible thief, because the motorcycle's engine will not start unless the device on the helmet allows it, iv) Even if the motorcycle is stolen without starting the engine, its location can be easily determined by means of the SIM card chip (15).
