Abstract

The present invention relates to a cable assembly for a camera, the cable assembly comprising: pin terminals connected to a cable; and an inner molding part that encloses a portion of the pin terminals therein. The inner molding part includes: a body that forms the exterior and has therein a plurality of through-holes through which a portion of the pin terminals pass; and cutout portions formed in the side wall of the body by cutting both sides of portions in which the through-holes are formed. When the pin terminals pass through the through-holes of the body, the cutout portions move outward and widen the space through which the pin terminals pass. The present invention has the effects of making it easy to assemble a pin connector and increasing the force with which the pin connector is fixed to the cable.

Description

The present invention relates to a cable assembly for a camera, and more particularly, to a camera cable that facilitates assembly of the pin terminal and increases the fixing force of the pin terminal to the cable.
Various electronic devices, such as a camera module, have a structure in which power is supplied from the outside and an electrical signal is received or transmitted to an external control device.
In particular, automotive electronics require an integrated cable assembly to power the camera and transmit multiple signals.
That is, there is a need for a camera cable assembly capable of preventing damage and failure of the camera due to moisture penetration by securing high watertightness while stably maintaining electrical contact for transmitting power and camera signals.
Accordingly, the connector for connecting the various signal lines included in the cable to the electronic device should have less noise generated at the connection portion and there should be no risk of disconnection of each signal line. In addition, when moisture generated inside a cable including a plurality of extensions penetrates into the connection part with the electronic device, corrosion of the connection part may occur. Therefore, a cable connector for connecting a vehicle electronic device that can be easily exposed to temperature changes in an external environment to a cable must have excellent electrical connection reliability and physical fastening force.
In the case of a conventional cable assembly for a camera, an electric wire is inserted into a pin, and a portion protruding from the inside of the pin is electrically connected through contact with the electric wire.
However, in the case of such a structure, when an external force such as bending is applied, contact failure may easily occur.
