- the checkout counter with a reading, checking, sanitizing and monitoring system, applied in supermarkets and the like, object of the present invention comprises a counter (100) equipped with a single operation for two checkouts, so that the counter ( 100) is equipped with automatic readers (20) with a high reading rate combined with a sanitization tunnel (30) arranged at the end of the conveyor belt (101).
- the automatic reader (20) is equipped with side walls (21) and an upper structure (22) that allows the arrangement of all the reading components, said reader (20) that is fitted and fixed next to the counter (100) ) through screw.
- the sets of cameras (211) are positioned at specific angles that allow the identification and reading of the information of the product that passes through the conveyor (100) in any direction , said sets of cameras (211) are provided with supports that allow proper calibration and positioning of the cameras.
- the reader (20) is equipped with a volumetric analysis of the products through a 3D camera (221) that is positioned on the upper structure (22) and facing the conveyor belt (101), so that it monitors the products that pass through the conveyor belt and record volume information, combined with the set of cameras and mirrors arranged in the reader (20).
- the 3D camera (221) added to the reader (20) allows an analysis of the product image to suggest potential similar products to the operator, in case the system cannot read the product code and barcodes, so that he can select the item suggested without having to touch the product. This analysis also allows the product to be checked by crossing barcode, product volume and image characteristics (product label), this checking is crucial to prevent fraud at the point of sale and help reduce retail losses.
- the sanitization tunnel (30) is equipped with side walls (31), upper structure (32) and curtain (33) along the front and rear faces, so that the tunnel (30) is positioned and fixed on the counter (100) next to the automatic reader (20) so that the product that passes through the reader is directed to the tunnel (30) to be sanitized.
- Sanitization is carried out through the process of atomizing water particles and the sanitizing product (Quaternary Ammonium) in a proportion of 1 part of the product to 30 parts of water, as determined by ANVISA.
- the sanitizing product is sprayed onto the product through nozzles (321) positioned next to the upper structure (32).
- the tunnel (30) is equipped with a set of sensors (not shown) positioned along the upper portion (32) and side walls (31) that identify the presence of the product in order to inform the counter management system ( 100) that promotes the activation of the nozzles (321) and the sanitization of the product for a variable time that can be configurable according to the need to use the counter, according to the types of products to be processed.
- the sanitizing product is stored inside a reservoir (34) arranged inside the base of the counter (100), and this product is directed to the tunnel (30) through a pump (35) that allows directing the fluid to the nozzles (321).
- the reservoir (34) is equipped with a sensor (not shown) connected to the counter management system (100) that allows identifying the level of the sanitizing product and informing the operator when it is necessary to complete the reservoir.
- the checkout counter (100) is equipped, at the end opposite the automatic reader, with a control and monitoring center (40) for the operator, said center that is equipped with monitors (41) and keyboard (42) for analysis and operator management of the information issued by the system. Furthermore, the control unit (40) is equipped with a pair of monitors (43) intended for checking and viewing the purchase by consumers.
- the counter (100) is equipped with a camera (50), facing the aisle where the customer passes through the checkout, being intended to check items inside the cart when the customer passes through the aisle next to the checkout, generating an alert for the operator.
- the camera is positioned to constantly monitor everything that passes through the aisle, looking for the presence of the shopping cart all the time and when it identifies it checks for products inside that have not passed through the conveyor belt, so it emits a signal and warning to the operator next to the monitor (41).
- the counter (100) is equipped with a camera (60) and monitor (61) positioned next to the upper portion (22) of the reader (20) that faces the checkout line, verifying social distance between customers, verifying the use of masks and performing customer accounting and average customer queue time to assist queue management for retailers.
- the 3D camera (60) faces the queue so that it maintains a constant identification of the presence of people and calculates the distance between people. The fact of detecting the person in the image allows the system to verify if the customer is wearing a protective mask (PPE).
- PPE protective mask
- the system When the system detects the problem of distance and lack of mask, it informs the operator through a message on the screen (41), but also displays an alert through an image on the monitor (61) which is positioned above the camera (60 ) and keeps constant monitoring of the queue.
- the counter (100) is equipped with a retractable drawer (70) to accommodate the shopping baskets, positioned in the front portion of the counter in order to facilitate the removal of purchases.
- the retractable drawer (70) is manually operated by the user when necessary.
- the counter (100) is equipped with a control center (80) positioned at the base of the counter, which is equipped with a set of electronic components linked to a software that allow the management of the entire set, the control of all information, and this central (80) is interconnected to the cashier software that enables visual identification by image processing.
- a control center (80) positioned at the base of the counter, which is equipped with a set of electronic components linked to a software that allow the management of the entire set, the control of all information, and this central (80) is interconnected to the cashier software that enables visual identification by image processing.
- the system also performs item volume calculation, as well as customizable reports and alerts. Ensuring greater variability in the application according to the user's need.
- the counter control and management system presents the following information processing and reading steps:
- the customer positions himself in front of the operations monitor (61 ) and the system checks if he is wearing a mask through the camera (60). If the customer is not wearing a mask, the system does not start processing and waits for the customer to put the mask on to start the operation;
- the system enables the form for the customer to fill in his CPF (optional) on the screen, if he wants to sanitize the purchases and then press the button to start the purchase process;
- the operation monitor (of the customer) starts to display the POS screen and the treadmill is turned on;
- the system sends the code to the POS and then the POS searches for the product in the database and displays its information on the screen, which is replicated on the client's monitor, along with the subtotal;
- the system indicates a list of probable products for the operator to confirm on the screen (41). If the product is listed, the operator selects the correct product from the list and its code is sent to the POS. If not listed, the operator manually reads the product;
- the system checks if there are any customers in the queue through the camera (60). If yes, it returns to the beginning of the operating cycle. If not, the operation is terminated and is waiting for a new start.
