Description

조명장치
발명의 실시 예는 면 광을 제공하는 조명장치에 관한 것이다. 발명의 실시 예는 면 광을 발광하는 조명장치를 갖는 차량용 램프에 관한 것이다.
최근에는 차량용 광원으로서, 발광 다이오드를 채용하는 램프가 제안되고 있다. 백열등과 비교하면, 발광 다이오드는 소비 전력이 작다는 점에서 유리하다. 그러나, 발광 다이오드로부터 출사되는 광의 출사각이 작기 때문에, 발광 다이오드를 차량용 램프로 사용할 경우에는, 발광 다이오드를 이용한 램프의 발광 면적을 증가시켜 주기 위한 요구가 있다. 발광 다이오드는 점 광원 형태로 발광함으로써, 면 광으로 제공하기 위한 광학 부재의 개발이 요구되고 있다.
발명의 실시 예는 면 광을 제공하는 새로운 조명장치를 제공할 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예는 제1면 광을 발광하는 조명모듈 및 상기 제1면 광을 제2면 광으로 발광하기 위해 복수의 층을 갖는 광학 부재를 갖는 조명장치를 제공할 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예는 사이드 뷰 타입의 광원을 이용하여 면 광을 발광하는 조명장치를 제공할 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예는 상기 조명장치를 갖는 라이트 유닛, 표시장치, 또는 차량용 램프를 제공할 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 따른 조명장치는 기판, 상기 기판 상에 복수의 광원, 및 상기 복수의 광원을 몰딩하는 레진층을 포함하며, 제1면 광을 발광하는 조명모듈; 상기 조명모듈로부터 입사된 제1면 광을 제2면 광으로 제공하며, 일측에 형광체층, 타측에 표면 처리층을 갖는 투광층, 상기 투광층과 상기 형광체층을 접착시키는 접착층을 갖는 광학 부재; 및 상기 조명모듈과 상기 광학 부재 사이를 에어 갭으로 이격시키는 제1공간부를 포함할 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 형광체층은 상기 제1면 광이 입사되는 입사측에 배치되며, 상기 형광체층은 상기 투광층의 하면 전체에 배치된 제1형광체층, 상기 제1형광체층의 하면에 배치된 복수의 제1차광층 및 상기 제1차광층의 하면에 배치된 복수의 제2차광층을 포함하며, 상기 복수의 제1,2차광층은 상기 광원들 각각과 수직 방향으로 중첩되며, 상기 제2차광층들 각각의 하면 면적은 상기 제1차광층들 각각의 하면 면적보다 작을 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 제1형광체층, 상기 제1,2차광층은 동일한 적색 형광체를 가질 수 있다. 다른 예에 의하면, 상기 제1형광체층에 첨가된 불순물과 상기 제1, 2차광층 중 적어도 하나에 첨가된 불순물은 서로 다를 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 광원들 각각의 중심에서 상기 중심에 수직한 중심 축으로부터 상기 제2차광층의 외측 에지까지의 각도는 17.5도 내지 25도의 범위이며, 상기 광원들 각각의 중심에서 상기 중심 축으로부터 상기 제1차광층의 외측 에지까지의 각도는 30도 내지 40도의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1형광체층은 상기 제1,2차광층의 두께보다 크며, 상기 제1차광층은 상기 제2차광층의 두께보다 클 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 조명모듈의 두께는 상기 제1공간부의 높이보다 작을 수 있다. 상기 투광층은 상기 제2면 광의 출사측에 배치되며, 상기 투광층은 내부에 확산제를 포함하며, 상기 표면 처리층은 표면에 요철 패턴을 가질 수 있다. 상기 표면 처리층은 상기 투광층과 일체로 형성될 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 광학 부재 상에 아웃터 렌즈, 및 상기 광학 부재와 상기 아웃터 렌즈 사이에 제2공간부를 포함할 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 따른 조명장치는 레진층; 상기 레진층의 일측에 광원; 상기 광원이 배치된 기판; 상기 레진층의 하면으로부터 이격되며 돌기 패턴들을 갖는 투광층; 및 상기 투광층의 하부에 반사 시트를 포함하며, 상기 돌기 패턴들은 상기 투광층의 적어도 3영역에 각각 배치되며, 상기 광원에 인접한 제1영역에 배치된 제1돌기 패턴, 중앙의 제2영역에 배치된 제2돌기 패턴, 및 상기 광원에 가장 먼 제3영역에 배치된 제3돌기 패턴을 포함하며, 상기 제3돌기 패턴은 상기 제1돌기 패턴의 밀도보다 높고 상기 제1돌기 패턴의 사이즈보다 작을 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 레진층 상부에 형광체층 및 프리즘 시트 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 광원은 상기 레진층의 일측 면 또는 하면 일측에 복수로 배치될 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴은 상기 제2돌기 패턴의 높이보다 높은 높이를 갖고, 상기 제3돌기 패턴은 상기 제2돌기 패턴의 높이보다 낮은 높이를 가질 수 있다. 상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 바닥의 한 변의 길이는 서로 다르며, 상기 제1돌기 패턴의 바닥의 한 변의 길이가 제2,3돌기 패턴의 바닥 한 변의 길이보다 클 수 있다. 상기 투광층은 상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 둘레에 오목한 리세스를 포함할 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 의하면, 상기 리세스는 상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 측면 중심에 인접할수록 더 깊은 길이를 가질 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴들 각각은 뿔 형상이며, 각 돌기 패턴의 높이가 상기 각 돌기 패턴의 바닥 한 변의 길이보다 작을 수 있다. 상기 레진층과 상기 투광층 사이에 공간부를 포함할 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예는 조명장치에서 면 광의 광 균일도를 개선시켜 줄 수 있다. 또한 조명장치는 면 광의 핫 스팟을 제거하고 램프의 미 점등시 표면 컬러를 개선할 수 있다. 또한 조명장치는 조명모듈 상에 유색 형광체 필름을 구비하여 점등시 형광체 필름의 컬러로 이미지를 구현할 수 있고, 미점등 시의 컬러 이미지를 차량 램프로 인식시켜 줄 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예는 플렉시블한 면 광원을 제공할 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예는 조명모듈 및 이를 갖는 조명장치의 광학적인 신뢰성을 개선시켜 줄 수 있다. 또한 조명장치를 갖는 차량용 램프의 신뢰성을 개선시켜 줄 수 있으며, 다른 라이트 유닛 또는 표시장치에 적용될 수 있다.

본 발명에 따른 조명장치는 조명이 필요로 하는 다양한 램프장치, 이를테면 차량용 램프, 가정용 조명장치, 또는 산업용 조명장치에 적용이 가능하다. 예컨대 차량용 램프에 적용되는 경우, 헤드 램프, 차폭등, 사이드 미러등, 안개등, 테일등(Tail lamp), 제동등, 주간 주행등, 차량 실내 조명, 도어 스카프(door scar), 리어 콤비네이션 램프, 백업 램프 등에 적용 가능하다. 본 발명의 조명장치는 실내, 실외의 광고장치, 표시 장치, 및 각 종 전동차 분야에도 적용 가능하며, 이외에도 현재 개발되어 상용화되었거나 향후 기술발전에 따라 구현 가능한 모든 조명관련 분야나 광고관련 분야 등에 적용 가능하다고 할 것이다.

도 1 내지 도 6을 참조하면, 조명장치는 복수의 광원을 갖고 제1면 광을 발광하는 조명모듈(110), 및 상기 조명모듈(110)의 일측에 배치되고 상기 제1면 광을 제2면 광으로 제공하는 광학 부재(150)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 조명장치는 광학 부재(150)의 상부에 차량용 렌즈 예컨대, 아웃터 렌즈(191)가 배치될 수 있다. 상기 아웃터 렌즈(191)는 적색 컬러 또는 백색 컬러로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 광학 부재(150)는 상기 조명모듈과 아웃터 렌즈(191) 사이에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 광학 부재(150)는 차량 램프에서 이너 렌즈일 수 있다.
상기 조명모듈(110)은 기판(111), 상기 기판(111) 상에 배치된 복수의 광원(121), 및 상기 기판(111) 상에서 상기 광원(121)들을 몰딩하는 투명한 재질의 레진층(131)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 상기 광원(121) 및 상기 레진층(131)의 하부에 위치한 방열 부재 또는 지지 부재로 기능할 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 인쇄회로기판(PCB: Printed Circuit Board)을 포함한다. 상기 기판(111)은 예를 들어, 수지 계열의 인쇄회로기판(PCB), 메탈 코아(Metal Core) PCB, 연성(Flexible) PCB, 세라믹 PCB, 또는 FR-4 기판 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 예컨대, 연성 PCB 또는 리지드(rigid) PCB를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)의 상면은 X축-Y축 평면을 가지며, 상기 기판(111)의 두께는 X 방향과 Y 방향에 직교하는 Z 방향의 높이일 수 있다. 여기서, X 방향은 제1방향이며, Y 방향은 X 방향과 직교하는 제2방향이며, 상기 Z 방향은 X 방향과 Y 방향에 직교하는 제3방향일 수 있다.
상기 기판(111)은 상부에 배선층(미도시)을 포함하며, 상기 배선층은 광원(121)에 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 상부에 배치된 반사부재 또는 보호층은 상기 배선층을 보호할 수 있다. 상기 복수의 광원(121)은 상기 기판(111)의 배선층에 의해 직렬, 병렬, 또는 직-병렬로 연결될 수 있다. 상기 복수의 광원(121)은 2개 이상을 갖는 그룹이 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결되거나, 상기 그룹들 간이 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결될 수 있다. 도 2와 같이, 상기 기판(111)의 제1 방향(X)의 길이(X1)와 제2 방향(Y)의 길이(Y1)는 서로 다를 수 있으며, 예컨대 길이 X1>Y1의 관계를 가질 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)의 두께는 0.5 mm 이하 예컨대, 0.3 mm 내지 0.5 mm의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)의 두께를 얇게 제공하므로, 조명모듈의 두께를 증가시키지 않을 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 두께가 0.5 mm 이하로 제공되므로, 플렉시블한 모듈을 지지할 수 있다.
상기 기판(111)은 일부에 커넥터(114)를 구비하여, 상기 광원(121)들에 전원을 공급할 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)에서 상기 커넥터(114)가 배치된 영역(113)은 레진층이 형성되지 않는 영역일 수 있다. 상기 영역(113)을 제외한 레진층(131)의 제1방향 길이(X2)는 제2방향 길이(Y1)보다 클 수 있다. 상기 커넥터(114)는 상기 기판(111)의 상면 일부 또는 하면 일부에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 커넥터(114)가 기판(111)의 하면에 배치된 경우, 상기 영역(113)은 제거될 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 탑뷰 형상이 다각형 형상이거나, 바 형상 또는 곡면 형상을 갖는 바(Bar) 형상일 수 있다. 상기 커넥터(114)는 상기 광원(121)에 연결된 단자이거나 암 커넥터 또는 수 커넥터일 수 있다. 상기 기판(111)은 상부에 보호 층 또는 반사 층을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 보호 층 또는 반사 층은 솔더 레지스트 재질을 갖는 부재를 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 솔더 레지스트 재질은 백색 재질로서, 입사되는 광을 반사시켜 줄 수 있다. 다른 예로서, 상기 기판(111)은 투명한 재질을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 투명한 재질의 기판(111)이 제공되므로, 상기 광원(121)으로부터 방출된 광이 상기 기판(111)의 상면 및 하면을 통해 이용될 수 있다.
상기 조명모듈(110)은 상기 레진층(131)과 상기 기판(111) 사이에 반사부재(15)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 반사부재(15)는 상기 기판(111)의 표면으로 진행하는 광을 상기 레진층(131)으로 반사시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 반사부재(15)는 금속 재질 또는 비 금속 재질일 수 있으며, 단층 또는 다층으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 반사부재(15)는 상기 기판(111)의 표면이 반사 재질인 경우, 제거될 수 있다.
상기 광원(121)은 상기 기판(111) 상에 배치되며, 상기 레진층(131)에 의해 밀봉될 수 있다. 상기 복수의 광원(121)은 상기 레진층(131)과 접촉될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)의 측면 및 상면 상에는 상기 레진층(131)이 배치될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 상기 광원(121)들을 보호하며 상기 반사부재(15) 또는 상기 기판(111)의 상면과 접촉될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)으로부터 방출된 광은 상기 레진층(131)을 통해 방출될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 상면과 다수의 측면을 가지며, 각 면을 통해 광을 방출하게 된다. 상기 광원(121)은 적어도 5면 발광하는 LED 칩으로서, 상기 기판(111) 상에 플립 칩 형태로 배치될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 0.5 mm 이하의 두께로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 다른 예로서, 수평형 칩 또는 수직형 칩으로 구현될 수 있다. 상기 수평형 칩 또는 수직형 칩의 경우, 와이어에 의해 다른 칩이나 배선 패턴과 연결될 수 있다. 상기 LED 칩에 와이어가 연결된 경우, 상기 와이어의 높이로 인해 레진층(131)의 두께가 증가될 수 있고, 와이어의 길이에 따른 연결 공간으로 인해 광원(121) 간의 거리가 증가될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)들 간의 간격(G1)은 상기 레진층(131)의 두께와 같거나 클 수 있다. 상기 간격(G1)은 예컨대 6 mm 이상일 수 있으며, 6 mm 내지 10 mm 범위일 수 있으며, 상기 제1공간부(R3)의 높이(T2)보다 작을 수 있으며, LED 칩 사이즈에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)의 지향각 분포가 넓을 경우, 광 확산 효과는 증가될 수 있고 암부 발생을 줄이고 광원 간의 간격을 증가시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 도 2와 같이, 상기 기판(111) 상에서 NΥM 행렬로 배치된 경우, N은 1열 또는 2열 이상이며, M은 1행 또는 2행 이상일 수 있다. 상기 N,M은 1 이상의 정수이다.
상기 광원(121)은 발광 다이오드(LED) 칩으로서, 청색, 적색, 녹색, 자외선(UV), 또는 적외선 중 적어도 하나를 발광할 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 예컨대 청색, 적색, 녹색 중 적어도 하나를 발광할 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 예컨대, 420 nm 내지 470 nm 범위의 청색 광을 발광할 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 상기 기판(111)과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다. 상기 광원(121)은 표면에 투명한 절연층, 또는 레진으로 밀봉될 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다. 상기 광원(121)은 표면에 형광체를 갖는 층이 형성될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)은 하부에 세라믹 지지 부재 또는 금속 플레이트를 갖는 지지 부재가 배치될 수 있으며, 상기 지지 부재는 전기 전도 및 열 전도 부재로 사용될 수 있다. 발명의 실시 예에 따른 조명모듈은 상기 레진층(131)은 단층 또는 다층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 불순물을 갖지 않는 층, 형광체가 첨가된 층, 및 확산제를 갖는 층, 형광체/확산체가 첨가된 층 중에서 적어도 두 층을 선택적으로 포함할 수 있다. 즉, 상기 형광체와 상기 확산제는 서로 별도의 레진층에 첨가되거나, 서로 혼합되어 하나의 레진층에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 불순물은 형광체, 확산제, 또는 잉크입자를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 형광체와 상기 확산제가 각각 구비한 층들은 서로 인접하게 배치되거나 서로 이격되어 배치될 수 있다.
상기 레진층(131)은 상기 기판(111) 상에 배치되며, 상기 광원(121)들을 밀봉하게 된다. 상기 레진층(131)은 상기 광원(121)의 두께보다 두꺼운 두께일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 투명한 수지 재질 예컨대, UV(Ultra violet) 레진(Resin), 실리콘 또는 에폭시와 같은 수지 재질일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 연성의 레진을 갖는 확산층 또는 몰딩층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 상기 기판(111)의 전 영역에서 일정한 두께로 제공될 수 있어, 상기 레진층(131)의 상면은 수평한 평면, 볼록한 곡면, 오목한 곡면으로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)의 두께는 상기 기판(111)의 두께보다 두꺼울 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)의 두께는 상기 기판(111)의 두께보다 5배 이상 예컨대, 5배 내지 9배 범위로 두꺼울 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)의 두께는 2 mm 이하 예컨대, 1.5 mm 내지 2 mm의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 상기의 두께 범위보다 낮은 경우, 핫 스팟의 억제 효과가 미미하며, 상기 범위보다 두꺼운 경우, 조명모듈(110)의 두께(T4)가 증가되거나 광도가 저하될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)과 상기 기판(111)은 연성 플레이트로 가능할 수 있다. 상기 조명모듈(110)의 두께(T4)는 상기 기판(111)의 하면에서 상기 레진층(131)의 상면까지의 직선 거리이며, 3 mm 이하 예컨대, 1 mm 내지 2 mm 범위일 수 있다. 이러한 조명모듈(110)의 두께(T4)가 3 mm 이하로 배치되므로, 연성의 모듈로 제공할 수 있으며, 굴곡이 많거나 평탄하지 않은 차량 내에서 밀착되게 설치될 수 있다.
상기 레진층(131)은 상기 광원(121)들로부터 방출된 광을 가이드하여 광학부재(150)를 향해 점광이 아닌 제1면 광으로 출사하게 된다. 상기 레진층(131)에는 불순물이 첨가되지 않는 투명한 재질의 층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)은 불순물이 없으므로 광이 직진 성을 갖고 투과될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(131)의 표면은 광 확산을 위해 요철 패턴을 구비할 수 있다.
제1공간부(R3)는 상기 조명모듈(110)과 광학 부재(150) 사이에 배치되며, 에어 갭(Air gap)일 수 있다. 상기 제1공간부(R3)는 상기 레진층(131)으로부터 방출된 제1면 광(Surface light)을 전달할 수 있다. 상기 제1공간부(R3)의 높이(T2)는 상기 조명모듈(110)의 두께(T4)보다 클 수 있으며, 예컨대 상기 조명모듈(110)의 3배 이상 또는 5배 내지 10배의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1공간부(R3)의 높이(T2)는 10 mm 이상 예컨대, 10 mm 내지 15 mm 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1공간부(R3)가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 제1면 광의 확산 효과가 저하될 수 있고, 상기 범위보다 큰 경우, 조명장치의 두께가 증가하는 문제가 있다.
상기 광학 부재(150)는 제1공간부(R3) 상에 배치되며, 형광체를 갖는 층을 구비하며, 적어도 3층 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 광학 부재(150)는 형광체층(151), 접착층(161), 투광층(171), 및 표면 처리층(181)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 광학 부재(150)는 일측에 형광체층(151) 및 타측에 표면 처리층(181)을 갖는 투광층(171)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(151)은 상기 조명모듈(110)의 레진층(131)과 대면할 수 있으며, 상기 레진층(131)의 전체 상면 영역을 커버할 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(151)은 다층으로 적층될 수 있다. 예컨대, 상기 형광체층(151)은 상기 접착층(161)에 접착된 제1형광체층(P1), 상기 제1형광체층(P1)의 하면에 형성된 제1차광층(P2), 및 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 하면에 형성된 제2차광층(P3)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1형광체층(P1)은 불순물 예컨대, 형광체를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1차광층(P2)은 불순물 예컨대, 형광체를 포함하며, 상기 제1형광체층(P1)의 하면에 인쇄 공정으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)은 불순물 예컨대, 형광체를 포함하며, 상기 제1차광층(P2)의 하면이 인쇄 공정으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)에 첨가된 형광체는 상기 제1형광체층(P1)에 첨가된 형광체와 동일할 수 있으며, 적색 형광체를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1형광체층(P1)에 첨가된 불순물은 적색 형광체일 수 있다. 상기 제1차광층(P2)에 첨가된 불순물은 황색 형광체 또는/및 확산제를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)에 첨가된 불순물은 황색 형광체 또는/및 확산제일 수 있다. 이에 따라 제1형광체층(P1)에 첨가된 불순물과 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3) 중 적어도 하나에 첨가된 불순물이 서로 다를 수 있다.
상기 제1형광체층(P1), 상기 제1차광층(P2) 및 상기 제2차광층(P3) 중 적어도 하나 또는 각각의 형광체의 함량은 20 wt% 이하 예컨대, 8 wt% 내지 20 wt% 범위로 제공될 수 있으며, 이러한 형광체 함량에 의해 표면이 형광체의 컬러 예컨대, 적색 형광체의 컬러 이미지로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)의 영역은 상기 광원(121)들 각각과 수직 방향으로 중첩될 수 있다. 이에 따라 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)은 상기 제1공간부(R3)를 통해 입사된 제1면 광 중에서 광도가 높은 광을 차단할 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(151)은 차광 기능과 함께 파장을 변환하는 기능을 수행할 수 있고, 핫 스팟을 방지하며, 전 영역에서 광원(111)들의 광을 균일한 광도 분포로 파장 변환하게 된다.
도 6과 같이, 상기 형광체층(151)의 두께(T5)는 500 ㎛ 이하 예컨대, 75 ㎛ 내지 225 ㎛ 범위이거나, 75 ㎛ 내지 500 ㎛ 범위일 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(151) 내에서 제1형광체층(P1)의 두께(T6)는 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)의 두께보다 클 수 있다. 상기 제1형광체층(P1)의 두께(T6)는 상기 형광체층(151)의 두께의 40% 이상 예컨대, 40% 내지 60% 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1형광체층(P1)의 두께가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 전 영역에서 파장 변환이 균일하지 않고, 파장 변환 효율이 저하될 수 있다.
상기 제1차광층(P2)의 두께는 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 두께보다 두꺼울 수 있다. 상기 제1차광층(P2)의 두께는 40 ㎛ 이하 예컨대, 15 ㎛ 내지 40 ㎛ 범위 또는 15 ㎛ 내지 30 ㎛ 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1차광층(P2)의 두께가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 광 차단 효과가 미미하며, 다른 층과의 접착력이 저하될 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 두께는 15 ㎛ 이하 예컨대, 8 ㎛ 내지 15 ㎛ 범위 또는 8 ㎛ 내지 10 ㎛ 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 두께가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 광 차단 효과가 미미하며, 다른 층과의 접착력이 저하될 수 있다. 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)은 파장 변환 기능보다 차광 기능이 더 높을 수 있다. 다른 예로서, 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 두께는 상기 제1차광층(P2)의 두께보다 두꺼울 수 있다. 이 경우, 제2차광층(P3) 내에서 차광 기능을 높이고, 제2차광층(P3)은 제1차광층(P2)과 제1형광체층(P1)을 접착시켜 주는 기능을 수행할 수 있다.
상기 제1차광층(P2)들의 상면 면적 합은 상기 제1형광체층(P1)의 하면 면적보다 작을 수 있으며, 예컨대 80% 이하이거나, 50% 내지 80%의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)들의 상면 면적 합은 상기 제1차광층(P2)들의 상면 면적 합보다 작을 수 있으며, 80% 이하 예컨대, 50% 내지 80%의 범위일 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 제2차광층(P3)들 각각의 하면 면적은 상기 광원들 각각의 상면 면적보다 클 수 있으며, 120% 이상이거나 120% 내지 300%의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)들 각각의 하면 면적이 상기 면적보다 작은 경우, 차광 기능이 저하될 수 있다.
도 3 및 도 4와 같이, 상기 제1차광층(P2)은 바텀 뷰 형상이 원 형상, 타원 형상 또는 다각형 형상일 수 있다. 상기 제2차광층(P3)은 바텀 뷰 형상이 원 형상, 타원 형상 또는 다각형 형상일 수 있다. 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)은 서로 동일한 형상이거나, 서로 다른 형상일 수 있다. 상기 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)이 서로 다른 형상인 경우, 제1차광층(P2)은 원 형상이고 제2차광층(P3)은 다각 형상일 수 있다. 이에 따라 광원(121)의 상면과 대면하는 제2차광층(P3)의 다각 형상에 의해 광원의 다각형 상면을 통해 방출된 광을 효과적으로 차광할 수 있다.
상기 광원(121)들 각각의 중심을 기준으로 제1,2차광층(P2,P3)의 크기를 보면, 광원의 중심에서 상기 중심에 수직하는 중심 축으로부터 상기 제2차광층(P3)의 외측 에지까지의 각도(Q1)는 25도 이하 예컨대, 17.5도 내지 25도의 범위 또는 17.5도 내지 22.5도 범위일 수 있다. 상기 각도(Q1)가 상기 범위보다 큰 경우, 인접한 광원(121)들 사이의 영역까지 차광하여, 암 영역이 발생될 수 있고, 상기 범위보다 작은 경우 차광 효과가 저하될 수 있다. 상기 광원(121)의 중심에서 상기 중심에 수직하는 중심 축으로부터 상기 제1차광층(P2)의 외측 에지까지의 각도(Q2)는 30도 이상 예컨대, 30도 내지 40도의 범위 또는 32.5도 내지 40도 범위일 수 있다. 상기 각도(Q2)가 상기 범위보다 큰 경우, 인접한 광원(121)들 사이의 영역까지 차광하여, 암 영역이 발생될 수 있고, 상기 범위보다 작은 경우 차광 효과가 저하될 수 있다.
상기 투광층(171)은 상기 형광체층(151) 상에 배치된다. 상기 접착층(161)은 상기 투광층(171)과 상기 형광체층(151) 사이를 접착시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 접착층(161)은 투명한 실리콘 또는 에폭시 재질일 수 있다. 상기 투광층(171)은 투명한 플레이트로서, PET 또는 PI 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 투광층(171)은 상기 형광체층과 상기 표면 처리층을 지지하는 역할을 할 수 있다. 상기 투광층(171) 내에는 확산제가 첨가될 수 있다. 도 6과 같이, 상기 투광층(171)은 표면 처리층(181)을 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 표면 처리층(181)은 상기 투광층(171)과 일체로 형성될 수 있으며, 표면(181A) 전체에 일정한 간격을 갖는 요철 패턴 또는 불규칙한 간격을 갖는 요철 패턴을 포함할 수 있다. 이러한 요철 패턴은 입사되는 광을 굴절시켜 줄 수 있어, 광 확산 효과를 개선시켜 줄 수 있다.
상기 표면 처리층(181)은 상기 투광층(171)의 표면(171A)에 일체로 형성되거나, 별도로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 표면 처리층(181)의 상면(181A)은 상기 투광층(171)의 러프한 표면(171A)에 불규칙한 요철 패턴으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 표면 처리층(181)은 상기 투광층(171)의 표면(171A)에 대해 에칭 처리 또는 부식 처리를 통해 형성할 수 있다. 상기 투광층(171)은 상기 형광체층(151)에 의해 파장 변환된 광을 제2면 광을 아웃터 렌즈(191)로 제공할 수 있다. 상기 제2면 광의 광도 분포는 상기 제1면 광의 광도 분포보다 더 균일하게 제공될 수 있다. 또한 상기 투광층(171)의 하부에 상기 형광체층(151)이 밀착됨으로써, 광원 오프시, 상기 투광층(171)의 상부를 통해 형광체의 컬러 색감이 제공될 수 있다.
상기 제2공간부(R2)는 상기 광학 부재(150)과 아웃터 렌즈(191) 사이에 배치되며, 에어 갭(Air gap)일 수 있다. 상기 제2공간부(R2)는 상기 광학 부재(150)으로부터 방출된 제2면 광(Surface light)을 전달할 수 있다. 상기 제2공간부(R2)의 높이(T3)는 상기 조명모듈(110)의 두께(T4)보다 클 수 있으며, 예컨대 상기 조명모듈(110)의 3배 이상 또는 5배 내지 10배의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2공간부(R2)의 높이(T3)는 10 mm 이상 예컨대, 10 mm 내지 15 mm 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2공간부(R2)는 상기 제1공간부(R3)의 높이의 80% 이상 예컨대, 80% 내지 120%의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제2공간부(R2)가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 제2면 광의 확산 효과가 저하될 수 있고, 상기 범위보다 큰 경우, 조명장치의 두께가 증가하는 문제가 있다.
따라서, 조명장치(110)에 의하면, 아웃터 렌즈(191) 또는 광학 부재(150)를 통과하는 제2 면광은 광원(121)에 의한 핫 스팟이 제거될 수 있고, 미점등 이미지를 개선시켜 줄 수 있다. 또한 상기 형광체층(151)와 상기 레진층(131) 사이를 제1공간부(R3)로 서로 분리시켜 줌으로써, 기존에 레진층에 인접한 형광체에서의 파장 변환 효율의 저하 문제를 개선시켜 줄 수 있다. 또한 상기 형광체층(151)을 이용하여 차광층(P2,P3)을 형성해 줌으로써, 상기 레진층(131) 상에서 광원(121)과 대향되는 영역에서의 차광과 더블어, 파장 변환을 수행할 수 있다.
도 7은 도 1의 조명장치의 다른 예이다. 도 7을 설명함에 있어서, 상기의 구성과 동일한 구성은 상기의 설명을 전용하기로 한다. 도 7을 참조하면, 조명장치는 상기에 개시된 조명모듈(110), 제1공간부(R3), 및 광학부재(150)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 광학부재(150)는 상기 레진층(131)과 대면하는 투광층(172), 상기 투광층(172) 상에 접착층(162), 상기 접착층(162) 상에 형광체층(152)을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 투광층(172)은 하면(182A) 전체에 표면 처리층(182)을 구비하며, 상기 표면 처리층(182)은 러프한 요철 패턴들이 불규칙한 크기 및 형태로 배치될 수 있다. 상기 표면 처리층(182)은 상기 레진층(131)의 제1면 광을 산란 또는 굴절시켜 주어, 투광층(172) 내부로 균일한 분포의 광을 전달하게 된다. 상기 접착층(162)은 상기 투광층(172)과 상기 형광체층(152) 사이에 접착될 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(152)은 단층 또는 다층일 수 있으며, 도 1의 차광층을 구비하지 않을 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(152)이 다층인 경우, 하부 형광체층 상에 잉크 입자와 같은 불순물을 갖는 상부 층이 더 배치될 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자는 금속잉크, UV 잉크, 또는 경화잉크 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자의 크기는 상기 형광체의 사이즈보다 작을 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자의 표면 컬러는 녹색, 적색, 황색, 청색 중 어느 하나일 수 있다. 상기 잉크 종류는 PVC(Poly vinyl chloride) 잉크, PC (Polycarbonate) 잉크, ABS(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer) 잉크, UV 레진 잉크, 에폭시 잉크, 실리콘 잉크, PP(polypropylene) 잉크, 수성잉크, 플라스틱 잉크, PMMA (poly methyl methacrylate) 잉크, PS (Polystyrene) 잉크 중에서 선택적으로 적용될 수 있다.

도 8 내지 도 13을 참조하면, 조명장치(100)는 레진층(31), 상기 레진층(31)의 적어도 일면에 배치된 기판(11), 상기 기판(11)에 배치되며 상기 레진층(31)에 밀봉된 하나 또는 복수의 광원(21), 상기 레진층(31)의 하부에 돌기 패턴(45)을 갖는 투광층(41), 상기 투광층(41) 하부에 반사 시트(51), 및 상기 레진층(31) 상부에 광학 시트(61,63)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 조명장치(100)는 레진층(31)의 일측을 통해 입사된 광을 면 광으로 분산시켜 제공하며, 하부의 투광층(41) 및 반사 시트(51)에 의해 반사된 광이 레진층(31)으로 재 입사되며, 광학 시트(61,63)을 통해 균일한 분포의 면 광으로 제공할 수 있다. 상기 조명장치(100)는 상기 광학 시트(61,63) 상부에 차량용 렌즈 예컨대, 아웃터 렌즈가 배치될 수 있다. 상기 아웃터 렌즈는 적색 컬러 또는 백색 컬러로 제공될 수 있다.
상기 기판(11)은 상기 광원(21) 및 상기 레진층(31)의 일측에 위치한 방열 부재 또는 지지 부재로 기능할 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)은 상기에 개시된 재질 중에서 선택될 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)의 전면은 상기 레진층(31)의 일측 면과 밀착될 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)의 높이는 상기 레진층(31)의 두께와 동일하거나 더 클 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)은 일측에 배선층(미도시)을 포함하며, 상기 배선층은 광원(21)에 전기적으로 연결될 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)은 일측에 배치된 반사부재 또는/및 보호층은 상기 배선층을 보호할 수 있다. 상기 보호 층는 솔더 레지스트 재질을 갖는 부재를 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 솔더 레지스트 재질은 백색 재질로서, 입사되는 광을 반사시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 반사부재는 반사 시트일 수 있다. 다른 예로서, 상기 기판(11)은 투명한 재질을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 투명한 재질의 기판(11)이 제공되므로, 상기 광원(21)으로부터 방출된 광이 상기 기판(11)의 상면 및 하면을 통해 이용될 수 있다.
복수의 광원(21)은 상기 기판(11)의 배선층에 의해 직렬, 병렬, 또는 직-병렬로 연결될 수 있다. 상기 복수의 광원(21)은 2개 이상을 갖는 그룹이 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결되거나, 상기 그룹들 간이 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결될 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)의 두께는 0.5 mm 이하 예컨대, 0.3 mm 내지 0.5 mm의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)의 두께를 얇게 제공하므로, 조명모듈의 두께를 증가시키지 않을 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)은 두께가 0.5 mm 이하로 제공되므로, 플렉시블한 모듈을 지지할 수 있다. 상기 기판(11)은 외 형상이 다각형 형상이거나, 바 형상 또는 곡면 형상을 갖는 바(Bar) 형상일 수 있다. 상기 광원(21)은 상기 기판(11) 상에 배치되며, 상기 레진층(31)에 의해 밀봉될 수 있다. 상기 복수의 광원(21)은 상기 레진층(31)의 일 측면을 따라 배치될 수 있고, 상기 레진층(31) 내에 매립될 수 있다. 상기 광원(21)의 측면들 및 전면 상에는 상기 레진층(31)이 배치될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 상기 광원(21)들을 보호하며 상기 기판(11)의 일면 또는/및 반사부재의 일면과 접촉될 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 광원(21)들은 레진층(21)의 적어도 일 측면에 배치된 예로 설명하였으나, 양 측면 또는 서로 다른 측면에 배치될 수 있다.
상기 광원(21)으로부터 방출된 광은 상기 레진층(31)을 통해 가이드될 수 있다. 상기 광원(21)은 전면과 다수의 측면을 가지며, 전면을 통해 광을 방출하게 된다. 상기 광원(21)은 전면으로 광을 방출하는 LED 칩으로 구현되거나, LED 칩을 갖는 패키지로 구현될 수 있으며, 상기 전면이 광 출사면일 수 있다. 상기 광원(21)은 상기 기판(11)과 전기적으로 연결될 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다. 상기 광원(21)은 표면에 투명한 절연층, 또는 레진으로 밀봉될 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다. 상기 광원(21)은 표면에 형광체를 갖는 층이 형성될 수 있다. 상기 광원(21)은 하부에 세라믹 지지 부재 또는 금속 플레이트를 갖는 지지 부재가 배치될 수 있으며, 상기 지지 부재는 전기 전도 및 열 전도 부재로 사용될 수 있다.
발명의 실시 예에 따른 조명모듈은 상기 레진층(31)은 단층 또는 다층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 불순물을 갖지 않는 층, 형광체가 첨가된 층, 및 확산제를 갖는 층, 형광체/확산체가 첨가된 층 중에서 적어도 두 층을 선택적으로 포함할 수 있다. 즉, 상기 형광체와 상기 확산제는 서로 별도의 레진층에 첨가되거나, 서로 혼합되어 하나의 레진층에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 불순물은 형광체, 확산제, 또는 잉크입자를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 형광체와 상기 확산제가 각각 구비한 층들은 서로 인접하게 배치되거나 서로 이격되어 배치될 수 있다.
상기 레진층(31)은 상기 기판(11)의 일측에 배치되며, 상기 광원(21)들을 밀봉하게 된다. 상기 레진층(31)은 상기 광원(21)의 두께보다 두꺼운 두께일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 투명한 수지 재질 예컨대, UV(Ultra violet) 레진(Resin), 실리콘 또는 에폭시와 같은 수지 재질일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 연성의 레진을 갖는 확산층 또는 몰딩층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 상기 기판(11)의 전 영역에서 일정한 두께로 제공될 수 있어, 상기 레진층(31)의 상면은 수평한 평면, 볼록한 곡면, 오목한 곡면으로 제공될 수 있다.
상기 기판(11), 상기 광원(21) 및 레진층(31)은 조명모듈로 정의될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)의 두께는 상기 기판(11)의 두께보다 두꺼울 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)의 두께는 상기 기판(11)의 두께보다 5배 이상 예컨대, 5배 내지 9배 범위로 두꺼울 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)의 두께는 3 mm 이하 예컨대, 1.5 mm 내지 2 mm의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 상기의 두께 범위보다 낮은 경우, 핫 스팟의 억제 효과가 미미하며, 상기 범위보다 두꺼운 경우, 조명모듈의 두께가 증가되거나 광도가 저하될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)과 상기 기판(11)은 연성 플레이트로 가능할 수 있다. 상기 조명모듈의 두께는 상기 레진층(31)의 하면에서 상기 레진층(31)의 상면까지의 직선 거리이며, 3 mm 이하 예컨대, 1 mm 내지 3 mm 범위일 수 있다. 이러한 조명모듈의 두께가 3 mm 이하로 배치되므로, 연성의 모듈로 제공할 수 있으며, 굴곡이 많거나 평탄하지 않은 차량 내에서 밀착되게 설치될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 상기 광원(21)들로부터 방출된 광을 가이드하여 광학부재(150)를 향해 점광이 아닌 제1면 광으로 출사하게 된다. 상기 레진층(31)에는 불순물이 첨가되지 않는 투명한 재질의 층일 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)은 불순물이 없으므로 광이 직진 성을 갖고 투과될 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)의 표면은 광 확산을 위해 요철 패턴을 구비할 수 있다.
공간부(R1)는 상기 레진층(31)의 하면과 투광층(41) 사이에 배치될 수 있으며, 에어 갭(Air gap)일 수 있다. 상기 공간부(R1)는 상기 레진층(31)의 하면으로부터 방출된 광 및 투광층(41)에 의해 반사된 광을 가이드할 수 있다. 상기 공간부(R1)의 높이는 5 mm 이상 예컨대, 5 mm 내지 10 mm 범위일 수 있다. 상기 공간부(R1)가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 광의 확산 효과가 저하될 수 있고, 상기 범위보다 큰 경우, 조명장치의 두께가 증가하는 문제가 있다.
상기 투광층(41)은 투명한 플레이트로서, PET 또는 PI 필름을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 투광층(41)은 내부에 확산제가 첨가될 수 있다. 상기 투광층(41)은 상면에 복수의 돌기 패턴(45)을 포함하며, 상기 돌기 패턴(45)은 상기 투광층(41)의 표면에 돌출된 도트 형상일 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴(45)는 돌출부로서, 상기 투광층(41)과 일체로 형성되거나 같은 재질일 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 형상은 피라미드 형상이거나, 하부가 넓고 상부가 좁은 뿔 형상일 수 있다. 상기 뿔 형상은 다각뿔, 원 뿔이거나, 뿔대 형상을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 밀도는 상기 광원(21)의 위치를 기준으로, 상기 광원(21)에 가까운 상기 투광층(41)의 일면에서 반대측 타면까지 일정한 구간으로 분할한 다음, 상기 투광층(41)의 일면에 가까운 구간일수록 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 밀도가 낮고, 상기 투광층(41)의 타면에 가까운 구간일수록 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 밀도가 점차 높아질 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 바닥 변의 길이가 최소 크기가 18 ㎛ 이상이며, 최대 크기가 27 ㎛ 이하일 수 있으며, 전 영역에서 18 ㎛ 내지 27 ㎛의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 바닥 변의 길이가 상기 범위보다 작은 경우, 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 형성이 어렵고 상기 범위보다 큰 경우 광의 산란 효과가 미미할 수 있다. 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 사이즈는 광원(21)에 인접할수록 작고, 상기 광원(21)에서 멀어질수록 더 클 수 있다. 또는 상기 돌기 패턴(45)의 사이즈는 광원(21)에 가까운 영역 또는 구간일수록 더 작고, 광원(21)에 먼 구간 또는 영역일수록 더 클 수 있다. 상기 사이즈는 돌기 패턴(45)의 바닥 변의 길이 또는/및 높이일 수 있다.
도 14와 같이, 돌기 패턴은 투광층(41) 중에서 광원(21) 즉, LED에 인접한 제1영역(A1), 중간의 제2영역(A2), 및 외측의 제3영역(A3)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1영역(A1)의 제1돌기 패턴(45A)들은 상기 제2영역(A2)의 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 밀도보다 더 낮을 수 있으며, 상기 제3영역(A3)의 제3돌기 패턴(45C)의 밀도는 제2영역(A2)의 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 밀도보다 높을 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 투광층(41)의 상면에 대해 3개의 영역(A1,A2,A3)으로 구분할 때, 광원(21)에 가까운 영역(A1)의 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 밀도는 가장 낮고, 가장 먼 영역(A3)의 제3돌기 패턴(45C)의 밀도는 가장 높을 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)들 각각의 사이즈 또는 체적은 제2돌기 패턴(45B)들 각각 사이즈 또는 체적보다 클 수 있고, 상기 제2돌기 패턴(45B)들 각각의 사이즈 또는 체적은 상기 제3돌기 패턴(45C)들 각각의 사이즈 또는 체적보다 클 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 바닥의 한 변의 길이는 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 바닥의 한 변의 길이보다 클 수 있고, 상기 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 바닥의 한 변의 길이는 상기 제3돌기 패턴(45C)의 바닥의 한 변의 길이보다 클 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 높이는 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 높이보다 클 수 있고, 상기 제2돌기 패턴(45B)의 높이는 상기 제3돌기 패턴(45C)의 높이보다 클 수 있다.
상기 각 영역(A1,A2,A3)의 각 돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)는 바닥 형상이 다각형 형상이고, 중심으로 갈수록 더 높은 높이를 갖는 피라미드 형상 또는 뿔 형상일 수 있다. 상기 각 돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)의 주변에는 오목한 리세스(C1,C2,C3)을 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 리세스(C1,C2,C3)는 각 돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)의 외측에 투광층(41)의 표면보다 더 깊게 형성될 수 있다. 상기 리세스(C1,C2,C3)는 상기 각 돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)의 주변에 배치되므로, 각 돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)의 외측의 노출 면적을 증가시켜 줄 수 있어, 광의 산란 또는 확산 효율이 개선될 수 있다.
도 15 및 도 16과 같이, 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 높이(H1)는 7 ㎛ 이상 예컨대, 7 ㎛ 내지 10 ㎛의 범위일 수 있으며, 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 바닥 한 변의 길이(D1,D2)보다 작을 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 높이(H1)는 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 바닥 한 변의 길이(D1,D2)의 1/2 이하일 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 바닥에서 서로 인접한 두 변의 길이는 서로 동일하거나 다를 수 있으며, 예컨대 각 변의 길이(D1,D2)는 27 ㎛ 이하 예컨대, 24 ㎛ 내지 27 ㎛의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 상부 중심(P11)은 곡면이거나 플랫한 형상일 수 있다.
도 17은 도 16의 제1돌기 패턴의 A-A측 단면도의 형상을 프로파일(Profile)로 나타낸 그래프로서, 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)는 중심을 기준으로 서로 대칭 형상이며, 외측 둘레에 오목한 리세스(C1)가 배치된다. 상기 리세스(C1)의 깊이는 0.5 ㎛ 이상 예컨대, 0.5 ㎛ 내지 2 ㎛의 범위일 수 있다. 상기 제1돌기 패턴(45A)의 각 측면의 상단에서 중심으로 연속한 면과 하단에서 중심으로 연속한 면 사이에 오목한 오목부가 배치될 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다. 이러한 오목부는 광은 난 반사시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 리세스(C1,C2,C3)는 제1,2,3돌기 패턴(45A,45B,45C)의 측면에 각각 배치되며, 상기 측면 중심에 인접할수록 더 깊은 길이를 가질 수 있다.

상기 반사 시트(51)는 상기 투광층(41)의 하부에 배치되며, 상기 투광층(41)을 거쳐 입사된 광을 상기 레진층(31)을 향해 반사시켜 준다. 상기 반사 시트(51)는 수지 재질, 투명 PET, 백색 PET(white polyethylene terephthalate), Ag 시트 중 어느 하나의 재료로 구성되는 필름으로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 반사 시트(51)의 내부 또는 표면에는 반사 도트가 배치되어, 입사된 광을 반사시켜 줄 수 있다. 상기 반사 도트는 잉크를 포함할 수 있으며, 예컨대 TiO2, CaCO3, BaSO4, Al2O3, Silicon, PS 중 어느 하나를 포함하는 재질로 인쇄할 수 있다. 여기서, 상기 반시 시트(51)의 하면에서 상기 레진층(31)의 상면까지의 거리(T1)는 10 mm 이상 예컨대, 10 mm 내지 15 mm 범위일 수 있다. 상기 거리(T1)이 상기 범위보다 큰 경우 조명장치(100)의 두께가 증가하게 되고, 상기 범위보다 작은 경우 레진층(31)의 하부에서의 광 확산 효과가 저하될 수 있다. 상기 공간부(R1) 및 상기 투광층(41)의 외측 둘레에는 반사 벽(91)이 배치되어, 외부로 광이 손실되는 문제를 차단할 수 있다. 상기 반사 벽(91)은 상기 레진층(31)의 하면 둘레에서 상기 반사 시트(51)의 상면 둘레까지 연장되어, 내부 구성(R1,41)을 밀봉하게 된다. 상기 반사 벽(91)는 수지 재질 내에 금속 산화물이 첨가된 백색 반사 수지 또는 접착 재질일 수 있으며, 이에 대해 한정하지는 않는다.
상기 레진층(31)은 상기 광원(21)에 의해 입사된 광, 상기 투광층(41) 및 반사 시트(51)에 의해 반사되거나 굴절된 광에 의해 출사 측으로 면 광으로 제공할 수 있다. 상기 광학 시트(61,63)는 레진층(31)의 전 영역 상에 배치될 수 있다. 상기 광학 시트(61,63)는 적어도 한 장의 프리즘 시트를 포함하며, 예컨대 제1프리즘 시트(61) 및 제2프리즘 시트(63)를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 광학 시트(61,63)은 프리즘 시트와 DBEF(Double brightness enhance film)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1프리즘 시트(61)는 상기 레진층(31)의 상면에 배치된 수직 프리즘 시트이며, 상기 제2프리즘 시트(63)는 상기 제1프리즘 시트(61) 상에 배치된 수평 프리즘 시트일 수 있다. 상기 광학 시트(61,63)는 입사된 광에 대해 출광면 이외의 방향으로 진행하는 것을 막고 광의 지향성을 향상시키고 시약각을 좁혀 정면(출광면) 방향으로의 휘도를 증대시켜 줄 수 있다.
이러한 조명장치(100)는 2개 이하의 광원(21)을 이용할 경우, 선형 면 광으로 제공할 수 있고, 3개 이상의 광원(21)을 이용할 경우 소정 면적을 갖는 면 광으로 제공할 수 있다. 상기 조명장치(100)에서 조명모듈(11,21,31)은 도 14와 같이, 복수로 배치되어, 각 모듈이 각각 라인 또는 면 광으로 조명될 수 있다. 또한 레진층(31)의 출사 측으로 제공되는 면 광을 투광층(41)의 돌기 패턴(45)에 의해 확산 또는 산란시키고 반사 시트(51)에 의해 레진층(31)을 향해 반사시켜 줌으로써, 보다 균일한 분포의 면 광을 제공할 수 있다.
도 9의 조명장치(100)는 레진층(31)의 하면에 반사 패턴(65)을 더 포함할 수 있다. 상기 반사 패턴(65)은 상기 레진층(31)의 하면에 일체로 형성될 수 있으며, 음각 또는 양각으로 형성될 수 있다. 상기 반사 패턴(65)의 밀도는 광원(21)에 인접할수록 낮고, 광원(21)에서 멀어질수록 더 높을 수 있다. 상기 반사 패턴(65)의 사이즈는 광원(21)에 인접할수록 작고, 상기 광원(21)에서 멀어질수록 더 클 수 있다. 또는 상기 반사 패턴(65)의 사이즈는 광원(21)에 가까운 영역 또는 구간일수록 더 작고, 광원(21)에 먼 구간 또는 영역일수록 더 클 수 있다. 상기 사이즈는 반사 패턴(65)의 바닥 변의 길이 또는/및 높이일 수 있다.
도 10 및 도 11을 참조하면, 조명장치(100)는 레진층(31)의 출사측 상면에 형광체층(81)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(81)은 내부에 적색, 황색, 녹색, 청색 형광체 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 형광체층(81)은 내부에 형광체와 잉크 입자를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자는 금속잉크, UV 잉크, 또는 경화잉크 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자의 크기는 상기 형광체의 사이즈보다 작을 수 있다. 상기 잉크입자의 표면 컬러는 녹색, 적색, 황색, 청색 중 어느 하나일 수 있다. 상기 잉크 종류는 PVC(Poly vinyl chloride) 잉크, PC (Polycarbonate) 잉크, ABS(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer) 잉크, UV 레진 잉크, 에폭시 잉크, 실리콘 잉크, PP(polypropylene) 잉크, 수성잉크, 플라스틱 잉크, PMMA (poly methyl methacrylate) 잉크, PS (Polystyrene) 잉크 중에서 선택적으로 적용될 수 있다.
도 10과 같이, 상기 광학 시트(63A)는 상기 형광체층(81)과 상기 레진층(31) 사이에 배치될 수 있으며, 수직 프리즘 시트 또는/및 수평 프리즘 시트를 포함하거나, DBEF(Double brightness enhance film)을 포함할 수 있다. 도 4와 같이, 상기 형광체층(81)은 상기 광학 시트(63A)와 상기 레진층(31) 사이에 배치될 수 있으며, 상기 레진층(31)의 상면에 접착될 수 있다. 도 12와 같이, 상기 레진층(31)의 상면에 확산부(31A)를 더 구비할 수 있다. 상기 확산부(31A)는 입사되는 광을 확산시켜 주기 위해, 확산제가 분산된 층 예컨대, PMMA(Poly Methyl Meth Acrylate) 계열, TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3, 실리콘 계열 중에서 적어도 하나가 전 영역에 분산된 층일 수 있다. 상기 확산부(31A)는 상기 광원(21)과 중첩되는 영역까지 연장될 수 있어, 핫 스팟을 방지할 수 있다. 상기 레진층(31)의 하면에 반사 패턴은 광 손실을 위해 제거될 수 있다. 도 13과 같이, 레진층(31)의 일측 하면에 광원(21A)이 매립되고, 일측 하면으로 기판(11A)가 배치될 수 있다. 상기 광원(21A)는 사이드 뷰 패키지로 구현될 수 있으며, 일 방향으로 광을 방출할 수 있다. 레진층(31)의 일측 면에는 차광 벽(93)이 배치되며, 상기 차광 벽(93)은 광원(21)에 인접한 레진층(31)의 일측 면에서 광이 누설되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
도 18의 (A)는 비교 예의 패턴에 의한 광도이며, (B)(C)는 발명의 패턴이 양각 또는 음각인 경우의 광도 및 강도 분포 곡선을 나타낸 도면이다. 도 18의 (A)와 같이, 레진층(31)의 하부에 원형상의 반사 패턴이고 상부에 광학 시트가 배치된 경우, 광도는 일 방향으로 집중되고, 강도 분포 곡선이 비 대칭 형상이며, (B)와 같이, 레진층 하부에 다각 형상의 양각의 반사 패턴을 형성한 경우, 광학 시트 적층 없이 출사각이 90도로 확보될 수 있고, 입광부가 5도의 각도 및 상기 입광부에 대향되는 대광부가 45도의 각도로 제공될 수 있다. (C)와 같이, 레진층 하부에 다각 형상의 음각의 반사 패턴을 형성한 경우, 광학 시트 적층 없이 출사각이 90도로 확보될 수 있고, 입광부 및 대광부가 모두 50도 내지 60도의 각도로 제공될 수 있다.
도 19는 발명의 실시 예에 따른 조명장치가 적용된 차량 램프가 적용된 차량의 평면도이며, 도 20은 도 19의 차량에서 후미등을 나타낸 도면이다.
도 19 및 도 20을 참조하면, 이동체 또는 차량(900)에서 전방 램프(850)는 하나 이상의 조명모듈을 포함할 수 있으며, 이들 조명모듈의 구동 시점을 개별적으로 제어하여 통상적인 전조등로서의 기능뿐만 아니라, 운전자가 차량 도어를 오픈한 경우 웰컴등 또는 셀레브레이션(Celebration) 효과 등과 같은 부가적인 기능까지 제공할 수 있다. 상기 램프는 주간주행등, 상향등, 하향등, 안개등 또는 방향 지시등에 적용될 수 있다. 차량(900)에서 후미등(800)은 하우징(801)에 의해 지지되는 다수의 램프 유닛(810,812,814,816)일 배치될 수 있다. 예컨대, 상기 램프 유닛(810,812,814,816)들은 외측에 배치된 제1램프 유닛(810), 상기 제1램프 유닛(810)의 내측 둘레에 배치된 제2램프 유닛(814), 상기 제2램프 유닛(814)의 내측에 각각 배치된 제3 및 제4램프 유닛(814,816)을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 제1 내지 제4램프 유닛(810,812,814,816)은 실시 예에 개시된 조명장치를 선택적으로 적용할 수 있으며, 상기 조명장치의 외측에 상기 램프 유닛(810,812,814,816)의 조명 특성을 위해 적색 렌즈 커버 또는 백색 렌즈 커버가 배치될 수 있다. 이러한 상기 램프 유닛(810,812,814,816)에 적용된 실시 예에 개시된 조명장치는 면광을 균일한 분포로 발광할 수 있다. 상기 제1 및 제2램프 유닛(810,812)들은 곡면 형상, 직선 형상, 각진 형상, 경사 형상, 또는 평면형상 중 적어도 하나 또는 이들의 혼합된 구조로 제공될 수 있다. 상기 제1 및 제2램프 유닛(810,812)들은 각 후미등에 하나 또는 복수로 배치될 수 있다. 상기 제1램프 유닛(810)은 미등으로 제공될 수 있고, 상기 제2램프 유닛(812)는 제동등으로 제공될 수 있으며, 상기 제3램프 유닛(814)은 후진등으로 제공될 수 있으며, 상기 제4램프 유닛(816)은 턴 시그널 램프로 제공될 수 있다.
이상에서 실시예들에 설명된 특징, 구조, 효과 등은 본 발명의 적어도 하나의 실시예에 포함되며, 반드시 하나의 실시예에만 한정되는 것은 아니다. 나아가, 각 실시예에서 예시된 특징, 구조, 효과 등은 실시예들이 속하는 분야의 통상의 지식을 가지는 자에 의해 다른 실시예들에 대해서도 조합 또는 변형되어 실시 가능하다. 따라서 이러한 조합과 변형에 관계된 내용들은 본 발명의 범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다. 이상에서 실시예를 중심으로 설명하였으나 이는 단지 예시일 뿐 본 발명을 한정하는 것이 아니며, 본 발명이 속하는 분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자라면 본 실시예의 본질적인 특성을 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 이상에 예시되지 않은 여러 가지의 변형과 응용이 가능함을 알 수 있을 것이다. 예를 들어, 실시예에 구체적으로 나타난 각 구성 요소는 변형하여 실시할 수 있는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 변형과 응용에 관계된 차이점들은 첨부된 청구 범위에서 규정하는 본 발명의 범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.

Claims (15)

  1. 기판, 상기 기판 상에 복수의 광원, 및 상기 복수의 광원을 몰딩하는 레진층을 포함하며, 제1면 광을 발광하는 조명모듈;
    상기 조명모듈로부터 입사된 제1면 광을 제2면 광으로 제공하며, 일측에 형광체층, 타측에 표면 처리층을 갖는 투광층, 상기 투광층과 상기 형광체층을 접착시키는 접착층을 갖는 광학 부재; 및
    상기 조명모듈과 상기 광학 부재 사이를 에어 갭으로 이격시키는 제1공간부를 포함하는, 조명장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 형광체층은 상기 제1면 광이 입사되는 입사측에 배치되며,
    상기 형광체층은 상기 투광층의 하면 전체에 배치된 제1형광체층, 상기 제1형광체층의 하면에 배치된 복수의 제1차광층 및 상기 제1차광층의 하면에 배치된 복수의 제2차광층을 포함하며,
    상기 복수의 제1,2차광층은 상기 광원들 각각과 수직 방향으로 중첩되며,
    상기 제2차광층들 각각의 하면 면적은 상기 제1차광층들 각각의 하면 면적보다 작은, 조명장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1형광체층, 상기 제1,2차광층은 동일한 적색 형광체를 갖는 조명장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 제1형광체층에 첨가된 불순물과 상기 제1, 2차광층 중 적어도 하나에 첨가된 불순물은 서로 다른 조명장치.
  5. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 광원들 각각의 중심에서 상기 중심에 수직한 중심 축으로부터 상기 제2차광층의 외측 에지까지의 각도는 17.5도 내지 25도의 범위이며,
    상기 광원들 각각의 중심에서 상기 중심 축으로부터 상기 제1차광층의 외측 에지까지의 각도는 30도 내지 40도의 범위인, 조명장치.
  6. 제2항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 제1형광체층은 상기 제1,2차광층의 두께보다 크며,
    상기 제1차광층은 상기 제2차광층의 두께보다 큰, 조명장치.
  7. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 조명모듈의 두께는 상기 제1공간부의 높이보다 작은, 조명장치.
  8. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 투광층은 상기 제2면 광의 출사측에 배치되며,
    상기 투광층은 내부에 확산제를 포함하며,
    상기 표면 처리층은 표면에 요철 패턴을 가지며,
    상기 표면 처리층은 상기 투광층과 같은 재질인 조명장치.
  9. 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광학 부재 상에 아웃터 렌즈, 및 상기 광학 부재와 상기 아웃터 렌즈 사이에 제2공간부를 포함하는, 조명장치.
  10. 레진층;
    상기 레진층의 일측에 광원;
    상기 광원이 배치된 기판;
    상기 레진층의 하면으로부터 이격되며 돌기 패턴들을 갖는 투광층; 및
    상기 투광층의 하부에 반사 시트를 포함하며,
    상기 돌기 패턴들은 상기 투광층의 적어도 3영역에 각각 배치되며, 상기 광원에 인접한 제1영역에 배치된 제1돌기 패턴, 중앙의 제2영역에 배치된 제2돌기 패턴, 및 상기 광원에 가장 먼 제3영역에 배치된 제3돌기 패턴을 포함하며,
    상기 제3돌기 패턴은 상기 제1돌기 패턴의 밀도보다 높고 상기 제1돌기 패턴의 사이즈보다 작은 사이즈를 갖는, 조명장치.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 레진층 상부에 형광체층 및 프리즘 시트 중 적어도 하나를 포함하며,
    상기 광원은 상기 레진층의 일측 면 또는 하면 일측에 복수로 배치되는, 조명장치.
  12. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제1돌기 패턴은 상기 제2돌기 패턴의 높이보다 높은 높이를 갖고, 상기 제3돌기 패턴은 상기 제2돌기 패턴의 높이보다 낮은 높이를 갖는, 조명장치.
  13. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 돌기 패턴들 각각은 뿔 형상이며,
    상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 바닥의 한 변의 길이는 서로 다르며,
    상기 제1돌기 패턴의 바닥의 한 변의 길이가 제2,3돌기 패턴의 바닥 한 변의 길이보다 큰, 조명장치.
  14. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서, 상기 투광층은 상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 둘레에 오목한 리세스를 포함하며,
    상기 리세스는 상기 제1,2,3돌기 패턴의 측면 중심에 인접할수록 더 깊은 길이를 갖는, 조명장치.
  15. 제10항 또는 제11항에 있어서,
    상기 레진층과 상기 투광층 사이에 공간부를 포함하는, 조명장치.
