A guard member P3 is provided below the power unit P to protect the engine P1. Guard member P3 is formed to cover the lower portion of engine P1. The guard member P3 is fixed to the body frame F via a hanger member P4 suspended from a fixing member F5 provided below the body frame F. As shown in FIG. A shift pedal 17 for shifting gears is attached to the left side of the power unit P in the vehicle width direction.
A pair of steps 18 are provided on both the left and right sides of the power unit P. The sole of the driver's foot is placed on the upper portion of the step 18 . The rear of the power unit P rotatably supports the tips of a pair of left and right swing arms 24 via a pivot 20 . The pair of left and right swing arms 24 are connected and integrated by a connecting member (not shown) provided slightly rearward from the tip. A center stand 19 and a side stand 21 for allowing the vehicle 1 to stand on its own are rotatably supported below the pivot 20 .
A rear wheel WR is rotatably supported at the rear ends of the pair of left and right swing arms 24 . The rear wheel WR is, for example, a wire spoke wheel having a rim and a hub connected by a plurality of wire wires. The rear wheels WR may be disc wheels or spoke wheels. Tires of the same size or different size from the front wheels WF are attached to the rear wheels WR. A brake device B2 for braking is provided on the right side of the rear wheel WR. Brake device B2 is, for example, a disc brake.
The brake device B1 may be a drum brake. With the above configuration, the rear wheel WR rotates around the pivot 20 at the tip of the swing arm 24 . The rear ends of the pair of left and right swing arms 24 rotatably support the lower ends of the pair of telescopic left and right damper devices D2. An upper end portion of the damper device D2 is rotatably supported behind the body frame F. As shown in FIG. With the above configuration, the rear wheel WR moves up and down with respect to the vehicle body frame F while being restricted by the damper device D2. The damper device D2 buffers and attenuates vibrations transmitted from the rear wheels WR to the vehicle 1 .
The rear wheel WR is driven by a drive chain 23 provided on the left side of the power unit P. The drive chain 23 transmits the rotational driving force generated in the power unit P to the sprocket C provided on the left side of the rear wheel WR. The sprocket C is a disk-shaped gear concentric with the rear wheel WR. A chain cover 25 covers the upper side of the drive chain 23 . The chain cover 25 is fixed to the left swing arm 24 . A pair of left and right rear steps 22 are fixed to the pair of left and right swing arms 24 . A metal rear fender 27 is fixed to the rear end of the swing arm 24 to cover the upper part of the rear wheel WR.
A seat 34 on which the driver sits is provided in the central portion of the vehicle body frame F. Between the lower portion of the seat 34 and the steering stem S, the straddle portion F1 is covered with the vehicle body cover 2. As shown in FIG. The seat 34 is supported by seat rails F<b>2 arranged behind the seat 34 and inside the rear fender 27 . The seat rail F2 is formed to extend into the rear fender 27 behind the seat 34 .
A fuel tank 44 that stores fuel is provided below the seat 34 . An air cleaner box 35 for introducing intake air into the engine P1 is provided on the left side of the fuel tank 44 in the vehicle width direction. An air filter (not shown) is provided inside the air cleaner box 35 to trap foreign matter contained in the intake air.
The air cleaner box 35 is provided with a base end portion of an intake duct 33 for introducing intake air. The air intake duct 33 is formed in a cylindrical shape that opens upward through the vehicle width direction outer side of the damper device D2 provided on the left side. A cover member 32 is provided at the tip of the intake duct 33 to prevent foreign matter from entering. The cover member 32 is connected to a rear carrier 30 (carrier) for receiving goods. Since the opening of the air intake duct 33 is formed at the height of the rear carrier 30, the air cleaner box 35 is formed to prevent water from entering in an environment where the water level is lower than that of the rear carrier 30.
The rear carrier 30 is fixed behind the seat 34 and above the rear fender 27 . The rear carrier 30 is fixed to the seat rail F2, for example. The rear fender 27 is provided on the body frame F. A storage box 50 is attached to at least one of the left and right sides of the rear carrier 30 as will be described later. A detailed configuration of the storage box 50 will be described later. A tail lamp 29 and a pair of left and right rear flasher lamps 28 are fixed to the rear lower part of the rear carrier 30 and to the upper rear part of the rear fender 27 .
A muffler M (see FIG. 4) for discharging the exhaust gas from the engine P1 is provided on the right side of the vehicle body frame F in the vehicle width direction. The exhaust port of the muffler M is provided at a position near the lower surface of the rear carrier 30, for example. For this reason, the muffler M is formed so that water is less likely to enter in an environment where the water level is lower than that of the rear carrier 30 . A heat shield plate M1 is provided on the right side surface of the muffler M. As shown in FIG.
Next, the storage box 50 according to the present invention will be explained.
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 5, the storage box 50 is fixed to the rear carrier 30 of the vehicle 1, for example. The rear carrier 30 is fixed to a seat rail F2 provided on the body frame F (see FIG. 1). The rear carrier 30 is formed wider than the seat rail F2 in the vehicle width direction, for example. Depending on the shape of the body frame F, the seat rail may not be provided. Therefore, the rear carrier 30 does not necessarily have to be fixed to the seat rails. The rear carrier 30 may be fixed directly or indirectly to the body frame F.
A housing box 50 is fixed to the rear carrier 30 via a fixing member U. The storage box 50 is attached to the fixing member U so as to be positioned on the side of the vehicle body frame F. As shown in FIG. In the vehicle body frame F of this embodiment, the seat rails F2 are narrow in the vehicle width direction, and it is difficult to fix the fixing member U for fixing the storage box 50. Therefore, the storage box is fixed to the rear carrier 30. It is configured. As described above, since the rear carrier 30 is wider than the seat rail F2 in the vehicle width direction, it is possible to easily secure a space below the rear carrier 30 for mounting the fixing member U. .
The storage box 50 is attached to either the left or right side of the vehicle 1 or both sides. Since the housing box 50 is fixed to the fixing member U mounted below the rear carrier 30 , it can be mounted at a lower position than the rear carrier 30 . As a result, the center of gravity of the vehicle 1 is lowered, and running stability can be improved.
A state in which the storage box 50 is fixed to the left side of the vehicle 1 is exemplified below. When the housing box 50 is fixed to the right side of the vehicle 1, it is mounted symmetrically with respect to the left side and the left-right direction.
The fixing member U is attached to the lower surface side of the rear carrier 30, for example. The fixing member U is fixed so as to hang down from the lower surface side of the rear carrier 30 . The fixing member U is arranged, for example, at a position offset inward from the outer end 31 of the rear carrier 30 in the vehicle width direction (horizontal direction). The fixing member U is fixed, for example, in a U-shaped direction when the vehicle 1 is viewed from the side. The fixing member U is attached, for example, to either the left or right side or both sides of the lower surface of the rear carrier 30 .
The fixing member U includes, for example, a pair of first mounting members U4 fixed to the lower surface side of the rear carrier 30, a second mounting member U0 mounted on the first mounting member U4, and a second mounting member U0 mounted on and housed in the second mounting member U0. and a third mounting member U7 for fixing the box 50 . Since each member of the fixing member U is individually formed, it is possible to design the strength of the member according to each portion.
A pair of first mounting members U4 are mounted so as to hang down from the lower surface side of the rear carrier 30. In the example of FIG. 5, the first mounting member U4 arranged on the front side along the front-rear direction is shown. The pair of first mounting members U4 are formed in symmetrical shapes when viewed along the left-right direction. The first mounting member U4 is formed of a plate-like member such as a metal plate. The plate thickness of the first mounting member U4 is formed thicker than the plate thickness of the third mounting member U7. The first mounting member U4 is formed, for example, in an inverted L shape when viewed along the front-rear direction. The first mounting member U4 is formed, for example, by being bent into an inverted L shape along the left-right direction.
The illustrated first mounting member U4 is arranged on the front side in the front-rear direction. The first attachment member U4 on the rear side in the front-rear direction is formed symmetrically with respect to the front-rear direction. The positional relationship of the pair of first mounting members U4 is not limited to this, and they may be arranged in a reversed direction. The first mounting member U4 includes a plate-shaped horizontal portion U5 along the horizontal direction and a vertical portion U6 that is bent downward from the horizontal portion U5 as viewed in the left-right direction.
The horizontal portion U5 is formed in a rectangular plate shape. The base end of the horizontal portion U5 is fixed to the connecting portion U3 by welding or the like. A through hole U4H is formed at the tip of the horizontal portion U5. A bolt is inserted from below into the through hole U4H and fixed to the lower surface side of the rear carrier 30 . The bolt fixed to the first mounting member U4 is attached using, for example, a special tool. Since this bolt requires a special tool to be removed, it is possible to prevent the housing box 50 and the fixing member U from being integrally removed. When a general bolt is used for the first mounting member U4, the first mounting member U4 is located at a position where it is difficult for a tool to reach the bolt when the housing box 50 is fixed and the bolt is removed. can be placed in That is, the bolts of the first mounting member U4 may be arranged at positions where it is difficult to remove them unless the housing box 50 is removed.
If there is a distance between the storage box 50 and the through hole U4H for the tool to enter, a baffle plate or a cylindrical body is provided around the through hole U4H on the lower surface of the horizontal portion U5 to make it difficult for the tool to enter. good too. The first mounting member U4 may be welded to the rear carrier 30 or riveted to make it difficult to remove with common tools.
The vertical portion U6 is formed into an inverted L-shaped plate when viewed along the front-rear direction. A side of the vertical portion U6 that is continuous with the base end of the horizontal portion U5 is fixed to the connecting portion U3 by welding or the like. The vertical portion U6 supports the storage box 50 against the moment applied to the base end of the horizontal portion U5 when the storage box 50 is fixed. Tip ends of a pair of straight portions U1 of the second mounting member U0 are welded to the vertical portion U6. The vertical portion U6 fixes the second mounting member U0 at a position offset inward from the outer end 31 of the rear carrier 30 in the vehicle width direction. A second mounting member U0 is provided so as to extend downward from the inner end of the vertical portion U6 in the vehicle width direction.
The second mounting member U0 is, for example, formed into a U shape by bending a metal pipe with a circular cross section. The fixing member U may be formed using another material. The second mounting member U0 is formed with a pair of straight portions U1 and a connecting portion U2 that connects the base ends of the pair of straight portions. The connecting portion U2 is formed so as to curve downward. The tip portions (upper portions) of the pair of straight portions U1 are connected by a connecting portion U3.
The connecting portion U3 is formed in a plate shape. The connecting portion U3 is made of, for example, a metal plate and welded to the upper portions of the pair of straight portions U1. The connection portion U3 is provided on the side of the fixing member U opposite to the side on which the storage box 50 is attached. A pair of through holes U3H for fixing fasteners Q, which will be described later, are formed in the connecting portion U3. A nut U3N for fastening a bolt for fixing the buckle is welded to the through hole U3H. Other fastening members such as screws may be used as bolts.
A pair of third mounting members U7 for fixing the storage box 50 are provided in the middle of the pair of straight portions U1. A pair of third mounting members U7 are formed with a first support portion U7X and a second support portion U7Y at positions corresponding to grip portions 51B of a storage box 50, which will be described later. Of the pair of third mounting members U7, the first support portion U7X is provided on one side surface 50X of the storage box 50, and the second support portion U7Y is provided on the other side surface 50Y of the storage box 50. As shown in FIG. The one side surface 50X is the left side surface when the top portion 52A of the lid portion 52, which will be described later, is viewed from the front. The other side surface 50Y is the right side surface opposite to the one side surface 50X when the top portion 52A of the lid portion 52, which will be described later, is viewed from the front. In the mounting example of the storage box 50 of FIG. 4, the first support portion U7X is arranged on the front side of the body frame F when viewed in the longitudinal direction, and the second support portion U7Y is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the body frame F. It is arranged on the rear side when viewed in the direction along.
The third mounting member U7 is made of a plate-like member such as a metal plate. The plate thickness of the third mounting member U7 is formed thinner than the plate thickness of the first mounting member U4. The third mounting member U7 is formed extending in a direction along the axial direction of the straight portion U1. The third mounting member U7 is formed in a shape that fits into a grip portion 51B of a storage box 50, which will be described later. The third mounting member U7 has a flat plate portion U7A and bent portions U7B that are bent from the flat plate portion U7A and welded to the straight portion U1 above and below the flat plate portion U7A.
In the pair of third mounting members U7, the pair of flat plate portions are fixed so as to widen from the proximal end to the distal end in the direction from the outer side to the inner side in the vehicle width direction when viewed in the vertical direction. . A pair of bolt holes U7H are formed in the third mounting member U7 along the vertical direction. A nut U7N to which a bolt B for fixing the storage box 50 is fastened is welded to the bolt hole U7H.
As shown in the figure, the first support portion U7X and the second support portion U7Y are provided at positions where access from the outside of the vehicle 1 is good when the grip portion 51B of the storage box 50 is fixed with the bolt B. Therefore, the user can easily attach and detach the storage box 50 . However, since the housing box 50 cannot be removed from the fixing member U unless the fastener Q is removed even if the bolt B is removed as will be described later, it is prevented from being taken out by anyone other than the user.
As shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, the storage box 50 includes a storage portion 51 for storing articles, a lid portion 52 that can be opened and closed with respect to the storage portion 51, and a fastener Q that closes the lid portion 52. and a helmet holder H. In the following, regarding the storage box 50, a state in which the seam between the lid portion 52 and the storage portion is substantially along the vertical direction will be described. The housing portion 51 is attached to the fixing member U side, for example. The housing portion 51 is a housing in which a housing space for housing articles is formed.
The housing portion 51 is formed in a box shape having a bottom portion 51A (mounting surface) formed on one surface side and an opening on the other surface side. The bottom portion 51A is formed in a rectangular plate shape. The housing portion 51 is made of resin, for example. Side walls 51S are formed to extend around the bottom portion 51A. A packing 51P is attached to the end of the side wall 51S so as to extend in an annular shape. The packing 51P is integrally formed of an elastic member such as rubber, for example. The bottom portion 51A side is fixed to a fixing member U. As shown in FIG.
As a result, the housing portion 51 is fixed to the fixing member U so that the opening appears along the substantially up-down direction and substantially the front-rear direction of the vehicle 1 . The opening of the accommodating portion is formed in a substantially rectangular shape, and the length of the side of the cover portion substantially along the opening/closing axis direction is substantially the same or less than the length of the side substantially perpendicular to the opening/closing axis direction. there is Thereby, the sealing performance on the upper surface side of the lid portion 52 can be improved.
The lid portion 52 and the housing portion 51 are connected via a rotatable hinge portion J formed of a hinge or the like. The hinge portion J may be a flexible resin hinge. According to the resin hinge, the lid portion 52 and the housing portion 51 can be integrally formed.
The accommodating portion 51 is provided with a flat inner wall 51W on the hinge portion J side. The inner wall 51W is formed so as to protrude from the dividing surface with the lid portion 52 toward the lid portion 52 side. When the storage box 50 is attached to the side surface of the vehicle 1, the inner wall 51W serves as the bottom surface inside the storage section 51 and supports the articles stored therein. Since the inner wall 51W protrudes toward the lid portion 52, when the lid portion 52 is opened, the articles are less likely to fall toward the lid portion 52 or collapse.
On the side of the bottom portion 51A of the housing portion 51, a pair of gripping portions 51B are formed that protrude inward in the vehicle width direction and are arranged facing each other along the front-rear direction. The pair of gripping portions 51B are formed so as to protrude from the bottom portion 51A side toward the fixed member U side on the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The pair of gripping portions 51B are formed in a shape to fit with a pair of third mounting members U7 formed on the fixing member U. As shown in FIG. The pair of gripping portions 51B are attached so as to widen from the proximal end toward the distal end in the direction from the outer side to the inner side in the vehicle width direction when viewed in the vertical direction. As a result, when the housing box 50 is attached, it can be fitted to the pair of the first support portion U7X and the second support portion U7Y for easy positioning.
The pair of grips 51B are provided above the center of the bottom 51A in the vertical direction (vertical direction). As a result, when the storage box 50 is fixed to the fixing member U, the storage box 50 is fixed to the pair of grips 51B at a position higher than the center of gravity, thereby improving stability. In particular, when an article is stored inside the storage box 50 below the capacity limit, the article is surface-supported toward the inner wall 51W and stabilized.
A pair of through-holes 51C are formed in the grip portion 51B along the substantially vertical direction. A bolt is inserted through the through-hole 51C and is screwed into a nut U7N provided on the third mounting member U7 to be fixed. The user can fix the grip portion 51B and the first support portion U7X with a bolt B from the one side surface 50X side of the storage box 50 . The user can fix the grip portion 51B and the second support portion U7Y with bolts B from the other side surface 50Y side of the storage box 50 .
A hook portion 51D that protrudes toward the fixing member U is formed on the lower portion of the bottom portion 51A side. The hook portion is formed to fit with the connecting portion U2 of the second mounting member U0. The hook portion 51D is formed with, for example, an arch-shaped depression 51E when viewed in the front-rear direction so as to be hooked on the connecting portion U2 from above. Since the recess 51E is fitted above the connecting portion U2, the storage box 50 is restrained from vibrating in the vehicle width direction. The formation of the hook portion 51D facilitates the vertical positioning of the storage box 50 when attached, and facilitates the positioning of the grip portion 51B and the third attachment member U7.
The hook portion 51D is hooked on the connecting portion U2 from above before the grip portion 51B is fixed. In this state, the accommodation box 50 (accommodation portion 51) is positioned in the vertical direction. Therefore, the positions of the through hole 51C of the grip portion 51B and the nut U7N of the third mounting member U7 are matched, and the fixing of the housing portion 51 with the bolt is easily performed.
The lid portion 52 is attached to the housing portion 51 so as to be freely opened and closed. The lid portion 52 is made of resin, for example. The lid portion 52 is formed in a box shape having, for example, a rectangular plate-shaped top portion 52A and side walls 52S formed to extend around the top portion 52A. The lid portion 52 is attached to the housing portion 51 so as to cover the opening of the housing portion 51 in the vehicle width direction of the vehicle 1 so as to be openable and closable.
For example, the lid portion 52 has a rotating shaft such as a hinge portion J in the lower portion of the housing portion 51 . The lid portion 52 is opened downward so that the opening appears upward with respect to the housing portion 51 . An end portion of the side wall 52S is provided with an edge portion 52B formed so as to extend so as to cover the periphery of the joint portion with the accommodating portion 51. As shown in FIG. As a result, water is prevented from entering the mating portion with the accommodation portion 51 .
A top portion 52A of the lid portion 52 is formed with a dome portion 52D projecting outward in the vehicle width direction. The dome portion 52D is formed in a circularly protruding dome shape. By forming the dome portion 52D, the capacity of the storage box 50 is increased and the rigidity of the lid portion 52 is improved. A protruding portion 52F protruding in the vertical direction is formed on the surface of the dome portion 52D. Since the projecting portion 52F is formed, when the lid portion 52 comes into contact with an object other than the vehicle 1 or falls over, the projecting portion 52F comes into contact with another object or the ground, and the lid portion 52 Prevents damage to the whole.
The lid portion 52 is formed with a recessed portion 52C capable of accommodating the fastener Q and the helmet holder H in the closed state. As a result, the appearance of the storage box 50 in which the fastener Q and the helmet holder H are integrated can be realized. With the above configuration, the fastener and the helmet holder are provided within the width of the lid portion 52 and the housing portion 51 when the lid portion 52 is closed when viewed in the opening/closing axis direction of the lid portion 52 .
As a result, when the vehicle 1 is parked, the helmet holder H and the fastener Q are prevented from coming into contact with adjacent objects. The lid portion 52 is formed with an inclined surface 52K in which the side wall 52S is inclined toward the edge portion 52B. As a result, the sidewall 52S, which is the upper surface when the lid portion 52 is attached, forms an inclined surface that is inclined downward toward the outside in the vehicle width direction. As a result, the water falling on the upper surface of the lid portion 52 can easily flow downward.
As described above, since the inclined surfaces 52K are formed on all of the side walls 52S, the lid portion 52 is on the upper surface even when the housing box 50 is fixed such that the opening/closing axis is opened left and right and the storage box 50 is fixed so as to open upward. It is formed so that water is less likely to accumulate on the surface. With the above configuration, the lid portion 52 is formed so that even when the storage box 50 is fixed as a top box, the inclined surface of the side wall 52S prevents water from accumulating.
As shown in Figures 9 and 10, the fastener Q is a part that is fixed to the vehicle 1 side and that can fix the lid in a closed state. The fastener Q is formed of a plate-like body such as a metal plate. The fastener Q includes, for example, a first member Q1 formed by bending to match the shape of the upper surface of the housing portion 51, and a second member Q2 formed by bending to match the shape of the upper surface of the lid portion 52. Prepare.
The first member Q1 includes a first plate-like portion Q1A formed in a rectangular plate shape along a substantially horizontal direction, and a rectangular plate-like portion extending downward from the base end of the first plate-like portion Q1A on the vehicle 1 side. and a second plate-shaped portion Q1B formed in the . A pair of through holes Q1H are formed in the second plate-like portion Q1B along the front-rear direction so as to correspond to the positions of the nuts U3N of the connecting portion U3 of the fixing member U. As shown in FIG. A bolt is inserted through the pair of through holes Q1H and screwed into a nut U3N (see FIG. 4) to fix the fastener Q to the vehicle 1 side. A hinge portion QH is provided at the tip of the first plate-like portion Q1A, and supports the second member Q2 so as to be rotatable. Other fastening members such as screws may be used as bolts.
