Abstract

The hat comprises a flexible cover portion (7) and a flexible peripheral portion (8) and a resilient strip (26) mounted in the peripheral edge of the peripheral portion and constrained thereby. The strip (26) alternatively can assume a deployed configuration, in which the hat can be worn, and a stowed configuration, in which the hat is compressed. The hat can be reversed between a first stable configuration, in which it can be worn with a first material (2) on the inside and a second material (3) on the outside, and a second configuration. The hat comprises a fastener (14) secured to the cover portion and adapted to fasten the cover portion at the neck both in the first configuration and in the second configuration.

Description

DESCRIPTION Title: Hat

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[01] The present invention relates to hats.

TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

[02] In the field of hats, many achievements have been known for a very long time.

[03] The present invention relates in particular to the field of reversible hats. When worn, a hat has a first inner face in contact with the head of the wearer, and a second opposite outer face facing the sky. A reversible hat is a hat which can be worn alternatively either in a first configuration with the first inner face and the second outer face, or in a second configuration with the first outer face and the second inner face.

[04] Although it is theoretically possible to turn many hats upside down, these cannot be considered reversible because, upside down, the outer face includes seams, labels or other elements visible that are not suitable for functionally, socially and/or aesthetically acceptable wear.

[05] The reversible hat offers at least two wearing configurations, allowing the same hat to be used in different circumstances.

[06] An example of a reversible hat may for example be known from FR 1 021 569. Indeed, as shown in Figure 2 of this document, in a first configuration, a fabric forming a scarf extends downwards at the back of the styling portion. If the hat is turned over, and the styling portion is deformed, as shown in Figure 1 of this document, the fabric that formed the scarf is found on the outer face of the hat.

[07] In addition, this hat can be transformed into a bag.

[08] In the field of reversible hats, mention may also be made of JP 3213106U. This document describes that the hat can comprise a light fabric and an opposing dark fabric. When the light fabric faces outward, the sun's rays are reflected, and heat absorption is reduced. When the dark cloth is facing outward, the solar rays are absorbed, which would reduce the influence of ultraviolet rays on the head.

[09] The hat further comprises two rear side bands which can be tied under the neck of the wearer in one of the configurations. [10] However, depending for example on the weather conditions (wind, rain, sun, etc.), it is not always appropriate to wear such a hat.

[11] The invention aims to democratize the reversible hat, by proposing a hat that can be worn in very varied climatic conditions.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[12] Thus, the invention relates to a hat comprising a styling portion comprising a textile portion made of a first and a second superposed material assembled together, said first material being impermeable, said second material providing protection against ultra-high radiation. violets, the textile portion of the styling portion being produced by several pieces comprising said first and second assembled materials, said pieces being assembled together by sewing, said textile portion of the styling portion comprising a cap portion and a circumferential portion having an edge peripheral, said cap portion being flexible, said peripheral portion being flexible and extending at the front, on the sides, and at the rear of the cap portion, a part extending at the front of the peripheral portion being longer, from the capping portion, than the parts extending on the sides, the capping portion further comprising re at least one elastic whale mounted in the peripheral edge of the perimeter portion, and constrained by the latter, the whale being able to alternately assume a deployed configuration in which the hat can be worn, and a storage configuration in which the hat is compacted, said hat being reversible between a first stable configuration in which it can be worn with the first material inside and the second material outside and, a second stable configuration in which it can be worn with the first material inside the outside and the second material inside, the hat further comprising a clip adapted to be secured to the cap portion and adapted to attach the cap portion to the neck both in the first configuration and in the second configuration.

[13] Thanks to these provisions, the hat can be worn in rainy weather. Indeed, it is enough to place it in a configuration in which the waterproof material is on the outside.

[14] The hat can also be worn at all times and offers some protection against ultraviolet radiation.

[15] The geometry of the perimeter portion offers a visor effect which provides protection against glare. [16] The rib extending at the peripheral edge of the perimeter portion weights the hat, which provides retention of the hat on the head in windy conditions, whatever the configuration.

[17] In addition, the whale is deformable, which makes it possible to compact the hat for storage.

[18] The clip can be used to attach the hat to the wearer in all configurations, which also allows the hat to be held in place in all weather conditions, particularly windy ones.

[19] Depending on various aspects, it is possible to provide one and/or the other of the characteristics below, taken alone or in combination.

[20] According to one embodiment, said cap portion is made from a central piece and two side pieces assembled thereto.

[21] According to one embodiment, the clip is made of one of the first and second materials.

[22] According to one embodiment, the fastener is sewn to the styling portion

[23] According to one embodiment, the styling portion comprises two through openings through which the fastener is threaded.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[41] The invention relates to a hat 1.

[42] Figure 1 shows a cap 1 according to a first embodiment in a first configuration.

[43] Hat 1 is described below worn by a wearer. The description refers to a standing wearer who wears the hat on his head in the usual way.

The vertical can be defined by a Z axis, and the X direction as the projection on a horizontal plane of the gaze direction. The Y direction completes the orthonormal triad. The "front" is therefore designated as the side of the hat that overhangs the face, and "back" the opposite side of the hat, which overhangs the nape of the neck. The "side sides" of the hat extend between G "front" and G "back".

[44] The cap 1 is made from a first material 2 and a second material 3 which are different. The hat 1 is made from a set of parts 4 which are assembled together, in particular by sewing. In the example presented, several parts 4 are each made by assembling a first material 2 and a second material 3 which are superimposed on one another and assembled together. Thus, each of these parts 4 comprises a face made of the first material, and a face made of the second material. The parts 4 are assembled together so as to form a hat comprising a first face and a second face. The parts 4 are assembled together so that the faces in first material of all the parts 4 form a first face of the cap 1, and the faces in second material of all the parts 4 form a second face of the cap 1. Thus, in the configuration of FIG. 1, a first face 5 of the cap is made of the first material 2, and a second face 6 of the hat, opposite the first face, is made of the second material 3. In the configuration of Figure 1, the first face 5 of the hat forms an outer face, facing the sun, and the second face 6 of the hat forms an inner face , facing the wearer's head.

[45] The cap 1 comprises a cap portion 7 and a peripheral portion 8. The cap portion 7 has a bell shape adapted to the upper part of the head of the wearer, and has a peripheral edge 9. The portion of periphery 8 is annular, extending between a radially inner edge 10 and a radially outer edge 11. The radially inner edge 10 of the periphery portion is joined to the peripheral edge 9 of the cap portion. This assembly is final (not removable).

[46] In the embodiment presented, the peripheral portion 8 extends over the entire periphery of the hat.

[47] The length L of the perimeter portion, measured from the radially inner edge 10 to the radially outer edge 11 normally to the radially inner edge 10 can be variable along the perimeter portion. In particular, the length of the front portion is greater than the length of the lateral sides. This arrangement allows a visor effect, and to protect the gaze from glare by the sun's rays.

[48] The cap 1 comprises at least one whale 25. The whale 25 is integrated into the hat, and is not visible in FIG. 1. The first material or the second material can define a channel in which extends the whale 25. The channel is for example produced by a seam. Alternatively, the channel is defined between the first and second materials. The rib 25 is elastic, so that it can be deformed, and tends to return to its state of rest. The rib 25 is constrained in the channel, so that it takes on a particular shape dictated by the cap, and applies a stress on the first and/or the second material, which tends the cap in a certain configuration.

[49] If necessary, the whale 25 can take several stable configurations. The rib 25 can be elastically deformed by a user from one stable configuration to another stable configuration. This makes it possible in particular to modify the field of vision of the wearer of the hat. This also makes it possible to modify the shape of the perimeter portion 8 according to the direction of the wind, for example.

[50] In the example shown, the whale 25 extends at the level of the radially outer edge 11 of the peripheral portion 8. It extends, for example, over all or almost all of the peripheral portion 8. Thus, it tends to stretch the cap in a manner having a substantially circular peripheral edge. From due to the shape and arrangement of the different parts of the hat, the peripheral edge can see its shape dictated by the whale 25 while allowing certain parts of the hat not to be stretched, for example the cap portion 7 is loose. In this position, the rib 25 weights the hat, which makes it possible to increase the resistance to the wind. Thus, as visible in Figure 1, the whale takes the form of an arc of a circle surrounding the wearer's head, extending both in front of the face, on the lateral sides and at the back of the wearer's head.

[51] The cap portion 7 is made from a central piece 12 and two side pieces 13 assembled thereto (only one side piece visible in Figure 1). For example, the two side pieces 13 are symmetrical to each other with respect to the X-Z plane.

[52] Cap 1 also includes a clip 14. In the example shown, clip 14 is made of the second material. However, it could be otherwise. The clip 14 is secured to the cap portion 7. However, as the cap portion 7 is secured to the peripheral portion 8, the clamp 14 could alternatively be secured to the peripheral portion 8. In particular, the securing can be made in a rear zone of the cap portion 7 and/or of the peripheral portion 8. The connection can be made by sewing.

[53] Clip 14 can be used to attach the hat to the wearer. For example, the two lateral strands 15 are tied together under the wearer's neck, as shown in FIG. sliding knot.

[54] Clip 14 can be supplied in different variants. It can be thin to be fixed, for example tied, or wide to offer an additional function of neck protection. For example, it includes a uniform width along its length. Alternatively, it may have a variable width along its length. For example, it can be narrower in the middle, allowing the use of 15 wide side strands to protect the shoulders and/or the face. In addition, it can be made of different materials, such as a coarse mesh fabric that makes it easier to breathe through it. As a further variant, it can be produced by one of the two materials of the cap or by assembling the two materials of the cap.

[55] The hat can thus be worn securely while leaving both hands of the wearer free.

[56] With the tie 14 tied around the neck of the wearer, the hat can be swung backwards, and no longer be worn on the head, but simply folded down over the shoulders or at the back of the back if necessary. [57] The cap portion 7 and the perimeter portion 8 are flexible. The flexibility of the cap, and in particular of the cap portion 7, makes it possible to receive different head shapes and/or hairstyles. Thus, the hat can be worn while preserving a hairstyle such as, for example, a bun. The hat is reversible between a first configuration, shown in Figure 1, shown above, and a second configuration, shown in Figure 2, in which the hat can also be worn. Thus, in the configuration of FIG. 2, the first face 5 of the hat forms an inner face, facing the wearer's head, and the second face 6 of the hat forms an outer face, facing the sun. As shown in Figure 3, in this second configuration, the clip 14 is retained as installed in the first embodiment. The side strands can then be attached so as to pull down the side sides of the perimeter portion over the face.

[58] According to an exemplary embodiment, the cap 1 has a through opening through which the fastener 14 can pass. For example, cap 1 has two through openings through which clip 14 can be passed. The two through openings are for example symmetrical to each other with respect to the X-Z plane. They can be located in the back portion of the hat. Thus, a central portion of the fastener 14 is arranged on the outer face of the hat, and the two lateral strands of the fastener each extend through a through opening, and on the inner face of the hat.

[59] Alternatively, the clip 14 is retained on the cap portion by friction. In this exemplary embodiment, the clip 14 can be separated from the cap portion. In this second configuration, the clip 14 can be removed from the cap, then threaded in the other direction. The central portion of the clip 14 is disposed on the exterior face of the cap, and the two side strands of the clip each extend through the through opening, and on the interior face of the cap. Clip 14 can be used to attach the hat to the wearer. For example, the two side strands 15 are tied together under the wearer's neck, as shown in Figure 2.

[60] Whether from the first or the second configuration, the cap can be compacted into a third configuration for storage, as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4 shows an alternative embodiment of the first embodiment described above, in which the fastener 14 is made by a thin tape. This implies in particular a deformation of the rib 25. Different modes of deformation are possible, so as to form a circle of reduced diameter for the rib 25. The compacted cap can thus be inserted into a pouch. The pouch can be fitted with a hooking system, for example a carabiner, to attach the pouch to clothing, a bag, etc. [61] When it is taken out of the pouch, by the effect of the rib 25, the hat deploys easily immediately and by itself into a configuration where it can be worn.

[62] Thus, in the embodiment which has just been presented, the hat comprises a clip 14 and a capping portion. The styling portion itself comprises a textile portion and one (or more) stays. The textile portion comprises a cap portion and a perimeter portion. Accessories can be assembled to the styling portion, removable or permanently, such as the clip 14 as described above, or a visor (two-tone folding inside the perimeter or on the outside as desired ), for example.

[63] The embodiment that has just been presented can therefore be worn in many different ways. Fastener 14 can be tied around the neck, as a chin strap or at the back of the neck. As a variant, the fastener 14 can be placed on the side of the outer surface, for example wrapped around the cap portion 7, tied above the peripheral portion 8 at the rear, on a lateral side or on the 'front, or extend over the lateral sides of the perimeter portion to be attached under it by folding the lateral sides of the perimeter portion 8 on the ears. These ways are possible in both directions of reversibility of the hat.

[64] Figure 5 shows, in top view, a detail of a second embodiment which, for the rest, is similar to the first embodiment. This embodiment includes a stiffening system 16 of the visor. This stiffening system 16 makes it possible to stiffen the visor. According to the proposed embodiment, the stiffening system 16 comprises two whales 17, 18 which intersect. The stiffening system 16 is for example symmetrical with respect to the X-Z plane. Thus, the two ribs 17, 18 intersect in the X-Z plane. Each extends for example from the radially inner edge 10 to the radially outer edge 11. The ribs 17, 18 are for example made of the same material as the peripheral rib presented above. The whales 17, 18 are elastic.

[65] Figure 6 shows a side view of a third embodiment of the invention. This embodiment is described with reference to the first embodiment. In this third embodiment, the peripheral portion 8 comprises a front peripheral portion 19 and a rear peripheral portion 20. The front peripheral portion 19 comprises the rib 25. In the example shown, the cap portion 7 s extends between the front peripheral portion 19 and the rear peripheral portion 20. Thus, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 7, the cap portion 7 comprises a tongue 21 which extends between the front peripheral portion 19 and the back portion of perimeter 20. The front portions of perimeter 19 and rear portions of perimeter 20 are sewn to the tongue 21.

[66] In addition, in this embodiment, the clip 14 is made integrally with the peripheral portion 8, in particular the rear peripheral portion 20. Thus, the cap 1 according to this embodiment comprises a part 22 a portion of which forms the peripheral rear portion 20. From this portion extend two lateral strands 15 which form the attachment 14.

[67] As can be seen in Figure 6, the front perimeter portion 19 can be configured to substantially circle the wearer's face. Thus, the two opposite ends of the front circumferential portion 19 can be approached to each other under the chin of the wearer. The ends of the whale can then be arranged close to each other. Thus, as visible in figure 6, the whale takes the form of an arc of a circle in a vertical plane in front of the face of the wearer.

The hat, in particular the front portion of the periphery 19, then has a configuration in which it forms an envelope extending in front of the wearer's face, which makes it possible to offer protection of the face vis-à-vis the bodies carried by the wind, for example sand, animals, insects, bacteria, viruses or other.

According to the embodiments, a more or less wide diameter can be provided for this front peripheral edge.

[68] If necessary, the hat according to this embodiment includes a system for holding the envelope, allowing good protection of the face. This holding system comprises for example an elastic rib 26 holding the peripheral edge at a distance from the cap portion. For example, a whale extending in the X-Z plane is provided, which is compatible with reversibility and storage in compact form. This whale extends for example from the radially inner edge 10 at the rear to the peripheral edge 9 at the front.

[69] Figure 8 shows a fourth embodiment of the invention. The embodiment in question repeats the architecture of the third embodiment with a cap portion 7 and a perimeter portion 8 in two parts comprising a front perimeter portion 19 and a rear perimeter portion 20 between which are interposed a of the cap portion 7. This fourth embodiment, however, differs from the third embodiment by the rear peripheral portion 20. The rear peripheral portion 20 has a greater central length LL than the lateral lengths, the length being measured normally from the radially inner edge 10. Thus, the peripheral rear portion 20 descends into the wearer's back to protect the neck and shoulders. Depending on the variants, this cape can extend to the shoulder blades, to the pelvis, or even to the lower limbs. The rear perimeter portion 20 can be made in two parts assembled together. According to this example, the peripheral rear portion 20 comprises a proximal piece 23 and a distal piece 24, the “proximal” and “distal” characters being evaluated with respect to the position of the head. The proximal piece 23 can be sewn to the cap portion 7, as presented above for the third embodiment. The proximal part 23 and the distal part 24 can be assembled together in a removable manner. Provision is made, for example, for assembly by press studs (as shown) or by hook-and-loop strips, or the like. This system makes it possible to disassemble the distal part of the hat 1 if necessary.

[70] According to yet another aspect, the distal piece 24 can assume an extended configuration, as shown in FIG. 8, and a retracted configuration in which it is compacted and secured to the proximal piece in this configuration. The attachment can for example be achieved by press studs, by self-gripping band, or other.

[71] Thus, according to one example, the proximal piece 23 comprises two sections superimposed on each other so as to form a pocket. The distal piece 24 can be inserted into the pocket, which is closed on it by any appropriate means, for example by press studs.

[72] As seen in Figure 9, the proximal piece 23 and the front perimeter portion 19 are sewn together to form the perimeter portion 8.

[73] Figure 10 now shows a fifth embodiment. This embodiment is described below with reference to that of FIG. 6. This embodiment differs from the latter by the addition of a visor 27. The visor 27 is sewn to the covering portion. In the particular case, the visor 27 is assembled directly to the perimeter portion 8, more precisely to the front perimeter portion 19. In the example shown, the visor 27 is made of a single material. In the present case, the constituent material of the visor 27 is one of the constituent materials of the covering portion. Indeed, the visor can be placed in at least two configurations: a first configuration in which the visor extends in the continuity of the styling portion, with its outer face in the continuity of the outer face of the styling portion, and a second configuration, represented in figure 10, in which the visor is folded back, so that the face presented as

"outer" in the first configuration now faces the outer face of the capping portion.

[74] Alternatively, the visor 27 could be made of the same bi-material as the covering portion. [75] As also visible in Figure 10, there can be a drawstring 28 which extends in a channel 29 of the peripheral edge of the visor 27, and is grippable so as to be able to tighten the visor on the head.

[76] As presented above, the cap can be made from a bi-material and be reversible. This allows the same hat to be adapted to the weather conditions in which it is intended to be worn.

[77] According to an exemplary embodiment, a material is an impermeable material. If this material forms the outer surface of the hat, it protects the wearer from rain or other precipitation.

[78] According to an exemplary embodiment, a material is a warm material, for example wool, fleece, natural or synthetic fur, etc...

[79] According to an exemplary embodiment, a material is a material offering protection against ultraviolet radiation, in particular ultraviolet A and/or B radiation. If this material constitutes the outer surface of the hat, it protects the wearer from ultraviolet radiation. For example, a material of the type known as “pearl powder” can be used.

[80] Thus, depending on the embodiments, and the functionalities that one wishes to give to the hat, two materials will be chosen from the available materials.

[81] Where appropriate, the hat may be fitted with an adjustment system allowing several stable positions to be defined for the visor. Thus, thanks to this adjustment system, it is possible to place the visor in different positions, which makes it possible to adapt quickly to various weather conditions, in particular sunshine or light.

[82] According to the embodiments, the hat can be provided with an adjustment system making it possible to adjust the diameter of the tightening of the hat on the head of the wearer. The adjustment system comprises for example a drawstring which can be inserted at the level of a channel at the connection between the cap portion and the peripheral portion 8. This adjustment system is at least compatible with the models not comprising the whale 26.

[83] According to the embodiments, the hat may comprise a visor assembled integrally or removably to the peripheral portion 8, in particular on the front zone thereof. The integral visor is then assembled to the perimeter portion at the front of the hat, and comprises a half-circle whale caught in a channel formed in a bi-material which is that of the hat, and would be foldable inside the around or on the outside. The removable visor can be assembled there for example by press studs. The visor is for example deformable, which makes it possible, for example, to fold it down in front of the eyes. [84] According to the embodiments, the hat can also comprise a fabric, such as a net (providing a mosquito net function).

[85] This fabric can be assembled to the capping portion, for example at the level of the seam joining the capping portion 7 to the peripheral portion 8 on the inside of the hat in a first configuration. It can be retracted into the bottom of the cap portion, for example in a pocket made in the cap portion 7 and provided for this purpose, or by tripling the cap portion with a 3rd thickness, which would make it possible to store the mosquito net distributed over the entire circumference of the cap portion or at the rear of this same cap circumference.

[86] Alternatively, it can be retracted into the perimeter portion 8 between the peripheral edge and the inner radial edge. The fabric then folds into a third thickness, for example at the rear quarter of the perimeter portion.

[87] If necessary, each side of the hat can be provided with such a fabric.

[88] Depending on the embodiments, the clip 14 can take different shapes, and be made of different materials. According to an exemplary embodiment, the clip 14 has a significant length and width, allowing it to be wrapped around the face, simply leaving a slit for the eyes.

[89] The hat presented here is compatible with other upper body equipment such as, for example, a respiratory protection mask, goggles (which are then protected from inconveniences such as fog or precipitation), a veil, barrettes or a hair clip, a scarf, a yarmulke or other.

[90] According to the different realizations, the hat is made by an assembly of flexible fabrics and one or more stays. It thus does not include any rigid reinforcement likely to break. It is easily washable, which makes it durable and environmentally friendly.

[91] Materials can be selected to meet ecological, recyclability and/or short circuit requirements, or other logistical, economic or other needs.

[92] The shapes, materials, textures, dimensions of the different textile pieces can be adapted to make a style hat more oriented towards a female audience, towards a male audience, or towards a mixed audience.

[Claim 1] Hat comprising a styling portion comprising a textile portion made of a first and a second material (2,3) superimposed assembled together, said first material (2) being impermeable, said second material (3) offering protection against ultraviolet radiation, the textile portion of the styling portion being produced by several pieces comprising said first and second assembled materials, said pieces being assembled together by sewing, said textile portion of the styling portion comprising a cap portion (7) and a peripheral portion (8) having a peripheral edge, said cap portion (7) being flexible, said peripheral portion (8) being flexible and extending at the front, on the sides, and at the rear of the cap portion (7), a portion extending forward of the perimeter portion being longer from the cap portion than the portions extending to the sides, the cap portion comprising further comprising at least one elastic rib (26) mounted in the peripheral edge of the perimeter portion (8), and constrained by the latter, the rib (26) being able to alternately assume a deployed configuration in which the hat can be worn , and a storage configuration in which the hat is compacted, said hat being reversible between a first stable configuration in which it can be worn with the first material (2) inside and the second material (3) outside and, a second stable configuration in which it can be worn with the first material (2) on the outside and the second material (3) on the inside, the hat further comprising a clip (14) adapted to be secured with the cap portion and adapted to attach the cap portion to the neck in both the first configuration and the second configuration.

[Claim 2] Hat according to claim 1, wherein said cap portion is made from a central piece (12) and two side pieces (13) assembled thereto.

[Claim 3] Hat according to one of Claims 1 to 2, in which the clip (14) is made of one of the first and second materials.

[Claim 4] Hat according to one of Claims 1 to 3, in which the fastener (14) is sewn to the covering portion.

[Claim 5] Hat according to one of Claims 1 to 4, in which the capping portion comprises two through openings through which the clip (14) is threaded.

[Claim 6] Hat according to one of claims 1 to 5, in which the peripheral portion (8) comprises a front peripheral portion (19) and a rear peripheral portion (20), and in which the rib (26 ) extends in a peripheral edge of the front circumference portion.

[Claim 7] Hat according to one of claims 1 to 6, further comprising at least one additional stay (17, 18, 25) which does not hinder placement in the storage configuration, and adapted to provide adjustment and/or stiffening.

[Claim 8] Hat according to one of claims 1 to 7, further comprising at least one removable part, such as a cape or a visor.

[Claim 9] Hat according to one of Claims 1 to 8, in which the peripheral portion (8) forms a pocket into which a cape can be retracted.

[Claim 10] System comprising a hat according to any one of claims 1 to 9, and a pouch adapted to receive the hat in the storage configuration.
