Description
DESCRIPTION
VEHICLE-MOUNTED MOBILE PHONE VISOR
TECHNICAL FIELD
The utility model relates generally to the technical field of automobile articles, in particular to a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor.
BACKGROUND OF THE UTILITY MODEL
People often choose to use a mobile phone for navigation when driving. These mobile phones are mounted on the vehicles dashboards, or on motorcycle handle bars. Because sunlight will tend to irradiate on a mobile phone screen, this makes it difficult for the drivers to see the display on the screen due to the glare reflected thereon, thus, driving is affected seriously and safety is compromised.
Some mobile phone holders are provided with a special visor that is inserted in between the holder and the mobile phone. Said special visor comes in a wedge shaped body having a pair of side panels, a rear panel and a top panel extending forwardly to reduce the glare on the screen of the mobile phones. The rear panels which is provided with at least one vertical slot is insertable at the back of the mobile phone.
Two main drawbacks, however, are attributed on this kind of design. First, once the user would like to dismount the mobile phone from the mobile phone holder, the visor has to be removed first before unclamping the mobile phone from the mobile phone holder. The user or rider should also bring the visor with him as no means is provided on the mobile phone holder to secure said visor and therefore could be easily be stolen from the motorcycle. This situation seems very
cumbersome on the part of the user/rider and which is required to be addressed. The other disadvantage of said visor is in the part of the manufacturer. Each of this visor is usually designed for a specific brand and model of a mobile phone. Thus, it requires the manufacturer to produce a visor device for each brand and model of mobile phone. All models of mobile phone have a corresponding pattern for a visor and every time a new model of mobile phone comes out in the market, the manufacturer should make new pattern of a visor for said new model of mobile phone, making it very impractical and expensive.
The primary objective of this utility model therefore is to provide a vehiclemounted mobile phone visor which eliminates or at least reduce the glare on the screen of the mobile phone when using said mobile phone as a navigation device.
Another object of this utility model is to provide a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor that is fixed on the mobile phone holder, thus, making it secured and not easily stolen even said visor is left in the vehicle such as a motorcycle and the like.
Still an object of this utility model is to provide a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor that can be used for any brand and model of mobile phones.
Yet an object of this utility model is to provide a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor having a pair of superimposed complementary members that are fixed to the opposing clamp members of the mobile phone holder and being slidable with each other, thus able to accommodate any size of mobile phone.
Another object of this utility model is to provide a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor that is so simple in construction, cheaper cost and can be easily manufactured using simple and ordinary equipment.
These and other objects and advantages will come to view upon a reading
of the detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring now to the several views of the drawing, wherein like reference numeral designates same parts throughout, there is shown a utility model for a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor generally designated as reference numeral 10.
Said vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor 10 is adapted to be mounted on a mobile phone mounting device 11 usually secured on a vehicle such cars, trucks, or even motorcycles. Said vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor 10 is used to reduce the glare or brightness being reflected on the mobile phone screen. There are different models of mobile phones mounting devices, all of these devices includes a mounting arm 12 (shown in dotted lines, it being not included in the present utility model), and a mobile phone holding clamp 13 attached to said mounting arm 12. Some models of said mobile phones mounting devices 11 have different structures but still utilizing a pair of complementary left and right holding members 14 and 15 defining said mobile phone holding clamp 13, such as those provided with a screw member connected to a rotatable knob 16. The screw
member may be secured on its end to one of the complementary left and right holding members 14 and 15, while the other end is rotatable engage with the other complementary holding member. And by simple manual rotation of the rotatable knob would drive the left and right holding members 14 and 15 inwardly to secure a mobile phone or outwardly to release the mobile phone.
The present utility model for a vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor 10 which is preferably made of plastic material such as ABS plastic, comprises of a pair of complementary left and right visor members 17 and 18 that are respectively secured to the left and right holding members 14 and 15 of the mobile phone holding clamp 13 of the mobile phone mounting device 11 . Said visor members 17 and 18 which can be fixedly secured or screwable secured to said mobile phone mounting device are each defined by a back panel (19, 20), a side panel (21 , 22), provided forwardly from the opposing outer edges (23, 24) of the back panel (19, 20), and a top panel (25, 26) projecting forwardly from the upper edges of the back panel (19, 20) and side panel (21 , 22). It has to be noted that said left and right visor members 17 and 18 overlaps each other along the opposing inner edges (27,28) of the back panels 19 and 20, and the opposing inner edges (29,30) the of the top panels 25 and 26 in order that said left and right visor members 17 and 18 would just slide towards each other when mounting a mobile phone on said left and right holding members 14 and 15 of said mobile phone clamping member 13, and retracts from each other when releasing the mobile phone thereof. As best seen in the drawing said left and right visors members 17 and 18 are each provided with slots 31 along the respective back panels 19 and 20, so that the left and right holding members 14 and 15 of said mobile phone clamping member 13 could be inserted and pass through to hold the mobile phone being mounted
thereof. In view of the structure of said vehicle-mounted mobile phone visor 10 as described herein, it can accommodate all kinds and models of mobile phones regardless of their width sizes.
