Abstract

The present invention relates to a new upper table for use in household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers and to the production method of said upper table.

Description

UPPER TABLE STRUCTURE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a new upper table that does not contain a chipboard layer for use in household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers and to the production method of said upper table.
State of the Art
Particle board (chipboard) and MDF are widely used in wood-based product production processes. The trees selected according to the desired properties are stored and dried in two classes according to their special breaker chip sizes in the production of particleboard (chipboard) and MDF. Special synthetic adhesive and hardening chemicals (Melamineformaldehyde (MF), Melamine-urea formaldehyde (MUF), Urea-formaldehyde (UF), Phenol formaldehyde (PF) are used to bond the sawdust divided into two classes together. The sawdust mixture into which said chemicals are added is dried and cooling is applied after two pressing steps. Chipboard and MDF are ready for use as a result of sanding the edges in the next step. However, there are many processing steps that lead to energy consumption in said production process. This causes an increase in production costs. In addition to this, the formaldehyde emission process in the use of chemicals poses a danger to workers and environmental health. Production is directly based on wood chopping and production cannot be carried out in the absence of wood chopping. Therefore, the chip and MDF board production methods currently being applied in the technical field bring environmental problems such as deterioration of ecological balance and air pollution. The precautions to be taken so as to prevent the ecological effects of the process require the use of additional resources, which creates a problem in terms of efficient use of resources.
The upper tables used in the state of the art mainly consist of chipboard with a plastic frame attached to their edges. At the same time, fixing parts are adhered to the washing machine or dishwasher. This situation both makes recycling difficult and creates a disadvantage in terms of cost. Robots are needed in order to adhere the frame and fixing parts onto particle board during the production process, thus more energy is used and costs increase. Furthermore, adhering the frame to the chipboard by means of adhesive is undesirable in the technical field. Two different molds are used and it is not possible to produce with a single mold on the same machine in the current production processes. A higher tonnage machine and a larger mold are required for the plastic injection process of the plastic frame and plastic lower fixing parts in a single mold in the production where adhesive is used. In addition to this, the desired reductions in costs and production time cannot be obtained, since time loss and adhesive material are required for the bonding process. Separate molds are used for the frame and separate molds are used for the bottom fixings In the process that continues to be applied in the sector. Subsequently, said three separate elements (frame, chipboard and fastening elements) coming out of separate molds are integrated as a single piece by means of the bonding process. However, disadvantages such as storage, use of adhesive, and adhesion time brought by the adhesion process, arise in these processes. Using two separate molds and two separate processes (injection and bonding processes) causes time, material and cost problems.
The utility model document with the application number TR 2018/15976 was encountered in the patent and literature research carried out for the known state of the art. Said document relates to an upper top containing different materials together within its structure. In accordance with this aim, upper table includes different pieces in terms of structure and design such as natural wood veneered plates, chipboard MDF plate, lacquer, marble, metal, glass, ceramic, fabric and leather covered panels, plywood and its derivatives, solid woods. In addition to said components, at least one jointing is located in the upper table structure so as to prevent deformation due to expansion. However, the upper table of the document contains wood-based materials, brings along the above mentioned technical problems regarding the final product and production process.
The utility model application with the application number TR 2016/02872 relates to a table top and method of covering the table top, which has been developed for use in indoor and outdoor places such as school, home, and workplace, garden. Said table top consists of chipboard or MDF in the middle, veneer positioned on the top of this chipboard or MDF, and plywood that provides high resistance to moisture by closing the edges. Said utility model application is insufficient in solving the problems mentioned in the technical field in terms of containing chipboard or MDF. As a result, due to the abovementioned disadvantages and the insufficiency of the current solutions regarding the subject matter, a development is required to be made in the relevant technical field.
Brief Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a novel upper table and a production method thereof which fulfills the abovementioned requirements, eliminate all disadvantages and bring some additional advantages.
The main aim of the invention is to obtain a new upper table structure that does not contain chipboard for white goods such as washing machine and dishwasher. A low cost and faster new upper table product is obtained without causing any difference in terms of visual and performance with the applications in the present state of the art.
An aim of the invention is to provide a one-stage or two-stage production process for the production of the upper table. The pressure of the middle surface, frame and fasteners of the upper table is achieved at once in the mold in one-stage molding (frame, chipboard replacement area, kraft paper, melamine coating and fasteners). First of all, selected plastic materials are injected into the middle surface of the upper table and the connection parts in two-stage molding. The frame, which is only visually important, is injected later Therefore, it is ensured that the frame is visible on the product from the outside. In the case of using two-stage ejection, it can be applied to the middle surface of the upper table with conventional (normal injection) as well as microcellular physical foaming method. As a result, the fasteners in the invisible part of the product or the plastic middle surface can be obtained from a cheaper raw material with the help of said production method alternatives. This provides an advantage in terms of economic cost.
The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following detailed description. Therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking this detailed description into consideration.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the invention are described only for clarifying the subject matter in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
The present invention relates to an upper table (A) for use in household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers and to the production method of said upper table (A). Figure 1 is a general view of the inventive upper table (A). Accordingly, said top table (A) includes a laminate structure comprising melamine coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2) integrated with each other. There are two types of laminate for use. These are HPL and CPL laminate types. HPL laminate is produced by pressing impregnated melamine coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2) in special presses under high temperature and pressure. HPL laminates show high abrasion and scratch resistance, and gain an antibacterial and hygienic surface feature with its non-porous surface structure with this technology. CPL laminate; is produced by pressing melamine coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2) impregnated under different conditions with rollers under high pressure and temperature. Apart from similar properties with HPL laminate, there are natural surface options.
The melamine-coated decor paper (3) remains on the visible upper surface for decorative and visual purposes. Plastic (1) is injected into the Kraft paper (2), which is integrated into the melamine-coated decor paper (3). Talc added polypropylene, calcite added polypropylene, glass fiber added polypropylene, basalt added polypropylene, glass ball added polypropylene, polyamide, ABS, polypropylene - ABS mixtures with or without additives are used as plastic (1) in the inventive upper table (A). The plastic (1) raw material contains maleic anhydride so as to ensure that the plastic (1) raw material and the Kraft paper (2) on the back surface of the melamine-coated decor paper (3) adhere to each other. A mixture is formed with the main raw material (PP, PP&Talc, ABS, ABS&Talc, ABS & Calcium carbonate) from the polyethylene raw material containing at least 0.1% maleic anhydride by weight in an amount in the range of 5%-30% in the invention.
A laminate structure (HPL or CPL) comprising melamine-coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2), and at least one frame (5) on the edges of the plastic (1 ) is configured. Said frame (5) can be produced from the same or different material as the plastic (1 ).
Figure 2 is a general view of the production process of the inventive upper table (A). First of all the plastic (1) structure is produced in the inventive production method of the upper table (A). Talc added polypropylene, calcite added polypropylene, glass fiber added polypropylene, basalt added polypropylene, glass ball added polypropylene, polyamide, ABS, polypropylene - ABS mixtures with or without additives are used as plastic (1) in the said method. It is possible to use said components alone or in different combinations. Maleic anhydride is added to the components selected as plastic (1). Thus, said plastic raw material and the Kraft paper (2) on the back surface of the melamine-coated decor paper (3) are adhered to each other. A mixture is formed with the main raw material (PP, PP&Talc, ABS, ABS&Talc, ABS & Calcium carbonate) from the polyethylene raw material containing at least 0.1% maleic anhydride in an amount in the range of 5%-30% in the invention. In an embodiment of the invention, it is also possible to use SBS (styrene butadiene styrene) or SEBS (styrene ethylene butadiene styrene) material. However, the cost will be higher. It can be used with polyethylene containing 0.1% maleic anhydride or with SBS alone (styrene butadiene styrene) or SEBS (styrene ethylene butadiene styrene), in the range of 1% -10% with or without maleic anhydride.
In the next process step, the plastic (1) material infused with maleic anhydride is fed to the machine.
The laminate structure (HPL or CPL) that is used in the inventive upper table (A) structure and contains melamine-coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2) in an integrated form, is placed in the injection mold (4) and the extruder so that injection is made to the Kraft paper (2) part. It is important that the melamine-coated decor paper (3) is placed on the upper surface in terms of appearance and quality. In this sense, while the melamine- coated decor paper (3) remains on the upper surface, plastic injection is applied to the kraft paper (2), which is integrated into the melamine-coated decor paper (3). The process of placing the laminate structure in the mold (4) is carried out simultaneously with the feeding of the maleic anhydride-infused plastic (1) material into the injection machine. The molten plastic (1) is injected after the injection mold (4) is closed. The plastic (1) raw material containing maleic anhydride is injected on the back surface of the Kraft paper (2) and the side sections along with the injection of the plastic (1). Thus, it is possible to capture the strength and thickness of particleboard or MDF. Alternatively, said plastic (1) injection can be made to the middle surface (7) and connecting parts (6) of the melamine- coated decor paper (3) or laminate. In a different embodiment of the invention, said plastic (1) injection can be carried out by physical foaming method on the back surface of melamine-coated decor paper (3) or laminate. As an alternative to said foaming method, it is also possible to apply chemical foaming as an injection.
The plastic (1) material and the laminate structure are transformed into a compact form with the injection of the plastic (1) into the desired areas. The injection of ABS or high- gloss polypropylene raw material, which will create the form determined according to the design, is applied to the edge parts of the plastic (1) material and laminate structure. Thus, a frame (5) is obtained for the upper table (A). The detail view of the frame (5) on the upper table (A) is given in Figure 3.
In an embodiment of the invention, it is also possible to use SBS or SEBS material. However, the cost will be higher.
In order to solve the technical problems mentioned above and to realize all the advantages that can be understood from the detailed explanation, the present invention is an upper table (A) to be used in household items such as washing machine, dishwasher, characterized by comprising the following;
• A laminate structure comprising melamine coated decor paper (3) and Kraft paper (2) integrated with each other,
